Post’s Author Opinion:
Note: This is a personal opinion, it does not reflect YaoiOtaku’s official position towards the novel.

I’m really not sure if these type of series are actually series or films. I mean, the episodes put together are around the same as a feature length, and yet, they are separated, in this case, in 8 episodes, 14 minutes each. I’m sure there is a reason for it, but it’s so confusing to me. I can’t think of it as a film and I can’t think of it as a (mini-)series either. It’s some sort of hybrid that I have no idea how to categorise. Because of that my viewing experience is also different. I can’t take it seriously no matter what. That works in the benefit of the ‘series’ because I tend to ignore plot holes, and against it because I tend to not care too much about the story or the characters.

You Make Me Dance is a nice, cute film. The first thing I liked was the casting, I liked the two main characters, but I don’t necessarily think there was chemistry between them. I liked the pairing, but there was something lacking. When it comes to them as individuals, I liked them a lot. Song Shi On was this young adult trying to succeed on his own while struggling with a massive debt, and Jin Hong Seok was this tough looking debt collector with a very soft and a bit fragile interior. So yeah, separately I liked them, but together I didn’t really feel it.

The plot wasn’t too bad, it was actually okay, if maybe too drama oriented. I liked that it wasn’t too over the top, it had enough credibility and it worked out. Overall You Make Me Dance is a nice series, warm feely watch.
