Summary: Yashiro, a Yakuza who has a promising future ahead of him in japans underworld, is a beautiful and captivating man, that has to deal with a lot of issues. One day, Doumeki Chikara a stoic ex-cop that recently came out of prison got hired as a loan shark by Yashiro’s group. Because of his tough and cold appearance he decides to keep him as his bodyguard. The lewd and masochistic gang leader who seems to be mesmerized by Doumeki’s gaze makes a move on him, though it turns out to be that the quiet man who caught Yashiro’s interest is impotent. Although knowing the secret of his new subordinate, he still can’t keep his hands off him and also gets emotionally more attached.
This is a thrilling story about two men with a dark and tragic past, who have no other choice left than living a life as Yakuza. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles together on their way to attaining happiness and start a new life away from danger?

This masterpiece written by Yoneda Kou is one of my absolute favorite BL Manga! I stopped counting how many times i re-read this gem. The Story-line is so perfectly thought through, that although the Manga already consists out of 5 volumes and is ongoing for more than ten years, you can’t help but stay on track and wait impatiently for every update.
It is a must-read for every fan of the Yakuza genre. People who prefer a mature/ adult setting with complex plot will definitely also come at their costs.
this Manga has every thing you wish for; starting with action packed scenes and comical moments followed by some heart-wrenching, tragic episodes. And as if it isn’t enough, you will be treated with plenty of “spicy” scenes where nosebleeds are guaranteed 😉
In my opinion the artwork of Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is flawless, which makes the whole story even more enjoyable.
