Post’s Author Opinion:
Note: This is a personal opinion, it does not reflect YaoiOtaku’s official position towards the manga.
I bet a lot of you also wanted to know more about the gloomy and pitiful side character Rogi Uichi, after reading “Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki”. ^_^ If that’s the case, then you can probably relate to my happiness when hearing about the release of this manga, that gives us insights into the background story of Rogi and his flame Akitora Ooyamato!
“Jealousy” is a entertaining and exciting Yakuza manga. It tells us the stirring story of Rogi’s passionate affair with the married gang leader, Akitora. So you can imagine all the drama and emotional turmoil you will experience while reading about poor Rogi’s one sided love and fruitless relationship with him 🙁
One thing I really like about this story is the love triangle between Akitora, his wife and Rogi. Honestly, it is rare to see such a cool, tough and confidant female character in a BL manga like the woman of Akitora who is at eye level with her male rival. And yes, she is so badass that even Rogi accepts his defeat 😀 But besides her, the MC’s in this manga truly shine throughout the whole story. They are so captivating and interesting that it’s hard to put the manga aside once you’ve started reading.
As always, the artwork of Scarlet Beriko is one of a kind. In Comparison to her other manga it feels more mature and sensual. And i must say, with Rogi’s androgynous character design, She fully hit my taste 😉
So, to sum it all up and to avoid more spoilers, i’ll Come to an end. I think this story is a ‘must read’ if you read the prequel to this manga because only then, you will fully understand the reason for Rogi’s actions involving Akitora’s son. But even if you haven’t had the chance to read “Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki” yet, this very thrilling and fun story about a dangerous and unconventional relationship is still worth looking in to. So please, don’t miss out on this 😉
