Yeah. I reactivated some old roleplays with them (I'm just back from hiatus) and that made them happy... only I'm not feeling the genre of slice-of-life and I can't handle too many roleplays or too fast because I have work. Le sigh.

I have many stories to recount, mine and theirs.

And then I realize - rediscover it over and over again,

that all is made of such little stories.

 

From the old farmer's first car which he uses each morning

to distribute the milk in his small village to that woman,

dressed in red in a night bar. Her eyes gently following the lights,

while fingers pressing the piano's keys.

 

And that child over there, playing in the sand with its imaginary friend.

But that dog, too. It's chasing after a dove outside, nearby the old fountain.

Don't be mistaken though, even the dove has its story.

 

I don't believe in 'time', it does not exist.

But I do so in such little stories instead.

It isn't that I thought "this could never happen here."

It was "I didn't think it would be this bad..."

The trifecta of the dry brush, the heat, and the high winds...

have made this fire one of the worst I've seen,

it has caused a trauma on my city that will take years to recover from....

People I don't know but who are still my neighbors, their lives changed....

houses and buildings I've seen everyday reduced to a slab....

memories and belongings turned to dust, and the landscape....

scarred and burnt into something unrecognizable.

The place I was born and raised, changed for years to come....

We are strong, and we will recover....this has brought out the best in us.

But the reality and the pain...Is something I wasn't expecting....

After watching a hipster dude talking about using 'Lava Lamps' to keep the internet secure, I thought wow that is a cool way to achieve the ultimate randomness. And then reality hits you. That's quite a power-consuming way to create randomness man and f'ck imagine all the dust you have to wipe off. But still a nice idea.
