"How is the duke, is he better?" Chase asked politely since it was good to show consens for ones host whom's home they were staying at.

"The duke is renovering greatly and is currantly eating in the hall with a friend. The headbutler told Chase. Though it was a quick and straight forward explanation.

"Well then we can't bother the lord now. But could you tell him the minister Hanu sends his greetings." 

The old silverfox narrowed his eyes enough for Chase to notice it. The man still doubted him. But that was not something that concerned Chase. He only needed Tristan thrust anyway.

 

As the next days went on. Chase recived a few letters from minister Hanu, and a few other ministers he hadn't even meet. But the letters all contained the same topick. They wanted money, although the word itself never were written in any of them, the entire letter refered towards it.

Chase had thought it best it wait and hold the conversation back as the uproar in the city grew louder.

Lower nobles were not backing the  commoners protesting of high tages.

Eachday more people were thrown on the streets.

Chase began to go with Leo sometimed when he went outside the mansion to see the situation for himself.

He wore a thick old coat with a big hold to hid himself from being spotted by any minister or nobels whom might have seen him before.

 

One early morning Chase and Leo was on their way to an old house where lots of people had gathered together after lossing their homes. After an intense fire had broke out near the slums hundres of people were slowely starting to get sick cause of lacking  hygiene and food.

Chase had given Leo all their pocket money to buy food. Soup and bread was easy to make with a very few ingredients. Leo would bring the food and people around would then prepare the sound and handouts.

When Chase wasn't beeing dragged from place to place he got a rare change to go with Leo to bring the food.

Just like now.

 

They had only just put the last boxes down and already a lage group of ladies were buzzing around them to prepare the food.

The where all familiar with Leo of coures and greeted him with brigh and kind faces.

"Good morning sirs"

"You are early as alway, thank for you help sir Leon"

A group of young kids cam runing towards then and one familiar kid shouted out. "Sir, good morning!"

Alle the children were dirty but looked healthy enough aside from that.

Chase got dragged into a conversation with a little girl whom told him she didn't like the boiled carrots. She said she would offer those to her grandpa since he couldn't chew hard things.

 

A screamed broke the slow morning buzzing and more shouts followed.

Armed soldiers was coming through the small streets like a swam of ants. They were knocking befor kicking doors open and started dragging people outside.

Chase and Leo tried to get away but so were many other people as well. But the streets were surrounded and knights with drawn swords blocked the people trying to escape.

The fear in the air was so thick as everyone was pushing against eachother in the chaos.

Chase was holding onto Leo's hand as his tried to make sense of the sceen. But suddenly someone pushed into him hard and his grip on leo slipped.

He tried pushing back but the crowd was pushing them futher and futher apart.

A man cried out when Chase pushed back into the mass of people. He insteadly stopped.

'I'll be fine, we'll find eachother after this' Chase tried saying over their bond as he payed attention not to hurt any more people.

 

"QUIET!"

the street became silenced, aside from a few babies crying somewhere in the crowd.

Everyone turned their eyes yo a little fat man clothed in red and blue stripes.

"By orders of King Georg Raft the l and minister Wallis. Is every man and woman between the age of 16 til 30 ordered to voluntarily serve their country. Very person who resistens or dosen't volunter will be exalt and prosecuted." The speaker shouted loud and clear as he read up from the thick paper scroll.

"The knight are here to reinforce his Majesty's wishes and will jugde every person present."

More shouts started as the crowd disagreed with this order. The knights began grapping people and forced their hoods out of the way. Then they pressed a stemple of ink over their right hand and pushed them on th the knight's behind them.

Everything happened so quickly that he couldn't understand what was happening. Why would they want so young people to attend the war? What the hell was their deal with all this? He tried to hold on to Chase but when they were separated he tried to look for him and reach back to him but it was impossible with all the people pushing back and forth because of the soldiers.

he tried to keep himself together and not do anything stupid at that moment. He fallowed the others, still looking from side to side, looking for Chase as they were pushed but he couldn't see him. He just hopped he would be okay and safe. As safe one could be in this kind of situations. 

They were locked in carrigase like slaves and carried away.
