Necratoholic is a fun, new take on the vampire/vampire hunter relationship. Sakuya, the vampire, can no longer stomach just any regular human’s blood. He can only drink the blood of vampire hunter and dhampir, Atsumi, but their relationship is more than just complicated. Even though this is a tale of forbidden love it doesn’t give off an air of hopelessness or sadness. For the most part this story is comedic, but still satisfies with just the right amount of darkness and drama. The audience has to solve the mystery of what Atsumi is actually up too–does he want to kill Sakuya or does he actually love him? There’s also a lot of waxing poetic on Sakuya’s part as he wonders this very thing. Necratoholic delivers on just about everything: sadness, humor, drama, smut, love, danger… It’s got everything you need all packed into one, delicious, vampiric story.
