My first one was "Mirage of Blaze." I never thought I would ever get into the BL thing. But, after seeing that anime I was hooked. To watch the struggle of Kagetora and Naoi was heartbreaking. It reminds me of Zetsuia and Bronze. But, boy did I learn WAY too much about the warring states period after that anime, since it was based on factual people and events, I just had to research all of it. To tell you the truth i know about yaoi from non-bl anime, I was watching Genshiken second season there i found Chika Ogiue who is a fan of yaoi-boys love and she draw hardcore doujinshi, there's a scene while her imagination run wild about her two senpai making out, i dont know anything about yaoi that time I was like 'pfft the fuq did just watch?' i was laughing so hard in the same time myheart goes thumping, i realize i dont hate it and i want to watch more about yaoi!

I'm not sure if Kyou Kara Maoh is a yaoi kind of anime but it did take me to love yaoi. I even like the yaoi pairings in non-yaoi anime like Touya-Yukito in Cardcaptor Sakura, Yuki-Kyo in Fruits Basket and even in Saiyuki. Since then I've love yaoi. And Mirage of Blaze is my first yaoi anime.
