Summary: He hit me again today. My lover Kan-chan, that is. But that doesn’t really matter. My love is being rusted by our bodily fluids. Mayama, my middle school classmate, has appeared before my rusted self and become conscious of my bruises and scars. But you want it to be like the past, on that rainy day you kissed me and froze… I won’t be satisfied with a naïve love. Drawn by Ogeretsu Tanaka, this is a story of true love and pain.
The one shot “Azami”, just like the manga “Renai-rubi no Tadashii Furikata” and “Hadakeru Kaibutsu” are adapted from “Sabita Yoru Demo Koi wa Sasayaku” which tell us the story of Yumi’s high school friend and shows us Kan-chan’s side of the story.

Post’s Author Opinion:
Note: This is a personal opinion, it does not reflect YaoiOtaku’s official position towards the manga.
Ogeretsu Tanaka, the queen of emotional and youthful BL manga Strikes once again with a powerful Love Story about the beautiful and endearing Yumi and his unsociable friend from high school, Mayama.
“Sabita Yoru Demo Koi wa Sasayaku” tells us Yumi’s side of the Story which shows us flashbacks from His carefree, happy school days, and scenes from the present. It’s a tragic and at times even painful story about the power of unconditional love and how this trait makes it possible to endure even agonizing mistreatments. Although the overall vibe of this manga is mostly gloomy it has some very sweet moments and a heart-melting ending to catch some breath and cheer the reader up.
One thing that all of Ogeretsu Tanaka’s works have in common are very cute and loveable MC’s that are beautifully portrayed in every single detail. Yumi and Mayama are no exception, especially when they are shown as couple ^_^. What i love the most about the mangaka’s work is the fresh and buoyant artwork which makes it even more fun to read.
I must say that this manga and the related stories (particularily the one about Kan-chan, Yumi’s abusive Ex-lover) are quite sullen compared to her other master pieces. However i love the bitter-sweetness and melancholy of their story. If your are interested in the spin-off’s then it’s best to keep the order mentioned above.
