Name: Erol North

Age: 132

Appearance:

aiGYR8

Eyes: white

Hair: silver

Build: creamy white skin tone and a slightly smaller frame with a a little above average height height

Personality: He has a standoffish attitude in general and looks upon other species as a curiosity. Keeps to himself despite his family's natural urge to move in a group. He actually has a somewhat shy personality but tries to hide it behind an indifferent mask.

Bio: Erol, apologies for lack of ingenuity, is a shark species merman. Not really imagining he would ever get close enough to quench his curiosities, he watches from afar most of the time. He collects things he comes across in the shallows and random nook and crannies in the depths.

------------------post--------------------------

Light glistened through the water as it swayed, a light breeze ruffling the top of it. Erol enjoyed thsee moments. They made it easy to stay afloat without fear of approaching danger. Breaking through the surface of the water, the merman threw his head back to swing his hair away from his face.

Clear of any stray strands, Erol mad his way up the small stream that led to the ocean. This stream was pleasant as it was deep toward the middle and had a gentle flow. Of course gentle to a man of the waters was much rougher to a man of the lands.

He was on a hunt on this sunny day. He had come across a strange object at the mouth of the stream and he hoped he could find something more interesting.

Name: Theo Wells

Age: 22

Theo is expected to been someone strong, capable of taking care of others and work for the good of the pack, just like all his siblings, because he is a jaguar shifter.

But Theo isn’t like that, he has never been able to really fit in, being too small a weak to work for the alfa, and non-praetor shifters wouldn’t dare to hire him.

With thing like this he has always preferred having nothing to do with the pack and only working with humans who were clueless about his shifter ability’s.

Of cause, everyone in his family don’t approve of the way he lives his life, but they also know the fact how things are. His parents mostly worrying about him but understands that he must do what his gonna do to stay sane.

When an uncle form his mother’s side, dies leaving everything he owned to the family, Theo is handle the deed to the man’s house.

Theo has only once meet the person at a family reunion, and didn’t expect the man to put his name in his will. But excited about living on an Island he jumps at the chance, rather than giving the deed to pack as another pack member would have done.

Theo maybe be stubborn and hard to figure out kind of guy, but he has a sweet and caring nature. Even though not many notices since he doesn't show it around other.

Theo is about average height for a human male, but shorter than his brothers. He got short cut blond hair and tan skin from being outside. He got the characteristic light gray eye color, which are from his family line and it transfer on in his animal form.

He got a fit body but it still turns more to the lean side.

Other: He got two upper silver piercings in his left ear.

No one knows that he can’t swim.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Theo was damn right excited, it had taken him about twenty hours this fare which was the longset he had ever traveled alone.

The approval for him to leave the pack grounds had taken longer to get, then what he had expected. He had waited a hole week for the papers to get though. While waiting, he had carful use the time to pack his stuff, and give away the things he wouldn’t need.

He had been surprised just as much as everyone, when they were told that they had inherited from an uncle far out. The guy had some untouched money in his accounted, which was split between his siblings and parents. Most of them donated their share to the pack, others plan on a trip somewhere.

Theo hadn’t needed the money and had refuse his share, some of his siblings with mates and children, had more need of them than he did. But it had only been the day later that a lawyer came to specific tell Theo that he now owned a small house out somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, left to him if he had refused the money.

His mother had tried to persuade him to stay, saying that the place was to fare away, but he hadn’t listened.

His dad had told him ‘man to man’ that he was better of just selling the place or give it to the pack. Theo had just convents his dad that it would had been rude to the man who had left him the place and that he at least wanted to see it before doing anything.

The lawyer had said that the man himself haven’t been there for years, but the house had been kept up-to-date. There was running water, toilet fatalities and an old generator providing for the necessary electricity. There was a small fishing boat, which was the only way off the Island, that or by seaplane.

The plan was that he was going to live there one year, if he didn’t want the place then, he could always move back to the pack and do whatever he wanted with the place.

“That’s the island, we start descending now to make the landing” the pilot said over the speaker, and the other pilot pointed forward some small spots showing just above the waterline.

Theo looked out the window and the smile he had only widened, the place looked bigger from what he was told. The closer they came the more green color came in view, there was a good size jungle on the biggest island, and all around was gorgeous white beaches.

“How come such a place is still almost untouched?” Theo asked, he had never really asked the lawyer that.

“The reef around here is protected, we must have special permission just to drop you off.” The second pilot answered. “The animal life and corals down there are supposed to be amazing, you’re a lucky guy, do you dive?”

“No, I’m not the diving kind, I prefer staying above water” Theo answered the guy, giving no explanation.

“Oh, well to bad, I guess the only thing up land are iguanas, tortoises and other reptiles”

“Didn’t they also released some deers, years back?” Theo meant the Lawyer mentioned that, it made sense since the guy living there before properly had been a shifter like himself.

“Yeah, those too I guess, there aren’t any predators though, so don’t worry about that”

The landing went smooth, and as the plane drifted as close to land as the first pilot dared, the second guy started unpacking a small inflatable boat. Theo grabbed his big backpack, in it he had all his stuff and clothes. There also were a wood box packed with provisions like candles, a battery to a boat engine, milk powder, gas, petrol and a big first aid bag. His mother had insisted on that last one, she had went for 'the bigger the better' and Theo had just let her, thinking that seeing him off that would console her.

But the box was so heavy that the second pilot had to make the trip to the shore and back twice, if not to capsize the small boat, taking Theo and then the box to shore.

“If anything, you can call for help over the radio, the doctor is on channel 3 if you need assisting. Remember that the nearest port is about three hours away, so no just at the last thing call’s, people die from those. Anything else?”

Theo shook his head “I know which channel to call if I do thank you sir, I’ll be careful.”

He gave the man a firm hand shake before the pilot sailed back to the plane though the small blue waves.

Theo stayed watching as the plane took off, leaving the water as smooth as it had landed and rose high up above the island. When the plane was out of sight he turned to look up at the house.

The place from the outside looked just as good as it did on the picture, but he hadn’t counted on seeing it from the beach. He felt like some kid, he just wanted to run up there to explore everything, and he would, but the weight on his shoulders reminded him that he did better put his backpack and the provisions away before he did any excursions.

Hearing a strange noise, Erol dove under the water to hide. He watche'd through the trickles of light as an object disappeared behind trees. He knew the location. It was near the north beach. Swallowing his unsteady heart, the merman swam back to the open waters and used his shark like speed to race to the north beach. He stopped, hidden behind a boulder that jutted out in the water.

Peering around the stone, Erol watched as a human stood with eyes on the sky. He failed to find the strange object from before and guessed it was gone. The man seemed to be satisfied with whatever had his attention and turned away from the ocean.

The shark man waded a little closet to see what was interesting on the shore. Seeing the house, Erol was envious. He had seen the building from afar many times, but he could never check it out.

Seeing the possibilities that lay before him, he decided he would watch the man. It was clearly the best way to learn of anything.

The house / cottage looked just as gorgeous inside as the outside. The whole thing was made by man power and every piece of wood in the place was careful structured to fit. Walking in you could smell the wood and feel the power coming of the walls, no doubt the man building this house had made it with love and a strong arm. The place needed a good cleaning, he would do so later.

He placed his backpack in the Livingroom by the stairs before going back for the for the box still at the beach. The thing was too heavy for him along to carry, so Theo just took whatever he could carry back up to the house until he had got everything.

The gas, petrol and engine was put in the workshop, the other things he lay out on the kitchen table, he would find space for those things later. Right now, Theo only care was to examine every room in this house, and then his jaguar really needed to go for a run. Being enclosed in for twenty hours in going from plane to plane, wasn’t something he was used to.

Theo checked the downstairs before moving upstairs. Ah… He was already falling in love with the place, the living space was huge and both up and downstairs had a fire-place which were a lovely touch, considering that they would rarely be use in a warm environment, but he had been told some nights could be chilly.

There was a master bedroom with a bathroom, as well as two guest rooms. Downstairs a bathroom was placed besides a small storage room, filled with can-food and dried herbs. The kitchen like the building was in wood, yet these planks were lighter in an almost with color, and though it was dusty, he could see just how it would look clean.

After having explored the house, Theo couldn’t keep the animal from showing much more. He ran out the door and through the sand heading forwards the trees, throwing off his clothes.

He knew no one was around other than him, back at his parent’s house Theo would never had taken the chance to just run out throwing of his clothes, let alone shift in public. But here none of that mattered since no one was watching.

Theo’s shift went over him as he made the last jump though the tree line. He knew others find the shift painful and slow, but his always felt a tickling as the fur grew right before he then felt numb.

He ran a few feet’s before he stood to utter a loud relieving roar, his jaguar loved that it could be as loud as it wanted and run wild. The cat was scratching tree’s making it scent and rolling around in the jungle forest floor. He was making playful kitty sounds, finding an interest in playing with everything, even if it didn’t move.

When he was satisfied fooling around, a scent caught his nose and the hunt was on as soon as he thought “Deer”

He walked slowly along a low hanging branch, two deers were just a few meters ahead grassing, they had no idea Theo was on the hunt for one of them. The only thing standing between him and them was what looked to be a slow running creek which didn’t seem too deep. A branch up ahead stood out, he could make it over, even though the branch didn’t look like the best choice.

Theo was too high on adrenaline and the game of the hunt, to make any real noticed how bad state that branch really was, or if he had just taken a closer look to see the undertow beneath the water mirror. Maybe then he wouldn’t had jumped.

The branch was toughly rotten a snapped as soon one paw touched. Theo even with his cat abilities, he couldn’t avoid falling in the creek and as he hit the water the undertow had him.

It was way deeper than he excepted, Theo couldn’t grab hold on anything, not even with is claws all out, trying desperate to get his head back above water.

He didn’t know how long he had been under, he needed air, but didn’t know which way was up.

His tiger was no help to him distressed as it was, so he shifted only to nearly lose consciousness as a rock hit the back of his head and the last air left him. Theo’s lungs burned, the body tried getting oxygen, but it only resulted in him swallowing in water.

'God, was this really it, why the fuck did it have to be drowning?'

Erol watched the man enter the cottage and waded in the water for a bit. He wasn't sure the other would emerge again this day. He simply hoped. As he was about to give up and head back to the depths, he saw a flash of movement and watched as the man emerged, stripping. Now he knew humans were very strange creatures and as he thought this, the man seemed to shift into another creature. He stared in awe as the four legged creature ran and played.

It was very intriguing the way the creature played as though he were a child. Surely this man was no mere infant in his species.

Watching closely, Erol went around the bend to the small creek and waded up through it, staying hidden beneath the waters. He feared he had been caught when the feline suddenly stood at attention, but he then heard the crackle of twigs being stepped on and looked to see deer grazing.

Sighing, the merman returned to watcHong the furry creature. When his gaze fell on the creature again, he caught sight of the branch breaking and the feline plunging toward the water. Out of desperate attempt, Erol dove for the depths and hid in the shadows. He had never seen a land creature enter the waters before. Surely this man was a danger to his kind. He would need to observe more and warn his people.

As he contemplated leaving then, he noticed the other's struggle in the current and harsh crack on a rock. Frowning, the merman watched a moment to be sure the other would not be too aware of his presence and swam forward to heave the giant creature toward the shore.

His eyes raked overy the man's current form and he reached out to touch the silken fur. It was soft to the touch and it surprised Erol. Fascinating him, the shark pulled himself ashore to lean over the creature and examine his features. He was a splendid creature indeed. It was almost as though he could not swim. But surely no creature was foolish enough to dive in to treacherous waters without the ability to swim in it.

Poking the beast's cheek, Erol leaned closer and sniffed the feline. "Smells strange."

Theo was in and out of consciousness, he knew there would be no going back from this. His head hurt and he could find the strength to move or even open his eyes when something started pulling in him.

Surely that would be his mind imagine things.

As his head broke the surface his mouth open for air, but he instead he was throwing up water and lost conscious yet again.

The next time he woke, he was breathing, body laying in shallow water, but breathing. He didn’t feel cold since the water was warm, but his body still shook as the fear again past though him.

That’s when he started feeling something touching his fur, it felt like hands examine him, but he couldn’t tell if there really was someone touching him or if he imagined it. He also didn’t know if liked the touch or not. He had never had anyone petting him in his other form before, but the cat in him purred in his head.

Only when someone right next to him spoke did he open his eyes, ready to crawl away if he detected any danger.

What he saw made him stunned. A pale face framed with white eyes looked right at him. The guy looked stunning with long silver hair framing gentle around his face and down his shoulders. Was it an angle? Would his head really hurt this bad if he was dead?

Theo didn’t know what to do, he tried to shrunk away from the guy, but the smallest movement send a bolt of pain down his spin and though out his body. He hadn’t broken anything, but he would have to wait a bit for his healing abilities to do its job.

He wanted to shift but didn’t dare to, since he would be too vulnerable.

Erol was fascinated by the creature and was almost lost in his observations when the eyes revealed themselves. He was surprised by the light grey orbs and quickly moved back.

It was bad. He could not allow the other to know his people lived near the island. He heard his brother's words in his head, 'the people of the land eats our kind. They hunt us like mere game and fry us up. Some even eat us raw.'

Swallowing hard, the merman slapped his tail on the ground and pushed further into the water. He ducked down until only his eyes and up were visible.

He should have listened to his family's warnings. He should have stayed away.

Erol chewed on his bottom lip anxieously and watched for the creature's next move.

Definitely not an angle! The alive part he wasn’t sure of yet. Theo’s head was surely the thing messing with him, had he really just seen a shark tail?

He followed the creature with his eyes as it made its escaped into the water, only to stare right at him from there. Theo made no move, he just lay there panting steady while keeping an eye on the guy. He wondered if he was some kind of shifter, Theo knew some shifters could stay I half changed forms, but he had never ever seen it himself.

The distance between him and the weird guy, made feel a bit more at ease. He was hurt and in jaguar form, his cat could easily hurt the guy if feeling threatened and he didn’t want that to happen. Heck the creature properly was the one who saved him from drowning in the first place.

Theo wanted to talk to the guy, but he couldn’t speak in this form and he was in too much pain to change back just yet.

Erol watched the creature a bit longer before slowly wading closer. Surely the man wasn't that injured. Then, the merman barely understood the creature's of the land. The could be more fragile than he thought. He couldn't even consider the water being partly at fault for harming anyone.

He came up enough for the water to just brush his chin and watched the creature cautiously. "Move..."

His voice was slightly shaken out of his anxieousness and he had to cough to clear it. "Get up."

His tail peeked out of the water only to splash back out of view. He was far more fascinated than before. The more he stared into those grey eyes, the more he wanted to know.

The creature was bossy demanding him to jump around like a good little dog, that pissed him off a bit. His tail flick in irritation and uttered a low hiss while moving his big head.

He properly had a small concussion at this point and a bump later tonight.

Theo then shifted to his human form, it hurted like hell and if made want to throw up, even though the shift itself went quick, it wasn’t one of his best ones.

It was no way pleasant to lie bare utterly expose, but he tried playing if off. “I’ll move when I damn well can!” Theo’s voice was annoyed, but not threatening.

Erol jolted at the hiss and ducked down in the water again. His eyes were glued on the creature as he shifted and he had the urge to touch the man. He had been so soft before. The merman wondered what he felt like now.

Hearing the annoyed tone from the other, the shark blushed and turned his eyes down cast. He hadn't meant for his words to sound demanding, only to be sure the other was okay and able to move.

Erol blew in the water and made bubbles float up, a habit from when he was a child being scolded. He flicked his tail and puffed his cheeks. "Of course. I was only wanting to see if you were unharmed."

Theo relaxed at that, knowing that the guy had only cared to check on him made him feel like a jerk.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to snap at you, it just that I hit my head on something and I don’t want to move around too much before it healed a bit” He apologized.

“I just didn’t expect here to be others, so you kind of scared me”

Erol frowned and watched the man carefully as he waded a little closer. He wasn't sure why the other would choose an isolated place where he believes there to be no one. His own people were very independent, but still preferred company to being alone. He raised his head back out of the water and glanced around. "You are not bringing others here?"

The merman wanted to be sure there was no great threat of others appearing as this man had and discover his people. He figured he could defend off the one alone. He was not planning to be anyone's meal tonight or any other for that matter. "There is plenty of food on land. You have no need to seek food from the waters, if it is just you."

Theo didn’t know if he felt comfortable telling a stranger that he hadn’t planned to see anyone for at less the next six months, if all went his way.

“I don’t plan on bringing anyone to stay with me if that what you ask, but I can’t say there properly never would be coming others.”

The guy seemed nerves as he asked his questions, a normal pack member would had asked why. But since he had no business or wanted to get involve Theo didn’t.

“I planned to live of the land yeah, but when going for meat I would complement with those clam and fish, I would be able to caught close to shore. I know there are some deers here, but I wouldn’t want to hunt all of them. I been told that iguanas could be tasty, but I really don’t wanna try those”

“If I may ask, what kind of shifter are you, I never seen anyone like you before, and I have seen a few”

"Fish...?" Erol frowned as he imagine what would fall under said category. He wet his lips and cleared his throat, trying again. "Perhaps just the minnows?"

He sighed and regarded the other's question. A shifter... that at least answered one of his own questions about the other. So, this man was a shifter and seemed to believe he was as well. The merman looked down at his shark tale and blinked. "A shifter? What exactly is a shifter? I have seen humans and animals of the land. Never heard of a shifter."

Erol wasn't sure he liked discussing too deeply about his people, but maybe if he answered questions the other would as well.

“Well as long as it small enough for me to catch by a fishing rod I don’t mind” Theo answered with a shrugging on his shoulder.

His head still hurted, but now it wasn’t as bad as before. Slowly he started sitting upright leaning against a rock with a sigh before he continued on to the next question the guy had asked. It was weird that he didn’t know about shifters, but maybe water creatures were more isolated that those on land.

“A Shifter is a creature with two forms, one is the human form, the other form is either an animal or something none-human. A shifter is something you are born as and you can only transform unto the same form as your parents.

I’m a jaguar shifter, that means I always got two creatures inside me."

Erol waded closer and pulled himself up on the bank. His tail swayed through the water, peeking a finds out now and then. "You are multiple creatures? And there are others like you?"

The shark felt the excitement in his gut rise as he leaned forward on his hands. He wondered if the elders knew of these types of creatures. If so, why didn't they teaCh his people about them?

"It must be exciting. To change yourself as you will it." He blushed and smiled big. He could learn from this man, things he'd only dreamed of. "Can you teach me?"

“Well it is kind of hard to explain, it’s like having control over a wild animal, making your will stronger than it’s to stay in focus and use the energy” Theo held out his hand, to show how he made his nails grow into claw like length. He could change his pupils as well but that was really all he could do and still not shifting form.

“There are all kinds of shifters, birds, bunnies, dolphin you name it”

As the guy got closer Theo couldn’t help but to look at the tail, it really was a shark tail. He wondered if the guy had sharp teeth to boost or if his personality was somewhat shark like, Theo have to keep an eye on that guy and not letting him get to close, he wasn’t here to make friends.

“Teach you?... you mean me? I’m no alfa, I can’t help you transform if you hadn’t already experienced it. Normal one would start feeling a pull at the age of sixteen, if not, then the alfa would start the shifting process” Even if Theo could help, he really didn’t know how he could ever teach him. He had never been able to really make people understand him anyway.

"Oh oh! No, not to shift. I.. my people can't do that. We are simply merfolk." Erol shook his head and looked out to the ocean, watching the water lap at the distant rocks jutting out. He sighed and shifted his weight. "I want to learn about the land. No one out there knows much about the land and the creatures that walk on it."

He splashed a bit of water up to keep himself hydrated and dropped his chin in his hand, leaning on his elbow. He started to wish he was a shifter. To be able to explore the land himself... "Teach me about your people."

All Theo ever wanted was to go somewhere to be isolated from others, now he realized that it would properly never happen.

"I'm not really sure if I can teach you anything if I'm gonna be honest. I could tell you somethings, but I'm not a good example. I owe you from saving me, but I mostly just wants to be left alone"

He looked away from the guy and down his body. Being a shifter he was use to be naked around others, but it had been around other shifters. Being around a unknow none shifter it felt weird, and he tried to cover himself.

"Oh..." Erol frowned as he brushed his hair behind his ear. He felt his excitement drain and sighed. It was probably best this way, but he knew it was a chance he may never get back. "I understand. I'm sorry for intruding."

The merman looked up at the other and smiled. The other's state of attire was no concern seeing as his pepole did not cover themselves. Though he was curious about the form before him. He had never seen a human body before.

Theo sigh, he hated disappointing people and to see the smile turn around, but he was about used to that feeling from years living in a pack. "No it not like that, I'm properly the one who is intruding since you was here first, it just a personally issue"

When the mer's smiling face looked back at him, it send a shiver down his spine. He wasn't used to be studied, even though he could understand the others interest, since he had no knowledge. But still... he was utterly naked.

Okay Theo made had studied the guy as well himself, he fascinated by the long silver hair, it looked soft and smooth as it glisten in the rays of sunshine that shined between the leaves.

"Mmm... would you mind not looking that intense at me... it kind of embarrassing" Theo said not looking the guy in the eyes. he really wished he had at least some pants, at this moment.

The other man's reaction made him feel embarrassed. He couldn't understand what could be embarrassing in their situation, but he quickly looked away. Maybe there was a reason they didn't know of each other. He could even admit to some unknown attraction with the other. Attraction that was clearly forbidden. How could a man of the land ever be with a man of the waters? Even a fleeting fancy would be impossible.

He looked at the other out of the corner of his eye and blushed deeper. Then again, he appreciated very few sights. Perhaps his calling was to explore this other world thoroughly. "Do you believe you could tolerate my presence a little more?"

The merman looked adorable with a blush on his face, the way the guy acted made him thing that he might be younger than Theo.

"Sure, but could I go back to get my pants first?" he didn't need them cause he started feeling cold, but to have is dick and balls covered would make him feel less uncomfortable.

Theo got on his feet a bit wobbly, it was hard when he at the same time had to place himself so the guy wouldn't get a clear view of his crotch. His head was still hurting, but he was mostly healed by now for it not to make it affect him.

Erol tilted his head to the side and blinked. What was the other fussing over? He didn't understand what the other was asking, but smiled and nodded anyway. "Okay... but you have to come back. I don't want to be waiting all day. I still have to hunt for dinner."

The merman took that moment to draw in the sand with his finger. He wished in a moment like b this, he had two legs to wobble on with the other. The idea of being able tI shift and have those two legs was nice. He started to hum softly and smiled, the tune was a soft melody he had picked up from an old jewelry box he found as a young child.
