Post’s Author Opinion:
Note: This is a personal opinion, it does not reflect YaoiOtaku’s official position towards the manga.

I liked this manga a lot more than I was expecting. The cover and the title alone were interesting enough for me to want to check it out, but it was better than I thought it would be. The artwork is really nice, and clean. Thanatos (a shinigami) observes a human who is in a word, a dope. Heh. But that is one of the things that has interested and entertained him as he watched him, until he is required to reap his soul.

This is also one of the things that really makes the story really fun, cute and entertaining. Asahi manages to completely throw Thanatos off his game and throws him into the realm of both hating him and feeling attracted to him. For the most of the story it’s a lot of ridiculous and rather adorable moments as Thanatos tries to complete his mission of collecting Asahi’s soul. The development of Thanatos’ character is really sweet and while amusing is also rather sad, but then ends with a nice ending.

The second story is a bit more smutty, and while the two characters obviously have a relationship, but there isn’t much of a back story on the two. This is more of a PWP, with a silly so called plot as the Seme is jealous and thinks his lover his cheating on him. It’s not nearly as good as the first story, but it’s a good and entertaining story that focuses more on the sex.

The third story I feel is almost as good if not just as good as the first one since it deals with the relationship with a detective and a young man who works at a brothel. The story doesn’t involve a lot of sex but you hardly notice it since the conversations and the relationship that develops between the two characters is what makes the story more intriguing.

The manga is not one of those unique ones that leaves a lasting impression on you, but it is one that I enjoy reading over again when I come across it.  It’s a solid fun read, it’s enjoyable and there’s something that would appeal to quite a few readers. I enjoy it because it’s a good balance of fun, smut, and emotion without being overly heavy on it, plus the artwork is appealing and fluid.
