Hello everyone, thank you for participating in the challenge last year, in 2018! We learned a lot through our statistical observation and we adjusted some things for this year’s challenge, do make sure to check the changes and if you ever feel confused – you can always ask your questions in the FAQ thread, open for any discussion. This year’s challenge will be divided in tiers, this is the most important concept you have to remember. What do we mean by ‘tier system’? Well, this means that everyone, regardless of the tier level they choose, will get rewarded. We noticed that many people finished half of the tasks, but due to lack of time – they couldn’t qualify for rewards. This is something we think is unfair. Per se, the total amount of titles you have to read is 40 – but you finished 20-30 titles, according to the old system: you do not qualify for a reward. We did not like that, because you basically gave your time but for whatever reason, you could not finish the challenge. So, the tier system will approach that issue. Think of it as ‘leveling up’ in a game. Each level shall grant you a certain amount of points/rewards. The more you level up, the more rewards you get. TIER LEVELS: Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. RULES No repetition of titles within your title lists. On each task you have, please, do provide a quote from the title itself. Something you liked the best. The turn-in forms will be accepted only from 1st of July. No limitation when it comes to ‘how many titles per day’ to read. The sign-up forms should follow the pattern listed below, and posted in this thread. The turn-in forms should be posted in this very same thread once the accepting period is open. You can start from any task number, but when you submit your turn-in form, make sure you did not miss a title in any of your tier levels. You can sign-up for both categories – manga and novel. There is no deadline for signing up. You can enlist unfinished titles or ongoing titles, but make sure you do not abuse that freedom (e.g. enlisting only one-chapter titles, in order to finish all lists -> this will be considered abusing of freedom.) Do not read stories you already have read, unless you have no other choice. Please, do not ask for every single title if it fits or not. When you submit your turn-in forms, they will be evaluated then. You don’t have to read the titles in English. If you use another language, it’s fine. Please, use the ‘notes’ option on your profile to build up your lists. REWARDS Manga levels: Tier level one: 1500 points. Tier levels one to two: 4000 points. Tier levels one to three: 5500 points. Tier levels one to four: 6000 points. All tier levels: 10,000 points + Non-buyable card + the rank ‘Mantaku’. Novel levels: Tier level one: 2500 points. Tier levels one to two: 4000 points. Tier levels on to three: 6000 points. All tier levels: 10,000 points + Non-buyable card + the rank ‘Shoutaku’. Additional tier levels: One title: 500 points. Two titles: 1000 points. Three titles: 1500 points. Four titles: 2000 points. Manga and Novel levels: Manga tier level one + Novel tier level one: 4000 points Manga tier level one to two + Novel tier level one to two: 8000 points. Manga tier level one to three + Novel tier level one to three: 11,500 points. Manga tier level one to four + All novel tier levels: 16,000 points. All manga tier levels + all novel tier levels: 20,000 points + Non-buyable card + the rank ‘THE READER’.
