I was wondering though, how cold is winter in China? Well, I did not understand a word, but the scene before the bed scene made me wondering...

 

The ex b*tch calls (even her voice is so annoying I had to fast forward it because I could not listen to it anymore) and well BLY seems to be shaken while and after the conversation. Then he grabs GH, puts him on the bed and climbs on top of him. But it all looks like BLY is just looking for comfort after his ex bf was emotionally harassing him on the phone and he just wants to get the whole thing out of his system and it is less about being with GH. Maybe it sounds cruel and it is just me who has this feeling about it, but I expected this scene to be different... I also didn't read the novel so I don't know what went through BLY's head and what does he really feel at that very moment. Any thoughts?

Btw the music in ep 15 was amazing. The scene where louyin finishes a call with his annoying ex gf and then goes to find his true bae, and carries his drunk ass to bed ... The song lyrics matched so well.

Gosh, this series is just so special and it's like the stars aligned with the writing, quality of production, the actors and THEIR CRAZY CHEMISTRY. There's a reason why it's captured so many heart and I feel so privileged to have watched these two beautiful characters grow in love and appreciation towards each other.

 

Even without all the skinship scenes, it's still so wonderful to watch them because their love is built on friendship, caring and emotional intimacy.

 

I haven't been so addicted to a show in sooooooooo long and I consistently watch kdramas, jdramas, cdramas etc. It's very dear to my heart honestly and so are our two sweethearts. I've fallen head over heels in love like that wasn't obvious already ha. I'm also addicted to Johnny and Weizhou in particular and hope they become very successful as actors. This is their unexpected big break that many actors pray and hope for, honestly!

Thank you so much for this. Partly that was I was thinking. BLY never indicated a touch and even though they are sort of in a relationship he still pushes GH away most of the time, but then suddenly out of nowhere when the ex calls he climbs on top of GH and kiss the hell out of him(and he doesn't stop there)? First it did not make sense, that's why I thought he is totally out of himself... and my other guess was that maybe this was the first time he compared SH and GH. SH says on the phone that she is missing him on Xmax Eve and wants to be with him and when he hangs up the phone on her and sees GH sleeping on the couch, he realises he is exactly there where he wants to be, with the right person and then without realizing he acts out controlled by his feelings... even though in his head there's a mess, but he still can't stop his actions, can't stop his feelings. Okay, I am going to stop over analyzing it now

 

So I am happy he tells SH later that he has someone he likes.

 

And thanks for the 'stairs-info' as well. That's why I'd like to read the novel one day, these little details are so sweet and you understand the characters more. I am really hoping that there will be S2. On their official YT website they state it is in progress and we should look out for updates. Won't give up hope!

I KNOW!!! Exactly what I'm thinking when I look at it... and I tell you, I can't get enought of it even now xDD. And you can also see Zhou's pulling Johnny against him just before he lift his head for another kiss....aaaaaaaaaa...and the way they're touching each other....aaaaaaaaaaaaa.

And Yep! It was toally ad-libbed. At first Chai Jidan didn't plan any kiss in this scene but they ad-libbed it. They said in an interview they were just following the feeling there

I totally know what you mean because I watch often kdrama, jdrama and cdrama too. And I must admit there haven't been many shows who got me really hooked, only a few, but ADDICTED is definitely the first that got me so obsessed... I just love EVERYTHING about this show.

All the team members put their efforts into making this show something great and we all can see they've done very well. They deserve great success. And it's why it's even more frustrating to have to put up with all this administration shit....

Its frustrating and annoying with shows like this are half way through, based on novels and you dont know if they will continue.

 

We have Counter Attack, Like Love and now Addicted all with novels and even they are only partially translated (not complaining but a huge thank you to the translators that did so far). But it would be good to have the whole book in english to be able to read them through instead of will they or wont they release another season.

 

I understand the beaurocracy in country but it still leaves the fans wondering. Even if they do a season 2 or addicted since the exgirlfriend is on the scene most of season 2 Gu Hai will be either depressed or in the dog house (in trouble or ignored).

 

I would be good if shows were like love sick, yes younger audience and poorer acting but at least the series was completed, even if it was because its Taiwanese. The risk of another country making or continuing Addicted is that it looses something.

 

I dont know its just frustrating in mid air when you get to like these shows and they stop and you dont know if they will continue. Its the reason i stopped watching american dramas in australia, they would start to air a show and you start to like it, when you google the show you find out its been axed, and its like why have we just picked up a season then and why am i investing my time in watching it.

 

They are awesome shows i hope we do get to end eventually, in the meantime i am going to have to hunt and see if there are other awesome shows out there.

after received phone call from SH, BLY was a bit emotional so he stayed at balcony for quite some time to calm himself. after returning to the living room, he saw GH who was drunk, slept on the sofa. BLY watched GH quietly & examined him while GH was sleeping. he pondered how contrast his demeanor is, simple yet complicated.

 

BLY realized he is a sentimentalist. although sometimes he felt like killing GH, but tonight he really want to love him tenderly. after long time watching GH sleeping, he then brought GH to the bedroom, gently put him on the bed & removed his shoes. BLY then examined GH's face. eyes closed, short but thick eyelashes, high nose, solid face & thin though lips. all this made his heart quivered & suddenly he felt the urge to kiss him.

 

BLY then kissed the sleeping GH, not even understood why he felt like this, he felt like his heart was in turmoil. BLY pried open GH's lips & smelled strong whiff of alcohol. he instantly feeling excited, insert his tongue in & began ravaging GH's mouth.

 

Suddenly GH woke up & strangled BLY's neck. but BLY didn't stop, just straightly stared at GH without any shame. BLY then tore GH's shirt roughly, pulled GH's belt & lowered the pants like a hungry wolf.

 

GH's eyes filled with passionate flame, feeling BLY's hand on him made him extremely excited. he pulled BLY under his body, then violently separated his legs. BLY tried to move his body, but completely pressured by GH’s chest.

“Why not?” GH could feel BLY now was somehow unusual, he could feel BLY’s uneasiness.

“Da hai….. Da hai..…” BLY suddenly cried out, his voice mixed with pleading tone, which GH had never been heard before.

BLY just kept motionless, lying there like a dead fish. GH then whispered in his ear “Honey, it might be a bit uncomfortable, so you need to endure”. GH then put his p***s between BLY’s legs. The intense frictions made every nerve in BLY’s body burned. He felt utterly humiliated & tried to loosen himself, but GH held him tightly so he can only bite his lips & endured.

Summarizing some funny/interesting info from this interview with CJD:

- the story was based off of one of CJD's high school classmates, but she made big changes to story/characters/etc.

- they invested about 5 million RMB for the first season, over half was from CJD

- staff members were mostly straight men in their mid-30's who had never worked with this kind of topic before, but they thought the bed scenes were funny lol

- at first CJD chose Zhouzhou to take the role of Gu Hai because she saw a photo of him with his shirt off online. (At that time, there were no actors for the roles of BLY and GH). However, once CJD saw Zhouzhou in person, she immediately thought of the words "Bai Luo Yin". Even though Zhouzhou as person is totally different from BLY, the feeling he gave CJD was exactly what CJD wanted for BLY. She decided to keep him half and hour later. Then, for GH, there was still no actor and it was almost time for them to start filming, but they suddenly found a photo of Johnny online and asked him to take the train to Beijing for an interview. At the first glance, CJD thought Johnny was exactly like GH. CJD also asked Zhouzhou to come as well and asked him if he was satisfied with Johnny and he said yes. They started working together the very next day.

- at first Johnny was like a robot (take script, ok, film, that's all), but after a while he started to warm up to his role

- Zhouzhou would often ask CJD if his performance for the bed scenes were ok or not in a joking way

- CJD thought about having Da Shu and Chen Wen play as GH&BLY at first but then thought they were too young and not strong enough for those roles

- because all of the main characters are played by new actors, the supporting actors (parents, teachers, etc) had to be very good actors in order to keep the quality of the show higher. The new actors also were able to learn more things by working together with experienced actors.

-whenever Zhouzhou and Johnny go to CJD's company/go out for events (ex. traveling to other cities for fanmeets), they always sleep together in one bed

 

Oh, and for episode 15: there's a reason why the camera zoomed up on the nail clippers so please remember them for season 2 as they will make an appearance again ahaha. (they're a matching set: one says "a husband who doesn't want to f**k his wife isn't a good husband" and the other one says "get lost!!")
