Twenty minutes later, the car stopped in front of Niran's expensive home. "And you don't have to worry, this all stays between us. But we should really hang out more often, tonight was fun!" Miranda exclaimed, stepping out of the car to let him out of the backseat. She waited for him to make it safely to his doorstep before getting back in and waving as they drove away.

Hatori couldn't hear the commotion outside from his place at the kitchen table, the house phone clutched desperately in his hand as he wished it would ring. It had been hours since he had heard frm Niran, and he was seriously debating calling the agency. He would probably lose his job for this, but finding Niran seemed more important.

Niran doubted that he would want to hang out with Miranda again, it hadn't been too enjoyable... He walked to his door, grimacing when he noticed that his clothes stunk of smoke from the car ride. He sighed and pulled his keys out of his pocket to unlock the door. He kicked the door shut behind himself and slipped his shoes off, not noticing the signs that Hatori was there.

Hatori sat upright when he heard the front door open and close. He immediately rose and rushed to the doorway, a sigh of relief leaving his lips when he saw Niran. The manager moved forward and pulled him into his arms tightly. "Where have you been, Niran? Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere? Why do you smell like smoke? Are you alright?" he asked quickly, his tone sounding concerned instead of angry. He was glad to have Niran back home.

Niran froze when he saw Hatori, he was fully expecting to be scolded and punished so the hug took him by surprise. The star wanted to cling to his manager and tell him everything that was upsetting him, but he immediately remembered hearing about the other manager... He roughly shoved the older man away. "Get off me, you're so clingy" he snapped. "why does it matter where I've been? You don't own me" he walked into his living room. "And why are you in my house?"

Hatori recoiled when he was snapped at, a confused and mildly hurt expression on his face. Was he still upset over some stupid thing that had happened earlier? The man had been searching for him all night, and now he was going to be expected to put up with him acting like this? He sighed deeply and tried to calm his frustration that was threatening to boil over. "Never mind. I was just getting ready to leave." he lied. He did not have the energy to argue with him, and he would rather go home than bother trying to explain his actions of the past few hours. Hatori went silent as he gathered his things to leave.

"why do you even have a key to my house?" Niran muttered, running his fingers through his hair as he wandered to the kitchen. "it's not like you have to babysit me all the time... Or am I not even allowed privacy in my own house?" he searched through his fridge for a moment before pulling all his food out and throwing it in the trash. The star grabbed a bottle of water and chugged that down instead to get rid of the empty feeling in his stomach.

Hatori heard his words, but didn't respond. Without saying anything else, he slipped on his shoes and jacket, leaving the house without even bidding Niran good night. The man stopped for a second when he was inside his car. He felt so frustrated with the young man, but he felt like there was nothing he could do about it. The manager finally decided to swallow down his emotions as he always did. He forced himself to put aside his feelings as he started the car and drove home. When he arrived, he dragged himself up to his room, stripping off his clothes tiredly and collapsing onto his bed. He would have to remember that he needed to pick up a new phone tomorrow.....

Niran went straight to bed after Hatori left. He pressed his face into the pillow and cursed himself for being so stupid. How could the manager have actually fallen for him? How had he been so stupid to believe that? Of course there was nothing really between them... Hatori would just convince Niran to help him get promoted by acting all lovey-dovey... Niran fell asleep feeling angry and depressed.

Hatori woke up the next morning to the sound of his home phone blaring loudly from the other side of the room. He stumbled out of bed to answer it, nearly tripping over his abandoned clothes in the process. When he finally answered the phone, a shrill voice was screaming at him.

"Finally! What the hell Hatori, I've been calling you all morning! You and Niran need to get down to the agency right now. Apparently something happened last night, and the Boss is absolutely pissed. You'd better get here quick if you still want to have a job by the end of the day."

The line clicked when the CEO's assistant hung up the call, and Hatori frowned deeply in worry. Now what was happening? Would he ever get a break? He was still exhausted from last night, but he took a quick shower and got dressed, making himself a cup of coffee as he called Niran to tell him that he was picking him up soon. He didn't give the blonde time to argue or complain before hanging up. If he was being called in by the CEO himself, it was obviously an important matter, and he didn't have the patience to deal with Niran's attitude. He finished his cup of coffee quickly before dashing out the door.

Niran was curled up in bed, he hadn't bothered changing his clothes from the night before and he looked, as well as felt, like a complete wreck. He just grumbled at Hatori's sudden call, not really understanding the severity of the situation. He just pulled the covers over his head and went back to sleep.

When Hatori pulled up to Niran's home, he was very annoyed to find that the young man was not waiting for him as he had asked. He frowned in exasperation as he let himself into the house. Of course, he was still curled up in his bed. "Niran, get up right now. The CEO is calling us to his office, and it doesn't sound like it's on pleasant terms. We need to hurry." he said tensely, nudging Niran awake. He went over to his closet and hastily pulled out an outfit for him to wear, then rushed him towards the bathroom to shower and change.

"you're so bossy..." Niran complained. He still showered and got dressed, but purposefully moved slowly to piss the manager off even more. In the back of his mind he knew that he shouldn't be acting like this, it would be so much better to just talk to Hatori, but honestly he was scared of confronting him... What if Hatori really was just trying to get a promotion?

Hatori's frown only deepened when he realized that Niran was purposefully moving slower than he needed to. He knew that they needed to talk about what was going on between them. But hashing out this argument right before meeting with both of their bosses was not a good idea. It would have to wait until afterwards, so he managed to hold back his anger and annoyance. When Niran was finally ready, he hastily led him back to his car. "I don't know exactly what he's so upset about, but I know that something big happened last night. Just let me do all the talking, Niran." he said sternly, waiting for him to get into the car before driving off.

"you always do all the talking" Niran snapped as he got in the car. His stomach growled loudly but he pretended he didn't hear anything. The fact that he hadn't eaten anything since the previous morning was just making his mood worse. He leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest, he just wanted to sleep and forget all this crap.

Hatori chose to ignore that comment for sake of maintaining the last of his composure. They arrived at the agency almost thirty minutes later because of traffic, and the CEO's assistant escorted them up directly to the right office. Hatori wasn't exactly afraid of the large man, but he did understand that both of their careers rested in his hands. For this reason, he made sure that he was extra courteous when entering and sitting down in one of the chairs in front of the man's desk.

"You wanted to see me, sir?"

"Hatori, could you do me a favor and explain these?"

The manager leaned forward to get a better look at the stack of photos that had been dropped on the desk. The pictures showed Niran with a young woman having colored hair. They seemed to be hugging each other close, and another picture showed them eating together at a restaurant, as if they were on a date.

Before Hatori could even have the chance to answer, the large man was speaking again, his tone not so happy. "These pictures were emailed to us this morning, asking if Niran wanted to submit an official statement about his relationship with Kiranda Starr. A dating scandal, especially with a celebrity with such a bad reputation like her's, is exactly what we don't need right now. What the hell is going on Hatori? How could you let this happen?"

Feeling overwhelmed with all of the information thrown in his face and his current exhaustion, it took Hatori a second to answer. "I'm sorry, sir. Last night, I took Niran with me while I took care of a few matters. We ran into Miranda, who happens to just be a friend of his. She asked if they could catch up over a quick meal, and I didn't want to cause any problems with her, so I agreed. It was a poor decision and I should not have allowed the press to see that. I apologize, sir." He said solemnly. The manager did not dare look over at Niran, lest the CEO find out that he was lying. He was really risking his job by taking the blame for Niran's actions.

Niran's entire body went tense as he saw the pictures, he expected Hatori to say something to blame him and explain how it was all the star's fault. The star suddenly felt horrible for treating the man so badly. It would be much easier for him to have just throw Niran under the bus and taken credit for being able to deal with such a troublesome star... "I-it wasn't Hatori's fault..." Niran said quietly. "I'm sorry, I wandered off and bumped into her and I didn't even think about how it could appear." He bowed deeply. "Please don't blame Haroti for this, he was doing everything he could to prevent this kind of scandal"

Even though he remained silent, Hatori found himself feeling somewhat happy that Niran was telling the truth. He didn't want either of them to get into any more of this mess, but he was still glad that he had shown the maturity to own up to his actions. He still waited uneasily for the CEO's reaction.

The large man stared at the both of them, his annoyance only rising at the fact that they couldn't keep their story straight. Finally, he sighed and shook his head. "I don't even care how it happened at this point. The most important thing is handling the situation right now. In a few hours, the tabloid is going to release this story whether we like it or not. After that, the press is going to turn into a shark tank. They'll be hounding you for comments on it. They'll probably even try to claim that you were with Miranda while you were on your vacation. We need to release a statement, only saying that the rumors are false and there's nothing going on between you two. In the meantime, you need to be seen alone. Make sure you show the press that you are going home alone. Give the impression that you're happy and single. Hatori, you need to go home alone as well so that there will be no suspicions. We are at an important point in your career, and getting involved with such an unfavorable celebrity like Miranda could really ruin you. Do I make myself clear?"

Hatori nodded in understanding, rising from his seat when the commanding man finally dismissed them. A sigh of mild relief left his lips when they were out of his office.

Niran nodded obediently at the man's words. He followed Hatori, his shoulders slumped and his gaze on the floor. The star lightly chewed his lip for a moment before speaking. "I'm sorry Hatori..." he said quietly, barely loud enough for the manager to hear. "I've been a huge brat lately, and I'm sorry..." He didn't know what else to say. He wanted to explain everything and why he had acted that way... But there were too many people around to say anything.

Hatori's footsteps halted at the other's soft voice, and he turned to look at him. He hadn't expected that apology, but he was glad for it. Despite his tiredness, he was able to give a slight smile. "You don't have to say anything right now, it can wait until we get home. Besides, the good thing out of this is that it seems like we get to spend the day off." he muttered, continuing to lead him back to the car. With the CEO being so adamant on Niran being seen returning home, the man would at least get a chance to rest. And with all that had happened last night and this morning, he was in desperate need of it.

Niran slumped down in the seat and stared at his hands. He still felt like such a horrible person. He had risked Hatori's job over his petty fears. "I'm hungry..." He admitted quietly. "and I don't have any food in my house..." It seemed stupid to be bringing up something like this right now, but it was becoming hard for him to think straight from the hunger.

"We can go to my house for a bit and you can eat. Then I'll need to take you home, he was pretty serious about that." Hatori added. Gratefully, the ride home didn't seem long. Once they arrived, the manager immediately went to go change out of his clothes. Afterwards, he returned downstairs to the kitchen to find something to make for Niran.

Niran stood awkwardly in the living room until he saw Hatori's cat. He immediately crouched down and reached out to pet it. "hey... remember me?" He cooed, scratching the cat behind the ears. He looked up when he heard Hatori coming back downstairs and straightened up to follow him to the kitchen. The star want to talk to him more... But he didn't know what to say...

Hatori noticed his quiet following but didn't say anything about it. Niran was only so silent when he was thinking about something. Did he still want to talk? Honestly, they were in desperate need of getting their issues settled. Especially with what was going on right now, they couldn't afford to have anymore conflicts between them. The manager quietly heated up some food from the fridge, then set it down on the table and sat down, looking at him expectantly.

Niran quickly sat down at the table, his stomach growled loudly at the scent of food. "p-please don't watch me eat" he mumbled as he grabbed a fork. He didn't even wait to make sure that the manager wasn't watching before starting to eat. The young star ate without any care for manners. It had been mare than 24 hours since he had eaten a meal and he felt like his body couldn't take this anymore. About halfway through his meal Niran started to cry, he felt pathetic and horrible for treating Hatori so badly and still not even explaining himself.

Hatori rolled his eyes at the blonde's words. He had been staring because he was waiting for Niran to finally talk to him, not to watch him eat. Yawning softly, the manager allowed himself to rest his eyes for a few moments. He froze when he heard a small sound from across the table, and he was surprised to see Niran crying. He immediately went to the blonde's side, wrapping his arms around him gently. He could tell that Niran being upset had reached it's breaking point, so he waited quietly for him to tell him what was wrong.
