[Xianghua]

Kyoko grabbed a large fresh salmon out of the aquarium and began gutting it. "Can you do the salad?" she asked, crinkling her nose from the fish smell.

[Viperscreed]

"Yep." Nuka chimed and he started washing vegetables for the salad.

[Xianghua]

Kyoko looked at Nuka and laughed. "You don't know what his favourite is, do you? Well that's okay--" Yumi entered the room.

 

"It is NOT okay," she said sternly, setting mandarin oranges, apples, grapes, and almonds on the counter. "You have no right to marry Kuro if you can't even cook for him properly."

 

"Now Yumi..." Kyoko said, trying to remain calm.

 

"What?" She said to Kyoko, even though her eyes didn't once leave Nuka. "I can't allow someone like this to be with Kuro. It isn't right, he deserves someone who knows him better than he knows himself, and that someone, is me." She glared at Nuka.

[Viperscreed]

"Well things have just been so hectic, I haven't had a chance to cook, between my family and his friends noone would us alone" Nuka said softly as he started to cut the now clean vegtables. "and he won't let me do anything for him even after the surgery."

Nuka kept his eyes on the metal blade as it cut through the plants. He found it so frustrating that Kuro wouldn't let him do anything cause he wanted to help so badly.

[Xianghua]

Yumi sighed, annoyed. "You just don't know how to be with someone like Kuro."

 

"What's going on?" Kuro entered the room with Haruhi, feeling the tension in the air.

 

Yumi looked at Kuro, then at Nuka. She made a bratty face and went to her room.

 

"Is everything okay, baby?" Kuro asked, walking over to Nuka and caressing his cheek.

[Viperscreed]

"Yeah, we can talk about it later okay?" Nuka said, smiling softly and leaning into Kuro's hand.

[Xianghua]

"O-of course." Kuro smiled and removed his hand.

 

"Nuka, can you add those ingredients Yumi brought to the salad?" Kyoko asked, cleaning the fish.

 

There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Haruhi said, walking to the door.

 

A few moments later she came back with a man about Kuro's height, with an almost scary demeanor about him. "Kuro," he stated.

 

"Ren." The two men looked at each other, not exactly angry, but not thrilled either.

[Viperscreed]

Nuka scurried over to do as he was asked. He glanced at the man who came in but quickly returned to adding the ingrediants to the salad.

[Xianghua]

"So you're getting married," Ren said. His voice was even deeper than Kuro's.

 

"Yep." Kuro said calmly.

 

"I need to talk to you," Ren said.

 

"Then talk to me." Kuro almost sounded annoyed.

 

"Alone." Ren glared at Kuro, as if he has interrupted.

 

Kuro sighed. "Fine." He walked towards Ren and the two left the room, then the house.

[Viperscreed]

Nuka looked to Kyoko.

"Who was that?" Nuka asked, softly.

[Xianghua]

Kyoko sighed. "This can't be good."

 

"I thought Ren moved to Hakkaido?" Haruhi asked.

 

"He did," Kyoko confirmed. "I guess he came over here to see Kuro. I don't know who told him that he was in town though..." She bit her lip. "This is really bad."

[Viperscreed]

"W-who is he?" Nuka asked again, getting very worried.

[Xianghua]

"Don't worry about it." Kyoko smiled sweetly and patted Nuka's head, then quickly went outside.

 

Haruhi sighed. "Ren is... Not Kuro's ex, but... I assume you know of Dregia?" she asked. "Well he's a lot like him. He was friends with Kuro since college, and with all the shit Kuro was going through, Ren was the only one to really offer support. In a way, I am thankful to Ren. Kuro was a heavy drinker, carelessly promiscuous, inflected injuries on himself, he just didn't seem to care about anything. If it wasn't for Ren, Kuro would probably be dead by now. I just wish he would learn to leave Kuro alone now, it's like he expects to get something in return, and I know he really cares about Kuro, but really, he doesn't understand that Kuro doesn't feel the same way about him."

[Viperscreed]

Nuka listened to her intently and felt like he should do something but he wasn't sure what perhaps he should go to Kuro.

[Xianghua]

"It's amazing how many people are obsessed with Kuro," Haruhi laughed. "But I wouldn't worry about it if I was you, that man is absolutely crazy about you." She smiled. "And I'm glad for it. He needs something that matters to him. The last time I saw Kuro was about 2 years ago, and he was an absolute wreck. You must've done something right, because I've never seen him so pleased with life before."

[Viperscreed]

"Thanks." Nuka said looking up at her smiling softly, maybe he was doing something right for once.

[Xianghua]

Kuro stormed through the kitchen.

 

"Kuro wait!" Ren called after him. "Just listen to me!"

 

"I don't want to hear it," Kuro said sternly, throwing his hands up.

 

"You NEED to hear it!" Ren grabbed Kuro's arm and turned him around, looking straight into his eyes.

 

"Who do you think you are?" Kuro asked, laughing.

 

Ren pulled Kuro close and kissed him, right in front of Nuka.

[Viperscreed]

Nuka stared at them shocked, he could feel hot tears well up in his eyes.

[Xianghua]

Kuro struggled to push Ren away. "What the fuck are you doing?!" he yelled, out of breath.

 

"Something we've both been wanting for a very long time," Ren said calmly, pulling Kuro towards him again.

 

Kuro kicked his leg up to kick Ren right in the crotch. "You really are arrogant, you know that?"

 

Kuro grabbed Nuka's hand and pulled him outside.

[Viperscreed]

Nuka used his free hand to wipe his eyes clear of tears or atleast tried to.

[Xianghua]

Kuronpulled Nuka close and held the other's head to his chest. He didn't say anything, just hugged Nuka tighter and tighter.

[Viperscreed]

Nuka hugged Kuro back, burying his face in the other's chest. He knew Kuro wounldn't leave him but it still hurt to see him with someone else like that.

[Xianghua]

"Nuka..." Kuro hugged the other tighter. "You know you are the single most important thing to me, right? I would never try to hurt you like that..." He ran his fingers through Nuka's hand. "Please don't be mad..."

[Viperscreed]

"I'm not mad..." Nuka said with a small sniffle and looked up at Kuro.

[Xianghua]

Kuro gently kissed Nuka. "I'm so sorry I let that happen..."
