Sunfish Can Fly

 

A rock, some string, and a heartfelt word

Those are the things someones life is worth

 

She sings a gentle tune to him in a tempered voice

He sits on her soft papoose wrapped as tight as a noose

They walked across the line to Sailors choice

She whispered two final spruced up words and let the cloth unloose

 

He sinks with spacious orbs, watching all the fish perform

Sunfish fly above his eyes, their flat fins up against the sky

Their quiet moves cut through the dull of uniform

He tried to scream or cry or pray but what came out was his war cry

 

He tries to breathe in his new worlds air

But it seemed like the Sunfish didn't want to share

With a soft blare in the back of his mind he sleeps elsewhere

and wow, voide, really, wow, this little poem just broke my heart *breathes hard* really really something special. I don't know what it is about such simple words, and yet they hurt so much & it's really so beautiful & painful & vivid and just wow. honestly, don't know what to say, because I didn't expect like 20 words to do that to me. combined with the music - simply perfect

Nameless dream

 

The darkness that has taken it all,

where am I going to come?

The beginning, as if it can’t be seen around,

a name, that was shouted through the dark.

 

I hear a familiar voice coming closer,

one step back, yet I fell down.

Shivers going down my spine,

I see, yet I don’t at all.

 

A whisper through my ear,

”I breathe” it said and disappeared,

as if it was all in my head,

a dream, a miracle, something untouchable at all.

 

I saw a figure in the dark,

a woman smiling and waving her hand.

Yet I blink and she is no longer there,

only the feeling that there was anybody,

remaining and slowly fading back.

Flowing...flowing...

Tears on his face.

Resisting... Resisting...

He wants to escape.

But it's useless.

It's useless.

 

Flowing... flowing...

Blood on the sheets.

Thrusting...thrusting...

There is white liquid.

Feels good.

It's good.

 

Running... Running...

He escapes. No he can't!

Chasing... Chasing...

I catched him.

Good.

 

Stabbing... Stabbing...

Now he doesn't breathe.

Flowing... flowing...

Vision is blurring.

We will be together.

Forever.

As the seasons pass us by

under the moonlight glow,

our lives are intertwined

with shared moments of our past.

 

We pass by on the street

among us a sea of people.

Can you sense I’m near?

Can you hear my call?

 

The music sounds all around us

with our arms in the air

jumping up and down

dancing all night long.

 

The time may come when we might part

don't fret, just breathe

that day is not today

and it won’t be a goodbye.
