"I'm just kidding, it isn't that unusual," Alicio offered the bread with cheese. "It's delicious, would you like to try?" Since Sega had avoided the question about his score it made him wonder how far down the score must have gone. He wasn't going to keep asking because that might make him seem too pushy.

Sega leaned in and took a small bite of the bread. "That tastes really good," he sounded a bit surprised. Sega was use to just having butter on his bread so it was interesting to find something like spreadable cheese that actually didn't taste like a can or something. "Thank you," he stated before going back to his own bread. "I'm use to just butter as a top."

[Kotorichan]

"Alight, whichever you prefer" Alicio sighed softly and watched Sega eat. He wanted to pull the man into his arms and kiss him all over. Even though he didn't show it the pheromones were really getting to him. Everything about Sega was just so attractive. Alicio couldn't help but feel a sense of jealously rising up in his chest as he thought about the beta that had talked to him earlier. Had that beta been satisfying Sega's sexual needs for the past week?

As Sega was eating, he couldn't help but to look over a bit concerned when he saw the thoughtful look on Alicio's face now. "Looks like your head is just as far in the clouds as mine was," He teased but didn't press farther because it just wouldn't have been fair otherwise. Sega hadn't told what was on his mind so why should Alicio? The omega did feel like there were quite a few people watching him now.

Alicio blinked and sat up a little straighter. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to space out like that" He gave a slight smile. "It's just..." He blushed softly and looked away. "It's just that I really haven't felt this way about anyone before... I'm a bit nervous about doing something to make a fool of myself"

"I... uh feel the same.... Looks like both of us just want to get things right..." Sega said looking down and blushing. Why did he have to go and say something so cheesy? Oh well, it was out there now. Still... Sega shook his head trying not to think about it too much. "I'm really thankful you brought me here," the omega said smiling.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio looked at him with a slight smile. "Besides... Even if I'm good at controlling myself I'm still an alpha. So a lot of my concentration is spent on remaining civilized. Unlike some others" He shot an annoyed glance at the people staring at Sega. "But that means I'm more likely to say something wrong"

"Oh, I'm sorry... I should have listened to my friend Taka and not come out today... sorry if my pheromones are too strong right now... I try to keep them under control but the drugs don't work right.........." Sega froze. Shit, that was suppose to be kept a secret... there he goes blurting stuff out.... was he drunk or something already?! The omega shook his head feeling really stupid. Now he just wanted to run away.

[Kotorichan]

"Ah, I've heard that that's a problem for some omegas... I think my sister has a friend from-" Alicio stopped himself. "Has a friend who suffers from a similar problem." He put on a sweet smile, his cheeks going pink. "It's alright, I mean... If we ended up getting married, I would want to be able to control myself no matter what."

"R-really? It's an extremely rare thing that I thought only my family had.... My mom and my grandmother had it... it gets passed down from one generation to the next..." It made Sega feel so much better to hear that he wasn't alone and to find that Alicio didn't mind talking about these things. He seemed to really understand the Omega... Maybe he should rethink the score.... Later. "I get it... I guess I'm doing well to help you learn control then?"

"Well..." Alicio hesitated. "My sister is actually in a support group for omegas with rare issues. So she knows a lot of others who have those sorts of problems" He sighed softly. "It makes me very grateful that I wasn't born an omega... It sounds terrible" He looked up at Sega again and smiled. "That's why I think you omegas are really amazing... You have so much more to deal with in life but you still keep going..." He laughed softly. "Sorry, that got a bit deep. But yes you are helping me get better at self control"

"Thank you so much." Well now, Sega never expected this... an Alpha sympathizing with an Omega and actually agreeing that the Omegas had a harder life, not that was something extraordinary. "It's ok with me if you go kind of deep, I actually like that sort of thing. It's nice when an Alpha can get in touch with his sensitive side and not just pridefully brush this stuff off as something for the weak to deal with.

"Oh, I know about those sorts of alphas very well" Alicio sighed and shook his head. "They made middleschool hell for me. Apparently being somewhat emotional make me a 'fake alpha'" He took another piece of bread. "They seem to think that all omegas just want a big aggressive alpha... Which would make sense if we were all animals and alphas were expected to fight each other for territory of that sort of thing... But we aren't wild beasts anymore, so why would we act like that?"

"In all fairness, I myself know a couple Omegas that want to see a many Alphas fight over them as they can before finally choosing and settling down. Some only want the strongest of the strong... That's one perk as an Omega... we get to choose the best of the alphas... sometimes... we don't like being forced down but we can't stand up to Alphas and their physical strength... they even have higher education expectations than we do.... That's part of why I just want to be a house wife and not worry about these things anymore." Sega felt strongly about this.

[Kotorichan]

Alicio nodded slightly. "I just think that would be dangerous... If you know that an alpha is physically stronger and more aggressive then marrying that person would put you in a bad situation... I can understand wanting alphas to compete for your affections, but if they were physically fighting for you then... who knows what they're really like" He finished his bread. "Maybe I'm just biased because I'm probably not good enough to win in a one on one fist fight." He laughed softly. "That doesn't mean I can't defend myself in a bad situation of course."

"Well I can only guess that being able to protect is part of it. Personally, I want a mate that I know can stand up against and protect the family from harm. That's part of the reason why I think having an older, stronger male is ideal... I can't have one that will let the family die..." That might have been a poke towards Alicio but Sega didn't mean it to be. He was just trying to explain what he liked. 'as much as I want to keep his score high... he did kind of blow it there so now he is at a 94,' Sega thought to himself.

[Kotorichan]

"That's perfectly understandable. I just think that my training wouldn't translate to a fistfight as well as self defense." Alicio sipped his wine. "All my siblings and I were trained in aikido. Which is good if you're being robbed at gunpoint, but not if you're just expected to keep punching your opponent in the face until he gives up... I don't know if that makes any sense, I guess I'm just trying to say that those sorts of fights are more for show and wouldn't help in an actually dangerous situation" He looked over at Sega. "I could never forgive myself if my spouse or children were hurt because of my pride..."

"I get it," Sega could understand but now he was settled on a score. Finally, the food ended up coming and Sega kept the conversations much lighter now and just moved on keeping quiet. He ate and enjoyed his soup and slowly sipped at his wine until there was nothing left. Sega changed to water after the first glass just to be on the safe side. He made sure to ask what Alicio's favorite color and type of music was just trying to keep away from any more heavy topics, at least for now.

Alicio stayed light and friendly, but behind the smiles he was watching Sega's every movement like a hawk. If things weren't going to go smoothly with Sega then he would need to take him by force before some other alpha snatched him up. If another alpha got involved then it would make things much more complicated.

'Maybe I could take my time with this one... with his lack of strength, most Omegas would probably turn away...' Sega thought to himself as he finished up his meal and the last of his glass of water. "Thank you very much for the meal. I really hope we can send more time together soon," Sega said as though as soon as dinner was over so was their date and time together.

Alicio frowned slightly at the man's words. "Don't you want a ride home...? If you don't feel comfortable with me knowing where you live then I could just drop you off nearby?" This wasn't good, it was becoming more and more likely that he would need to take Sega by force... Or at least he would need to use some underhanded methods. If Sega didn't think Alicio would be able to protect him then Alicio would have to make a situation where he could protect the omega.

"Actually, it is a personal policy of mine to walk off dinner because I like to. Besides, it's a nice night and there are some things I should get at the store before I head home. How about I text you and you can come to my house next week for a home cooked meal. Does that sound alright to you?" Sega asked. The Omega wanted to leave this date here.

[Kotorichan]

"That would be lovely." Alicio paid for the meal, not showing Sega the bill so that he wouldn't know just how expensive the wine had been. "You'll have to call me since I don't have your number..." He looked over to the man. "Oh, and I hope you don't mind if I keep coming to the cafe you work at. I won't bother you, I've just become awfully fond of the place"

"Sure, we appreciate when customers keep coming back, and besides, the wait staff really likes you. I don't know what you said or did last week but you seem to be on good terms with all of them." It was extremely important to Sega that his friends and those close to him also liked his mate. Why would he want to give up his friends for a mate that would probably suck anyway? The omega hadn't even thought about the bill though he probably should have.

"I didn't do anything special" Alicio stood up and offered Sega a hand. "I hope you'll at least let me escort you to the front door?" He was glad that Sega had noticed that the other staff liked him, otherwise all that hard work he put into winning them over would have been useless.
