Past: 350 years ago, he had serve under a master that accidentally summoned him during a battle. This master was a humble man loved by everyone. Though he was powerful, he didn't abuse it, even treated Hikaru as his brother. Well, Hikaru loved the man, not as a brother but something else. And on the day of this man's death, Hikaru seemed to stop living as well, forever wandering the human world. He didn't want to return to the land of the youkai's , simply because he didn't want to be summoned again, and served another master. ___________________________________________________________________________________ "Hikaru sensei, we are going to be late at the autograph signing.. Please hurry!" Riki, Hikaru's editor drag him inside the car and order the driver to step on it. "You're making a big deal out this Riki," Hikaru said boredly as he looked outside the car window,he wasn't interested in participating in this event, but he was force to. Being a popular novelist of the paranormal and Japanese folklore genre, Hikaru was being sought after, either by crazed fans, or TV shows that wants an interview or producer who wants to make his novels into movies or television series. As they stepped outside the heavily tinted car, the loud screaming fans that lined at the bookstore boomed at Hikaru's ears. He faked a smiled and waved at them , and sat at his chair. MisuChan Posted April 17, 2014 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Aki woke up early and read in the news paper that the Hirkaru was signing books today. he grabbed the book his late grandfather gave him and rushed to the door to walk out then noticed he was still in his underwear. he rushed back to his room and got dressed then rushed out to go to the book store he arrived alill out of breath since he wasnt good at sports and saw all the fans he signed and lined up and waited patient for his turn alill nervous of what will happen and if he would talk talk to Aki. he only had one in front of him still after about an hour and a half of waiting he pulled his book out to be ready not to sure what to say just yet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The girl in front of him already had the camera at her hands, ready in the moment he said yes to her request. Riki butted in and gently refuse. Its one of the strict conditions Hikaru layed at them. No intruding in his personal life, no public photo, no questioning about where do he come up with his stories. He looked at the thinning line, it'snow 2hours since they started,an hour left till all these is over, and hecan go back to his home. Work on his new series, and then have a drink, like he always do every night, for the past 300 years. "Ah. This life is so boring.." he mutter under his breath. "Excuse me?" Another dazed girl walk upto him and hand the book for him to sign. "Nothing dear, what name shall i write?" He smiled at her, making her swoon "Ahm,. Anna will be fine." She said... This man was clutching the book so closely to him. "Tch!" He cannot help but clicked his tongue as he see how dorky this man,"is he a descendant?" He asked himself. "Hikaru, what's this emergency about, the signing was anticipated by everyone, this may cause you some good readers to stop supporting you." Riki said while being busy firing emails through his cellphone and pc tablet. "Look, this has already made its way to the news. Oi, this is bad.." Riki's hands were trembling. He was sitting in the front seat, babbling something to Hikaru. But right now, Hikaru doesnt care about all of these. He looked at the driver and said. "Pull over here, you two get out. I'll drive myself home." The two was shocked first and then do as Hikaru said. They knew the man for 3 years, so clearly, getting on his bad side won't help. "I suppose he would, i practically force him to come with me." He said thought. As he heard the young man's explanation on how he got the old moldy book, alot of questions was answered in his mind. "Ah, so he is probably a descendant of that man," he took a peek at him again, but kept his silence. "uh..im sorry i shouldnt have asked its non of my business" "We are driving to my house, just a few minutes away. I will explain it to you later." He said in a soften tone. -- They arrived at traditional japanese home, secluded in a mass of few feets of shruberry and tall trees. The road leading the house was rough, so its understantable why Hikaru's car had a big wheels. Its obvious he wanted no part of the outiside busy world. He removed the seatbelt from the boy and got out of his seat as well. "Come on in" he said and he leave the door open. The inside was pretty messy. Full of research materials, papers, oldbooks, cigarette butts, beer cans.. it was chaos. "Sit wherever you like." He said, as he removed his jacket and toss it at the pile of clothes at the corner.. Hikaru sat himself in a zabuton and light a cigarette. *inhale exhale* "Ah so you see brat, 350 years ago.. your greatgrand father summoned me from beyond the yonder... and i served as his youkai. Your ancestors.. were ancient summoners." He took a drag at the smoke and exhale, "That book contains numbers of ways to sumon a youkai to work for you if you can bind them a contract. Your great grand father.." He pause to look at the boy. "He looks exactly like you by the way... summoned me in a battle. That book was stolen from their home, and since they cannot allow it to be in the hands of the enemies, because it might cause catastropic calamities to human kind, he was force to summon one.. and well that is me.." he said as he press that cigarette at the ashtray. Hikaru stood up and look at the boy, he doesnt look like he can protect himself, and somehow, he is feeling strangely attached to him. "Is it because he looks lie master?" He asked himself. "Boy, what is your name again? And.. i don't think you have the capability to protect that book. As a thank you for your great grandfather's kindness to me, ypu can stay here and i will teach you all you need to know..for a price that is.."he said as he walked through the kitchen to gets some drinks, leaving the kid behind him. "There he is again, acting really naive,i just said i am a Youkai and he already agreed."he thought. "Well even if book is a bunch of gibberish, the fact will remain that it's dangerous. So keeping it within a safe place is the best. And burning it or destroying it, but.. do you have the guts and the heart to do it?"he ask. When Aki ask him what price, he held the two glass and poured sake for the both of them. "Are you old enough to drink?" He ask but doesnt really care if he is. "Well, this house is a mess, i need an assistant. Simply put, you will help me in my everyday needs, i'll pay you, feed you meals and let you stay here." He downed his sake and poured a new one. He just brush off the question and drink the cup that Aki refuse to. Adding salt to his wounds, another questioned followed. .....are you alone? He knew very well that if he didn't answer Aki, then there's a chance he won't live here. So he decided to answer truthfully this time. Lighting a cigarette, he said "I lived alone the realms of humans for nearly 348 years. In this house, probably 120 years.." he blew a smoke and walk back to his room. But before hecompletely banish from Aki's sight he said, "You can leave the book here if you don't want to live here. I'll keep it safe for you, and....have a good life Aki-kun." MisuChan Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Aki stared at Hikaru as he realized he dodged the question of what kind of youkai he was but let it slide for now. his eyes fallowed Hikaru leave and just stood there in the kitchen not sure if he should live here or leave the book or neither. he kept running the options trough his head. after about 10 minutes he put the book away and went in search of Hikaru "um...Hikaru-san~" he called out a few times as he walked trough the halls he gave up shortly after not wanting to be a nausanse he put his shoes back on and walked outside not sure how to get home. he walked off the property and looked down the streets he signed and just walked till he would see a familiar point. since he left the house he felt uneasy but he kept shrugging it off as his imagination he finally saw a street he knew and walked to were he knew he would reach his house. he was a few blocks away from his own small apartment he heard footsteps behind him but when he looked the street was empty he got a bad feeling about this Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. He can hear Aki was calling onto him ,but since he decided to let the boy decide for his life and his future, then all he can do is watch over him, after all he just cant leave him alone. As he was standing at his roof, a harsh gush of wind blew his hair and he just crouched as his front door opened. He saw Aki walked slowly and followed him stealthily, jumping from trees to trees. His red eyes, glowed in the shadows. His breathing became ragged. He hasnt use his even a fraction of his abilities for a long time, so he knew that this will take sometime to get use to.. As Aki exits the line of trees, he slowly walked behind him, almost a 100 meters behind, but thats not something hard for him. He can see Aki perfectly, if he wanted to, he can be next to him in an instant.. As Aki was approaching a residential street, he felt something was off. MisuChan Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Aki was thinking of making a dash for it to his house but knew that his body was in bad shape so if what ever was behind him was after him he wouldnt make it. i tryed to think of what he read in the book and if he could rember something that could help him he looked around him carefully not seeing anyone but there was a strange smell he vaguely remembered he smelled it before but couldnt place it. he felt the slightly terrifying feeling get worse he grabed his bag and made a dash for a small ally that was close to him he catched his breath and covered his back to make sure he would be able to see it cumming he tried to think of things he could do to defend himself. he saw a large catlike figure approaching him. it was way to big for a normal cat. and larger species didnt appear in the city he was scared and stared to panic Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Hikaru laugh at how weakly this Aki is, seeing him scattered and trying to open the book, he laugh alot more. "Oh no, how will he use it with his capability? Maybe he will be lucky to summon a demon frog...ahahaha!" He held his stomach and wioe a bit of tears at the side of his eyes. He knew that something was after Aki and he knew that this thing is not even close to his match. He saw Aki entered a small ally, and Hikaru jumped at the roof of the nearest establishment to him, run through the next and jump onyo the other, hanging his head just above Aki, his eyes glowed as he looked at the lesser youkai who was about to lunge towards Aki. "Yoh.... take one more step towards the boy and i'll eat your heart.." he said while his head dangles in the air, and his claws support his weight, firmly fasten on the walls. As Aki's knees gave, because of the stress, scared or others, Hikaru was sure that it wasn't because of the book, for one thing, the book was Hikaru's seal. It should give Aki strenght. Hikaru jump in front of Aki, landing in a perfect crouch and with one swift movement, he lunge forward, and aim at the throat of the thief. "Aki, close your eyes!" He shout and grab plunge his hands at the creatures throat making it thrash violently and swing its arms without an aim. He dodge it and kick it's stomach and making the creature gave a growl. In his dying breath the creature glared at Hikaru before it turned into dust. He walked back at Aki, and rummage his bag, with a drop of the youkai's blood, he smeared at it and the book returned ordinary. Aki looked relieved and smiled then hugged Hikaru whit out warning "t..thank you" he said then quickly let go after he realized what he just did he looked down "i..i just wanted to get my stuff" his voice was still shaking slightly his body was still alill limp "wh..why would i be attacked now if had it for months he said more to himself then to Hikaru. he tried to get up but his body was still shaking and limp to get up he felt kind of worthless and bad he just sat there and scratched his head calming down and had forgotten completely that Hikaru asked if he was alright. he Looked at Hikaru who was in front of him and remembered "i.. i think im alright" he averted his eyes thinking to himself i really am worthless.
