[Guest Kotorichan]

Ceries's dreams were also filled with torment. Every once in awhile he would start whimpering fearfully or awake with a start only to fall back asleep.

The entire time he slept he clung to Vaughn like his life depended on it.

Vaughn eventually could no longer sleep. He was aware of how fitfully Ceries seemed to sleep.

 

He nuzzled and tried to keep him warm with his furry body.... but eventually he shifted back and just hugged him. “Shush baby.... shush. You’re safe.” Vaughn checked his temperature... still a little fevered.

Ceries fully awoke when he felt Vaughn's arms around his body. He looked up at the man, still a bit delirious but clearly more present than before he fell asleep. "Vaughn..?" He blinked up at the man.

“There you are.” He smiled. Vaughn stroked his cheek. “How are you feeling? I can get the doctor if you need him.”

 

Vaughn just wanted him to be okay. “Is your body feeling sore?”

Ceries leaned into his touch, half closing his eyes at the man's cool touch. "I'm okay... I'm sorry but I'm getting used to that..."

He lightly chewed his lip for a moment. "The things he did... And the things I said to you... That part wasn't a nightmare... Was it..?" He asked, looking away sadly.

“Getting used to what?” Vaughn asked softly. “You’re burning up, Ceries. This isn’t normal. You’re ill....”

 

The next question threw him... he chewed his lip but shook his head. “Not your imagination.” But nightmare felt like a very accurate word for the whole ordeal. “Let’s just.... let it go....” talking about it wasn’t exactly Vaughn’s cup of tea!

"I'm used to my body hurting all the time..." Ceries frowned at the man's words. "I'm sorry... I don't know whats happening to me... I feel like I become another person when he touches me..."

He snuggled closer to the man. "I hate it so much..."

He took a shaky breath and forced himself to sit up. "How long have I been asleep..?"

“You should be used to do. But right now? You seem ill, not just sore, Ceries.” Vaughn was worried about the man.

 

He stroked his cheek. “I know... it was horrible... being unable to move....” having to listen to Ceries words.

 

Vaughn realised he should be honest. “I need.... a little time to recover from.... that.”

[Guest Kotorichan]

Ceries leaned into his touch, unable to hide his sadness. "I understand... If you need to take the rest of the day to... Be away from me then I understand..." He looked away. "I should get back to work anyway..."

[Guest syaoran-puu]

“You’re not going anywhere. It’s the middle of the night. You’re going to sleep. Or I’m going to get the doctor who will make you sleep!” He said seriously.

 

Vaughn shook his head, “I don’t need to be away from you, Ceries. I just.... can’t be intimate with you right now. Not until my head sorts itself out.” He didn’t even know what item Brenton had used! He’d been blindfolded. He did know he didn’t enjoy it.

"I wasn't able to finish my work for the day..." Ceries protested weakly, although he allowed himself to lay back down next to the man.

"May I still kiss you..?" He asked softly. "Or would you prefer I not..." He wanted some kind of comfort, his entire body hurt, but he didn't want to make Vaughn uncomfortable.

Vaughn shook his head. “I don’t care. I’m not letting you go back to work today. If you don’t rest you’ll be ill for longer! Maybe even for your coronation...” he could allow that if he could help it.

 

Kissing? Instead of saying it he leaned in and kissed him. He didn’t mind kissing Ceries. It wasn’t like there had been much kissing involved earlier that day.

Ceries melted into the kiss, allowing Vaughn complete control over his body. "Thank you..." He murmured against the man's lips.

He lightly rested his head against the man's shoulder. "I'll try to get some more rest..." He promised. "Will you stay with me for awhile longer?"

“I wasn’t planning to go anywhere, Ceries. Unless it was to get the doctor.” He promised gently.

 

He nuzzled him softly.

 

Vaughn kissed his cheek. “Just try to sleep. Okay?”

Ceries completely relaxed into his touch, closing his eyes. "Thank you..."

He lightly clung to Vaughn's chest and drifted back to sleep, this time his sleep was a bit more restful.

Vaughn didn’t sleep much this time. His mind wouldn’t switch off. He didn’t know where all this was going.... but he doubted it would be good...

 

Holding the man close he eventually let himself sleep. Dreams of running and flying colliding to produce some rather dark dream.

Ceries awoke early the next morning. His fever had broken but his body still felt weak and achey. He slowly sat up and looked down at Vaughn.

Vaughn was asleep, there were bruises on his wrists and ankles from the rope, as well as marks on his hips, legs and bum. It was clear he’d had a rough night.

 

He didn’t stir immediately. Sleep had been hard to come by and his body aches needily. Desperate for the respite of sleep.

Ceries's chest hurt at the sight of the bruises. How could he have felt any kind of pleasure when Vaughn was suffering right in front of him. He chewed his lip and slipped out of bed, doing his best not to wake the man as he slipped on a robe and made his way to the door.

Hearing footprints he blinked to awareness. Preparing to defend himself if necessary.... except... it was just Ceries. “Where are you going, Ceries?” He yawned and rubbed his eyes.

Ceries froze at the sound of Vaughn's voice. "I... Needed some water..." He lied, unable to look at the man. He knew that if he told the truth Vaughn would almost certainly stop him.

[Guest syaoran-puu]

He paused at that. “You were ill last night, Ceries. Perhaps I should get you a glass?” Though something told the shifter he would be refused.

 

Vaughn rubbed his wrists a little and waited for the reply.

 

Had he overstayed his welcome, perhaps? Or was Ceries going back to Brenton for.... more?

Ceries bit his lip before hurrying back to the bed and pulling the man into a tight hug. "Just... You should get some rest..." He said softly.

[Guest syaoran-puu]

The air was pushed out with an ‘ompf’ as hell was hugged. He laughed and pat his back. “Okay. If you’re sure, Ceries.” He chewed his lip before offering. “You be.... safe. Okay?”

Ceries nuzzled him gently. He knew that Vaughn could probably tell that he was lying, the man knew him too well. "I will..." He murmured before pulling away, giving the man a sad smile. "Just... Wait here..."

He hurried out of the room and went to Brenton's door. He took a deep breath and knocked.
