Well, I'm not into Xmas, XD, but well... I know it's 1st advent, niece ate the 1st chocolate XDD

 

In here the tradition is to decorate during the 6-8 december since they're National holiday, so mom is decorating next Sunday, she wants to share it with "all of us"... so I'll be setting the Nativity next Sunday...

1st advent means first sunday in december; It's on Dec 1st you eat the first chocolate ^^

Nativity? :s what's that?

Ah well we only decorate the house in general and bake christmas treats, but we wait with the tree until Dec. 23rd. THen on 24th we celebrate christmas ^^,

A Nativity? it's the representation of Jesus place of birth, the barn? smth like this...

 

 

Ours it's lil bigger but when we were kids, my dad used to use a door to make the whole Bethelem city, with castle, river and even a Roman army XD, it was really fun to set the Nativity..

We don't decorate the house, a garland on the door and that's it, not anymore...

We in Sweden aren't that christian, so we put tones of small "goblins"(swedish word:tomte, we also call santa claus "tomte" or "tomtefar") around the house after old tradition and we have advent candlesticks or advent stars as well as some girlands I suppose. And then, ofc, the tree ^^'

Tell me if I'm mistaken, but "goblins" are like lil demons/ dwarves?? I know the word but maybe the meaning is wrong...

 

I live in a "Catholic" country, so Nativity is the most traditional thing, but lot of houses also have the tree, they use both, some lights on windows and some stickers for the windows. We don't use those since dad, and I guess mom still sets the Nativity as a kind of homage to him since he enjoyed Xmas like a lil kid U_U

We have them in Norway too. We call them 'Nisser'

but when I was a kid a show was made about blue ones 'Blånisser', so now we have decorations of both blue and red XD
