Welcome to Cross Academy, a private school which is split up into two different classes, a day class and a night class. What most people don't know is that there is a reason for dividing the students in two groups... a secret about the night class, which almost no one knows of besides a select few individuals, such as the dean of the school and the disciplinary committee... the night students are actually vampires. Well it's obvious to those who know about it: they're all very pale, have a cold body and an overwhelming beauty. But the normal students just think that they're just good looking people who've been chosen to the night class because of their looks.

The reason why an academy like this exists, is to get vampires and humans to coexist peacefully together. The disciplinary committee, made from a few day students, knows the secret of night class, and protects the day students and makes sure that everyone obeys the rules. The most absolute rule for the day students is: Never go out during night time.

The school is "ruled" by Kaien Cross, the headmaster and a legendary vampire hunter who nowadays wishes to bring peace between humans and vampires.

 

THE ACTUAL PLOT:

 

One day, an order from the Vampire Council is executed: A new pureblood is put into the school, for what reason, no-one knows. After that pureblood appears, day-class students start to suddenly disappear and odd things are seen lurking in the shadows. Vampire Hunter association seems to know something about this since they immediately sent a few hunters to keep an eye on the academy. But even the hunters can't prevent the sudden disappearances of the day-class students. Suspicious people are coming to the school grounds to have "meetings" with this new pureblood, and Vampire Council's elders seem to have taken an action with something related to the peace between humans and vampires.

 

Inside the spoilers is... well, a spoiler about the whole meaning behind this plot. I just had to put it here because in case you want to be on the side of those guys, you must know about their targets etc. etc. So you can also be on the side of this new pureblood, either openly or then you can work as a secret subordinate who has disquised himself as a vampire hunter for ex.

(It gets revealed later on in the rp that the Vampire Council captured those day-class students with the help of this new pureblood, and this pureblood also changed them into vampires. It's also not the Vampire Council who is behind this, but that certain pureblood. His target is to build an army of vampires and order them to destroy the human world. Those vampires MUST obey him because he is their creator and they can't go against his orders. Some of them he'll let to turn into level E so that they will run loose and kill everything that comes into their way. The problem is that the level E vampires don't obey anyone, not even their creator. The future of the whole human and vampire -society is on the brink of destruction.)

 

 

 

Important places inside the academy:

1.Main gate:

The gate which connects the Cross Academy to the world. It's the only way to get out of the Academy's grounds.

 

2.Main building:

The school building where the students are basically studying. Day students during days and Night students during nights. Simple as that.

 

Classroom (Night class):

Well obviously the classroom for the night students. This isn't often used for studying reasons though. Mostly the night students are hunting during the night time, so only a few students are obediently attending the classes.

 

5. and 6. Dorm gates:

They exist to prevent the night students from going to the day dormitory and drink blood from all the students. It's also to prevent the day students from going to the night dormitory to seek out the secrets of vampires. Mostly there are the day-dorm's fan girls who try to go to the night dormitory to see the mesmerizingly handsome night-class guys.

 

7.Sun dorm:

Very much like a normal school dormitory, where the human students live. Usually the students from this dormitory go outside when it's time for the night class to step out and attend the classes.

 

9. Headmaster residence:

The place where Cross Kaien lives. Only rare students have ever seen the building, and even rarer have said to have been invited inside. It's a mystery what is in there. Probably just a normal house for the headmaster to live in.

10.Moon dorm:

A large, mansion-like building where the night students live and for that reason the windows are always covered by curtains. Vampires don't die from sunlight, but it still makes them feel uncomfortable. The moon dorm is ruled by a pureblood-student who is highly respected in the night-group.

 

 

 

 

 

Vampire Ranks:

Pureblood:

The heritage of these vampires hasn't been diluted by human blood. They're the strongest type of vampire and have the most significant powers, many can erase memory and destroy a lower vampire with ease. Despite the fact that Purebloods are very powerful, they only make up for a very small portion of the vampire population. The Council hold Purebloods in extremely high regard. It is taboo to kill or to even harm a Pureblood. As a result, they are treated like royalty. The powers of Purebloods are dangerous to both their fellow vampires and humans. They have the ability to compel lesser vampires to do their bidding. If a human is bitten by a Pureblood that human will turn into a vampire. Though there is one condition. The human has to drink his/her creator's blood in order to survive alive from the transformation. The Pureblood and ex-human, in question, become bonded in Master and Servant-relationship. The master is able to completely control their servant, while the servant becomes incapable of ever killing their master, even if they wish to. When Purebloods die, their bodies slowly disperse into small sparkles and then shatter like glass. Subsequently, the death for a Pureblood is different to the death of any other type of vampire.

There are only 7 Pureblood families: Kuran, Hio, Hanadagi, Toma, Shirabuki, Ouri, and Shoto.

 

Rank B:

They are elite vampires with specialized abilities beyond normal vampires.These are also very powerful vampires, but not as much so as Purebloods. They also have a small amount of human blood in their ancestry. They also have super strength and speed. When an aristocrat is killed, they turn to dust, as do the other levels below them. These aristocratic vampires are still able to be compelled by Purebloods, but enjoy a much more independent lifestyle in general. The Council of Elders is usually made up from their ranks.

 

Rank C:

These are average vampires with no significant powers. They only have super speed and they heal faster than a normal human. They were humans that had been bitten by a pureblood and then drank their creator's blood, becoming stable.

 

Rank D:

Ex-human vampires, rank D are one of the lowest form of vampires, humans who have been turned into vampires by being bitten by a Pureblood vampire.If they don't want to become rank E vampires, they'll have to drink the blood of the Pureblood that bit them. The consequence is that the Pureblood would have complete control over the person and that person would truly become a vampire.

 

Rank E:

Ex-human vampires, rank E is the lowest form of vampires, humans who have been turned into vampires by being bitten by a Pureblood vampire. The E in Level E represents the word 'end' because after falling to level E, it's usually the end of their life after losing control. They're like animals, not able to talk except a few, disjointed words. They growl and kill everything that comes into their way. They're insane monsters that can't really even be called vampires.

Dhampir:

Half a human, half a vampire. A child who was born between a human and a vampire. Ages slowly, just like vampires, but is more vulnerable and not as fast and strong as a full vampire. They're very rare because love-relationships between a human and a vampire are very rare: Most vampires think of humans as servants or food only. Their body warmth is like a normal human's and they have no weakness of sunlight.

Vampire Hunter Association:

 

The Vampire Hunter Association is made up only of vampire hunters.. It keeps control over its members, assigning them jobs and creating the list for which dangerous vampires are added in order for hunters to destroy them. It is lead by a President who has great authority over the Hunters and has the right to order any person to be executed for disobeying his or her orders. The Hunters carry special weapons that don't harm humans but are fatal to vampires, often stifling their abilities to regenerate quickly. It is taboo for a vampire to use Hunter weapons against other vampires in a duel.

 

The Vampire Council:

 

The Vampire Council, known for as the Council of Elders, was tasked with protecting the last remaining Pureblood families alive. They control the whole vampire society.

Accelerated Healing:

The purer the vampire blood, the stronger the healing factor.

 

Decelerated aging:

the purer the vampire blood, the longer the life of the vampire. Purebloods are immortal. They age very slowly and they can only be killed if someone cuts off their head or if they are continuously immobilized and shot/stabbed in the heart with an anti-vampire weapon. A vampire lower than a pureblood will eventually die after thousands or hundreds of years.

 

Heightened Senses:

Their five senses are much more powerful.

 

Super Strength:

Vampires can tear through flesh with ease and destroy large concrete structures (walls,pillars,etc) and can leap great distances.

 

Super Speed:

They are able to appear beside someone instantly, and cross a 50 meters wide area in a blink of an eye.

 

Other info:

The body of a vampire is cold but they do have blood and even drink blood from other vampires at times.

Most vampires think of humans as a nuisance, but not all of them.

Vampires can be out in the sun, but will be weakened and exhausted if they spent hours in there.. Class E and D vampires are not affected by sunlight because of their human-background.

Powers increase by level -- not only do Purebloods have, say, more powers than a Noblebood, but those they have are superior (ie. a Pureblood will always be faster and stronger than a Nobleblood). However, note that a particularly devious and creative vampire of a lower level can outsmart and defeat a higher level vampire; they just will always lose in a direct confrontation.

 

LEVELS C and D

- Low level Speciality Power (control over vines, wind control, etc.)

- Physically faster, stronger, and resistant to injury.

- Regeneration.

- Superhuman senses.

- Immunity to normal poisons and human diseases.

- High resistance to sunlight (are not affected by it).

- Low need for blood.

- Low resistance to sunlight (have difficulty using powers and concentrating).

- Familiar summoning.

Exclusive Pureblood Powers:

 

Other than being able to heal with a touch, and being capable of dominating the mind of any vampire\human, Purebloods have also the following powers (updated from the manga, recently).

 

 

Familiar Summoning - Not so much as a real familiar, these are actually a mere extension of the Pureblood's body that usually takes the shape of animals (wolf or bats) -- and it can shift between forms at a moment's notice. However, the familiar is directly connected to the Pureblood's self. It doesn't speak, normally, but if the Pureblood wishes it, it can also take his or her human form. In that case, it can speak. Since familiars are mindless, they only speak what the vampire wishes it to say, and simply follow their master's desires and indications - they are constantly in telepathic contact with their maker -- some believe that since the familiars are actually part of the vampire, they aren't so much in telepathic contact, as much as they simply have the same brain as their vampire lord.

In either form, the familiar can use any power that the Pureblood has -- and the Pureblood can see, hear, smell, feel or taste anything that the familiar does.

As the familiar is an extension of the Pureblood's body, it can be protected from\ absorbed back into it with just a thought. Usually, familiar wolves display the same fur colour as their vampire master's hair.

 

 

Power Sacrifice - Considered the ultimate sacrifice a Pureblood can do, a Level A can choose to sacrifice his or her life to seal all the powers and memories of a vampire, turning that vampire into a human without any memory previous to the moment of the sealing. The sealed vampires become effectively human, losing their extraordinary looks, powers, sensitivity to sunlight and need for blood; they can grow sick, old and eventually will die of old age -- unless a Pureblood vampire bites them, turning them as they would a normal human. In that moment, all the sealed vampire's memories will return, as well as their powers and their enhanced appearance.

Any Pureblood that seals another vampire like this will immediately die from the strain.

Vampires are currently ruled by a set of predefined laws that must be obeyed at all costs, or incur punishment. The first set of laws comes from the ruling bodies of Vampire society, and seem to have been put in action after the treaty with the Hunter Association was closed.

 

Human Society

ALL vampires are prohibited to:

 

- Willingly reveal vampire existence to humans

- Leaving humans who discovered vampire existence unaccounted for (the vampire must wipe their memories or turn them into servants. There has been cases of humans who discovered vampires, but were considered trustworthy so they were allowed to retain their memories and free will. However, the vampire vouching for them will be considered responsible should they get into trouble).

- Interfering too much in human day-to-day existence, such as directly controlling human politicians and ruling bodies of human society.

- Feed from a human without permission.

- Turn a human without permission.

 

Hunter Society:

ALL vampires are prohibited to:

 

- Attack a Hunter unprovoked.

- Interfere with Hunter investigations, especially if it involves hunting down Level Es.

 

 

Vampire Society

Pureblood vampires end up being allowed to get away with a lot more than other vampires. Even when they go mad and start attacking their peers, they are considered sacred, and the rest of vampire society will prefer to allow them to murder and destroy than putting the pureblood to death. Instead, they try to contain them.

 

ALL vampires are prohibited to:

 

- Drink the blood of another vampire without permission.

- Unwarranted attack of another vampire.

- Attack\Harm\End the Existence of another vampire.

- Drain the life force of another vampire

 

These crimes become outright taboo if they target a pureblood vampire.

 

Punishment is usually meted out by the Council of Elders, but, in some rare cases, the Hunter Association (especially if it involves humans) might be allowed to hunt down and destroy the guilty party.

Societal Organization

Vampire society, even if ruled by the mostly democratic Elder Council, pretty much functions in a quasi-feudalistic, pyramid-style government.

 

At the top sit the Purebloods\Royals, who are served by their lackeys Noblebloods, most of the time acting as Knights, bodyguards, emissaries representatives, confidants - or even lovers. It's very common for Purebloods to have one or more Noblebloods as bodyguards.

 

Common vampires are seen more as the plebeian, and take the roles of servants and menial workers, getting more or less the same respect as those did.

 

 

 

Pureblood Status

 

Purebloods considered sacred to vampire society. Not only are they seen as the source of protection against the decay of the bloodlines, but they are also seen as the last line of defence, with enough power to protect the vampire society against Hunters if push comes to shove.

 

Therefore, they are allowed to pretty much get away with anything, as long as they don't outright break the rules (and even then, they might get away with it).

 

The protection of Pureblood vampires overrules every other rule, and vampires are willing to risk old peace treaties with the Hunters to ensure the protection of a single Pureblood -- even when they are a menace to both human and vampiric society. They prefer to try to quietly contain the threats, even while being willing to risk the lives of those to try to prevent a Pureblood from doing what they want to do, than to exterminate the life of a precious one.

 

Any vampire attacking a Pureblood will be seen as a heathen and punished harshly (very likely with death).

 

The downside to this is that Purebloods are pressured to pretty much find mates with the single goal reproduce to continue the bloodlines, settling with a companion who they might not love after all.

 

 

 

Marriage and Sexuality

 

Blood purity is a big issue in vampire society, so matches usually take this into account -- unless the vampire in question is so low level that nobody really care. Human mates are considerable as absolutely undesirable, and should any vampire decide to slum with one, he or she is expected to, at least, Turn the human first.

 

The higher the level of the vampire, the more pressure they're in them to marry other of their Level, and spawn as many children as possible -- in the case of Purebloods and their rarity, marriage between siblings is not seen as taboo at all, and is actually expected to happen.

 

When there aren't other Purebloods available for marriage, Noblebloods will be selected. In the end, many Level As and Bs envy level Cs, who are pretty much free to mate with whoever they want as their blood isn't an issue.

 

Male Level As (and possibly Bs) are allowed to keep concubines (it's not clear if females are as well), usually Noblebloods.

 

Vampire sexuality is considered an uncomplicated affair: at least one pureblood in the history was openly bisexual (Sara Shirabuki), and nobody particularly cares. Having multiple lovers is also accepted, and vampire society seems to be particularly lenient with what happens behind closed doors, as long as, on the side, they go about fulfilling their duty to spawn children and keep the race strong.

 

Then again, this leniency might also come from the fact that purebloods are seen as sacred and able to do no wrong.

RULES INSIDE THE ACADEMY:

Day Class:

- During class hours (from 9 am to 3 pm), all students must wear their uniform, unless they're resting in their rooms.

- Students may not exit or be outside the Academy during class hours, or during curfew hours.

- Curfew starts at 9 pm and ends at 8 am - all students must be inside the Sun Campus during these hours.

- Lights out at 10:30 pm - all students must be in their rooms with the lights turned off at this hour.

- Students may not enter the Night Dorm without the Headmaster's permission.

- All students must respect and obey the Guardians (Discipline committee's members) and the Class Presidents.

- No students are allowed unaccompanied in the woods.

 

 

Night Class:

- During class hours (from 6 pm to midnight), all students must wear their uniform, unless they're resting in their rooms.

- Drinking blood is strictly prohibited inside the campus. Furthermore, all students must regularly take their blood tablets.

- Attacking, showing powers to or revealing the fact one is a vampire to any member of the Day Class (be it students, staff or teachers) is strictly prohibited.

- Students are asked not exit or be outside the Academy during class hours.

- Curfew starts at 5 am and ends at 6 pm - all students are asked to inside the Moon Campus during these hours.

- Students may not enter the Sun Dorm without the Headmaster's or the Night Class President's permission.

- All students must respect and obey the Guardians (Discipline committee's members), Staff and the Class Presidents.

Oh, you don't have to know about it haha, that's why I gave so much information about it here. And dhampirs can choose which classes they attend. Dhampirs as vampire hunters.... That's even better than just allowed. If you're making a character like that, please do it.

Background/History: Fuyuki comes from a long generation of Vampire Hunters, but he is the first Dhampir in the Uehara family. His mother, a Rank B vampire, was said to have died at childbirth, but many knew that she was killed by someone from the Uehara family. The event has never been a topic of conversation in the family, and if it ever surfaces, the conversation is always dropped – even with Fuyuki and his father. Both knew the truth, but both had never said a word about it, not even to each other*; but both seem to comprehend why, and often spend long hours sitting together in silence thinking about the lady of their lives. Fuyuki has never expressed anger or hatred towards his family – in fact, he had opted on his own accord to continue the family’s name and be a Vampire Hunter. He believes in duty, and necessity.

Personality:

Vampire abilities (I don't know if these apply to a Dhampir)

- Physically faster, stronger, and resistant to injury.

- Superhuman senses.

Others:

Fuyuki is truly not angry towards his family, nor does he harbour any intentions of revenge. There are no suppressed emotions, whatsoever.

*note from above: The only time the two have ever spoken about the event is earlier in Fuyuki’s life when his father had decided to tell everything he knew to him. Everything else that Fuyuki knew that was not from his father, he gathered himself.

@UndertheWeather || He could be anything between 18 and 300 or 400. He's aging as slowly as vampires but yeah, the age isn't necessary. And it could also be that he has just became 18, and has stopped aging only now due to his young age.

And your occupation is just acceptable.

And no, dhampirs only have superhuman senses, and are physically stronger than humans. But other than that, your character looks good.

That's why nowadays before I start a rp-recruitment thread, I always look for the picture of my character in beforehand. Now I've got literally 27 tabs of pictures open in my other google chrome. Background/History:

 

Ryuu is the eldest son of the noble Tachibana Family, a family who has always had a seat on the Vampire Council. Ryuu had a younger brother, who was accidentally slaughtered by the Vampire Hunter Association when found in an alley trying to prevent a Level E from attacking a human. Since then, he loathes humans and attempts to hunt them secretly without the Hunter Association finding out about this. Since his father is a Council Member, Ryuu is kept well informed of its activities and secretive missions undertaken to undermine the Vampire Hunter Association. Ryuu abhors the Purebloods and fears them being able to take control over him, prompting him to do things he is against. Against his parent’s wishes, he joined Cross Academy this year in the hope to being able to kill unsuspecting humans. His goal is to provoke the Vampire Hunter Association into openly attacking the Vampire Society, which could lead to a war between both races.

Intelligent, revengeful, tenacity

 

Vampire abilities:

Ability to heal faster, manipulate water (turn it into ice so it can be used as an extra weapon if he can’t use his Katana swords), speed

 

Other:

Ryuu, being revengeful, is prepared to go to great lengths to provoke a war between the Vampire and Human races and is searching for an important, courageous ally to help him overthrow the Vampire Hunter Association
