  2. Thank you for sharing! It is your first sharing, and I can't help but ask: are you OK if someone reupload or share your files when your link will be dead or even now on other web-sites? If you are against it, why don't you add "Do not reupload / share outside of Yaoi-Otakue / elsewhere" or "do not reupload without my permisson" ets to your post? You have 24 hours to edit after you posted something. Without an explicit prohibition, downloading and sharing may be considered allowed. It may cause you some bad moments if you find it somewhere later. :(

Hi there! I'm fairly new to this site so I'm not too sure how replying works, but when I download the zip file it's asking me for a password. Would you happen to know it? I've been revisiting old posts trying to find it haha. If not no, worries! Thanks.

@FroktimeThank you for explaining and for checking again. I really appreciate it. I understand that release patterns can differ depending on the title and publisher, and I also understand that decisions like this are ultimately up to each person. I was mainly concerned because this particular title had only just been released in both print and ebook formats. Thank you for understanding my point.

@sayorenjo I think there are many people who don't know this, so I'll clarify for you about comics from platforms in different countries. In Japan, I've noticed that sensei typically earn revenue from physical books, and digital editions also contribute a fair amount. If a series is popular, the author can receive income from goods and official netprint. If it's extremely popular, they can also earn from drama CDs and live-action adaptations. Series are usually serialized in magazines and can run for many months, several years, or even a lifetime. I often say that manga is really quite chill. In Korea, you might be surprised, but most authors only earn money through online webtoon platforms and ebooks. Very few get their works printed and sold if online sales are poor. Sadly, if you look into it, they often suffer from health issues like joint problems, cancer... and sometimes even miscarriages...... along with exploitation by companies, studios, and harassment from senior colleagues. That's why Korea is very strict about online copyright. Plagiarism is also common. Since most authors only earn through online chapters, they are often forced to work continuously, with publishers pushing them to release a chapter every week or 10 days, which is also why they get sick. For physical books or goods, they receive a relatively small percentage, with the rest going to the company. In China, authors are also fairly stable with their revenue because the policies are quite good there. With a large population, it's usually stable. However, plagiarism is a major issue there, so it's hard to say for sure. Still, comics in China are very cheap, so if you can buy them yourself, you might be shocked when comparing prices to Korea or Japan. In Taiwan, comics are protected by copyright just as well as in Japan.

@Froktime Thank you for explaining. First of all, Iโ€™m sorry, but I donโ€™t have enough knowledge about how Korean comics are usually released or sold, so I canโ€™t really comment on that part. Regarding the Mamita title I mentioned, I was referring to 10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40, volume 3. From the official information I found, both the print and ebook versions were released on 10 June, so I donโ€™t think this was a case where the ebook came out several months after the print version. Also, I donโ€™t think Japanese comics can really be described as mainly dependent on physical book sales anymore. The market is now heavily digital, and ebook sales are a significant part of it. There are, of course, cases where a print-only title later gets an ebook release, or where there is a small gap between print and ebook releases. But when both formats are planned from the start, I donโ€™t think a gap of several months is generally common. With that in mind, I feel there may be a slight misunderstanding about how Japanese BL comic releases and sales usually work. If what is being shared is the ebook version, I think it makes sense to consider it from the perspective of readers who want the ebook. From that point of view, sharing it so soon after the ebook release feels questionable to me, especially when thinking about the author. This is only my personal view, but I wanted to comment as it was something I felt concerned about.
