Carter frowned as he moved his legs off to the side so that he was fully laying down on the floor now, he then sat up and rubbed the back of his head winching slightly knowing for a fact that it would probably leave a bump. He got up slowly and moved back on to his bed turning off the light and slipping under the covers passing out.

The next day came all to quickly for the young man, he yawned and stretched out his arms above his head hearing a few cracks which caused him to sigh softly. His light purple eyes looked over at his brother's sleeping form, a deep frown crossed over his face as memories of the night before played over in his head. He shook his head while he got out of his bed and changed his clothes. He pulled on a clean pair of boxers and a new pair of acid washed tight gray jean's that seemed to hug his legs and butt quite nicely. He also slipped on a new clean tight black sleeveless v-necked shirt showing off his nice strong arms.

He walked around packing everything together and after he had done so he walked over to his brother and shook him gently before he spoke in a soft voice. "Loinnir... It's time to get up..."

Loinnir groaned softly at the touch, waving his brother away and pulling the blanket up over his head. "Five more minutes," he mumbled softly. He just wanted to go back to sleep. He hadn't gotten to sleep until late the night before even though he knew he had to be up early so they could get on the road. That didn't make doing so any easier. He sighed softly after a minute, pulling the blanket down and reluctantly sitting up. He stretched, stifling a yawn before he slid out of bed to pull on a pair of jeans and loose t-shirt.

"We need to hit up the gas station for coffee," he said with a smile at his brother. He was able to keep what happened away from the front of his mind, not wanting to think about it. He also had no intention of talking about it because his brother didn't want that. He slipped his shoes on and he strapped a knife to his calf before tucking another one into his pants' pocket.

Carter rolled his eyes but nodded his head walking over to the side of his bed and put his own shoes on before he walked over to the door to open it up so that he wouldn't have any trouble with him carrying the bags out. He walked over to the bags that were on the floor and picked them up. "Yeah well I had a different thought in mind... How about we get some food first before we move on to our next gig..." he said while walking out of the open motel door and towards his car.

"Sounds good to me," Loinnir said with a slight smile as he grabbed the last bag and followed Carter outside. He waited for the trunk to be popped before he put in the bag and helped his brother finish loading everything up. Once everything was loaded, he slid into the passenger seat of the car. "There's a nice diner outside of town," he added before shutting the passenger door and buckling up.

Carter slipped inside of his nice black car and closed his own door, putting the key in and starting it up. "Alright... We'll head there then..." he said softly before he pulled out of the motel parking lot and drove away from the place. While he was driving he was quiet and so was the rest of the car. Usually he would be blasting music but he just didn't feel like it, just then his cellphone started ringing which made him look down at his pocket for a few minutes then back up at the road. The ringing continued which caused him to sigh and did his best to reach into his pocket to get it out.

He then let out a victorious chuckle as he pulled it out, sliding it up and answering it. "Yo.... Oh hey Michelle... How have you... Oh well no need to yell!... We were heading to a new gig... What!?" Carter pulled off on the side of the highway and parked his car. He froze, his hand on the steering wheel tightened as his purple eyes narrowed slightly. "Shit... Okay okay calm down.... We will come back home.... Alright... See you soon bye..." he hung up and placed his head on the steering wheel and placed his phone off in between him and his brother.

Loinnir glanced at his brother as he waited for him to answer the phone. A frown slipped across his face as he listened to the conversation and as the car was pulled over. Something had to be terribly wrong for Carter to pull over, and for Michelle to sound like she did. He hadn't heard what she had said, but he could hear her tone and her raised voice.

"What is it? Why are we heading back?" he asked, shifting in the seat to better look at his brother. It had to be truly dreadful for them to give up on the next gig in order to go home. He normally wouldn't have cared all that much, but this time he just felt a bit irritated at having to give something up in order to head home even though he lacked an idea as to why they had to head back.

Carter sighed as he lifted his head up and look at his brother with unreadable eyes and face to match. "Our house... Somebody rebuilt our house..." his voice was deadly calm unlike how it was a few moments ago. "... Michelle called to me that something happened in that house..." his eyes turned cold and hard as his grip on the steering wheel tightened even more turning his knuckles white. He really didn't want to head back home... But... Another attack happened and he was thinking that it was the same demon from before that attacked and killed their mother.

Loinnir frowned slightly at the words. "All right...what happened?" he asked, noticing the grip on the wheel. However, he was having trouble feeling worried about it. Things happen all the time and it was bound to happen at their old home. That place held so much negative energy that it had to attract all manner of things, spirit and physical alike. Unless it was something terribly bad he didn't see why they had to go back.

He kept his eyes on his brother but then he looked away with a far off look on his face. "Well... apparently a woman was attacked in her sleep last night..." his voice was quiet and harsh. He released a sigh before he took his car out of park and pulled back on the road with a harsh look crossing over his face.

"What kind of attack?" Loinnir asked, noticing the look on his brother's face as he shifted back into a better position for riding in the car. He wanted to know what would cause Carter to have a look like that. The attack may have been something mild or it could have been something that resembled how their mother had died. He hoped it wasn't the latter. No one should have to go through that.

Carter was quiet not saying a word, all he did however was put on some music and turned it up. Classical Rock music filled the car. He was trying to calm his nerves down. Hearing how the woman was attacked made a shiver run down his spine. It was semi-close to how his mother was killed but the woman however was still alive and at a hospital so that's where he was heading towards.

Loinnir leaned back in the seat of the car, letting out an inaudible sigh of agitation. He disliked it when his brother never answered a question, especially when it came to a potential case, but he didn't push the matter. He leaned back the passenger seat to get more comfortable. He planned on taking a nap for the majority of the trip. It made time go by quicker and he wouldn't have to deal with his brother.

"Wake me up whenever you stop," he said before settling down and shifting the seatbelt to be more comfortable as he shut his eyes, draping an arm over them to block out the sunlight.

The older of the two rolled his eyes but continued on driving anyways, he sung along softly to the song that was now playing through out the car. After a few minutes of driving along the highway his phone started ringing again and so he turned down the music and looked over at his phone with wide eyes as he saw who was calling him. He took the phone and slide it up pressing it to his ear. "What is it now Michelle?... W-W-What!? She's dead!" that caused him to slam on his brakes, his whole body was shaking in anger. "Damn it!... Alright... We will be there before sun down... Okay... Keep me posted..." he hung his phone up and tossed it in the back seat. He once again pulled over on the side of the road and parked his car once again.

But this time he took off his seat belt and leaned over towards the glove compartment and opened it up taking a pack of cigarettes out and popped one in his mouth lighting it up. He rolled down his window and turned off his car leaning back in his seat with closed eyes.

Loinnir opened his eyes, lowering his arm and glancing at Carter when he felt the car stop. "So, she's dead. Why have you stopped the car?" he asked, unbuckling his seat belt now that it was safe to do so. He rolled onto his side to watch Carter so he could gauge his brother's reaction. He had never seen his brother stop the car at any sort of news so he wanted to make sure he could figure everything out and to make sure he knew everything. "And are you going to tell me how she died?"

He took a puff of his cigarette and sighed softly, he opened his eyes and looked over at the younger male with an unreadable expression. "Yeah she's dead... And the reason why I stopped the car is because... I don't want to drive angry..." his words were slightly harsh and cold. He took another long drag of his cancer stick and blew the smoke out feeling slightly calmer then before. "... Yeah just give me a minute alright...." his now calm voice said as he turned his head back forwards, his eyes seemed unfocused and hazy.

Loinnir watched his brother for a minute before he rolled over to wait for Carter to speak. He could press the matter, but he wasn't going to at the moment. He wouldn't have been very nice given his brother's tone. He ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it slightly, before settling further into the seat. His eyes shut part way, but he had no intention of falling asleep as he waited. Whatever was going on had his brother up-in-arms and had him stressed so it had to be something important which meant he had to keep his mouth closed on going back to the house.

He was quiet for a few moment's longer before he spoke up once again. "The woman... Was killed in the hospital..." His normal calm and cool voice was shaky as he spoke, it had him spooked but he didn't want the younger male to think of him as a coward. He then took another long drag before he flicked the cigarette butt out of his window and started up his car once again before he buckled up and look over at the younger waiting for him to buckle up as well. Carter sighed and closed his eyes for a few seconds before he opened them again and reached his hand over ruffling Loinnir's hand smiling softly at him.

He hadn't smiled at him in a long time or showed any type of kindness towards him. "Listen... Before we hit the road again... I want to tell you something..." He took a deep breath racking his own fingers through his short light colored hair.

Loinnir nodded slightly at Carter's words, sitting up and buckling his seat belt. So, whatever she had suffered had caused her death later on. He blinked at the ruffling, but he smiled softly at it. It was nice to receive some positive attention from his brother.

"What is it?" he asked, tilting his head just a little in question. He didn't know what Carter would have to say to him before something like this. His fingers lightly wrung the seat belt as he waited nervously, worried that his brother had something heavy to say.

He chuckled lightly at the cute look on his brother's face, his smile never faltering. "You know... I said not to bring last night up and all but..." He took another deep breath before he leaned over the divider and planted a soft kiss on his brother's lips. He then pulled away as quickly as he had placed the kiss on his lips. "I wanted to do that ever since last night..." he grinned slightly before he sat back down in his seat and put his car out of park and into drive before he pulled back on the road. A small flirty smirk crossed over his pale lips. In the back of his mind it was screaming at him telling him that it was wrong what he had just done.

But he didn't care. He did it anyways, man oh man was he going to hell.

A dark blush crossed Loinnir's cheeks at the sudden kiss from his brother, not having expected it. Like Carter had said, the subject wasn't supposed to be coming up in conversation and normally his brother always did what he said. He shook his head slightly with some amusement and he smiled softly.

"You call that a kiss?" he teased, cheeks still dark red from embarrassment and shock. He ran his hand through his hair as he leaned back in the seat, smiling slightly at the look on his brother's face.

Carter's smirk widened slightly as he released a soft chuckle looking at him from the corner of his eyes. "Well no I wouldn't... I can do so much better then that..." he turned his head and gave him a quick wink before he turned his attention back on the road. So far it had been a couple of hours since they been on the road and well the older's stomach was starting to growl lowly which caused him to groan lowly. He knew he was hungry. He missed breakfast. He sighed and looked over at his brother with a I'm hungry kind of look. "Hey you hungry? Cause I'm starving man!" He complained knowing full well that he sounded like a kid but he didn't care.

Loinnir flushed slightly at the wink and he shook his head in amusement before the conversation lapsed and he turned his attention out the window. He knew at some point breakfast, or lunch, was coming but he was quite capable of eating one meal a day and being perfectly fine. He smiled at Carter's words, glancing over at him.

"I was wondering when you'd suggest food," he said with a soft laugh, brushing his hair out of the way. "But, I swear if you choose some cheesy diner, you'll never be allowed to sleep again."

Carter snapped his head over and glared at the younger but sighed and nodded his head slowly. "Yes dear what ever you say..." He said in a very sarcastic kind of way and rolled his eyes before he turned his head back to the road ahead of him. His stomach growled once more which made his eyebrow twitch in and annoyed kind of way. Up ahead he saw a sign that had said a diner's name and that caused him to smirk. He was finally going to get food in his stomach.

Once they pulled up the older male parked his car and killed the engine. He turned his head once again at his brother and gave him a soft smile. "Well we're here..." he spoke softly.

Loinnir rolled his eyes at the glare and the words. "You are so touchy when you're hungry," he said with the barest smile. He sighed as he saw the diner coming up. Always a diner...his brother seemed to never be able to get enough of them when he never cared for them.

He smiled softly at his brother as he unbuckled. "So I see...want a prize for getting us here safely?" he teased gently before he turned red and looked away. The words had just kind of slipped out.

Carter arched an eyebrow at his brother's words before his flirty smirk came back on his face, he reached over and ran a finger down the younger males neck while he made his voice very husky and seductive. "Mm... So very tempting... Your skin is so soft..." he said in his very husky and seductive tone. He moved closer until his lips were right by Loinnir's ear. "How about I eat you up instead... Now wouldn't that sound like fun..." he chuckled huskily in his ear before he nipped it and pulled away.

"Well then shall we go inside then?" he asked in his normal tone of voice but his damn smirk was still there.
