(As in you just weren't expecting it.) Here's the three that I can think of. Can be either anime and/or manga series. [Note: This thread may contain spoilers.] Kekkaishi It just sort of came out of nowhere. Death Note I know I wasn't expecting Light to kill his own father. Angel Sanctuary I know that it's really early in the series (vol. 3 of the manga) but I saw the OVA before I read the manga (of which I have to start vol. 4) but I didn't think Sara was gonna die!
Yurusumaji Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Martian Successor Nadesico Gai Daigoji (Jiro Yamada). He's easily the best character and they plug him far too early. I still cry every time. Gurren Lagann Kamina. Did not see that shit coming. Again, best character, plugged too early.

But I feel that he's alive , hope he should make his comeback like this.
