I am trying to upload some photos to put on a theme I am working on but the size is considerably smaller once uploaded and thus the photo keeps repeating.

 

Are there any standard sizes for photos that I could use?

Or am I doing something wrong :/

 

I want to achieve the effect of being seen as 'seemless'.

I m note sure if i remember right but i belive the widh is 930 , someone correct me if im wrong

u do talk about the background pic on 'your page' right(?)

Yes I mean the background! Must it be 930 exactly? Because the images I am trying to upload are larger than that.

Yes, the width is 930. The length of the image will vary though.

 

I think it does have to be exactly 930.

I resized and reupload the image to 930 width but the background keeps repeating as if the image is way smaller

 

Actually, I saw no change in comparison to the pre-resized image (which was around 2k+ width).

 

What am I doing wrong?!

Hmmm. What are you using to upload the image?

 

And you're just using one image for the background right?

Yes, I am trying to use one image.

 

To upload the images, I go to an album and click on the "upload photos" button. I am not sure if that's what you are asking.

You need to upload the pic on imgur then copy paste the url link and it will work. (;

I uploaded to imgur as instructed...

 

However, when I save, exit and then reload the page, the image disappears and the background reverts to the previous color I had.

Nah nah easy, you know maybe you paste the wrong url link. Just try out and like Kohaku said make a screenshot.

Okay so... This is how the settings look before I change them.

 

 

 

I placed the URL at "Page Background". The width is 930.

 

 

 

I saved my settings. Here the image looks as it should.

 

 

 

After saving, I hit "Exit" and then reloaded my page. The background is gone and it reverted back to transparent as it can be seen on the first photo.

Hmmm....that is really strange.....I know it might sound dumb but if you remove that s in the https: does it do the same thing? I only ask cause everything you're showing is correct.

I am going to cry... I removed the 's' and the background finally shows! Ughhh >.
