“I want to visit the ocean and see fireflies cross the sea” honey admitted with a soft smile as he looked up at Vidar excitement in his eyes about his simple list as he touched his mates cheek lovingly. “I want to also look at the stars” he whispered trying to be careful of his horns so he didn’t stab his mate.

"I don't know if fireflies cross the ocean but we can go. We can go any wear and see the stars, well not the cities but how about the Northern Lights? That might be tricky since they only show up at certain times of the year."

“I’d like to see the glowing light they sound pretty” Honey whispered relaxing more against his mate.

[MRiceball]

"Okay, I'll try to find out when they are. I hope I can take you to them," he said softly before kissing him. "I'll work out how to get us to the beach soon. Maybe next week if I work really strong magic," he said with look of worry.

“I’m tiered...can I sleep please?” Honey asked his body exhausted already from the day clearly his health was a little downward as it started to get into the colder seasons. “I want to snuggle hem also” he mumbled already half asleep.

"Alright, but we'll need to go back. Think you can walk back with me, it's not far and I'll tuck you into bed and go get Hem for you okay?" Vidar asked with a soft smile.

“..okay” honey whispered standing up a little wobbly as he streatched feeling quite exhausted as he made his way slowly to the house.

Vidar helped his mate walk back through the portal and helped him into bed and kissed him softly. "I'll be right back," he said softly before leaving to get their son. "You're in luck," he teased softly when he returned with the young deer in his arms, "he's ready for his nap."

“Mmh He’s so big” honey whispered as he smiled and took his baby in his arms wanting to snuggle him all night long.

Vidar smiled then kissed him softly as he stroked his mate's hair then kissed the top of Hem's head. "I'll go speak with my grandmother, maybe she can help me get you to the sea with ease and find those lights for you."

“Be careful” honey whispered before instantly falling asleep as he snuggled hem closer liking that he didn’t have to do much since he clearly was getting older in years.

Vidar sighed as he walked to his grandmother's home and sat with her as he explained what Honey had told him. She comforted him and helped him plan out how to make Honey last season wonderful.

Honey continued to sleep deeply long after hem had woke up the small deer worried as he paced a little not knowing how short mums lifespan really was as he waited by the window for his father the sky slowly growing darker until he could seen nothing but the stars.

Vidar sighed as he returned home and began making their dinner before going to their bedroom. "Hey, did you sleep okay? I have dinner ready," he offered with a small smile then sighed. "If we wake him them we'll never get him back to sleep."

“Mommas been asleep for a long time” hem mumbled snuggled down worriedly beside honey who was quite peaceful in his sleeping state.

Vidar frowned as he walked over to the bed and brushed back Honey's hair. "Honey, mate. Wake up. I've fixed dinner. Wake up sweet heart."

“I’m tiered” honey mumbled curling up more under the covers as he looked up at Vidar sleepily. “Just feed hem..I’ll eat later”

"Honey.....Hem come tell mommy you love him and give him a kiss and then we'll have dinner together," He said to his young son and helped Hem up onto the bed so he could give his mother a kiss.

Hem nodded and snuggled honey giving him lots of kisses before going back and hugging dad as he snuggled into him ready for dinner.

Vidar had a little trouble but he carried Hem to the kitchen and set him down on the table before serving their dinner and sat next to him to help him with his meal. "Did you have lots of fun at grandmom's?"

“...moms really dying...right?” Hem asked the topic of death strange and slightly confusing for the deer as he moved and tucked his legs under his whole body like a loaf of bread. He frowned at looked at Vidar, “are you going to die also?”

Vidar swallowed then took a deep breath before hugging his son tightly. "Not for a long time. Different people don't live as long as others do," he said as he rubbed his son's back. "I hope I won't die till you're much older. Like Granny, she's very old but still has years ahead of her."

“Momma said I wouldn’t die because I take after you” hem replied gently as he snuggled into Vidar sad and scared at the same time. Meanwhile honey unknowing to Vidar and his son had already left and wandered deep out into the forest wishing to pass on his terms and away from his mate he knew would only grieve.

Granny was outside and saw Honey and joined him. "May I walk with you a bit? I know what's going on and I know my grandson would not want you out here alone to be eaten by other animals. If you would allow it I would like to cover you with flowers when the time comes."

“I would like that” honey mumbled as he continued walking knowing if he stopped he would be to tiered to continue moving the deer wanting to get pretty far away from their home.
