YaoiOtaku decided to open a thread for people who love music and love to write poems, or simply song lyrics. Giving the chance to show your feelings about the current theme and in general, how do you interpret it, we have picked a certain song. Based on its melody, you have to write down either a poem or a song lyrics. Of course, it's up to you how you name it, as long as you mention once "Countless" in the content. Rules Post only on poem/ song lyrics text. No vulgar words, no racism, no religious, no political, and no child/ animal abuse themes. Minimum 3 paragraphs, maximum 8 paragraphs. Do not use the name of the song we give you as a title to your poem/ song lyrics. The theme of your masterpiece can be about anything, depends on what feelings you get when you listen to the melody. Post the final result on this thread. Read the rules again, just in case. Prizes Each user that applies to "Music Box" contest will get 2,000 points. I put a spacing between the last line and the 8th para for the purpose of impact. The Truth Seeker Countless nights i spent awake Wondering, thinking without a break Of beautiful lies that hide bitter truth Like seeds hidden beneath layers of fruit Illusions that cast worries aside Blind us from seeing the incoming tide We are led to believe everything is alright What use is it then to stand and fight? I have scoured the earth, searching Through highs and lows, stumbling, lurching Desperate for the truth, a means of escape My voyages have left many jaws agape Yet no closer am i to my destination The more i run, the further gets my station The sands of time slip through my fist Weaker i grow, the inevitable approaching from the midst The more i uncover the deeper i sink Into the dark abyss, at insanity’s brink Too many lies, too much deception Where did they all start, what led to their inception? The countless stories you tell me to lull me to sleep. With the heat of your body behind me I fall into sleep dreaming of you. In there we can share our hopes and mischief in a world of light and joy. In the morning we rise after a night's rest, and my happiness shines reflected in your eyes. We start the day gazing into each other's eyes which always brings me a smile. The rest of the day follows in suit, that happens a lot when the love is new. The nightingales bathe us with their beautiful song, lightening our way. The day goes on in a beautiful haze, taking us from one point to the next. Without even noticing the evening came and we found ourselves home again. We chat and laugh while eating dessert, and then we prepare to go to bed.
