Do donators have ads removed?

I'm just wondering if donators, especially like patreon monthly donators, do they have ads removed? I currently have adblock on, I did try to use the site without it, but it's impossible.

 

It lags my whole computer, and firefox keeps telling me something isn't responding properly. I would be more than willing to donate each month, if ads on my account were removed. So that I can support the site, and be able to use it.

 

Otherwise, the site is unusable for me.

That is a good idea, those who donate to have the ads removed for that month. Until now Donators had only other features/benefits, as bigger inbox, bigger avatar and sig size, the Contributor/ Top Contributor/ VIP rank, credits depending on the donated sum, detailed activity in real time and access to YO's VIP download section (for the VIP).

 

But yeah, I like the idea, it's fair and I will implement it starting today for everyone donating over $5.

I just realized that if I do that, it won't go through until the first of the next month. Because of how Patreon works.

Will it be available to claim if I donated via paypal now?

It's strange but the reversed thing happend to me :/

I never really had ads in the middle of a thread in this forum, but ever since I donated, I'm seeing them '__'

The ad after the first and last post in a thread were always there, you probably didn't notice them. Also, as mentioned in the benefits from donating list (on the donation page) the small ads in threads and 1 ad in the sidebar of the homepage will be the only ads still viewable by those who donate, all the other ads being removed. These 3 ads are embedded in the forum template and I can't remove them for certain groups only.
