[08:25 P.M.]

In the specific instance of time in which humans realize their deepest, darkest inner desires, why is it that their rationality vanishes; their morals become clouded, or rather, nonexistent? Why do their minds yield to the vacuous holes that they themselves have created? It made him shake. There was a desire to relinquish his every control, to give into his body's vapid hunger, and to just escape into the unknown, hedonistic world that he's yet to even come close to experiencing.

Until now.

Seconds continued to past by, along with his patience waning thin from the silence that accompanied him after his question pertaining to whether or not he could have the oil, but more closely related to the fact that his arousal caused him questionable discomfort.

White vaporous puffs of breath drifted out of his panting lips, a flushed face that winced every so often as the throbbing member desperately required the attention--whether by the silverete himself or someone else entirely--completed with slender trembling thighs, and beads of clear fluid as they leaked out of his cock's slit. His flesh was soft and supple from the steaming bath, contrary to the increasingly twitching erection that hardened even more as his eyes subconsciously looked up and down at the pale backside seated before him. He was captivated by Alcor's body, and how those lean muscles flexed with each eye-turning movement that his brother made.

Needless to say, Souji definitely wasn't expecting to be seen in his little predicament, let alone to be pulled

hard and unceremoniously onto the elder's lap. Neither did he expect another arousal to join him in his one man parade. A cluster of emotions ripped at his chest from deep within as he watched his sensitive body fit perfectly against another's protective and firm embrace: confusion, fear, vulnerability, restlessness, that unidentifiable pain, uncertainty, and an unwavering lust.

What exactly were they doing?

They were brothers. They were brothers. And yet, despite another part of him screaming,"No. This is wrong. Stop," another part of him didn't mind.

It seemed to even want him to continue, to take action, to join his uncontrollable want in its quest for... whatever this was.

A lone hand gripped tight at the curve just before his plump ass, whilst their flushed bodies urged their erections together, followed by a sweet friction that made his stomach clench in delight. It was electrifying. Every inch of his body--from the top of his head to the tips of his toes--was scalding and overly responsive. His legs unwillingly spread themselves wide to accommodate the more muscular body between them; a movement done that sent the male's emotions into a frenzy as his clouded eyes and brain processed the position they were in.

"Souji," a husky, lust-filled voice murmured.

"Let me help you with that." To Souji, his statement was innocent, yet laced with deception.

A vacant hand then reached down between them, seizing their throbbing members and pumped them against each other, hand moving up and down, and maybe a bit too rough and fast for his little brother's first time in this situation. Water splashed everywhere. Souji couldn't help but moan lusciously as his back curved rapturously and his head slung back, resulting in their cocks rubbing more ferociously against each other's. His eyelids were shut tight, his mouth widening as unknown sounds of pleasure erupted from his throat, empty hands frantically searching for something to grip as he involuntarily left his control behind in the dust.

Images flooded his mind; erotic, mouthwatering, and taboo in every way. They raced in his mind and played at the front of his closed, silver hues, pleasure now not only building in his body, but in his mind as well. Then, no matter how much a part of him fiercely protested, he began to wonder. He wondered how Alcor would look, as his sweet, innocent little brother touched him in unimaginable ways. Fingers trying to clench all the way around the swollen girth of the elder's cock, but they can't because he's just that hard. His digits would slide all the way up, pressing over Alcor's plump flesh, over engorged veins. He imagined himself moaning in delight when his thumb finally reaches the swell of his brother's tip. The shape would be slippery with a hot, clear liquid, and he'd smear it around, slathering the other's length with his own fluids and pumping more out of him.

Unbeknownst to the younger, a hand had begun to snake down his back, two probing fingers pushing between his ass cheeks and meeting its goal as they poked around at the rim beneath the hot water. They rubbed at the spot slightly, but never pushing into his hole, and confusingly, to his dismay. A particularly hard squeeze to their slick members caused his eyes to snap open and widen significantly, a perceptible gasp ensuing just seconds after, along with the urge to place his own hands in their mess as well. It felt so stimulating that his knees shook.

"Ngh! Hnn..." The sensation was all too new, and all too wonderful to complain about.

He wanted more. And resistance seemed futile.

He wanted the fingers to be inside him. He wanted to see what it was like, how it felt to have something rummaging and probing in such a place. Would it feel good? Would it hurt?

Souji's gasping breaths and uncontrollable cries continued to escalate, growing louder and sultrier with each pump that his brother delivered to both their erections. His senses tingled, and his hearing seemed to grow sharper as all they seemed to pick up were Alcor's own carnal, pleasure filled groans and moans. Listening to them made him all the more impatient for more; more friction, more skin contact. He wanted that hand to move faster, to get rougher, to force him to the ending he so desperately desired.

"Hah..you're just as hard as me, Souji..Nn.."

Darkened silvery eyes peered at the mess between their abdomens, confirming the statement whilst watching his brother's hand become completely slathered with their mix of fluids as he pumped to his heart's content. Souji watched his brother's face contorting to ones that displayed just how much he was feeling, the sight causing a satanic shudder to rip through Souji's entire body, lust taking control over his entire being.

Then... then... he couldn't take it anymore.

He didn't care about the consequences. It was irrational. It wasn't him. But he didn't care.

He just... went wild.

The hands that he can no longer call his own reached forth simultaneously, planting themselves on top of both their erections, resulting in the foreign hands quickly becoming drenched in the clear fluid that continued to squelch and leak out of their sensitive tips. As those hands began to take charge; teaming up with Alcor's hand to pump, push, pull, and tease, Souji convulsed, the little moans of ecstasy skyrocketing into deafening, masculine cries.

"Ahh! Ngh... Brot- Why can't I...stop...?"

His back bent in a sensual curve, body glistening in clear fluid, sweat, and water, legs trembling and spreading wider than he'd ever thought possible, hands moving about in a deranged motion between their abdomens, and his control completely gone.

Dirty thoughts continued to consume his mind, escalating to much more sinful deeds, much to his fear at who he was becoming, yet also to his delight; imagination running wild as he let the high consume him. Souji imagined how his brother's eyes would turn a shade darker, control slipping with each moment as he stared at the slender body slowly impaling himself on the massive cock; Souji's reddening, tight hole being stretched to its limits, and being filled as he willingly gave away his innocence. How his expression would morph into one of barely controlled animalistic desire, while the younger male precariously experimented hesitantly, yet surely on his body.

Then Alcor would groan, eyes rolling to the back of his head, his sanity slipping as he was taken in all the way to hilt.

The theater in his head refused to end.

A hand removed itself from the mess between their abdomens. It reached back and quested its way downward beneath the hot water, slowly, as it ventured towards its goal, trying to feel for the two slender fingers still probing around the silverete's hole. Souji was curious. Oh so curious, and even though he knew that curiosity killed the cat, he still believed that it's also what made the world go round. When he found those fingers, he knew that there was only one thing that he wanted to do with them. The hand gently grabbed them, and positioned them to where Souji thought it was just right, pointing to where he wanted them to be.

Panting gasps increased, his eyes glazing over with fervent lust as he hungered for those fingers. For them to-

"Hah... Nn. Augh!"

The digits slid all the way in, Alcor's long fingers forcefully being stuffed knuckle deep as Souji continued to

push them inside, emotions exploding and tears threatening to fall at the foreign objects that made him so full.

It was painful, and it made him want to cry. But... why did he... want it so badly?

Souji hesitated to move, because the sensation was sultrier and more real than he could have imagined. The young man leaned forward, and pressed their sweaty foreheads together, breathing steadily as he rolled his hips slightly on his brother's fingers while the pleasurable tingle of something coming stung the tip of his cock.

However, it wasn't enough. He didn't know what that something was, but he wanted it.

And he wanted it... with him.

He took in Alcor's appearance, wanting to take in the man's ever changing expressions, along with his smell, his eyes, his nose, his tempting lips...his whole existence, everything. Reason being that he wanted to savor this moment, to record it in his memories for eternity, knowing fully well that it will never happen again.

Souji lurched forward suddenly, gently removing his brother's hand and replacing it with his own, indicating that he wanted to be the lone hand that led them to their... ending. His left hand circled around both their erections, while his right arm swerved around the other's back. A silver head rested on the elder's shoulder, decreasing their bodies' distance immensely, and bringing the two siblings closer than they've ever been before.

"I... want you to keep your fingers in there," Souji gently demanded as he whispered softly into his brother's ear, voice laced with sexual desperation accompanied with sincere affection. Then he began pumping, his face now staring straight into his brother's equally silver eyes. The up and down movement gradually increased as each second passed by, growing fiercer with each new pump that the younger sibling delivered. He continued to rock his body vigorously on his brother's fingers, his passionate cries and silent moans resonating throughout the entirety of the tiled room, growing closer and closer to what might be called his blissful end.

"I-" Souji cried, "Broth-Ngh! I'm sorr-"

He's scared. Their relationship. Will Alcor leave him now?

Fingernails scratched and grazed and tore down Alcor's flesh, leaving angry red streaks, ones that Souji would definitely apologize for profusely, yet regret for marring his brother's silky skin. As the constant pleasure continued to pressure into his body, he can feel his prostate tightening, his cock throbbing harder as he feels his blood pulse through it. It was like he was on a tall, tall roller coaster and climbing to the top of the highest peak.

Will he disappear?

The anticipation and the obvious looming incredible amount of pleasure caused his heart rate to change, and he felt like a rock as a few strong twitches upward lead to a sudden burst of liquid; white, hot, sticky seed flowing out of his tip in spurts. Souji's mind couldn't register anything but the intensely overwhelming pleasure, like a bright flash of light in the middle of the dark.

Will he hate him?

The boy arched up towards the ceiling, his eyes unfocused and blurry, as a fiery explosion of white stars clouded his vision. He screamed to God as he released all over their abdomens, taut ass clenching and contracting tightly around his brother's fingers; the hand still rapidly pumping their cocks tried to tightly ball into a fist, unintentionally squeezing them in the process as pearl shaped tears fell from his eyes.

Short puffs of breaths could be heard coming from Alcor's mouth, and Souji notices--surprisingly while he's still cumming--how the white head's eyes are closed, along with furrowed brows and trembling lashes.

An earth shattering shudder, followed by a curling of his toes as Souji cums harder from watching his brother release a furious orgasm. And even harder--if that's even possible--from the shivery moan that Alcor had made from the aftermath, as hot liquid sprayed on their bodies and into the water, glistening off their inner thighs, stomach and chest in the luminous light and making them the epitome picturesque.

...Will he not need him anymore?

[8:45 PM, Storming]

The smile that Yosuke was sure had disappeared entirely and forever, finally reappeared as a small, thin upturn of the corners of his mouth. It wasn’t his bright smile, but it was enough. After all, how could he not smile at poor Hibiki? The other had almost gotten away with it. He had almost gotten away with Yosuke not knowing he was crying. The rain had done good job of masking his tears, but there was no denying those red, puffy eyes.

“Are you crying?” Yosuke walked closer to the other, covering both of them with the umbrella that simply wouldn’t prevent them from getting wet. “You’re a man, aren’t you? Don’t cry anymore,” he said softly, sweetly, affectionately. He was scared that if he spoke any louder his friend would break into a million pieces, form more cracks than were already there. How could this man, this kind, sweet man who Yosuke was sure was as fragile as a vase (and to an extent still thought that) be involved in the criminal world?

“Come on.” He took Hibiki’s wrist in his hand and dragged him along, eventually breaking out into a run to escape the piercing raindrops. “I woke up late this morning and forgot my umbrella. So really this my second time getting soaked today. Sorry for uhhh… Being a jerk back there and not sharing.”

He had treated Hibiki wrongly, and he knew that. He should have sat down and listened to him, been a good friend, and tried to see where he was coming from. Instead, he threw a temper tantrum, attacked him, and acted as if he were the worst person on earth.

And for that, he was sorry. He was so, so sorry.

Finally, after what felt like eternity, the rain was behind them and they were in the comfort and safety of the dormitory. Yosuke hurried them to their room, tossing the umbrella to the side once they were in, and sighing heavily.

“Finally. Finally, we’re home….”

The weight of the day fell from his shoulders, and he refused to speak or even think about everything that had occurred. It was too much for him. Too much for his body. Too much for his mind. The exhaustion caught up to him and he flopped down on the couch without caring how wet he was or caring how it might annoy Hibiki. He would deal with it tomorrow.

“Just deal with everything tomorrow….” He mumbled, throwing his arm over his eyes and settling deeper into the couch. Though he couldn’t stay that way. He hardly cared about the couch, but if his body continued to sit idle, soaked from head to toe, there was no way he could avoid the inevitable sickness that would follow.

He flew off the couch and tore off his sweater in one swift motion. Next came his light t-shirt, which he hung up in the bathroom over their shower. The long, fluffy scarf that was given to him found it’s way there as well; Yosuke seemed to have forgotten that water could easily get into the open bag.

Not only did he forget that, but in the excitement he forgot his bike at school.

“Done. So done.”

With his face hidden in his hands he wandered aimlessly around the dorm, at one point thinking he would find food and at another point thinking he would just go to his room. There was nothing else to do, nothing to say, nothing to feel. The day had taken it’s toll on Yosuke and he didn’t dare want to give it the opportunity to ruin him again by staying awake.

Yet, there was something else he had forgotten. Something else he had left behind the moment he left the school.

“Hibiki,” he called, leaning against the wall wearing only his pants, his socks, and the rainwater that he failed to dry off of himself. “Are… Are you holding up okay? That was… Intense to say the least.”

[8:45 PM] [storming]

They continued for a while, Hibiki in front of the other. It didn’t take long however for the droplets to stop falling when an umbrella covered him partly. He huffed at what the other said and pouted. “I am not crying. It’s the rain.” He lied and looked away. God, just let him believe that. Hibiki didn’t want to be seen like that. Yet his body and mind betrayed him. Cursed emotions. Before he could even try to justify himself more, he was dragged along and rain started hitting him again. Over the splashing sounds of the water as well as the roaring of the storm and the cars it was hard to understand Yosuke. But he got the gist of it and just gave a reassuring pat to the others back. The secretary didn’t want to shout against the storm. Hopefully Yosuke will at least notice what he wanted to say. At first, Hibiki was really a bit hurt but who could be angry towards him? If he were in Yosuke’s shoes he would have run away long ago. Not sharing an umbrella was the least of the action he could have used.

Thankfully however they soon arrived at the dorm and then their small apartment. At first Hibiki stood like a drenched dog at the entrance. He was actually thinking about how to go about them being drenched. But his decision was taken from him when Yosuke flopped down on their couch. Obviously he shouldn’t care but the freak in him let him release a low grumble. In the end, he couldn’t say anything and trotted towards the bathroom. Slowly peeling his clothes from his body, he was as well only left in pants and socks. Yosuke soon invaded the bathroom and hung up his drenched clothing and his new, now drenched, scarf. Hibiki’s own was still safe in his arms. It was amazing that he was able to keep it dry. It was just slightly damp so he did the same as Yosuke and hung it over their shower. Before he decided to do anything else he disappeared into his room, the door still open, and retrieved new pants and two towels.

“Here, Yosuke.” He said and placed one of the towels on the couch table, the other was for himself and Hibiki returned to the bath. Getting rid of the last of his clothing and dressing himself in the new ones, he finally released a sigh. Their whole apartment was full of water puddles now and the couch needed to be cleaned after this too. While his roommate started pacing around, the secretary stared at the mess they made. Actually he didn’t want to do anything about it right now too. It was just so tiring. But to get his mind out of the gutter he decided to at least mop up the puddles. Before he could get his equipment a voice stopped him. “…I think, yeah.” He gave a vague answer to the other. Actually, he himself wasn’t sure. Hibiki couldn’t even comprehend why he didn’t break down yet. Any other would have done that in his situation or not? His mind is muddled and his body like lead. Yet he isn’t sleepy. He is just…..tired. In both, body and mind. He can’t bring himself to just ‘rest’. It wasn’t in his nature. He had to do something or he might lose himself. “I am just….tired, is all. How are you?” he asked with a meek voice and looked towards the other.

While waiting for an answer, he made his way towards the kitchen area and looked into the fridge. Though he wasn’t sure if he could get even one bite down his throat, it wasn’t healthy to skip a meal so he collected some ingredients to make a small dinner. Something to warm them up. Roasted potatoes maybe or just a plain pizza from the freezer. Deciding that it was at least a bit healthier then pizza, he started making roasted potatoes. Maybe he should add bacon to it. But that would probably be like stones in their stomachs and they wouldn’t be able to sleep. Well whatever, bacon always made things better and if Yosuke didn’t want any then he would gladly take them. Hibiki didn’t even think about it, if Yosuke was even hungry. But since he was making something for himself anyway, why shouldn’t he make more if Yosuke wanted some too.

[08:50 P.M.]

Control. That had been -still is- one of the necessary things that orbited Alcor's world, even since he was little. It was necessary for many things, most important of it all was his protecting of Souji. He'd gotten an early start on cultivating control, on himself and on others. Developed it as he grew even if it meant sacrificing some of the things that people his age stated were all a need.. such things being romance and sexual exploration. He hadn't completely abstained from them, but they were low on his priority list, only being sated last year when a freshman had boldly made a move on him.

What happened between them had never really needed much thought. There had been no deeply seated affection and only just vague feelings of comfort and familiarity. They explored each other only because it brought them momentary relief from their own responsibilities. They liked each other enough and it was convenient, nothing much more than that.

How the other would moan, arch, grind and pant would make him hot but they didn't stir his core. Didn't really make him feel anything other than the want to couple.

Alcor had been naive to think that it was how he just was when it came to sex. And oh how he paid the price now; watching how Souji just broke out of his shell and revealed something extremely sexual inside. Like all his indifference had accumulated him a being that was all raw passion and lust. It hit the eldest to the core, piercing and twisting, melting his very bones as the slender silverete just broke through every wall of control he had. And Alcor surged back just as intensely, rationality floating away in careless flaps of iron wings.

He groaned as petite hands joined his own, pumping just as determinedly and curiously. His eyes feasted on Souji's clouded look, his face softening in such a blissful expression that Alcor just knew something else was going on inside that lust-addled mind. He wondered what his younger brother thought with those lidded eyes and half open mouth. Did he think of what it would be like to have Alcor inside of him? Did he think of what he would look like impaled with such a massive length? Did he think how badly the white-head just wanted to consume him?

But then one soft hand went back to rest against his probing fingers and Alcor had the sudden -despairingly- thought that Souji would pull his fingers away, would make him stop the only thing that made him remember his control. Then his fingers were forced inside and Alcor just moaned out in surprise; loud and uninhibited. God.. it was so warm, so so very soft, incredibly tight, and oh so wonderfully twitching. It broke him at how his want had become need.. how the thought of him going inside such..exquisite place sent shivers and goosebumps running up and down his flushed and wet skin.

And when Souji slapped his had away, to replace it with his own.. Alcor saw red.

"I... want you to keep your fingers in there," The younger had said and the eldest complied, pushing his fingers in deeper, parting them to stretch the greedy hole before slowly pulling them back only to push back in. He let his other hand wander, sure and confident, without a hint of doubt, running along the softness that was Souji's torso. He pinched his nipples, rubbing them with his thumb and forefinger as he roughly added a third inside; fucking them in and out swiftly as if to perhaps compensate to what will never be given to him.

Alcor's afraid. He couldn't think and just moved. He's afraid in his haze he would take and claim and he knew that if he did, Souji would submit. That he would allow him to defile him.. would probably even enjoy it.. would probably make himself bounce on his lap with giddy pleasure as he was filled over and over until his legs were too tired to even support himself. And Alcor was afraid that he might not be able to stop himself from making the other do just that.

But he shouldn't.. because.. because he needed to protect his brother, not make him sin. Because he was so in love with him that he'd be willing to give his freedom in exchange so that Souji had his.

Silver eyes widened before immediately clenching shut as his climax arrived.

He was in love with him.

The realization crashed around the fog that consumed his mind and with it came mind numbing clarity. He needed to get out.

So he stood, letting Souji drop gently back into the water before his hasty feet took him back to his room; doors closing with a heavy slam and an even heavier click of lock -because he had never done that.. never locked his doors because there were nights that Souji needed the touch of comfort- as Alcor's still soaking form slid to the carpeted floor.

What had Souji done to him? What had he become?

And finally, the tears came, silent compared to the storm that raged outside his windows.

[8:50 P.M]

"Brother..."

Souji had said the name to verify the reality of it all, of what he'd just done, of how Alcor had looked when he was to leave his little brother alone in the room in which the act that they had just committed took place.

He's left dumbstruck as he felt his body move as if it had a mind of its own. Souji's silvery eyes locked onto the naked form of his brother, beautiful and handsome in all of its glory, yet absolutely heartbreaking to look at. The youngest's nails clawed at the floor of the hot tub beneath the water, defiled by his own sinful actions, and before he knows it, he's up and running out the door with a towel in hand, also naked in all of his depressing glory.

"Brother!" His mouth moves without his permission, voice hoarse from all the sounds that he had involuntarily made just a moment ago, sounds that should have never been directed towards Alcor, sounds that never should have left Pandora's Box.

"Brother, please! Stop!" He cries out to the running figure desperately, his bare, slippery feet now sliding against cold marble, his legs magnetized towards the white head's direction. He's too far away though, and either he doesn't hear Souji, or he doesn't want to listen to his pathetic apologizes at all, and it frustrated him. Flailing arms ensue, and the screams get louder, throat turning raw.

"Stop! I beg you! I'm sorry!" Souji shouts at the top of his lungs, the sounds echoing throughout the hallways of the manor, and he's now running, sprinting frantically towards him in tow. Despite his limbs feeling so startlingly cold, that they feel like they'll soon become frozen solid statues in time, he didn't give an ounce of care, because it's his older brother. Despite him being as naked as the day he was born, he didn't give an ounce of care, because it's Alcor. Despite the fact that he was most likely to be avoided, shunned and hated, even though he knew that Alcor wasn't like that, because he was kind, caring, loving, affectionate, silly, and everything that was divine in this world, he didn't give an ounce of care, because it's him.

He's panting out heavy breaths, grunting and gasping for oxygen, as sweat forms along his brow and mixing with the hot water still dripping droplets from his lithe body and silvery hair. There's nothing he could do as he watches his loved one run away from him as if he's a monster, drift away from him like a leaf floating on the ocean, leaving him alone like he was jailed in solitude, and leaving him behind to drown in his own pit of despair and misery.

"Wait! I-!" A door slams, rattling its hinges and resonating through the silent and terrifyingly desolate hallways as the pure person Souji's defiled escaped from the tips of his trembling fingernails.

He's too late.

And yet, he didn't want to give in. He didn't want to think of this as the end.

He's not done.

The metal doorknob begins to rattle as a pale hand tentatively takes hold of it, shaking it ever so slightly as the young male tried to coerce the elder out from the darkening loneliness in his room, or let him into it.

"Please open the door. Please... Please," the silverete begs, his voice beginning to crack in desperation. He shakes the door again, this time threatening its demise if Alcor didn't do anything about it. The storm continued to rage outside the manor, growing stronger and stronger, as if it knew the destruction he had wrought against their precious relationship and wanted to rub salt on their wounds.

The curse of this apathy was so vexing to the core, that all he wanted to do was reset and start over and pretend this never happened. When he'd touched his brother in a way that brothers should never touch, he had been so engrossed and out of control, it was so fulfilling, pleasurable - it was ecstasy. Their comfortable and safe flames were fanned by him, and then he'd ended up like a self-loathing arsonist with a simple match in one hand and a light to fuel the fire in the other that desired for everything to be charred and burned. He'd ripped away every ounce of hope for them to ever continue as they were; he was a criminal to their future, to Alcor's future.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry... I won't touch you. I just want to be in same room as you. I promise. I won't touch you. Please... I... I told you before didn't I? At the beach? Do you remember? Do you even hear me? Please don't go. Please don't leave me. Please don't hate me..." His words were impotent, his voice was cracking, his frustration was so palpable that it would only be just a few seconds before he thinks of attempting to bust that door down right from its frame, even at the cost of one of his limbs. Hoping that it was just the storm that restricted Alcor from hearing him didn't do much to help his agony.

The youngest jerks the heavy door once more with as enough strength as he could muster, before releasing as it clatters in its enormous frame. A palm rested against the wooden frame, the urge to persuade overtook him, but slowly died once he realized the reality of it all, the reality of the consequences that he must accept. His body ached, his heart burned, his mind raced, his legs shook from the impact of his sins, his breathing escalated, and all he could even do at that precise moment was drop his soaking form to the frigidness of the marble flooring with a soft thud.

Souji was the kind of sad where his mouth automatically curved into a frown and his insides twisted, knotted, pierced, and churned with unrelenting unease. He was the kind of sad where his delicate lips began to tremble and his body began to feel weighted and burdened and useless. He was the kind of sad where tears started streaming down his face and the heat of their trails could be felt throughout the entirety of his flushed cheeks. He was being broken apart and torn piece by piece and he was losing even more control of himself - that was how sad he was.

The world turned sideways as his exhaustion overcomes him, stripping him of every ounce of energy he'd carried, as he lays out his naked body next to the barrier that separated Alcor and him. To be lying here in the silence of it all causes him to sink feel less and less until he can feel human again, until he can hear nothing but the violent storm that parallels his distress and feel it envelope him like a warm hug. He wants it to absorb the burdens that he's placed upon himself and release the constraints of his life, because he's become too fragile to fight much more.

It was his only choice, and it was a punishment fit for for someone as corrupt as he was. He wanted everything to be muffled, muted, nonexistent, gone, besides the raging storm, because instead of the heartbeats that he wanted, the storm had to suffice, despite it being more of jail cell than a home. The desire to not be able to speak nor feel claimed his being, the feeling of emptiness and vacancy was what was left of his emotions.

His pearl-shaped tears continue to fall, the droplets clean and clear yet full of dirtiness as they slid sideways from the corner of his unfeeling eyes and onto the marble, like dew drops sliding off greenery. A motionless hand accompanies him next to his head, palm up with a pure, white towel situated upon it.

His eyes sunk below the soft, loving blanket of his eyelids, with his mind completely immersing in the quietness of it all, leaving his problems behind. As he falls victim to constriction, he desired to be senseless, to be numb...

...to be asleep.

It was a loaded question. “How are you?” Most people lied when that question was asked, and Yosuke was no exception. He often lied when he asked that; he couldn’t think of a time when he actually told the truth. Even if he were ecstatic, over the moon, he would tone it down when someone asked how he was. It was stupid question to ask when the entire world knew the answer would inevitably be a lie. But for Hibiki and the night that they had… He could be honest. Just this once.

“I’m tired as well. You know, the tired that sleep can’t really take care of. That kind of tired.” They both were feeling that way. He knew that Hibiki, having kept his secret all this time, was exhausted. He was tired. He wanted to rest and perhaps, now that Yosuke knew the truth, he could. Maybe some anxiousness would be lifted off of the other man. Maybe he would open up about his past… Not that Yosuke wanted to know. He didn’t want to know anything that went on on Hibiki’s past, but he would never turn away the other if he came looking for an ear to tell his tale.

And as for Yosuke… Well… He was used to this. He was used to these unfortunate things happening to him. He was used to unpleasant surprises, though this was the most surprising thing that had ever happened to him. Still, he knew that he would find a way to cope, to move on, to somehow grow his big, wide smile back on his face and be the stupid, silly, fun-loving dork everyone knew him to be.

Somehow.

“Dude, your hair is still all wet.” While Hibiki cooked--Yosuke was not the least bit hungry--the brunette approached him and wrung out his long, raven hair. He giggled a bit, tickled at the thought that now the dorm was even messier. He was shocked that Hibiki hadn’t already grabbed a mop and started cleaning it up.

“There you go. Better the water on the floor than in your hair. You don’t wanna get sick.”

He sat down again, closing his eyes as the apartment slowly filled with the smell of bacon and potatoes. Hibiki was an amazing cook; it was something Yosuke had quickly learned to appreciate living with him. While Yosuke himself wasn’t the worst cook on earth, he certainly wasn’t the greatest, and he was most definitely not better than Hibiki.

“I can’t eat a bite, man. But save mine? I’ll eat it tomorrow.” He stood, instantly regretting allowing the dorm to turn into a swimming pool. It would be even worse come morning… The water damage might be bad enough for them to have to pay for the repairs at the end of the semester.

Well… He would cross the bridge when he came to it.

“Go to sleep,” he told Hibiki, slowly making his way to his own bedroom. “Who knows? Maybe when morning comes you’ll realize all of this was a dream. Maybe, just fucking maybe, you never even did anything wrong in your past. Maybe you’ll wake up tomorrow morning and laugh hard about the dream you had where you were a thug once upon a time, and then you’ll quickly get ready for school because god forbid you be late.

And maybe I’ll wake up and never even know about your dream where you did such a bad things. Maybe I’ll wake up and never know you were suffering all this time.”

He gave Hibiki one more sad, longing look, a look that held the hope that maybe this was all truly just dream but at the same time knowing that the things they spoke about, the things that were revealed, were just as real as the heart beating steadily in his chest.

“Anything’s possible, right?”

And with that Yosuke slid into his room, shut the door behind him, and fell into bed.

[9:00 PM]

The sizzling of the frying pan calmed his strained nerves. Cooking has always been a good way to cool down. And considering what happened, it was needed. If fate would have been nice for once then he would have been swallowed by a dark pit. Seriously, that would have avoided most of the trouble. Hibiki even wondered why he was still alive, given all the bad luck that followed like a line through his life. But well, maybe that was also one of lives schemes. Now he could only hope that everything would go well and Yosuke would be able to trust him again. The secretary just knew that even though he might have forgiven him for lying, but the other was still afraid of him in a way. It was just a feeling though. Or maybe his mind wanted him to believe that no one would fully accept him how he really is.

Before he could drift off into these thoughts again however when he felt hands gathering his raven locks and wringing them. Slight drops of water trickled to the ground, staining the wood flooring at another place. Actually he didn’t care if he got sick; it wasn’t like wet hair disturbed him. But what he cared about was the new puddle on their floor. “Thanks but now we have a whole track in our apartment.” he said, eyeing the puddles leading from the front entrance, towards the bathroom and the couch and now also at the kitchen area. The longer he stared, the harder it was for him to just ignore it. He didn’t want to pay the repair bills after all. So he mentally decided to wipe it up after eating dinner. One catastrophe was enough for today, they didn’t need another.

“Sure…” he said but trailed off; he kept his lips locked from saying that it wasn’t healthy. For now he didn’t want to appear like a mother. If he didn’t get anything down then he would leave Yosuke alone. Forcing things wasn’t the right way after all. “Yeah, everything’s possible…” he agreed but not even a small smile was set on his face. As soon as the door to his roommate’s room closed, he added in a small mumble “…but it’s never that easy. Never…” and stared at the potatoes and the bacon that continued to fry on the stove.

Safely tucking aside Yosuke’s share into the refrigerator, the secretary sat down on the high kitchen counter that also served as their dining table if they didn’t use the couch table. With slowly and small bites he started eating, still not really hungry. But he continued eating, knowing that he would regret it. If he didn’t eat he would probably wake up during the night and won’t be able to sleep. It already happened so he forced his serving down his throat. After eating and disposing of the dish in the sink, he collected the mop from the bathroom and wiped every puddle up. Hibiki couldn’t bring himself to care for the couch. He just wiped it down rather roughly to get the most of the water out of it. The rest could dry itself. With a tired sigh, he cleared up the mop and made his way towards his own room.

Before also disappearing behind it and sinking into a deep slumber he glanced towards Yosuke’s door for a few seconds before muttering “Good night….” and disappearing behind the wooden door.

[08:55 P.M.][Alcor's Room]

Broken. That was how he felt, how everything just went to pieces, how he just trembled at the catastrophe of emotions that came at him, tearing him apart piece by piece and just leaving everything a big bloody mess. He wanted to ignore Souji's cries.. wanted to be selfish and be alone to protect his weak and fragile heart.. to keep himself from completely breaking down.. to let himself fight these feelings that he had for the younger Seta.. to hide how his heart bled with how much he just felt for the other.

But he couldn't. COULDN'T. He was weak. Wasn't strong enough to ignore his one precious person. Had too much love that it was physically painful to hear Souji cry behind his locked doors.

So he opened them, enveloped the naked teen in his arms and gently rested him in his bed. And Alcor broke even more to see how Souji just.. relaxed in his sleep, surrounded by everything that smelled of the eldest. And the overwhelming want to just slide in too and hold the other and never let go came at him so intensely he almost fell to his knees with just the barest of resistance.

He needed to let all those emotions out. So he headed to the only place that he could; on the small stool in front of his piano.

The black polish of the wood gleamed against the evening light outside, flashing momentarily as lightning ignited the mourning sky. Then slowly, almost reverently, trembling fingers began to play white and black keys. And Alcor let go. Let the music and song immerse him into the ocean that was his emotions. He didn't care if Souji woke up.. didn't care that he was still dripping now with cold water.. or even that fact that he was still naked.. He didn't care.. He just let everything else fade besides the onslaught of repressed feelings.

"

Boku wo hitsuyou tte itte yo

"

He began, voice soft and steady, silvery eyes closed and body gently swaying as the words came and he couldn't stop them even if he wanted to.

"
Kotoshi mo irodzuita cosmos ga

Mahou ni kakerareta youni

Kimi ni koishita kisetsu

Nanimo ienai mama no mainichi ga

Kimi no hontou no kimochi wo

"

He remembered his first memories, how silent he had been as an infant, how Theodore had shown him the video of the first word he'd said. How he'd said it so clearly and without falter.. how he had looked so happy.. how his eyes had been big and glittered like what he saw and said made sense.. how he vaguely remembered the warmth of a small hand that clutched his own.

'Souji.' He had said, one year and a half month old.. sounded like the universe was finally revolving right. Then he had smiled, gummy mouth showing with one growing tooth as he gazed at what would become his entire world. At someone he had already fallen in love, the moment he had laid eyes on him.

Then the tears came, soft and flowing oh so gently out of closed lids.

"

Kimi ga omou ijou ni

Boku wa kimi dake nanda yo

"

But he continued, despite the cold, despite the tears, despite the pain, despite the anguish.. because he needed to.. because he treasured the memories that came.. because he loved; plain and simple.

He remembered their first time riding a bike.. how Souji had been so terrified.. how he'd clutched at Alcor's hand while pedaling and how Alcor had enjoyed every moment of it, until he let go and Souji went further away, only realizing that he'd let go once his steering had wobbled.. how Souji had cried and said that he'd thought Alcor had been there all along.. how the younger had said to never leave his side.. and how Alcor had remained there since then.

A sob came, soft and quiet, drowning in the hiss of falling rain.

"

Nani wo shite mo afuredashite shimaun da yo

Kimi to no kioku

Amai koe wo kikasete yo

Boku no namae wo yonde yo

Wasuretakunai kimi dake no neiro
"

It hurt. It fucking hurt how, no matter what he did, society would look down and shun what he felt. How it pained to know that he would never be accepted just because he loved.. just because he felt.. just because he fell. He wanted to shout it.. to tell the world that it can just go and fuck itself.. that, that was who he was.. that he wanted it.. that he'd gladly drown in it.. but he couldn't. Wouldn't let the world hurt Souji just for Alcor's selfishness.. would smile and hide away the tears the moment his brother found someone else.. would back away and hide the hurt behind a happy smile when he was no longer needed.. would still show that he could live without the other, no matter how the thought killed him inside.. how it just gripped his being and squeezed until all the breath and blood inside him were all gone.

How he would endure just for the one he loved.

"

Nani wo utsuseba ii no

Kisetsu ga donna ni sugisatte mo

Kimi shika aisenai

. . . . .

Tatta hitotsu negai ga kanau no nara

"

Self-centeredly, he didn't want any of those to happen. He wanted Souji as his.. wanted the other to want that too.. wanted to forget society and its cruelty so that they could just be.. wanted to forget about the world and just immerse himself in the magnificent being that was his younger brother. He wanted.. to be loved by him, just as intensely as Alcor loved him..

Fingers curled, black nails barely making any scratch at the keys, just as tears came free-falling on pale knuckles.

He wanted to shout, wanted to demand why such a cruel fate.. why even take the one emotion that would have made him selfishly happy with someone else.. why even make him feel it when in the end he'd just hurt.. why, even in this aspect of his life, was the control taken away from him.. why did he love Souji like this..

"
Kimi ga omou ijou ni

Boku wa kimi dake nanda yo

Owari ni shinaide kono omoi wo

Dare yori aishiteru
"

The trembling figure stood, white damp locks obscuring agonized eyes as he headed to stand beside the sleeping figure of his beloved brother. He leaned down, one shaking hand, cupping a pale cheek tenderly, lovingly, as if it was made of fragile glass and said hand was something extremely dangerous that could break it at any moment's notice.

The tears kept falling.

"Aishiteru..." Were the soft whispered words before trembling lips met relaxed pink ones. "Aishiteru."

Then Alcor headed to his dresser. He could at least put some clothes on them, knowing that he'd just spend the rest of the night watching Souji sleep.

And outside the storm continued to rage.

[6:04 A.M][Alcor's Room][Chilly]

Souji was conscious, though his eyes wanted to forget what it was like to see the light of day, and thus, stayed close. He didn't want to open them. If he opened them, it'd be admitting the happenings of yesterday, it'd be admitting how much of a fool he had been, it'd be admitting what they had done, what he had done to his own brother. Opening his eyes would be admitting that it was real. He desired for time to turn back, as if a magical clock would hear his silent, desperate pleas and grant them.

He felt weightless, and as empty and cold as the night before, where'd he just fallen for the deep ruse of sleep because he did wake up today, and he's feeling again.

There's a hand on his own. He knows who's it is. He would know that hand from anywhere. It's the hand that helps him stand up when he falls. It's the hand that loves to caress his cheeks. It's the hand that's always there. It's the hand that encases his own in a warmth unmatched by any other. It's the hand that brushes away his silent tears. It's the hand that touched him in a way that brothers shouldn't. It's the hand that helped him into bed. It's the hand that he loves. It's the hand that belongs to him. It's the hand that's home.

It's the hand that he never wants to let go of.

It's the hand that might very well disappear from his grasp soon.

There he laid on the soft, satin bed sheets, the room's scent persuading him to tranquilize his thoughts and relax in a blissful numbness once again. The smell of him was just another pleasantry that pained him, yet healed him. His eyes were still tightly shut, and oh how he wished that this was just a dream. Any moment now, he'd wake up to the fruity dulcet tones, the gentle, soulful eyes, and the dazzling smile that always manages to entrap him. As time passed and the exhaustion within was too apparent, he realized that this was no dream, because this was in fact, the cruel reality that he must accept.

As he lifted his heavy eyelids, his own hand was the first thing that he saw. It had looked clean and pure, but no; the only words that could be used to describe it were dirty and impure. The next thing he saw were clothes. Had Alcor put them on for him?

Souji then lifted himself up from the confines of his brother's bed, and as he stared at the sorrowful form of a person knocked out on the ground with a large hand gripping tightly at his own, a recollection of the night before began to fill his mind; memories of panting breaths, pleasure filled moans and groans, their naked, sweaty bodies, the eroticism, Alcor's expressions, his voice, their climax, and the aftermath of the destruction he had wrought upon their relationship. He stared into space for a few seconds, trying to collect himself as he reworked the mechanics of his mind. His brain was trying to repair itself from the damage that he so carelessly caused, all because his control let lust and the excitement and the need break through its walls.

He tried to get closer towards the sleeping form, whilst being careful as to keep his hand in place, because any sudden movements might cause the disturbance that is awakening. Silver hues fixated themselves upon his brother's peaceful expression, and they took care to notice the slow, steady breaths in which he exhaled.

How does one accumulate this much heartache, this much gut-wrenching, painful sorrow within? Despite staring at the only man who he's ever...loved... Love? Love. Love.

What kind of love was this?

Despite being able to be so close to the man he's ever felt this way for, that pain, there was a sadness that washed over him as if there was no way he'd ever be able to obtain what he wanted.

And yet...what was it that he wishing for?

Souji's clad in cloth as white as snow and he in black, dark like the unforgiving stillness of the night. How ironic; their clothes should have been switched. He imagined their bodies pressed, the contrast of their clothes, their height, their size. He thought that they fit together, like they merged as one. Slender arms were locked onto Alcor's waist, the youngest's face buried into eldest's scent.

The tears then come automatically, unwillingly, as if they were released from the depths of everything he held true. They were silent; quiet as the dead.

The silverete leaned in closer unintentionally; it seemed as if his body knew what he wanted more than he himself knew. His hand reached up to caress the soft skin that enveloped the other's face. The chin came first, then the lips, then the nose, then the cheekbones, then the eyes, then the forehead, and then he repeated that process, not caring about his now tear-stained face or clothes or bed sheets, or how Alcor might wake up to this sight.

Words rasped out from the incarcerate of his sore throat, sounding foreign to his own ears as his voice trembled and cracked to its heart's content.

"I'm sorry for being selfish. I'm sorry..."

How far will this go?

"Brother... I can't stop crying."

[6:10 AM, Yosuke's bedroom]

His alarm clock blared at him like it did every morning. It wasn’t anything out of the usual. It wasn’t anything unexpected. It wasn’t anything that couldn’t be dealt with in a simple, easy manner.

But Yosuke couldn’t handle it.

After being unable to sleep, tossing and turning in bed, thinking about what Souji and Alcor were doing and how Hibiki was feeling, and overall just feeling miserable, the alarm clock was the last thing Yosuke wanted to deal with. Especially since it was ringing an entire hour earlier than it was supposed to. Leave it to Yosuke's luck to have his stupid alarm fail him of all the times in his life.

So, with a war cry rivaling that of a veteran Spartan, Yosuke threw the helpless timepiece at his wall, shattering it so it could never bother him again.

He would have to buy a new one. And probably pay for any damages done to the wall.

“Goddammit.”

Well, at least he had his best friend. His other best friend, not Souji. While Souji was the one that Yosuke turned to when he needed help, the one he relied on, the one he could talk to about anything and everything…. There was someone else. Someone who was there when Souji might have been too busy or too tired.

Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.

Yosuke liked to think of himself as manly. Perhaps he wasn’t the manliest person, what with his thin, lanky body, his rather annoying voice, and overall lack of intimidating presence, but he had done enough in life to rightfully earn his mancard. But Vancouver… Not manly. Not manly at all.

Yet this penguin had been with him since the day he was born and god help him if someone dared say something about him. And if someone did have something to say about little Vancouver…

“Dude, he’s my penguin! Either love him or back the hell off!”

And the two people who loved Vancouver, Souji and Hibiki, would never judge him about him. Or at least Yosuke hoped not.

“Come on, Vancouver….” Yosuke grabbed the little penguin by his head, heaved his tired body out of bed, and made his way to the kitchen. After refusing to eat the previous day, his body was screaming at him to put some food in it. As much as sleep still tugged at him, he couldn’t deny the growling in his stomach. Together, Vancouver and Yosuke searched the fridge and found the delicious potato Hibiki had made the other night.

“Thank god for Hibiki, Van, or we would starve….”

It was odd… After the events of last night, after screaming and yelling, after attacking Hibiki, after learning everything about him…. Yosuke’s mind was a complete blank. Like he hadn’t been told Hibiki was once a murderer, that he had been a mailman instead. As much as he tried to get angry, to cry, to feel something… There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Well... Almost nothing. There was just a small, tiny little inkling of something... A small desire to make sure Hibiki would always, always smile.

“Did you know that Hibiki was a murderer once, Van? That whole underground world and everything. Did you know that?” Yosuke glanced at the penguin who was now sitting happily on the counter, watching the other heat up the beautiful, luscious potato with bacon.

“.........”

“I don’t care if you don’t believe me, Vancouver!”

“.........”

“Alright, listen. Just because he had a bit of a dirty past--alright, a filthy past--doesn’t mean you can treat him badly. I did that last night already. So when you see him be polite. Say ‘hello, how are you’ all that jazz. He's tired, Van. He's been shouldering this for a long time so we've got to help him. We got to take care of him because he promised to protect us in case something bad happens. Well, he said he would protect me, but I'm sure he meant you too. Anyways, don't be mean to him. Understand?”

“.........”

“Good.”

Smartest penguin on earth, Vancouver was.

Only proving this theory, Yosuke agreed with the advice the tuxedo clad penguin offered. Why bother going to school today? Yosuke wouldn’t pay attention. He wouldn’t focus. There was a chance he would even snap at the teachers or his fellow students. His homework wasn’t done from the previous night, though at this point it wouldn’t really ever get done. He couldn’t stay awake, he was hungry, tired, and he just frankly didn’t want to see anyone unless it was Souji, Alcor, or Hibiki.

So fuck school.

And hell yes to this potato with bacon.

“Hibiki!” Yosuke’s voice carried through the house to wherever Hibiki was. “I’m not going to school today. Taking a mental health day. Perhaps you should too. Why don’t you hang out with me today? We’re listening to Kpop, dancing, and Vancouver says we should color cause it’s relaxing. You in or you out?”

It was too easy to skip school. Too easy to invite Hibiki, who he should have rejected entirely, to spend the day with him. It was too easy to not worry about Souji, to leave him in the capable hands of Alcor. It was too easy to not worry about Alcor either. It was all too easy….

Something had broken within him. Something had snapped so harshly, so aggressively inside of him, something that he had buried so deep he thought it would never resurface. It was a feeling… Or rather a lack thereof. He didn’t want to think this. He didn’t want to feel this way. But as he sat there, eating his potato, staring at his penguin, and feeling almost nothing for the events that happened the previous night he knew it had happened. The words crept into his mind, the words he wanted so badly to push back down. These words would ruin his life and yet make it so much easier. They had the potential to break every relationship he had, but they also had the potential to get him through those broken relationships. They could destroy him and save him at the same time.

‘I just don’t care anymore.’

[6:10 AM] [Dawn, in Hibiki’s room]

With groggy eyes the secretary welcomed the dawn. After his meal yesterday he almost instantly fell asleep after hitting the bed. Though now he was even more tired than before. The tiredness will let up over the day but for now he couldn’t will his body to move. A loud “thunk” awoke him from oblivion. For a few minutes he just continued lying inside his bed. Well, not really in it. Half of his body was already on the ground and his blanket was who knows where. The raven could care less for that however, in the position he was in now he was pretty content. His glance at the clock told him that it was time to stand up. Hibiki was a person of habit; he usually started every second day with a shower and a calm breakfast before walking slowly towards school and enjoying the early signs of a new day. But right now, he couldn’t really bring himself to move. But as a dutiful student he had to be on time. As the student council secretary he had to set a sample to the students. As such he wasn’t allowed to sleep in.

But not only a headache but also Yosuke’s calling woke him from his slumber. With a groan he rolled out of bed and lay on the ground, staring at the ceiling, for a second before groggily standing up and making his way towards the drawer. After retrieving a fresh set of underwear, he started towards his school uniform lazily hanging from a coat hanger. Suddenly, Yosuke’s offer to skip school seemed really tempting. But it was only the second day of school….at the moment his mind was weighing the pros and cons. And considering that he really didn’t feel that good his decision was made. Clad in a loose sweatshirt and jogging pants he left his room and walked towards Yosuke. “Morning.” he greeted both of them and went for the coffee machine to turn it on. While waiting for his piece of heaven, he grabbed a bowl, milk and cereals.

After getting everything, especially his cup of coffee Hibiki started eating his breakfast. Normally, he didn’t favor normal coffee much but his special brand was all gone. He’d have to make sure to buy some when he works part time again. For today, a strong coffee would do the trick. His headache was also mostly gone; he would still make sure to swallow a pill for that one. “I’ll take one too but I’ll pass on the dancing. We can watch some vids though and I should make sure to call Alcor to tell him.” he mumbled into his cereals and slurped the left over milk till everything was gone. It wasn’t like he didn’t like doing stuff with Yosuke but today was just…..it seemed like the other was forcing it almost. Concerning the penguin, Hibiki couldn’t say that he didn’t find it weird that Yosuke talked to that stuff animal but he didn’t criticize him because of it. After all, if that helped him then he can interact with Vancouver. The secretary would never say anything; he isn’t the most normal one too after all. He liked talking to himself after all. Weird and weird stick together huh?

[06:11 A.M.][Alcor's Room][Chilly and Cloudy]

Peaceful; the darkness. It was calming and rejuvenating after for so long that it had been gone. Serenity; the silence gave. He floated apart from anything, but still able to feel the waves of thought and emotions, of the looming wakefulness that languidly came. It was gentle, how the grip of consciousness pulled him from the embrace of slumber. How it took him an eternity to take that one last gasping breath before feathery lashes fluttered and silvery hues began to reveal themselves. The aches and pains were there, sleeping the way he did made sure of that. The memory of what happened the night before returned but they were all welcomed with open arms. And Alcor felt weightless.

As if he'd won a hard-fought battle and now he had time to just be.

And that same weightlessness continued even as he lifted his messy head and took in a lamenting Souji, arms clutched at his waist as if there was even a chance that he would leave. No, not after last night. Not after everything that he'd figure out. He'd stay and keep the younger Seta company for however long he was needed. That was how his love worked.. how he would endure. To be by his brother's side until the time he was cast away. The prospect hurt, but he'd already accepted it. He could do nothing less.

"I'm here, Souji." He murmured, voice soft as velvet as he lifted himself and took a seat beside the crying teen, strong arms immediately curling around the silverete's shoulders in a warm embrace. It felt nice, knowing that he was at least giving the other comfort. It made his face break into that gentle smile that only appeared when he was content. And in a way, he was. To be needed like this now, he didn't mind if he was discarded in the end. "I promised I wouldn't leave you and I won't. Together forever, remember?"

Black-tipped fingers combed through silver locks, almost petting but not quite. Just small silent reassurance that he was there and that he wasn't going anywhere. Alcor knew Souji needed his touches more than ever, knew how he must have felt so abandoned after what he did last night.. after he had locked his door. And his apologies came through soft and almost reverent touches; a thumb to caress a cheek, to wipe away shed tears, lips to kiss the silky mop of hair, and body-made-pillow for the younger teen to hold until he calmed down. Alcor gave it all.. knew he'd give more.

And just like that, school was ignored. But Alcor being Alcor always had something to cheer the other up.

"Ne, Souji, want to go visit Yosuke and Hibiki-kun in the dorms? I know they won't be going to school too. We can go and bring Yosuke's bike as a reason." Soft silver eyes glittered at the prospect of just watching Yosuke fall over himself at the sight of such extravagant gift. But then he remembered that they had 4 barely used ducatis in their expansive garage.. so why leave Hibiki out when the four of them could have one each? He knew Hibiki and Yosuke would take good care of them so that was better than just leaving them there to gather dust and rust. "Actually, now that I think about it, why not give Hibiki-kun one as well? Could be a good apology for my being nosy."

A small degrading laugh came, quick and silent, at how said nosyness had just about damaged all of them. How that good deed had just about landed him a one way ticket to hell. He didn't mind though. He did it to keep Hibiki safe and his future secure and he wouldn't take all that back just for his selfish reasons. The secretary deserved as much, after everything that he'd been through. It wasn't out of pity, no. He didn't do things like that just because he pitied someone. He did it by sheer good will and because he genuinely wanted to help. But as they say; good deeds pave the road to hell. It didn't matter though. If that was the cost of doing good, then he'd gladly spend eternity in hell.

"Go get changed and meet me in the garage in ten minutes. Give Yosuke a call too and tell him we're going there with some gifts of apology for last night. Don't let Theodore see you or we're dead." He smiled again, carefree and loving before a kiss was planted on Souji's silvery brow.

Dressed in his patented red and black striped shirt, along with dark pants, Alcor stood in what might have been an auto show, but actually was just the family garage. About a dozen different cars lined every corner, ranging from race cars, luxury vehicles, to limousines. Spare tires and mechanical gears and toolboxes littered some of the space too, but his attention was mostly focused on the four ducati that lay perfectly aligned with each other.

The first one to his left was

in paint. He supposed that was what Yosuke would be having. Next to it was

. That, Souji would probably want for himself. Beside it was

, but mostly just blue. That, he could see Hibiki having. And last was

. That was his since he'd used it from time to time.

They were all sleek curves made from high-end materials. No penny had been spent on them since they had been gifts from the manufacturer, probably a sign of good will.. or something equally as meaningless from the world of business. Today, all of them got a new home. And he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer to the ones he was giving them to. After all, these bikes were his to use and give.

"You can have the white one, but for now, you drive the orange and I'll drive the blue." Was what Alcor stated, going to the nearby shelf and grabbing the necessary keys and helmets. He tossed the blue one, the key along with it, to Souji before putting on the orange one that he held. "Last one to get there gets to buy everyone breakfast, lunch and dinner?"

Came his challenge. And then they were speeding out of the manor even before Theodore had a chance to sigh.

[06:30 A.M.][Front of Hibiki and Yosuke's dorm][Chilly and Cloudy]

"Aaah. I lost."

Came the exhaled announcement from Alcor, white hair fluttering wildly as he removed his helmet. It had been a total coincidence when the red traffic light had blinked on just as Souji had passed it and the eldest had to stop to prevent himself from being arrested. That would have been bad since they haven't even eaten breakfast.

Well.. they could just order take-out and laze around all day in Yosuke and Hibiki's rooms, watching movies and perhaps playing some video games. And generally just being unmindful teenagers that they were.

"YOSUKE! HIBIKI-KUN! WE HAVE THE PLACE SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR MOUTHS WIDE OPEN! YOUR GIFTS ARE JUST WAITING FOR THEIR DADDIES TO COME AND GET THEM!" He shouted, lips stretched in a pearly grin that he shared with Souji.

He hoped no one called the police for him slightly disturbing the peace.

[06:14 A.M.][souji's Room][Chilly and Cloudy]

"I'm here, Souji."

Bang.

"I promised I wouldn't leave you and I won't. Together forever, remember?"

Bang. Bang.

Repeatedly; Souji's head had been banging itself on his own bedroom door ever since he'd returned, frustrated at himself for not being completely elated at those affectionate words meant only for him. He should have been dancing for joy at those words, because it meant that Alcor wouldn't even think of leaving him, that they'd be apart of each other's lives for who knows how many years to come.

And yet, there's that distance... that god forsaken distance that had seemed to decrease slightly the day before, but then increased ten times the amount just a few moments after. With his slender body pressing so deeply into the wooden partition, there would have been a thought that he'd just seep right through it if he desired. Sighing heavily, Souji retreated from the wooden frame, his lips pursed into a firmly set line and his facial muscles strained; a great indicator of the inner turmoil that was taking place deep in his mind, body, and soul. Furthermore, the expressions told a story that words could not simply do by themselves.

An incestuous relationship can be defined as having sexual relations with one's relatives. A family is consisted of a group of people who share a common ancestry. With these two facts combined, an incestuous relationship can be further elaborated as having an intimate relationship with someone of the same ancestral blood values.

Souji knew that, but that wasn't the only eating at his brain like maggots.

It wasn't just about what they did yesterday. It's about how idiotic and deranged he was for being unable to control his own actions, and for purposefully making the situation just a million times more difficult on their relationship. It's about how weak he was when it came to controlling his sexual urges and desires. It's about how hurtful he was being, how it could have been so much better if he had just gone back to his own room and slept there like a good boy, instead of wailing like a child and begging to be let in. It was about how he was always the one who needed to be protected, and yet he couldn't do the same no matter how much he tried. It was about how his mind couldn't make up what it wanted, couldn't figure out what it was wishing for, nor did it know the consequences of letting its control slip away like ice.

He blinked hard, fluttering his eyes, attempting to regain a clear mind, but nothing seemed to work. A pale hand brought itself up to his twitching forehead, mind exhausted from the happenings of yesterday and the aggravated thoughts curving and twisting together in the deep crevices of his mentality. With a shake of his silver head, light footsteps then carried him to his wardrobe, allowing his hands to pick out the garments that he thought were a necessity for their unexcused day off from school. Silvery orbs scanned the aligned mass of clothing, whilst picking out a jet black jacket, a gunmetal gray turtleneck shirt along with a pair of pants the hue of his jacket.

"Ne, Souji, want to go visit Yosuke and Hibiki-kun in the dorms? I know they won't be going to school too. We can go and bring Yosuke's bike as a reason. Actually, now that I think about it, why not give Hibiki-kun one as well? Could be a good apology for my being nosy." A curve of a smile began to show at Souji's lips as he changed, and gradually, it widened into a dainty, loving smile, enough to show those creases at the corners of his eyes when he's sincerely gratified.

Souji's always believed that kindness is revealed by someone who truly cares; someone who's willing to sacrifice to help someone else; someone who always has a kind word to give, and is adored by all. Kindness that exhibits the goodness, the love, the forgiveness and the ability to be merciful to others. It could be displayed in a deed, a word or anonymously. Kindness is not just action, because it comes from within and is sincere. By no means, does it ever come cheap, because there's usually a high price to pay and it's difficult to turn the other cheek and love one's enemy. Kindness is the act of love.

Alcor's always been that type of kind; it was just who his brother was.

"Go get changed and meet me in the garage in ten minutes. Give Yosuke a call too and tell him we're going there with some gifts of apology for last night. Don't let Theodore see you or we're dead."

As the silverete rummaged through his bag--which Theodore had probably sent to his room along with the maroon scarf stationed on his bathroom rack to dry--he began to wonder how Yosuke was faring after their accidental eavesdropping event. Since Souji wasn't there, he'd probably be confiding in his stuffed, tuxedo-clad Penguin, named Vancouver. There wasn't an inkling of doubt that overcame Souji, because he knew for fact that that had taken place at least once today. He knew Yosuke after all.

A gray cellphone then found its way to his hand, and with a couple of clicks to the alphabet and a few more touches to the buttons on the doohickey, a message had been sent to his partner, stating Alcor's and his random, upcoming arrival to their apartment.

"We're coming over. Oh, and we have bikes. ^.^"

A chuckle could be heard throughout the vacancy of the hallways, echoing and bouncing across each intricately designed wall, as Souji headed to the garage, pushing back his problems and saving them for another day.

Because today, he'd have fun.

[06:31 A.M.][Front of Hibiki and Yosuke's dorm][Chilly and Cloudy]

"Aaah. I lost," a breathy voice had announced after their breathtakingly, dangerous race, which Souji had won. It was a mere coincidence that he found victory, because a red light had halted his brother's movements after the youngest had ran passed it moments before the green altered. His short, silver hair stuck to his face uncomfortably when he had taken of his helmet, thus resulting in slender fingers brushing them away absentmindedly.

"YOSUKE! HIBIKI-KUN! WE HAVE THE PLACE SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR MOUTHS WIDE OPEN! YOUR GIFTS ARE JUST WAITING FOR THEIR DADDIES TO COME AND GET THEM!"

Souji flinched slightly as the sudden exclamation of words, but couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the sentences being processed in his head. That was one way to get them to come out, but it was another way to get them arrested.

"Brother... you'll get us in trouble. You're buying breakfast, lunch, and dinner, by the way. Don't forget." A small smile found its way to his pink lips, feeling content and at ease with his brother's hint of childishness and excitement. Which then erupted into a large opening of his mouth, to shout with the same fervor and intensity, totally contradicting his statement from just a few seconds ago.

"YOSUKE! BRING VANCOUVER OUT HERE TOO! AND HIBIKI! DO YOU HAVE POTATOES LEFT?!"

[6:31 AM, Yosuke and Hibiki's Dorm Room]

“Don’t be like that.” Yosuke’s eyes rolled towards the ceiling at hearing Hibiki’s response. He knew the other wasn’t the type to just break out in a song and dance, but considering the circumstances surely he let loose just this once? A glance at Vancouver, then a glance at Hibiki helped Yosuke make his decision. The little penguin was right. Dancing was good for the soul.

“~Come on, Hibiki~” Yosuke sang, grinning as he shook his hips towards the other unsuspecting male. “I’ll make a deal with you.” The brunette took the more than confused raven and spun him a few times before forcing the other to spin him. “Twenty minutes of your time. Just twenty minutes dancing with me and we’ll watch whatever you want for the rest of the day. I’ll even watch something scary and you know I hate scary movies!”

How funny it was to see Hibiki so lost and confused. Had the other ever danced in his life at all? Surely even criminals enjoyed going to clubs and karaoke bars or even just dancing alone in their rooms using their hair brushes as microphones? Surely even someone as quiet and mousy as Hibiki, who had already proven himself to be anything but quiet and mousy, could lose himself in music and allow his body to just move?

“~I just wanna dance the night away~” Yosuke sang again, taking Hibiki in his arms and dancing around the dorm with him. “~Come on, Hibiki~”

Then….

"YOSUKE! HIBIKI-KUN! WE HAVE THE PLACE SURROUNDED! COME OUT WITH YOUR MOUTHS WIDE OPEN! YOUR GIFTS ARE JUST WAITING FOR THEIR DADDIES TO COME AND GET THEM!"

Dancing would be impossible if the young, innocent, boy Yosuke Hanamura died of a heart attack at the tender age of eighteen. The scream that could only belong to a certain white-haired male was probably heard in every room of the dormitory by every person who was staying there. And that knowledge didn’t help calm Yosuke’s pounding heart. The last thing he and Hibiki needed was to earn the rage of the other residents because a “prince” came screaming at their tower window about gifts he had brought from his kingdom.

Still, such behavior was normal for Alcor. It came with territory of being his friend. Part of the contract stated that one had to listen to his booming voice that carried across the world and to the heavens no matter what time of day it was. It was just how Alcor operated.

But Souji….

"YOSUKE! BRING VANCOUVER OUT HERE TOO! AND HIBIKI! DO YOU HAVE POTATOES LEFT?!"

When the hell did Souji get a voice like that??

After grabbing Vancouver, Yosuke ran to his window, waving his (still) nicely dressed penguin around like he was a white flag of surrender.

“HAVE SOME DECENCY, YOU IDIOTS! SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL SLEEPING! YOU’RE GONNA GET US KICKED OUT OF OUR DAMN DORM AND THEN WHAT?? HIBIKI AND I WILL STAY WITH YOU IS WHAT!”

Which wouldn’t have been a bad trade-off at all. If only that butler wasn’t so… Intimidating. Yosuke was more frightened of him than the once murderer he was living with.

Especially since said murderer looked like he was about to die. Yosuke laughed at him as he made his over to the stunned man. Always trying to be kind and helpful, Vancouver pecking Hibiki gently on his cheek to try and calm him down some.

“We won’t be kicked out of the dorm! It’s okay! And besides even if we are, we’ll live with Alcor and Souji since it’s all their fault. No problem, right!”

Right.

Forgetting completely about dancing, Yosuke dashed out of the dormitory and crashed into Souji, embracing him like this was first time seeing him in years.

“Dude, what the hell! Don’t leave me like that again! Not when the situation is that… Shitty.” He turned around to point at the older brother, giving him a look that only a mother would give to her naughty child. “And don’t you take him away again either. I mean, Hibiki and I worked it out, but… I made it pretty rough for him.”

The guilt of the abuse Hibiki suffered from him still weighed heavily on Yosuke. Yes, he apologized, but it still didn’t change the face that Hibiki suffered only more because of him. To make him feel like a criminal again, even when he was working so hard to put that life behind him… Yosuke hated himself for it.

But for now, with the two brothers here, the mood would change. It already had. The atmosphere was brighter now, as bright as the aura that surrounded the Seta brothers. It was impossible to be sad around them; it was impossible to feel depressed around them. As frightened as Yosuke was last night it didn’t change the fact that Alcor was still that same silly, over-the-top, flamboyant older brother. And Souji… Well, to this day Yosuke didn’t know what he would do without Souji.

“How terrible of you guys!” It was easy to get sucked into the positive energy that enveloped the brothers and Yosuke was once again feeling like his silly, dorky, idiot self. “You guys come driving up here in your--what are these--ducatis! And you wave them around in our faces when you say you have gifts for us, but then don’t give us the ducatis. Well, where are our presents then?”

Oh.

Oh….

Ohhhhh….. No.

Just one look on the faces of those ever mysterious, ever strange, ever rich-as-fuck Seta brothers told Yosuke his joke was not actually a joke.

“No, nooooo, no, no, no, no.” Who knew Yosuke’s head could shake that fast? “Absolutely not. I can’t accept a motorcycle! Do I even know how to drive one?? Is that what you rich people do? You just hand out motorcycles to your friends? No, don’t get me wrong! I’m totally grateful for the thought and effort, but….”

But Yosuke was entitled to nothing. Was owed nothing. Deserved nothing. Could accept nothing, especially a gift so large. As kind as the brothers were, particularly Alcor who always seemed to be giving, Yosuke couldn’t find it in himself to accept the extravagant and oh so beautiful motorcycle.

And while Yosuke ranted and switched his stare from the bikes to the elder brother, Vancouver somehow found himself in Souji’s protective arms.

“How can I even afford insurance on this?” He whispered before slowly backing away, laughing in complete disbelief. “Dude, you guys are insane. Take those bikes back to your house. You guys are completely nuts! You’re nuts. Go somewhere with those bikes, but not here. Like for reals.”

Finally, that smile had returned to Yosuke’s face. His best smile. The smile everyone knew. Having his best friends surrounding him, knowing everyone was okay, knowing that regardless of where they went Alcor and Souji would always come back, bringing their light with them, and knowing that Hibiki was somehow stuck with all these crazy people and for whatever reason didn’t seem to mind…

It made him smile.

[6:31 AM] [Yosuke’s and Hibiki’s dorm] [Chilly and cloudy]

After shoving away his eating utensils, he thunked his head onto the table and sighed. While he usually didn’t behave like this, he was just so tired at the moment. Yesterday really worn him out. So it was understandable if he didn’t want to break out and sing and dance but he obviously couldn’t deny Yosuke so he went along when the other pulled him up and tried to get him to dance. It wasn’t like he didn’t know how, Hibiki was just uncomfortable dancing. “Shouldn’t you ask a woman for a dance? You got your priorities mixed up.” the student said as a joke but at least tried to make an effort and started dancing with the other. It was still clear that he didn’t want to dance but at least he followed the other’s steps and spun him around. “You sure you want to say that? I got a whole collection of new ones.” he said with a smirk towards the other. Normally he was alone when he decided to do a horror night but it was always funny to watch Yosuke when he joined. It was almost exciting to watch him than the actual movie. Over the short time his muscles got looser and he actually enjoyed their little dance. It was still a bit awkward dancing so close together since both of them were guys but he guessed even if it was awkward, it was also a nice way to let out some stream.

But he winced when a lout and booming voice sounded outside their window. With a start he stopped their dance and tried to process what just happened. It was obviously Alcor’s voice but why where they here and what’s that about gifts and more importantly, why didn’t they just ring the bell instead of shouting their heads off? It was still early; both of the brothers could actually get problems. Before he could react, he watched Yosuke go to the window and shout towards them too. He could only sigh. After Van pecked him out of his thoughts he replied “You know, you shouldn’t shout back if you want them to repent. Hopefully we didn’t wake anyone. Let’s go.” but before he could even move himself Yosuke sped past him and down to the brothers. With a shake of his head he followed Yosuke but not before making sure everything was okay in their dorm room and shut their door. So, still clad in jogging pants and a white t-shirt Hibiki followed his roommate with slower steps.

After arriving at the entrance his eyes immediately drifted towards their ‘presumable’ gifts. While the secretary had already driven bigger machines, he didn’t have a driver license but the others didn’t have to know that. The small things about his past can be told another time, they didn’t need a new argument. “Good morning you too.” he replied finally after switching his gaze towards the others again. With a questioning gaze he indirectly asked if Alcor and Souji were able to get over their happenings yesterday. They obviously were acting like they did but Hibiki wanted to make sure. It was his main fault that this happened after all, as such he kind of felt responsible.

“Yeah as much as I am grateful, I can’t afford one at the moment. I usually just walk or take the bus or train anyway. We don’t have a place in the garage either.” he answered and walked next to Yosuke before smiling slightly towards the others. Hibiki rarely accepted gifts; it was already enough that he got a scarf gifted to him. A Ducati was too expensive for the student. Before he gets a real job, he has to make do with the money he earns at his part time work. Kaze didn’t want to touch his parent’s inheritance if it wasn’t an emergency.

[06:35 A.M][Front of Hibiki and Yosuke's Dorm][Cloudy and Chilly]

Yosuke stuttering, complaining, and refusing, along with Hibiki, made Alcor break out in a small tight and eerie smile; his face pinching in that terrifying way it did when something didn't go his way. He stood close to the both of them, almost looming over as black-nailed fingers clamped on two separate cheeks before beginning to pull.

It was nice to not think much of what happened the day before, it was again nicer to see how his secretary had given them that worried look; to at least know that someone that could sometimes be as indifferent as Souji could care enough to even worry about them. It was quite a welcome change, should it be a permanent or a temporary one. Alcor just hoped that his smile and gestures somehow settled the long-haired teen to at the very least think that he was fine. And in a way, he was, for the timebeing that he was feeling numb anyways. After that, the white-head didn't know.

"They're already insured. Yosuke-kun, you had a scooter, it's the same principle. And Hibiki-kun, they don't need much gas and if you need them fixed then bring them to the manor and our mechanic will fix it for you, free of charge." He began, fingers stretching Yosuke and Hibiki's cheeks in different directions. "And if you don't accept them, we'll leave them here and it'll be both your fault if they get stolen." His eerie smile widened, other fingers now giving the brunet and raven's nose a few soft flicks. "So just accept them already."

Then before anyone could formulate a reply, Alcor let go and proceeded to barge in the open dorm door with the carelessness of a hungry spoiled cat. One of those at least was true.

"Hibiki-kun! Let's order pizza, but give me food first! I'm hungry!" He'd sat down on the couch, only to jump right out of it as water seeped in the fabric of his pants. "Who peed on your couch? Oh my god, Yosuke-kun, was this what you meant by being hard on Hibiki-kun!? You know how he can be a clean freak from time to time and you peed on the couch! Oh the inhumanity of it all!" He'd gotten on his knees during the dramatic outburst, arms lifted high as if to seek penitence from the heavens before he leaned forward and gave said couch a sniff. "Oh, wait. It's just water. Let's throw it and buy a new one."

Then before anyone else could say anything, Alcor had taken his phone out, speed dialed someone and was already waiting for them to pick up the call. And then there was a click and the eldest's lips curved in a grin.

"This is Alcor Seta, I'd like to have four pizza delivered in Izanami-no-Mikoto Academy Dorms. Tell the guards at the gate that it's for the room of Hanamura and Kaze.. Toppings? Make one all meat, make another vegetarian, make the third a combination of meat and vegetables, aaaand put everything else you have as the topping of the fourth." A white brow lifted and clear silver eyes blinked. "What do you mean you can't do the last one? Oh! Too much toppings. Are you selling some fried chickens then? Why not? Just go the nearest supermarket, buy frozen chicken then cook them. You don't have a fryer? Then just roast it. Oh, it's not in the line of foods you make. Then YOU roast it for me and I'll pay you. Fourty-five minutes? Sure!" With a soft click of a phone, the order was done.

Alcor gave the rest of the room's inhabitants a confused blink. "What?"

[06:38 A.M][Front of Hibiki and Yosuke's Dorm][Cloudy and Chilly]

"Good morning," a cheerful Souji said as he gave his salutations to the awed pair, tightening his hold on the tuxedo clad penguin as he hugged it protectively over his clothed chest. He looked back and forth between Yosuke and Hibiki, the energetic and peaceful atmosphere gleamed all around the young male, radiating off of him as he stretched a small, soft smile over his pink lips. Silver orbs glistened in glorious happiness and contentment, contradicting who he was the night before.

The beatific expression only seemed to express more of his bliss as he watched his brother saunter into the vacant apartment with a childish and indefatigable demeanor, and the sight caused him to be overjoyed. Souji had high hopes that his brother wouldn't drown in despair and brood whilst thinking about their endeavors from the night before, or about their other lingering problems that ceased to subside. The fact that Souji had relied on Alcor yet again to absorb his pain and sadness, was sufficient in making him realize that he was the arsonist that held the lighter for their future incineration.

Light, tentative footsteps then proceeded to move past the roommates as he followed the white head's example, barging through the dorm room door with the movements of a graceful dancer, yet with the intent of a very famished animal. With Vancouver in his affectionate embrace, the young male peered at the man as said man's slender extremities moved spiritedly about the entirety of the room. They gazed with a serene and peaceful intent, much like a lover that tends to stare absentmindedly at their partner for no apparent reason. Perky ears devoured at the pleasant musical notes that sang from his brother's throat, soothing him like a mother's lullaby.

Sure!"

The silverete's dreamy manner morphed into a quizzical, yet amused countenance as he listened without feeling the need to formulate any words of his own. Not because he didn't know what to say, but because he wanted to inhale the bliss that's oozing out from some place unknown, and expel his own weariness.

"What?" An endearing look of confusion planted itself on his brother's handsome face, silver hues bouncing from one person's stares to another, and to another. Today was to be their luxury, away from the unforgiving struggles of their lives as they reveled in each other's comforting presence. The looming exhilaration continued to build up within his lithe body, and all of a sudden, he then felt the desire to bathe in this ocean of happiness.

He began to feel like his body had a mind of its own, and he gave into it, letting control seep out of his skin, as he allowed his slender legs to take him wherever they wanted to go. They ventured about, his arms still secure around the stuffed penguin whilst he explored the familiar room to his heart's content. His windows to the soul caught themselves in a sea of blue, and he adventured closer to the figure, in hopes of asking the question pertaining to the potatoes he mentioned a few moments ago.

"Hibiki, I was serious about the potatoes. Do you still hav-"

Maybe he had been more unobservant than usual, or maybe he had begun to show signs of a clumsier side to his usual self. Because then, the world felt like it was circling around him. A paralyzing shock and a sudden rush of adrenaline pierced the boy's body, as he saw the carpeted ground grow closer to his line of sight, surprise masking over his previous expression. A slight tremor could be felt as he face planted against the floor, a loud noise resonating across the walls. A soft sound of pain slipped through his lips as he saw his life flash before eyes while he struggled momentarily to catch his breathe.

Yosuke's beloved penguin was safely being held in Souji's right hand, and thankfully, not crushed beneath his slender frame. A right arm laid motionless at Souji's side, and Vancouver too, had face planted in the male's grip.

A muffled sound of discontentment was voice out as he attempted to get out of his planking position. A deadpan expression etched over his face as he sat up criss-cross applesauce, slowly moving his eyes between each of the three members of their foursome.

"I might be dying."

[6:40, Inside Yosuke and Hibiki's dorm]

Alcor was many things. Held many titles such as older brother, student council president, overall good friend. He was also kind, generous, giving, caring… There were a lot of things to like about Alcor.

But there were a lot of things to not like about him too. Like how scary he could be.

That terrifying look, that eerie smile, the thought that ran through Yosuke’s head that Alcor would probably run him over with the damn ducatis--both of them--if he continued to refuse. They all chilled Yosuke’s blood as if he had walked through a ghost. Still, it was hard to take it. It was hard to accept something that he considered so large even if Alcor considered it just a miniscule item, something not even worth keeping around.

But what choice did he have? He smiled at Alcor, nodded, and thanked him for the gift, though he wasn’t sure if the other even heard it. Without even asking or waiting for an escort, the flamboyant man made his way to the dorm and started to cause a ruckus that would, once again, wake up the other students living in the residence hall.

Not that Yosuke cared anymore.

“What? Dude, Alcor, okay first and foremost why do you automatically assume it was me? Maybe Hibiki had a little accident! Why’s it gotta be me? Secondly, it’s not even pee--don’t sniff it if you’re not sure! Come on, man. What?? No, no, we can’t afford another couch! Not everyone has money coming out of their hair and ass like you do. Could you just slow down for a minute--are you even listening to me? Lookie here, Seta, you need to calm the hell--”

Thump.

Jesus christ, what now….

“Dude, I thought you knew how to walk.” Yosuke quickly grabbed his best friend--Vancouver--off the ground before heaving Souji up by with collar with a shout of “upsie daisy!” As reluctant as he was to hand the (even still) well dress penguin back to Souji, he had to admit the other had protected him during the fall.

“You need to be careful, man. You had a baby in your arms. You could have killed him and then what would I have done? And what if you got really hurt? Look at how your brother is worrying; now he won’t shut up. Look at the mess you’ve made, Souji. God, you should have felt my heart jump out of my chest when I saw Vancouver on the ground. You’ve got to be more careful. I trust you with him and he trusts you too. You don’t wanna break that trust, do you? Do you really… Truly… Honestly… Want to break the trust of a baby penguin? Could you live with yourself knowing that a baby penguin is frightened of you, Souji? I didn’t think so….”

It was a scolding worthy of an Oscar. When Yosuke quieted down, his hands on his hips as he looked Souji up and down, he allowed a smile to creep onto his face which was directed at his best friend who was anything but a penguin.

“You okay?” he asked quietly, just as a precaution. Souji looked fine, reacted normally to everything going on around him, but just in case…

After all, there was at least one person on this earth, if not two more, who were more important than Vancouver… But don’t tell the little penguin that.

Loud. That was the word Alcor would describe how it was inside Hibiki and Yosuke's dorm. It wasn't that he'd intended for it to go that way, with how he just went with things. But it was the easiest way to at least show that he was okay, that very little of what happened the night before had affected him. He knew that they needed a little bit of breather after the mess that was last night, and if Yosuke's words were any hint, he and Hibiki needed it as well. The eldest didn't know what had gone between the two but perhaps it was already resolved, despite the small tension that still lingered in the air.

As for him and Souji.. well.. that he didn't know. He'd come to a realization last night, but he had no idea how what they did was affecting his little brother. Alcor was confused as to why the younger had taken such a bold initiative when they were being somewhat intimate. Maybe it had something to do with his fear of being abandoned, but he doubted that it was really the cause. Souji knew that Alcor would always be there, for better or for worse.

Despite all that though, it was certainly nice to feel the silverete's concerned eyes on him from time to time, as if to make sure that he was still there or that he was okay. The happiness that act brought was different, somehow.. bellied by a certain possessiveness that he now understood. He knew he couldn't keep that look all for himself, knew that it would never be his, so he squashed down that possessive urge as best as he could. Better kill it now than let it affect him later.

But then Souji had shown his rare clumsy streak, had fallen flat on his face and Alcor had almost teared the living room down to get to him before he realized that maybe it was still not a very good idea to go all concerned on him. Maybe his mother hen attitude would turn into the concern only a lover would give and that being shown to Yosuke and Hibiki, giving the possibility that they'd figure out what he was feeling, terrified him so much that it left him rooted on his spot in between the living room and the kitchen.

He watched as Yosuke attended to his brother, had broken his shocked and scared face into a small smile when the brunet mentioned Vancouver. It made him remember that he had a bigger version of the penguin in their game room, in the case that Yosuke visited and wanted to play some games with the younger Seta.

He was a nice guy: Yosuke. If worse came to worse, Alcor would trust Souji to him.. besides Theodore anyways. The brunet had a mother hen side to him too, but a lot more mellow than the one the white-head had. He and Souji had that one-of-a-kind connection where they could even understand each other without the need for words. If he was being honest, Alcor would say that he found himself envious of that one bit in their relationship. If the eldest could choose who Souji fell in love with, besides himself, then he'd choose Yosuke. Their chemistry would be good, it would be fun, it would make the silverete come out of his shell more.

Admitting that hurt more than Alcor wanted to believe. It made the edges of his eyes sting just thinking about it.

Silver orbs glinted as he took in how close the two was.. just a foot more and they'd be kissing.. and that possessiveness flared so bright he had taken three steps towards the two best friends before he even knew what he was doing. Alcor blinked, swaying slightly on his feet before he covered what must have been a maniacal expression with an embarrassed chuckle as he lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck.

"Aha. I must have been hungrier than I thought. For a second there, I almost jumped Vancouver only to throw him into the frying pan." A nervous laugh came just as he turned and headed for the door. That had been close. He didn't know what he would have done to Yosuke should he have taken hold of him before he returned to his senses. It was terrifying to know that he could have done a lot.

One trembling hand grabbed hold of the doorknob, twisting to the side and opening it with a soft creak.

"WHHHOOOOOAAAAA!"

Alcor flinched, almost jumping out of his skin at the surprised exclamation. Raven hair and yellow scarf fluttered as Ryoji stood in what seemed to be a petrified karate pose, eyes wide and chest heaving as he stared at an equally dumbfounded elder Seta.

"Senpai. What are you doing here? It's almost time for school." Came another voice, blue hair and livid eyes peeking back into the doorway.

Cold sweat ran down Alcor's spine. What does a senior student -who's also the Student Council President- tell a sophomore so that it wasn't found out that he was skipping school?

"You see, Yuki, Vancouver is VERY ill. We NEED to take care of him that's why we can't go to school!" He smiled, more alarmed that anything else as Yuki gave him a flat look.

"You're skipping school." Was the monotonic announcement. Alcor opened his mouth to retort but the blue-head beat him to it. "And you're gonna ask me to tell your advisers that you caught a cold."

The Perfect Student hung his head in defeat and apparent shame, nodding minutely and perhaps childishly. But he brightened immediately when Yuki pressed a kiss to his cheek.

"Okay, but you'll have to stay and help me and Ryoji swim tomorrow afternoon." And with a small wave, they were gone, Ryoji walking backwards while using both his arms to give an energetic good bye.

Alcor sighed, closing the door with a gentle click.

All he wanted was some fresh air.. was that even out of his control?

[06:48 A.M.][Hibiki and Yosuke's Dorm]

“You okay?," his best friend had inquired softly, his voice holding an inquisitive tone to it as if to make sure that Souji was in fact, unhurt. The silverete wordlessly responded as he nodded, a reassuring countenance etched on his facial features. "Vancouver's alright, too. I protected him. Or at least I think I did," he quipped, a small chuckle lightening the mood between the two friends while he flushed the animal back into his caring arms.

"You might have rubbed off your clumsiness on me," Souji joked humorously, a hand reaching up to rub imaginary dust on Yosuke's shoulder, in an attempt to give back said clumsiness.

To Souji, true friendship is unconditional. A true friend will listen more than lecture, help more than criticize, pick one up when he falls, and share happiness, joys, griefs and fears. A true friend may not always tell a person what he wishes to hear, but will always tell one what he needs to hear. That friend is always there, and will put the other person's happiness above his own. Yosuke was that true friend, who laughs with him, not at him, and will always be there when needed.

A brisk-paced treading was then heard from behind him, his head instinctively turning back towards his right shoulder as he was interrupted in his musings. In the corner of his eyes was Alcor, a slightly maniacal expression masked over his handsome features before quickly morphing into one of embarrassment when he stopped a few feet behind them abruptly. Souji's heartbeat had begun to mimic the sound of horses stampeding across a dirt road, his silver orbs widening just a smidge.

"Aha. I must have been hungrier than I thought. For a second there, I almost jumped Vancouver only to throw him into the frying pan." A silver brow had been delicately lifted at the remark, and only higher after the embarrassed chuckle that ensued just a few seconds after. Souji's silver eyes followed his brother's movements, absentmindedly tracing each body line that bent and curved as the male walked, before flickering as a thunderous voice brought him out of his hypnotic trance.

"WHHHOOOOOAAAAA!"

Crossed arms tightened around the tuxedo-clad penguin, his attention drawn away from Yosuke towards the two new appearances at their doorsteps. For an instant, the conversation taking place just before him had been normal, and not affecting in the slightest. Had it been a friendly, conversational banter throughout, it wouldn't have mattered.

Scrutinizing silver hues felt as if they had tunnel vision, only being able to watch what was in front of them as the world around seemed to blur away into nothingness. They zoomed in, unblinkingly, while squinting before widening as they caught the sight of tainting lips on a pale cheek. Tight knots became acquainted with his stomach, whilst the corners of the silverete's eyes tickled and itched and stung; the sight of him glowing with happiness the moment his cheek had been kissed caused a pressure to accumulate in his chest, his heart feeling as if it would burst with emotion at any moment.

Much like a ticking time bomb.

Slender legs moved without its control center taking a second to think of the consequences, taking light, yet heavy-in-atmospheric steps. They took no precautions despite the rare streak of clumsiness that had happened prior, resulting in several careless trips that surprisingly did not end in a tremor, in which Souji did not care to notice.

"Okay, but you'll have to stay and help me and Ryoji swim tomorrow afternoon." And although the statement sounded innocent, Souji knew for a fact that it had been laced with deception, and the boy wasn't able to understand why.

He curled his upper lip to keep himself from speaking, his arms clutching at the penguin loosened. They reached out automatically to place Yosuke's treasure gently on a nearby table, his soft actions towards it contradictory to the negativity building up in the depths of his being. His mind whirled with thoughts that only made him assume the worst. Sadness combined with an increasing anger, swirling like a red tide within him, rising to choke his life away. The extremely painful and unwanted feeling made his silver eyes darken a shade, and his mouth become a straight, tight line.

All the while, Souji's trademark indifference began to crack, proving his human emotions invincible in comparison to his originally calm personality. Pearly whites clenched beneath closed lips, a noticeable exhaled breath taken as he stalked towards Alcor in slow, predatory steps. Had it been possible, gaping holes would have been seared into the retreating form of his eyes' prey, only to be blocked as the door had been lightly shut.

Slender fingers reached up towards a broad shoulder, before gripping it in an unintentionally harsh manner as it pulled, forcing the male to whip around and face his younger brother's uncharacteristically chilling eyes. His grip tightened as his other hand reached up towards the white head's cheek, indignant eyes glaring harshly at the one particular spot. The edge of the coat's sleeve found themselves covering his palm, fingers grasping at the fabric as he rubbed and wiped back and forth continuously on the delicate skin in an attempt to cleanse that spot of its invisible filth. Words shot out of his lips, much like gunshots fired through a silencer, disgruntled and cold in tone and manner.

"You looked happy, brother. Who was that?"

[6:50 AM, Hibiki and Yosuke's dorm]

If there was one thing Yosuke was good at it was reading the atmosphere. It came along with his exemplary skill of paying close attention to detail. Contrary to popular belief, this was one of his best skills. It had to be. With how awkward he was, with how clumsy he was, with how just plain unfortunate and unlucky he was, he thought it was important that he at least be able to read the tiny details in a person’s attitude and the atmosphere around them and change his demeanor if need be. If someone was sad, he could tell and he knew not to act silly and crazy around them. If someone was incredibly excited, he knew to play it up and keep that positive energy going. It was also important to him to know when to leave when he wasn’t wanted. Sometimes his less than stellar self confidence would convince him someone didn’t want him around when in actuality they couldn’t care one way or the other, but most of the time he knew. He knew when he was wanted and when he wasn’t.

And frankly if this wasn’t his own dorm he would have gladly left Alcor without a moment of hesitation.

Momentary insanity? Yosuke wasn’t sure, but he had never seen that look on the elder brother’s face before. That crazed smile that clearly had no reason or logic attached to it. The sparkle in his eyes that one could only see in the eyes of someone newly locked away in an insane asylum. The way he clearly stalked towards Yosuke, his long legs knowing their mission and moving with haste towards their owner’s victim.

It frightened him. Yosuke was so tired of being frightened by his friends; in less than twenty-four hours he had found out some rather unsavory things about them and he was tired of it. He was tired of bring frightened and disturbed and worried.

And even more concerning (or not) was why Alcor eyed him the way he did in the first place. Yosuke couldn’t think of anything he had done to cause the other injury. Perhaps the older brother wanted to help Souji up? Perhaps this manic energy that was exuding from Alcor was nothing more than jealousy? Extreme jealousy, yes, but nothing more?

But then as quickly as it had occurred it had disappeared. Alcor stopped himself from whatever he was planning to do to Yosuke and simply laughed it off, making a joke about how he was going to cook Vancouver. Riiiiiight…. Yosuke was sure it was him who would wind up in that frying pan had Alcor continued his descent into madness, not the little penguin.

But the unlucky brunette played along anyway. He laughed it off. Pretended not to notice, which was a rare thing for him, but it could happen.

“Go find your own penguin to cook. Mine has suffered enough for one day.”

And suffer more it would.

The way Souji squeezed poor Vancouver when Makoto placed a kiss on Alcor’s cheek almost made Yosuke knock the boy down so he could become acquainted with the floor a second time.

Yosuke had no problems with Ryoji and Makoto. In fact, he rather liked them. They were nice to him, which really was all he ever wanted. Sometimes they would bring snacks to the dorm and a boy’s night of movie watching and video gaming would commence out of nowhere. They were fun to say the least, and Yosuke would have happily invited them to join the hooky day had they not run off so quickly… And had Souji not suddenly developed a look that was far too similar to Alcor’s only moments before.

The moment Vancouver was set on the counter, Yosuke scooped him up and carried him to the safety of his bedroom. The world was menacing, too evil for the likes of a little innocent penguin like him.

But when he came back from his room, back into the harsh world, Souji was glaring at Alcor like he had kicked his penguin. So what had Alcor done wrong? Probably the same thing Yosuke had done to upset the elder…. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

At least nothing that deserved such punishments, such nasty looks. Was it normal for brothers to be this jealous over one another? Sure, Souji and Alcor had always been close, but to the point of such extreme jealousy?

It was weird.

Then again, Yosuke was an only child. Perhaps this was normal among siblings. Perhaps that evil green-eyed monster penetrated the hearts of all siblings; perhaps the deadly sin that swarmed like a dark, horrific cloud over all siblings was envy.

Yosuke didn’t know.

But what he did know was that the Seta brothers were acting weird. And he also knew that he shouldn’t come between them. Since they were in his and Hibiki’s dorm, if the brothers got out of hand the former two would step in. For now… Yosuke simply leaned against the wall, propped his elbow up on his other arm, rested his heavy, tired head in his palm, and watched as Souji unleashed on the older Seta for the innocent kiss he had received.

Yosuke would ask Souji why he acted the way he did afterwards.

Afterwards.

[06:35 A.M] [Yosuke’s and Hibiki’s dorm] [Cloudy and Chilly]

While waiting for Alcor’s response to their refusal to take the bikes, a sense of dread fell over Hibiki when he noticed the eerie and tight lipped smile that the president wore. Only a few steps and soon one of his cheeks was clamped and pulled on. It wasn’t pleasant to say the least, especially with the power that Alcor put behind it. He released a small pained grunt and rubbed his abused cheek when the other finally released them. It almost looked like pouting but the secretary never pouted. “Damm you rich people.” he muttered under his breath, hoping that the other didn’t hear. Now he was ‘kindly asked’ to take the bikes. But even with so many positive aspects, it went against his nature. But damm, he wouldn’t want to be on Alcor’s bad side so he begrudgingly accepted them. But just out of pure defiance he probably won’t use it.

“AHH. Stop it, no new couch, sit on the counter!” the secretary shouted after arriving inside their apartment and seeing as well as hearing Alcor. Really, rich people were such a hassle. As if they’ll buy a new couch. As much as he wasn’t materialistic, the old couch was his safe heaven. It was like clouds after a hard day and Hibiki often found himself sitting on it be it reading, watching TV or just relaxing. No, he wasn’t materialistic, not at all. He just had to clean it, even if a small stain will remain. As much as he liked a clean surrounding, he love that couch to death. Okay that was a bit over the top but he’d rather not separate from it. So while Alcor was ordering their pizza, he frankly didn’t care that he order so much, he retrieved a rag and started to scrub the stain on the couch. Being lazy as he was at home, he ignored both of the brother’s call for food. They will just have to wait till their pizzas arrived. Well, as least as they don’t decide to raid their kitchen.

While he let Yosuke take over the part of a ranting mother at the moment, he scrubbed at the stain and soon found it nearly gone. Thankfully it wasn’t all that much rain water that got soaked in, the rest of the water had to dry out. Happy with this small accomplishment, he disposed of the rag in the sink of their bathroom and joined the trio again. Only for Souji to fall down in front of his feet. What was today? Was today April the first? Whatever it was, he helped Souji stand up but otherwise didn’t say much. Yosuke already did that part, even if the other kinda drifted off. Maybe he should say something too but Hibiki felt like it wasn’t his place to say anything. A tight bond linked them together and he would just feel weird to add his two cents. But he couldn’t help but ask “So I am guessing you are so hungry that you had a sudden feeling of faintness right? I don’t have potatoes but I can make some pancakes for you.” he offered and watched the two. Only for his gaze to be directed towards the older Seta brother. His gaze was questioning but the secretary didn’t want to pry today. If Alcor wanted to talk or anyone else for that matter then he would listen.

A bit startled at the loud sound after Alcor opened the door the raven haired student walked towards the new arrivals. “Good morning you two.” he added before both of them vanished again. Frankly, they never had much to do with each other but sometimes he invited Ryoji to his horror night. The other was always interested in his new DVDs and since Yosuke barely watched with him he invited the other purely random to a movie night. Since then Ryoji would always come over or asked when a new movie night would be. But beyond that relationship there was none, he and Yuki barely interacted. They just exchanged recipes now and then. While Hibiki liked sticking to easy things…..Yuki was a bit more extravagant. But since the secretary liked trying new stuff he always borrowed some recipes.

While the whole scene happened the raven didn’t see the opportunity to get between them. The air was tense and Hibiki thought it was their responsibility to sort things out again. While he always thought that Alcor was a bit too overprotective towards his brother, he couldn’t say that it was unusual for brothers since he never had one. Even if it made seem weird to others, Hibiki wasn’t really one to judge so he let them be. If it was normal to the both of them then he didn’t see the need to say anything. But he will still help if anyone of the two will seek him out. So while waiting if he needed to stop them, he decided to make the promised pancakes since he couldn’t have both of them annoying him until he gave in or the pizza would arrive. Soon the sizzling sound of the pan drifted through the apartment. He hoped the tense atmosphere wouldn’t get out of control. He’d rather not have a day like yesterday again.

[06:53 A.M.][Hibiki and Yosuke's Dorm]

Despite outward appearances and his somewhat flamboyant nature, Alcor was actually quite the schemer; he was sharp and cunning in his own way. Although sometimes impulsive -mostly only because of Souji- he's actually more patient than he seems, more calculating and sly than anyone knew.

Many people thought that he had a shallow nature, that there was nothing more behind that perfect smiling face and that perfect intelligent brain. He didn't mind them thinking that, didn't really care if they thought of him as common and weak.. many actually thought that he was President of the Student Council just for show, like the Queen of England -no real power. The students feared Hibiki more than they would ever fear Alcor. They thought he had taken his position because of his name - at least those who didn't like him thought so and spread such rumors. Not many believed since the elder Seta had such a wonderful rapport.

He'd become President partly because of his name and his unstained student record and report cards. Students voted him because they knew he was, most of the times, lenient towards them and thought that if he stayed in power that they could at least do anything they wanted. People hated rules and hormonal teenagers numbered among the top ranking ones along that list. And in many cases, it is because of that hate that they disliked figures of authority.

Alcor had known.. Alcor had done something about it. He'd become the so-called 'Figure Head' while the rest, especially his ever so strict Secretary, became his knights, bishops and rooks. The thing about students was that one needed their trust more than their fear and the white-head had their trust, while his council had their fear.. and that was how he could manipulate them to just about do anything he wanted, even those who disliked him. After all, in a battle of chess, the queen was the most powerful piece.

So it goes to say that Alcor was more of a scheming villain than a radiant hero. Personally, such label was true since he really couldn't care less about the people he trampled along the way, except if they were one of his friends -more so evident when it comes to the younger Seta. But in the face of Souji's oh so evident jealousy, Alcor was no more than a empty-headed buffoon, the very fact alone that the silverete was jealous was enough to short-circuit the taller teen's brilliant mind.

He didn't know what to do.. rather, he didn't know how to proceed. A small part of him was ecstatic beyond belief, probably jumping for joy in a flower field somewhere, but a bigger part of him was shrouded in confusion. Souji's jealousy -that he probably didn't even know and understand in the first place- could only stem from two logical scenarios: either he was a lot more possessive as a brother.. or.. he had..
unknown feelings
.. for Alcor. The former, the white-head could accept with a slight pang to his heart. Made him happy but nonetheless die a little bit more. The latter.. he didn't know what to feel about.

Everyone wanted something they couldn't have, things and people that were just out of their reach no matter what they do. But on some instances, rare as they were, where they are given that same thing - they wouldn't immediately know what to do with it since they had been so set on the belief that it was all just an unreachable dream. So it was with this that Alcor found himself staring dumbly at those cold silvery orbs while Souji scrubbed the place Yuki had kissed him.

Normally, he would probably hug his brother, lift him, squeeze him, and twirl them both around until they were laughing and dizzy, but now he just found himself paralyzed with that blooming
hope
that maybe Souji felt the same way Alcor did.. that he just hadn't figured it out just yet. It made his heart clench and his lower lip tremble... because he'd
believed
that the other was out of his reach.

Hope was a nasty bitch when it came to things you couldn't do anything about. It hurt and destroyed every vestiges of self-control until they were nothing more than a pile of smoldering ashes. Alcor didn't want to hope.. didn't want to think that he had a chance in
having
Souji.. because then.. because then, if that hope turned out false.. it would kill him.. it would spiral him into a depression so severe he doubted he'd be able to recover from it.

He wasn't a pessimist, but neither was he an optimist. He just.. let things be, without any ample expectations as to the results because he -more than anyone- knew that anything could happen. So hoping, one way or another, was nothing more than self-torture.. a torment one inflicted on themselves.. where in the end, its only purpose is to boost confidence and nothing more. It was probably cold for him to think that, but it was true nevertheless.

And as much as that hope of Souji -maybe, probably, possibly- having equal feelings for him, made bloom such wonderful and brilliant warmth within him.. Alcor still wanted it gone. Because, in the long run, hope created
expectations
within an uncertain future.. and expectations were so powerful that they could make or break a person. The elder Seta was broken enough already, he didn't know what would happen if he began to expect that Souji would return his feelings only for that to be crushed once his brother announced that he had found someone else.

So he gave a small shaky smile, lifting a finger to gently run down the bridge of the silverete's nose as his other hand went to pull out his wallet.

"That was Yuki and Ryoji-kun. They're both Second Years, so be nice to them."
He murmured, taking out a crisp 10,000 yen bill before gently depositing it atop the wooden shoe-case just beside the front door.
"For the food I ordered."
Were his short words, mostly for Yosuke and Hibiki, before he turned and left with barely a soft click as the door closed behind him.

He really needed some air.. and a place where he could just not think. And he knew exactly where that place was.

So, with a soft whispered apology to the faraway Souji, Alcor hailed a cab before he was off zooming to Raven's Point.

[06:57 A.M.][Hibiki and Yosuke's Dorm]

'Come back here safely. I don't want you getting hurt. -laughs- I'll wait for you, brother. I know we can both go home separately, but...y'know.ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ'

The moment Alcor had stepped through the threshold of the wooden door, Souji had whipped out his phone immediately, knowing fully well that the elder needed his time alone to ruminate. A few moments after the door had been closed, a finger clicked the send button and off the message went, before the male sighed a heavy, burdened breath when the silver gadget went back into the safety of his coat pocket. He had intended and attempted to make the words as lighthearted and positive as possible, whilst coaxing the male to come back to him unharmed, because God knows how stressed, confused, and exhausted he was. Even a strange, cat-like facial expression had been added to the text, exhibiting Souji's desperation on a silver platter.

His second option would have been to immediately follow suit, hop on the Ducati, and follow the cab's trail, but his stiff legs felt glued to the coarse carpet, as if they knew that the silverete's presence would accommodate to nothing positive, and may only cause his own brother a larger abundance of pain. A blank, emotionless expression showed nothing, yet clearly showed everything as he made the colored frame an interesting subject of observation. Eyes that have lost their fervent glow peered downward to inspect a coat sleeve, and they slit ever so slightly at the remembrance of that kiss, tainting his brother's cheek. And only then, was the male concerned that his negative reaction had prompted more of a strain on their relationship that combined with their sinful activities the night prior.

What was he even wishing for, whenever he was with this man?

With a swift turn on his heel, Souji turned back to face Yosuke, who was propped up against the wall and apparently watching their tensed, sorrowful scene. All the silverete could do was stare into a pair of calming brown eyes, because no words were quintessential enough to even explain and describe the situation, let alone his own emotions.

His lids soon felt heavy, exhaustion's hands craving for the energy from his body; it desired to deplete every source he possessed, using his emotional vulnerability as an excuse and leverage to do so. But before his knees could give out, Souji plodded over to the water stained couch, stumbling one too many times, as if this was the day for the silverete to release his clumsiness because he's been too graceful and careful for way too long in this life. While not caring that it had just been drenched in water a few moments prior, and perhaps still so, the youngest Seta slumped and plopped down on the seating. His bottom bounced atop the foot of his friends' couch, hands dangling limply in between his legs, as he contemplated the depth of his and Alcor's state of affairs.

He crouched his upper body and buried his face in his hands, and breathed in and out shakily, as if it would calm down his sensitive nerves and racing thoughts. A remorseful undertone was apparent in the sorrowfully, tiredly in the spoken words that seeped out of the silverete's plump lips, his tongue darting out to wet the dry skin before disappearing back into a warm cavern.

"Hibiki, Yosuke, I'm sorry if that situation made you uncomfortable. I didn't mean for it to... be that way. I know that it was hard for both of you yesterday, and a relaxing day would have been nice. We were supposed to have fun today, and I..."

Albeit the secretary was cooking the pancakes he'd said he do earlier, Souji didn't come to the realization that the male might not be able to hear him because of the distance between them, or over the sizzling sounds of the oil spilled on the pan.

His eyes glazed over, the emotion completely obvious in the increasing creases and curves of his facial expressions that defined the words remorse and turmoil. Tilting his face to the side, Souji addressed his best friend, indirectly pleading for assistance even though he knew that there wasn't much that anyone could do to. Because all he needed was for Alcor's, and dare he say his, troubles with each other to be wished away. He desperately needed to know what he himself was feeling, what he desired with this man, and what he should do.

"I don't know what to do." The brittle voice sounded foreign to his ears, as if it was someone's voice entirely - weak and fragile.

The phone being safely kept in his coat pocket beckoned for him, thoughtless to the mere reality that calling just might be the worst choice he could choose to do. It hadn't even been ten minutes since the last text he sent, and now, he felt the wretched need to call so that he could hear that soothing, husky voice speaking words into his ear - so that this distressed wrought body would cease its worrying, knowing that his brother was still here.

Unforgiving was the need, and giving in was the product of that strong need. With a powerful reluctance in his mind, eager fingers grabbed at the tempting phone, hesitating before pulling it out to dial a set of numbers with quivering fingers. The moment the repeated ringing ensued, he scrutinized at the screen before bringing it to a ear. Like the flapping wings of a hummingbird, his heart thumped and vibrated in his ears, the looming anticipation rising within a moving chest.

Indecisiveness; Souji couldn't figure out if he wanted Alcor to pick up, or not.

[7:00 AM, Yosuke and Hibiki's Dorm]

Every event that can possibly happen will happen, no matter how abnormal, frightening, or sad it may be. This was something someone as unfortunate as Yosuke learned at a bit of a young age. If there was a trash can to collide into while on his bike, he would most likely collide into it. If his shoelaces were untied, he would most likely trip over them. If he were ever on a boat, it would most likely capsize and he would drown.

But events could be positive too. He could wind up going to school with a rich boy, someone from a completely different world than him, someone who was literally the exact opposite of him from the color of their hair to the tiny, unique aspects in their personalities, and somehow become friends with him. Best friends. The opportunity, the possible event, presented itself and Yosuke wound up talking to Souji Seta. He wound up becoming best friends with two brothers who were richer beyond his wildest dreams. He wound up not even caring that they were rich, only that they remain friends with him for as long as he lived.

And of course, the event of meeting the quiet, stoic, serious Hibiki. Somehow… That event worked out nicely. Yosuke tended to imagine the worst-case scenario in all things, but Hibiki and he wound up being good friends. They meshed nicely. They could have fun together. Hell, they even enjoyed when the other was around… for the most part. Yosuke knew he could sometimes be annoying, but Hibiki was a good sport and put up with him.

All good events. All worked out nicely.

But some events weren’t as clear cut as being good or bad. Say for example… Brothers. Brothers had a lot of paths they could follow, a lot of events in their lives together. They could wind up hating each other from these events or growing closer because of these events. And if they wound up hating one another they could end up never talking to each other again. But if they grew closer they could wind up getting jealous of others who earned the affection of one of the brothers. That jealousy could stem from love… Romantic or platonic. Platonic is the more… Normal case. But romance… It wasn’t out of the question.

It was just fucked up.

But in the back of his mind, Yosuke couldn’t help but feel an odd sensation… The same sense he always felt when he paid just a little too close attention to the details of people… When he saw things he felt he shouldn’t see.

But surely not these two… Not these brothers.

“Yeah well I suppose we’ve been thrown into a lot of uncomfortable situations recently, haven’t we?”

Yosuke glanced at Hibiki, wondering if perhaps the secretary had a way to fix this situation. If just maybe, Hibiki could magically think of a way to get Alcor back here and cheer Souji up and pretend like none of this ever happened. If anyone could do it, Hibiki could! Right??

Eh.

It was too much to ask for a nice, drama-free day, wasn't it? The universe was never so kind to Yosuke. Misfortune was strong in this one, and it seeped out into nearly every aspect of his life. A more selfish, hateful part of him thought that if the Setas never showed up today in the first place with their damn ducatis and damn drama that clearly didn’t get entirely solved the previous night, he and Hibiki might have had a good day. Their events might have played out well. They would have eaten good food, watched a ton of movies, danced (Yosuke would have forced Hibiki to dance of course), and if Makoto and Ryouji showed up it just wouldn’t have been a big fucking deal.

But no. The events that played out weren’t so nice.

Still, Yosuke supposed that if he had to pick a day of fun or a day of taking care of his favorite brothers/best friends, he would pick the latter. He would stay by his friends’ sides one hundred percent of the time. He wasn’t so shallow that he would abandon his friends in their time of need just to have fun.

Still… The stress of last night and whatever was happening today was weighing on him more than he liked.

“Don’t do it, Souji….” He had sounded nonchalant, careless, bored even, but his words were serious. Why call? Why call when it was so pointless? Why call when clearly both brothers needed some time to calm down? Why call when it would be better to talk when their minds had relaxed and they wouldn’t risk accidentally hurting each other’s feelings? Alcor had left for a reason after all.

Yosuke, with one last look at Hibiki that said… Not even Yosuke knew what kind of look he was giving his roommate. Something desperate and sad and helpless and begging to be removed from all these dramatic and depressing situations.

Life was always hard, but when had it really become THIS hard?

Yosuke made his way to Souji, plopped down on the couch next to him, and poked the phone that was held to his ear. “Keep it light. Keep it simple. And don’t get upset. I should take this from you, but… Eh. I don’t want Alcor to think there’s some weird reason you’re not on the phone and I am. Just… Make sure you both have space to breath, okay?”

Welp… He was never really that good at giving advice anyway.
