I̷̓́͐N͔̼̒̉͆̑̉͋Ţ͉̞̣ͅRͥ͋̎̑ͭ͏̩̰͕̗O̼͚̟̕

It was a rainy night. The fragrance of wet grass and pavement spread around naturally. Even so, the streets were busy. The city lights reflected in each next puddle , and one could barely see anything but opened umbrellas from above. Such was the view from where a dark silhouette stood on top of a tall building. The figure was firm, the raven black hair strands dripped from edges rain water. And that very same tall figure gazed down into the human's world, his bordeaux eyes displayed nothing but emptiness.

It has been a millennium since he last breathed in and from the air of mere humans. If it weren't for the late rumors that reached even his realm, he wouldn't have stepped even for a second in this dirty and disgusting world. Alas they said, there was a boy. A human boy that planned to tame the seven sins.

With a faint stretch of lips, the creature dismissed the idea of being tamed. There was not

a single chance to bow before a human, what left to serve one. Yes, so thought Pride.

It had been a while since he last set foot in the human world, the same time since he last took on that very form he could not believe was such a wuss. A good twenty years, but this place was different.

Lust was standing on top of probably the tallest building in the city. His eyes taking in all what he could see at that very moment. The very reason he had come into the human world was of the rumors that had circulated his kingdom. A boy was given the task of taming the seven sins; him and his brothers, and if rumors were indeed true, he was the first to be approached.

He felt his lips spread and let out the sound of laughter. The mere thought of him being tamed was a huge example amusement to him. As he stepped on close to the edge of the building, he felt him smile widen.

"This is going to be so much fun." He muttered and leaped, laughing into the night.

The surrounding area was barren and dry. Envy had been informed that a new being was to tame them, the idea amused him, but made him angry. He was not one to bow down to those below him. The mere idea sickened him. Blending in with the locals was a must or else be an easy target for the 'tamer' to spot him. He headed to the direction of lights, using his human form to blend in easily.

"Can't wait to meet him." He said to himself, a smirk playing on his lips. He clutched his necklace close to his chest.

A cool breeze pushing his bangs into his eyes. "Ugh. My realm is a lot more cozier than this place."

For an organism who hated even lifting his body off the ground and who considered motion a form of self punishment, entering the human realm was not a simple task. Sloth did not decide on it lightly, he'd thought of every excuse and argument why he shouldn't venture out of his own domain but even a hopeless being like him knew that it was important to take action this once.

A good distance away from the crowds, hidden in a passage humans avoided when it was dark, he struggled to become accustomed to the noise and liveliness of a world he'd forgotten long ago. It was unpleasant for him to have his ears flooded with the sound of pouring rain and the voices of a dozen other souls, his eyes exposed to bright lights. Many things were screaming for him to pay attention and show interest, it nearly made him dizzy. As soon as he was introduced to all of it he yearned to return to the monotonous landscape and absolute silence he was used to.

He could not remember the actual amount of time that had passed since he'd last been among humans and wasn't sure if he would find a word to describe it even if he did. The only measures of time he still knew were minutes, hours and days, those were the only ones he needed to govern his realm. Newcomers were the one's who counted time within his home and they were always swallowed by the murky waters before they could reach a full week. Still, even this short interval was enough for significant information to reach him through the whispers of his dying subjects. There was rumor a human would attempt to tame the sins, it was what brought him to Earth.

Drip. Drip.

Ripples explode along the still water's surface, silent sighs of it's echoes bouncing along jagged cavernous ceiling and bumpy walls. Dark was the place, the water deep and dangerous; sulfur permeating every crevice in a pungent flammable smog.

Drip. ... Drip. ... Drip.

A shift; faraway light glitter among soft waves of liquid disturbance, 72 pairs of golden-rimmed irises popping into existence with barely a whisper beneath the wet surface.

Tap... Tap.. Tap. Tap

Ripples break in loose waves, once still, the water now in disarray as steady footsteps skimmed past, parting eyes that burned with both malevolence and reverence. It wasn't often that their master called and even more scarce for him to appear as anything but a disembodied voice, reminiscent to what the eldest most often did. But they never questioned for fear, not of death, but of what came before. After all, when they die they just return back to hell. Such was a mercy the youngest of The Seven did not give.

"Paimon." Came the soft call, voice smoother than silk, tone steady and empty, reverberating throughout the dark cave like a golden bell.

Precious crown emerged first, breaching the water's surface in imperceptible rivulets, proceeded by a sweet face; neither categorized as man or woman, followed by a slim neck and only stopping at the hollow where clavicles met. The tip of a perfect nose nudged a pale afloat ankle, in silent homage.

"Goshujin-sama?" Was the sonorous yet melodic response.

"Prepare the 500 demonic legions we have. We'll have guests in Htrae soon." A gentle yet manic smile stretched shadowed lips.

A shiver ran through the demon king's frame as a pair white glowing irises regarded him in that manically delighted wide-eyed look. "H-hai, Goshujin-sama." Was the only breathy response the crowned devil could give.

And so Vitia began.

Cu.....aw.....

Cua...ww......

A loud croak echoed in the shadows. Drops of drenched drizzle glowed below the receding light slowing descending from withering flowers upon the grimy lawn. A couple of detached figures shined through the scene. Two fish crows stood into the framework's curb while couple of shadows remained around a proud figure seated beside the mauled animals. The creature stared upon the quiet dawning place as retraced the previous wandering news pissing into the wind around the realm.

As far as the gossip went. Apparently a human boy planned to tame the seven sins. The very same beings who ruled different realms around the universe.

Another shrilling squawk resounded into the darkness and took a moment to Gluttony to notice that the ear-piecing sound came no less from him. The corner of his mouth slowly lifted once more and he laughed one more time. A vicious vibration threatening to overmelt him, a lightning pulsation into his nerves. Albeit he shall never believe a mere human would be manage such an inconceivable venture. He barely could wait for such a performance. Things were particularly dull nowadays. Gluttony's mood swung to fairly uninterested to unruly irascibility. He, first time in centures was unsatisfied. Boredom was such a thing.

Humans were weak. Yet he appreciated such selfish beings. Those were known for heading for their desires like flies towards light, not ceasing the pursuit until satisfied. Either was money, power or meaningless perishable pleasures. No matter the risk, price or consequences. Essence kept them going. That was hunger.

Gluttony surely appreciated the humans.

"Sir?" A quivering whisper approached Gluttony.

"We shall go." He commanded.

Two black colored crows flew cawing around the place, four creatures vanished into the first rays of light belonging the rising sun.

Sounds....

Sounds so nerve wrecking, you couldn't even hear your own thoughts.

The honking of cars, talking people, some annoying music blasting out of a clothing shop.

Gonshiro hated the city. Less places to hide in, fewer places to enjoy the silence. Yet he couldn't allow himself to pick his way. His goal was clear and thus sacrifices must be made. If he wanted to tame the sins as he had been damned with, he would have to at least visit the place where the sins would most likely appear. His eyes drifted to his left arm. Under a fine layer of clothes was his secret hidden. The tattoo of Vitia. The beast told to bring the world to chaos. More often than not did he hear it chortle inside his head. It didn't fail to always remind him what will happen in the year to come.

Cursed, he had travelled to this city. In hope of finding at least one sin. He was missing real evidence how they are summoned but Gonshiro was easily able to make assumptions. When humans sinned, they were bound to come. Or at least their minions right? So he not only travelled to the city, he also went to the darkest district in down town. Drugs, prostitution, everything you could think of. Not the safest place for him but the curse made him stronger. He would be able to hold himself in a fight. Neither was he here to seek pleasure or the like. His eyes were just set on finding the sins. The first one being Lust. And where could he search if not in a ‘red light’ district?

I wonder, do they have a physical appearance? They are sins after all. But my curse is real too, I feel the beasts presence.

"Sire, the legend is true. It has begun."

As the messenger bowed and walked off, a grim smile played on Greed's mouth. It had been quiet, way too quiet in his realm. Day in and day out, he had itched for something to happen. Somehow, someone had heard his fervent pleas and granted his wish. It had been ages since he had set foot on Earth. It was the only place in the universe where he simply could not understand the mentality of the creatures, or humans as they were known as, that inhabited the place. He scoffed at the idea that a pitiful human was given the task of hunting down and defeating all the seven sins. Nevertheless, the whole idea fascinated him.

He called together his three advisors and told them about the journey he was going to embark upon. Ignoring their concerns and insistence that he didn't go, Greed told them that he had made up his mind. He asked them to look after the realm in his absence. Just before he left, he retrieved his lance. It was one of his most prized possessions. Once he was ready, he left his realm and made his way towards Earth, looking forward to what lay in store for him.

Though his visit was short, Lust was sure he would be returning to the human world not long after since he knew that there would be a lot to take care of once he starts living in it again. But as of the moment, he had to rest.

As he entered the portal that was connected to Astiaphae, the familiar sounds of pleasure could be clearly heard that it made Lust shiver in pleasure just from the sounds. There have been more and more people lately being brought to his kingdom, not that he was complaining. Of course the more people the higher the chances of him being pleasured over and over again.

"Master, your current pet is waiting." one of his several butlers came to his side as he entered the castle, and he couldn't help but smile.

"I will be on my way." Lust said with a grin, his fangs showing.

"This is going to be a fun night." He said as he entered a room, slowly revealing his latest plaything, all tied up and blindfolded, begging to be taken.

Four figures scrambled around the buildings. The piercing wind blowing over their skins as raw sharpened arrows. It was a long day. The travel had occupied most part of the time giving space to a chilling night. The human realm was quite peculiar and very different from Gluttony's realm, which the concept of hours, days, minutes were non-existent.

The little being farther behind strived to follow, as the only chasser, he surely had difficulty to keep up with his Majesty and the other two chasseur generals. Still wondering why he was brought together, Chasser secretly felt honored and fearful of his fate.

Chasser...yes. Since he still wasn't allowed to have a 'name'. A name was a gift. Something special that held much power and could define your strength and position in the realm. And also sometimes, define your fate.

Holding these thoughts Chasser allowed himself to focus on his Majesty. Broad shoulders blanketed with long silk braids. Hard skin and a faceless facade. An hypnotic and alluring aura. All those elements combined formed a savage yet much appealing appearance.

The Gluttony's realm was commonly known for its chaos, anarchy and all kinds of violence that usually occured, however 10% of its area, managed an status slightly 'civilized' in human standards. Albeit, the truth was awfully different. This tiny part was composed of a different class of anarchy. Instead of physical battles, they focused on political-philosophical confrontation, most time, Chasser didn't understand half words or intentions.

They suddenly came to a stop in a deserted building, a scrawny figure stood in a corner waiting for its guests. Gluttony, in a snail's pace, moved towards the being. The creature's scales bristled welcoming its company. Nodding respectfully as slowly opened his mouth to display a fair amount of fangs which seemed to be a smile. A rough voice came from its user.

"The elders have decided upon killing the human."

He continued his way into red light district of the city. Everywhere he looked, either some female selling herself or people buying drugs in some alleyway. Truly a dangerous area if you aren't used to these things. And even though Gon hated the city in general, he would rather walk the main streets with annoying cars and a mass of people instead of walking around this part of town. He didn't know if people even knew of the Curse of Vitia here, or if they cared rather. But no use thinking about others if you have a problem yourself.

Gonshiro stood outside a strip club called 'Rock n' Roll' with a naked neon woman winking towards him. Goosebumps appeared all over his body. Though not unexperienced in the art of sex, he would rather avoid getting laid. His past memories weren't really nice after all. It’s no phobia but being a romantic at heart, he would rather have sex with someone he at least knows instead of some random guy or girl. Thankfully it was still a club; he didn't have to get someone. At least he hoped that Lust would just appear out of thin air. Luck played a large part in it, if Lust would head their call. The tattoo would tell him when one of the sins is in close proximity. Why or how, Gonshiro didn't know. But that was one of the information’s he was able to gather till now.

Snowy locks fluttered against the muggy breeze, shadowing diamond eyes as they stared at the bright neon of the club's name; an advertisement for everyone to see. A pale slender hand twitched, black nails tracing infinite lines on the leather fabric of the knee it was propped onto. A free leg dangled down the edge of a building roof, toes of a bare foot tapping along an imaginary rhythm.

It had been centuries since he had visited the human world in the guise of his antithesis. The air was just as pungent as he remembered, people as petty as their predecessors, just as ignorant.. just as consumed by their own supposed uniqueness and cosmic importance. Oh how he loathed them all; how he just wanted to see them all burn, watch as their very skins melted off their bones. Humans, demons, angels, deities, the world, the universe; they were all the same in his eyes. Nothing but water to quench the inferno that raged within expressionless facades.

"Ne, Pride, do you think I'll still be angry even when everything else is gone?" Soft curious words spoken within the empty air just as feathery lashes blocked-out the glare of the vibrant 'Rock 'n Roll' name. "Ne, Lust, don't lose or I'll burn you too." Childish smile curved inexpressive lips.

And with a silent windy sigh, Wrath was gone.

The chilly air was a huge contrast to his warm realm. The atmospheric pressure was light, he nearly walked with a bounce in his step. Like a curious child, he looked around at his surroundings. Plants and wildlife seemed to thrive even in this barren wasteland. He didn't like it. Nothing was suppose to grow here. He grit his teeth.

"How can this land even have the nutrients to grow vegetation? It sickens me." He spat.

He was tempted to destroy the vegetation, but that would be rather idiotic of him. That would give away his location to that...human tamer. He'd rather not be the first to fall.

As he finally approached the town, he noticed it was rather lively. Lights blinding him. The sounds were enough to drive any man insane. As his eyes grew accustomed to the bright setting, the scent of car exhaust nearly made him gag. This was not like the sulfuric aroma of his realm. All this comparison was making vile rise to his throat. If he wanted to 'fit in', he needed to change his persona to better assimilate. Changing his bitter disposition into a more cheerful one.

Since he had last visited, the Earth had changed quite a bit. There were more humans everywhere, noise levels had increased and the chaotic atmosphere gave rise to more crimes being committed and more people sinning. Greed took a deep breath and smiled. He was surely going to enjoy his stay here on Earth. In order to mingle with the people, he closed his eyes and transformed himself into his human form.

As he walked down the street, he caught sight of his reflection in one of the shop windows. He discreetly examined his features, rather pleased with what he saw. Then he set off, walking towards the town where he had a feeling he would get a glimpse of the human who was going to be chasing all the sins down. He was also hoping that he would bump into the other sins on the way. Wrapping his cloak tightly around himself, he walked swiftly and surely.

Employing his muscles and moving with fluid motion were skills Sloth would have to learn again and he wasn't looking forward to the endless hours of practice that awaited him. His nature dictated he stay still and silent but too many things bombarded his senses and he needed to flee from them. Firstly, he only shifted his massive form experimentally and as expected, found that every fiber was stiff and his limbs barely responsive. A continuous array of groans and strangled cried sounded from his lips and his inhuman features contorted with pain and anger as he pushed himself up, dependent on the wall behind his back to keep him from tumbling back down. Throughout the process he could only think of his hate for his own body that was stronger than any other emotion he knew, he was sure the dead would have less difficulty rising from their graves than he was having only to prop himself onto a pair of insecure legs. He yearned for that moment when movement would become a endurable deed but remembered that it wouldn't come soon. However, the next step that would bring him closer to it was somewhat more enjoyable than what he'd done so far.

Reluctant at first, Sloth initiated the change. He hissed at the sensation of being broken down into the structure of a human but the sound became weak as his demonic voice morphed and became softer. The small shape he converted to was many times lighter than the previous one and he was under the impression that he'd partially freed himself from his burden. Just as he became satisfied a flash of light made it into his now blue eyes and he was reminded to retreat into a calmer place, away from the heart of the city. He swayed after separating from the concrete surface that was his support but managed to find balance and began to slowly make his way deeper into the dark passage. He walked with an odd gate, shuffling one foot in front of the other sluggishly still trying to recover from the few century long paralysis he'd put himself through. Unknowingly, while avoiding every place that seemed crowded, he made his way towards the slums, searching for somewhere he can grow static again.

Mood Set || The Promise [

]

Long eyelids parted as bordeaux orbs reflected a faint glow in the night. It was the silver disk of the dusk, it always was that which bathed in his eyes, for no human could stand before the cruelty of theirs, and no demon could handle the ruthless stare of theirs. On his firm shoulder a black raven landed gracefully. Its wings stroked against as it shook faintly head. The demonic bird was the only creature that could come so close to Pride. On the other hand though many rumors spoke that Pride probably didn't exist among the seven sins, for no one had seen him for over a millennium. But ignorant were they, all of them. And cursed were these who knew him - a reason for the youngest sin, Wrath, to be so destructive and a reason for the Devil to bathe in humans hatred..

Slow taps accompanied him in the silence, the tall figure of the sin walked into a deserted zone known as Chernobyl. The place carried the scar of time, and such a deep scar could leave holes in the universe as well. Many powerful demons could use these holes as a gateway to Hell. The still poisonous dust beneath his feet was spread across the dead zone by the light wind; Pride stood tall before a bent block, his dull stare fixated onto the sorrowful defect caused by no one but humans themselves. It was hard to watch all this time - humans really never learnt. It was that which got his blood boil, why he had to be called on Earth.. He despised everyone and everything - God, the Devil, the other sins, humans, whatever it breathed or not - all was off better if gone and Nothingness only existed, for Pride was the 'empty everything'.

The slightly long nails sank into his clenched hand, drawing a few crimson drips of blood. As soon the liquid crashed into the ground, the whole area sagged into another dimension. The wind stopped and its whistles grew to muteness. It was the silence of Hell gates that scratched one's senses with their opening motion - the mute screams of lost souls.

The sin's figure disappeared into the blackness, Hell was to witness the first sinner from 'blood and flesh'.

He does not remember the last time he had been scolded by his head butler. He had enjoyed himself with his latest pet last night. Maybe he even enjoyed too much, for after having denied him for almost nine hours, the boy, who looked no younger than seventeen, had spouted curse words at him and bit hard on his tongue. Death.

Lust was very sensitive to smell, especially those who reeked of death, and being in front of one almost had him hurl every last drop of the wine he had savored before meeting his late...pet. Which was what made his head butler nag at him from the very moment we woke up that morning. "This amount of nagging is making me remember someone I don't even want to think about." Lust had said to him when the nagging butler pulled his blanket away and started pulling him by the legs, which was the only way to actually wake Lust up from his delirious world.

It's not that Lust hated Pride. It was just that the older man would tend to tower and nag at him before, the same way his butler would, because, well...Pride was way older than him. The mad had every right and position to tell him off, but...whatever. It's been a very long time since he saw Pride, and one thing was for certain, because of that rumor, he was so not excited to see the man. Again.

After he had changed, Lust headed for the portal that was connected in his room to the human world. The scene changed to that small park beside the city hall. It was late at night, and that portal was in a blind spot, so Lust did not have to worry with regards that anyone had seen him. "Well then," he stated, flexing his fingers then clenching them in a fist, as if trying to assure himself that his body was ready for the change. "Let's do this." The first that he felt shift were his fangs, as it shaped itself like regular teeth, no more sharp fangs. Then he saw his hair grow at least four more inches longer and change to that familiar teal color he liked, as well as his golden eyes shifted to his inhuman red yes. Which happened to be his most eye catching physical trait. He smiled and closed his eyes when his transformation ended, "And now, it's time to rest."

"The elders have decided upon killing the human."

The air surrounding the building became death-chilling dropping at least 10 celsius, a tiny chasser flinched while others chasseur managed a single trembling.

".....We shall extinguish his life force!" The elder fiercely declared.

Gluttony felt the corners of his mouth slowly becoming a smirk.

Whether the reason was to his subordinates weakness or the being's reasoning right in front of him, he couldn't tell.

The foolishness wasn't new. He was prepared for such obvious conclusion when he gave the freedom for the most fearsome elders from the realm to give their 'opinion' regarding the 'human's matter' yet he wondered whenever he should regret the decision or celebrate the chaos and destruction brought.

"Light without darkness

exists not,

life without death

exists not.

Hallowed by Thy name,

the chosen one shall

tame the beast.

Seven art thy fearsome names,

seven art thy holy powers.

Thus shall be named

'Septem vitia capitalia."

The seven deadly sins shall be tamed each by the order of Lust. Envy. Gluttony. Greed. Sloth. Wrath. Pride.

....Too late. The Sins had already began to move. Too late. Wheels of fate had already settled. Too late. Gluttony's hunger had already revived in full scalding force. Too late. Just......Too late.

''The human cannot be killed.'' Gluttony declared matter factly.

Yet How many times you can kill a being without extinguishing its existence?

"Your Grace.........." The elder drawled. "Thou cannot be thinking...."

Gluttony smiled. "The next procedures remain the same. Report the results upon my return."

The chasseur and little chasser bowed in respect. "Yes. Your Majesty!!!"

Thus Gluttony flew.

Gon released a low sigh. It was his best bet to start in a place where a sin manifested itself. And where was a better way to start if not in a prostitution/strip club. Nothing happened till now however. To tame the sins he had to do something. What he had to do he didn’t really know. He knew about the chants but didn’t know their content. Obviously they will have to do something with the sins they represent but he didn’t know the lines. He had to come up with them himself, since until now he never found a way to get them. They weren’t written anywhere, nor is Gonshiro a poetic person. So he either had to find them through luck or he had to ‘befriend’ the sins so they gave him their script. Lastly would probably rather led to his death instead of his wanted aim.

While thinking about it like all those years before the young lad sipped absentmindly on his shot. Usually Gon wasn’t a drinker. Alcohol didn’t really keep up with his tastes but it was nice to escape reality once in a while. But he wasn’t here to get drunk. Neither was he here for the woman that already started flirting with him. Technically he wasn’t even an adult, he was still underage. And even if he would grow up, his life would just end when reaching said adulthood. But speaking about it, the security was pretty lax here. No one asked for his ID or any other identification. They just accepted him like any other paying customer. It spoke for the establishment and for the district it was in. But enough about that.

Lust. Lust for the body, lust for love, lust for riches. In a sense, most Sins had something in common. Lust for money and greed for example. In a way, every sin was connected so he wondered if that had some sort of meaning. Pride brought forth wrath and greed. Greed would follow Lust and Envy. Then would be Gluttony and then Sloth. Gon wasn’t religious despite the curse upon himself, but he remembered that Pride gave birth to all of these feelings. So Pride was probably also the strongest sin. He had to tame Lust first and if he would succeed, then it might be easier to find the other sins. But first he had to lure Lust out and secondly think about a way to get his script. First he would try with the direct way to get the script, to confront the sin. If that didn’t work and he wouldn’t be killed then he would try to search for the script. But that would be the harder path, since he had no clue where to start looking.

Sharp blades of leaves rustled and parted in Wrath's passing, muddy ground clinging unto dirtied bare feet. Loud, the animal inhabitants were; aggressive with bristling fur, unsheathed claws and dripping fangs. But all wisely stayed away and opting to remain hidden within the confines of their shadowed sanctuaries. Feathered creatures circled above, singing their war songs and littering the sky with the glint of their virulent colors. A volcano rumbled it's anger nearby.

The swamp swallowed eighty-percent of the island; dense with fog and laden with deep pits of mud that was a sure deathtrap to any mortal unlucky enough to be lured in. Ruins of a civilization long past lay mossy and overgrown at the foot of the rumbling mountain; floors and walls of stone originally made as a sign of progress now nothing but mementos of a forgotten culture, left to shade the ashen remains of those who had once built them.

Tap.

The slap of skin against stone echoed in steady intervals even among the beastly clamor; the following grind of rubble gone unheard as the ground shook and the screech intensified. A white eyebrow twitched, thick-lashed lids narrowing in unseen annoyance.

Sun-dried human corpses, speared from rectum to mouth, lined the antiquated pavement; all but just dark leather of skins clinging on fractured bones. Their empty sockets regarded Wrath with silence as the youngest passed through like nobility, taking everything in yet only seeing the destination. And just beyond that ghost of a town, gaped the cave that led to the volcano's belly; dark and pungent with noxious gas, the slow ooze and bubble of molten rocks and metal the only one giving the place any form of light, no matter how inconsequential it may be. And underneath all that, the glint of fossilized remains shone with an ominous glow.

A colorless smile graced Wrath's lips.

  • 2 weeks later...

For a long while as he wandered the streets, Sloth's mind was preoccupied with the newly rediscovered sensation of repeatedly shuffling his legs one in front of the other, but eventually he became accustomed to it enough to concentrate on other things. He wondered where he would find the human that was causing him all this trouble, the Earth wasn't very big compared to many other realms but also wasn't an area he could go out and com through in a few days, he needed somewhere to start his search. There was also the question of what he would do once he found this person, it would be easiest for him to just observe them and resist being tamed but he felt it was expected of him to take some action other than that.

Many other questions swarmed in his head and brought an annoyed frown to his face before he dismissed them all and decided not to burden himself with them yet, he estimated he would have time to figure things out later.

As he drifted deeper into the run down outskirts of the city he could notice the people he passed by stare at him with a puzzling property in their eyes. Most of them were in rags and for each one standing there were a few scattered on the ground among makeshift shelters. His odd gait gave the impression that he belonged in the area but apparently the rest of his appearance did not.

None of this mattered to him though, he ignored the humans altogether and focused on the corners and shady places he could potentially use as a place to settle. A cramped spot between two wooden structures seemed like it would serve the purpose and he clumsily descended among the few boxes that already occupied part of the space.

- I vote for killing the human! Your Highness, we can extract the beast once the mortal's soul leaves the body! - a suggestion echoed in a dark room that resembled court. In the far, on his ever so powerful throne, Satan was mighty sitting.

- No. If we don't success, it might take another century to find Vitia. - yet another demon objected as stood up from his place.

- You are a fool! It doesn't matter if the human is alive or not! We must safeguard Vitia, that is all that matter!

- Alive or not? Vitia relies fully on his life force!

As the demons argued among each other, Satan's lips stretched in an obvious delight. His red orbs stared forth, piercing through the crowd and reaching the big gate that soon was able to frame the dark figure of a tall man.

The yells started lowering down to whispers until only the taps of his footsteps were audible.

- Well, well. It is such a surprise to see you, ...Pride. - a short pause just so Satan could savor the moment when his tongue rolled off the male's name, - Could it be, you came to join us?

The raven on Pride's shoulder kwak'd loudly, snapping instead of his master. Who did Satan think he talked to!?

- Join you? - a tilt of chin as the small amount of light coming from candles could finally illuminate the hatred in his eyes.

How the Hell's King loved these eyes; all sins bathed in them but mostly this egoistic vanity.

- Don't put me on same level as these trashes.

- Of course, of course. I'd gladly hear though your suggestion. You came to put your vote, didn't you?

Pride's brows sharpened as his gaze did, his lips revealed the sharp yet small fangs. The male had to sarcasm his master silently. Vote? As if he would step out of his Realm just for a vote. Yet again, Satan caught on quick; he knew Pride wasn't one to talk much but whenever he spoke he made sure the ominous feelings he held would reach anyone.

- I came to make a bet with you.

- A bet? - Satan's voice rose slightly with curiosity.

- Seven months.- Pride made a pause as his eyes oozed same authority as Satan's, - If in seven months you make the human sin, I would tame Vitia for you.

Satan knew very well that Pride was once part of Heaven. He could walk out and in, so if Hell could find an opening that would be most possible with Pride's help, the oldest sin.

- Interesting. But what makes you think I need you now? I have six sins more and Hell's army. What can you offer me more than they can? - Satan lifted a brow.

- I would crack open Heaven's Gates for you.

- I like that. - a wicked grin took place over Satan's lips but soon enough darkened, - And what's the other side of the bet?

Pride's eyes dulled as the raven spread wings. The shadow thrown in the room started devouring demonic fear straight off Satan's servants.

- If however the human withstands all my children, I will seal Vitia forever.

The room grew louder, the demons disagreed and a roar started.

- QUIET! - Satan yelled, - ... So you want to tell me, you don't want Hell to reign?

- I couldn't care less whether Hell or Heaven wins.

- What is your objective?

Pride made several steps forth, just to pause before Satan's throne,

- Your death.

The quiet Devil burst in laughter. It was so typical of Pride to hate and desire power over Satan.

- Very well. I won't go easy on him, you know that. You underestimate the other six sins, Pride. You underestimate me.

The sin left his answer wander in the silence. A swoosh made with spin of heels, he turned around. The calm taps of his footsteps echoed as he headed for the exit.

- I expect you to keep your trash-dogs away from the human, until the bet is over.

With last words his figure disappeared into the darkness once again. A bet between the Devil and Pride, everyone spread the news; from Realm to Realm: Pride was awoken. No one but the sins could dare to come in contact with the Vitia boy, and so Pride requested.

Unsure of how he had ended up in the middle of the park was something that had made Loke's face deadpanned. He didn't know why he was there when the last thing he remembered was sleeping...for a very long time.

"So it is...my time once again..." It wasn't a question. Though Loke didn't know the identity, he knew that there was someone else inside him. Someone sinister, and yet, surprisingly, that very being hasn't seemingly done anything uncouth using his...well, their body, and though Loke hasn't seen the person within him, he has often remembered talking to the other being, mentioning a cartilage earring on his left ear, and that it would protect him from...something he could not remember. A heavy sigh escaped his lips. "Well...whatever. Better go home..." as his strides continued on, a though had made him halt in his advance.

"Which was...where exactly...?"

Within him, Lust laughed. "Oh dear me, this poor boy is as clueless as ever." As Lust chuckled in the amusement his human form is experiencing, he had messed with Loke's head and placed in information of the house he had bought in the human world for Loke to live in. "Thank me later, my other half." and with that, Lust had closed his eyes and enjoyed his long-awaited nap once again.

  • 2 weeks later...

Amusement; obvious and sudden, slowly curled usually flat lips, sharp pearly whites glinting beneath the pink flesh as they slowly hitched higher. Bright white irises gazed at the so called 'meeting' through a tear in time and space.

Demon Lords, Kings, Princes; Wrath recognized them all. A few were even a part of his 72 Commanders. They all wanted the human dead, it seemed. Wanted Vitia born. And Satan had immediately assumed that the youngest would support him. Had thought that Hell on earth was what Wrath wanted.

It would seem that way, with his nature. He didn't blame the 'supposed' Ruler to immediately think of that. Should Hell be unleashed, it would be easier for Wrath to just go and kill. To go and destroy. And perhaps they'd even be able to challenge Heaven itself when that was done. But the problem was, Demons would be under Satan's protection should that happen. The youngest didn't want that. He wanted them all gone, destroyed. Erased. And that list included Satan himself. Should Vitia be revived, Satan would become all-powerful. Would be able to challenge God. And Wrath would be out of his league.

The King was very powerful, but he was not omnipotent just yet. Wrath could kill him, with some help. Wrath would eat him, would consume him, would burn him. Would take his power as his own. Then.. then Heaven would be next. He'd show Earth that Hell and Heaven would burn. He'd make them all understand that nothingness was the only reality they needed. Then maybe, maybe after that he'd stop feeling the itch. Maybe after that his skin would stop crawling with the need to burn everything in sight. Maybe when nothingness reigned he'd stop hating.

Blank, his face returned, one hand lifting to close the tear, only to open ten new ones. Beyond was not of Satan's throne room. Beyond, where Earth was distorted, where no living flesh could survive, where there was the sound of chains and trumpets even though no air existed. Beyond lay Htrae. And from it, ten Revenants came with their hissing sighs and rattling manacles.

They floated in a circle, tall and imposing with dark tattered robes beneath spiked and broken armor, all held together by the chains of the world that bound them. Besides their garments, they held no corporeal form, rather, smoky wisps of what their soul had once been lay shifting in languid tendrils rested within. They all towered at 15 feet, from the lowest link of their chains to the very tips of their petrified helmets.

With crimson orbs for eyes, they gazed at the remains of an unknown creature to man. Wrath knew what it was: the shell of the snake Satan had been in Eden. Discarded once punishment had been set. It wasn't powerful, but it was unique. It couldn't carry life, but Wrath wasn't planning on giving it one. After all, life came from Humans, Demons and Angels. His Revenants, on the other hand, carried only death.

So with a minuscule flicker of a nod, ten giants bent and was swallowed whole.

And with a deafening boom, the volcano erupted.

Once he adjusted to his surroundings, Envy decided that he was ready to shut himself inside the talisman. Giving his human body a chance to take over and continue the search for the human without jeopardizing his victory. He'd rather not be seen as a weak sin. He already had suspicions that he was considered weak and useless, causing him to feel angry and try to prove to them that they were the weak ones, not him.

"It appears that the Vitia has been revived again."

Envy had kept a close eye to the occurrences of the human world. He mostly focused on the human realm. The squabbles of Heaven and Hell were of no interest to him. It was the same thing from what he had last seen. Besides, humans were more interesting. For having such short lives, they could accomplish so much. And the destruction they caused to one another and their surroundings...it was beautiful. He envied them in a way. They didn't have to live an immortal life. He'd end it if it was possible. This empty void was painful to say the least. The hatred he felt for those who never had to carry this weight...he needed to have others feel this emptiness.

Before he had left his empty hole of a world, he had taken The Evil Eye. A talisman he clipped around his left wrist like a bracelet. A blue eye encrusted with Obsidian stones. It would keep his true self from appearing in inconvenient times. Since he was doing this completely on his own. He didn't have a single slave or servant. Why would he? So he would rely on them like his siblings? That's just pure laziness and weakness in his eyes. How else could he prove his strength?

He clipped it to his wrist, feeling himself being locked away. The bright lights of this sinful city were enchanting. He desired to mingle with others. Feeling as if he hadn't socialized in ages, he entered a buzzing pub. Where people chatted and sipped liquor. He smiled, feeling the coziness of the atmosphere. As he spoke with other people, he felt like he was forgetting something. With a shrug, he continued his mingling.
