Saga Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 If I could pick a flower to give it to you, I'd risk the tremble of the earth and the curse of the stars. If I could see beyond your darkness, I'd risk to take on all your hatred. But did I pick a thorn? And did I get lost in the dark? If I could understand the root of your pain, I'd risk the thousand arrows of a betrayal. If I could just rip apart all that tore your humanity away, I'd risk to wear the suit of a monster. But did I only cause nothing but more pain? And did I become the calamity? If I could read in your eyes, I'd take all the truth and beyond. If I could become like you, I'd be just another doll of yours. But did I fall for the truth before it fell for me? But did my skin crack, for the porcelain shone? If I could just become your friend but not the foe, I'd be your most loyal pawn. If I could change the present for you fear me no more, I'd beg thousand of gods for you find what you wanted the most. But did I always get on the side of your cons? But did I send you off to the endless pit of hell? Truly, you never accepted my flower. So pick your gun, and face me before my heart spills to moondust. ..but did it? [dedicated to the you from yesterday.]
鼠ドル Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Beautiful as always, Saga-dear. I'm a bit indecisive about whether or not I like the ending (but I can't for the life of me tell you as to why - maybe it just doesn't fit in my mind quite right, who knows?), but I adore the poem as a whole and I love the rhythm of it, the images you paint. Keep on writing~
Saga Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 I suppose because I break the 'balance'. *winks* Thanks, Nezu, Milady.
