chocoponkan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I've been actually addicted to yaoi mangas like Haru wo Daiteita that gives some realistic plot, at the same time the Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi series, which has some girly effect. I'd say that both are great either way, and they have that power of love in each couple.(which we all get crazy about. XD) SO.. WHAT DO YOU THINK? WHICH IS GREATER? REALISTIC, OR GIRLY?:hamtaro-005 (9):
celio Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I also like realistic and girly types XDD both of them always make me flutter.. But I guess I like the realistic type more, because the story somehow more touching and moving. So remarkable!!!
hinata831 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I truefully like girly and realistic types.
Ka-chan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Hmm... realistic types, I think. owo But, the girly ones are nice too I suppose~ But I do prefer realistic ones x3
OnigiriYum Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 i like most is realistic... but girly's nice too...
Belita Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Honestly speaking, and looking at my favourite kind of characters, i would say i'm a realistic type lover. It's not like i dislike girly types, don't get me wrong but prefer... i do really prefer the realistic! ^^ HOT BOD's everywhere!
ukemextreme Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'd go for the realistic types too. The genres that I like are kinda between office workers and students and anything with professions or something so I think I'm a realistic type fanatic. Girly guys are cute too but I guess if it's too much, it'd be like a typical shoujo manga :
Gatichan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 It mostly depends on my mood, I think. I like girly types when I have a lot of stress in RL and don't want anything heavy. But I couldn't read them the whole time. So yeah, I guess I prefer realistic types in the long run, but couldn't do without both!
nicicia Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "girly types". You mean like shoujo type BL? Or like with kind of silly or over the top plots? I guess then I like more realistic. Well I say realistic, if fantasy stories are considered "realistic". lol But it doesn't have to be fantasy. I find a lot of stories interesting. It depends of what I'm in the mood for. Most times I want deep stories, and occasionally I want something that is just fun, a little silly and not entirely serious. So...both then? idk
Sloan Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Realistic all the way. Guys don't express their emotions easily like some depicted. I prefer other means of showing love. They're more violent in nature. That's why we see rape or force a lot, I think. However, I don't always think it's realistic. It all depends on the characters and how they think in the surroundings. That alone ultimately will make me conclude if it's fully developed. The more development there is, the more realistic it becomes. Sometimes I've seen movies, the girly types, particularly two or three japanese BL movies... and that is solely for girls audience and it was so poorly scripted that it makes you think it's all just eye candy and no substance! Thus not realistic at all.
juugatsuni Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 i prefer realistic types though not hating on girly types; to each of our own.
ohthelulz Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 well realistically speaking, there are girly guys too...? or like, real gay love stories which run like the girliest of schmoopy romcoms. haha but i get the idea. both are good. it depends on the writing, really.
Seija Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'd for realistic type as well. I love how the characterizations are in realistic stories. As Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. said, the story looks more moving and touching and that's what I love too. And a too much shoujo-like storyline with men can quickly get on my nerves xD
Mik Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I like both But if one is overly-done, then that's another thing. Especially in "girly" types BL. When all fluffy stuffs and sugar-coated romances are put, then I'm dropping the show or manga. But when it's just balance, an angsty at the same time fluffy themed, then it's okay
yukino kyo Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'll go with a realistic type, :cuteonion50: they are more honest and down to earth... rabbit14
hika-haru Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Hnn.. For me, i think i like both of them. Depending on my mood i guess. xD Ahh. But, i don't like it when it's too girly.. It's just... too much fluffiness i guess.
BlueRayman Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I think there is a place for both and I wouldn't class the 'girly' type as unrealistic myself. I personally like the kinda 'average-guy' on the outside 'girly' on the inside type but that's because I identify with that type
Ryusuke92 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 i would not appreciate fluff in anime/manga/fics yaoi, but i prefer only fluff no hardcore yaoi in my rl idol shippings
gin Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 .I hafta choose realistic ones since men are had this manly sides within no matter if they are hetero or homo. Sticking to reality makes me stick to yaoi and if it turns out to be girly stuff--then i'd rather read a shoujo-crazed manga. So that's spice Yaoi up, its realism.
Shiroi ookami Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 depends on my day. If I need an escape I go with girly if my day's rather dull I choose realistic
Yatogami21 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I prefer both, as long as the plot, story and character development of the yaoi series is great =)
greenbunny2468 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Realistic with a psychological edge. Though I also like the girly type, I tend to shift more towards the realistic ones.
