Talking about Indonesia's food made me drooling ... well, I'm from Indonesia:P

I like spicy food, each place have their own signature dish in Indonesia.

 

Padang: Rendang

Jakarta: Ketoprak, Kerak telor

Yogya: Gudeg and Wedang

Bandung: Seblak

Bali: Ayam Betutu

Lombok: Satay Bulayak, Satay Rambiga(My favorite one)

SUrabaya: Rojak Cingur

I might be going to Indonesia within the next year. My partner's been talking about Bali instead of New Zealand as our next holiday because it's cheaper. I don't mind because I speak a tiny bit of the language. Food will be difficult though because she's vegetarian. Does anyone know any places that serve vegetarian food?

i don't know places, but maybe you could try order "all vegetables food" like GADO-GADO or PECEL, GUDEG, etc.

Oh, thank you for that! There sure are a lot! I'm not worried any more. My partner's just saying that it's a Buddhist region so of course there are lots of vegetarian restaurants. Yummy! Gudeg sounds nice. I love jackfruit.
