How did you get into Yaoi?

let's see... actually, I start to know yaoi from Naruto. There is a volume(I forgot the volume) that naruto used orioke no jutsu(If I'm not worng) and then turned into form sasuke x sai. And that time I was like this-->:Red_fox: Since that time, I got into Yaoi. I can't get my mind out of it. I'm really happy to know yaoi in my life. Very very happy~~onion3:cuteonion41:

I discover yaoi when I'm 15 years old, I'm in highschool on that time. Before I discover yaoi, I like to watch hentai boy x girl only cause its so arousing, and I only find yuri too boring and never aroused at all. I discover yaoi thru internet when I found an original fanart of two bishies kissing, and they called it shounen-ai. I googled it to find out more and there's were I discover yaoi, its like more sexually explicit one. I start to addicted to this fandom by looking at many beautiful fanart and some yaoi CG from visual novels, I find it hot and beautiful (but I'm not aroused to that genre either) I only find it weird first cause its said it mostly targeted among female audiences, but I don't care even I'm a guy, I really love it at all. It is my current (and secret) obsession that I really love, and whenever I watch some, I only feel happy at all.

It was the same for me. I got tired of boyXgirl and ended up trying something new, which was yaoi and BL... I ended up getting hooked and now they're one of my favorite genres

Almost 15 years ago, I went off the deep end in anime fandom. I considered myself an otaku (American definition), and felt that it was part of my duty to see something from every genre, yaoi included. So I watched Ai no Kusabi. And the story itself was quite interesting, enough so that I watched a few others, then heard about this new anime called Gravitation. That series... snapped some things in my brain to let me discover who I am, and it's only gone downhill from there. (Of course, downhill isn't a bad thing; it's so much better to sled down a hill, for instance.)

So I got into yaoi when I was in my second year of middle school, I was at home it was Saturday night when toonami would come on and this is before adult swim owned it.

I watched some AMV and I saw one of guys from Junjou Romantica, I don't remember who, and I was like "hes so cute, gotta watch this anime" And then I read summary of that anime and I was like "wait, wait, wait... WHAT?!, so they are both guys and they are like...u know...I'm outta here!" And then tomorrow I was like "I'm curious, maybe I should try watching it..."

I just sorta Stumbled upon Gravitation while randomly buying anime DVD. Yaoi aside, the story is interesting enough, but their love story spice things up and I start craving for those kind of story. Then I discovered Junjou Romantica and the rest followed....

I was looking for more mangas to read and I just sorta stumbled upon it. I forgot what exactly was my first yaoi manga but I always choose my mangas basically on the art. And there are a looot of yaoi mangas at have very sugoii art. Maybe at that time I didn't bother reading the synopsis. And then boom! I felt the butterflies and got hooked into boyXboy relationships and became a supporter. Haha it actually teaches us a looot of things.

I had just gotten into anime when I saw a fan art with two anime male characters holding hands in someone's signature on a forum.

 

I didn't understand it, I couldn't recall those two being so close in the series and wasn't aware the fan art and so on existed. I'm not sure what really happened in that space of a few weeks, somehow I had become an anime fan, had a yaoi OTP and was eating up their fanfics. There's no way I could resist the sexiness of it all.

Well,I was losing interest watching shounen anime when I was using this app to watch them.Then one day I came across this anime that's had one guy holding another.So,me being curious,I added to my favorites and watched it.i became hooked immediately, even though I thought it was kind of embarrassing at first.So at the beginning I watched a lot of shounen-ai,then I drifted into yaoi manga----and it went on from there.That first shounen-ai I watched was Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, then Junjou Romantica. My first yaoi manga was Daikirai na Aitsu.

Ahaha i started to get bored and wondered off to here but first it was just written fiction, like on wattpad and such then i relized i had read every single decent one (due to the fact that i have no life) and ended up with manga

Wayyyy back then when i discovered about anime. I was really into inuyasha and my teenage self was very curious about looking at...him...in a different way i started searching for stuff and thus i stumbled upon a yaoi website for inuyasha fan art and stuff.

 

I don't really remember what happened much after that but i do know one of my old diaries had a picture of inyuasha and mikoto in it and many more...
