Cadis "Zei" Ashenbert (22)

The game is my life. It demands loyalty and responsibility, and it gives me back fulfillment and peace.

Hence I shall abide. Indeed, Master's words are absolute--

Cadis is a pet of the highest pedigree. He's a property of the Duke of Luxor, Richards Ashenbert and is by far the famous pet in their country. Cadis, when in front of his respected master, always keep his emotions away thus making his master's wishes his utmost priority. Seeing his master's delight is enough for him and he's fairly a perfectionist of any sort. Though entirely, Cadis is just an empty shell, having his master as his only foundation to life.

  • He wears an all white military uniform as what his master desired.
  • He hates obnoxious and nosy people.

The cold air made a slight spasm in his back muscles. They even said that there's no wrong deed that goes unpunished. Remembering the events that had taken place last day, Cadis stretched his swollen arms. Wounds, cuts, bruises and burnt; name it, he had it. He well know that his master is one hell of a cruel man. If you dared reject his orders nor slightly rebuke or even hesitate; the outcome will be excruciating and horrid.

He did just offered a meal to the famished servant and this is what he'd got; a hundred lashes and other punishments that need no further explanation. It was never been the first but this one was the most excruciating punishment he'd experience, thanks to his master's display of a bad mood. He slowly moved atop the layered fabrics just to keep his master from not waking up.

"Who told you to stand--" the other male interrupted as he harshly grabbed the golden chain that was connected from Cadis' collar.

"nngh." he moaned painfully as his vocal chords where constricted tightly by the item.

"--I'm still not done with you." his cold voice made Cadis' ears twitch as it send chills down to his spine.

Age: 24

Personality: secluded, repulsive, hot tempered, mean(tries to be) and intelligent.

Bio/Background: Xirre was at the age of eight when he was founded by his first master. The years were long and harsh due to the abuse he had been unable to prevent. Every small accident he made he was beat nearly unconscious. The times only got worse from there. His founder had started to become a drunk and would abuse him for absolutely nothing, then one faithful day Xirre was balled in a corner. The master was already drunk and he knew at that moment that if he was seen his master would neglect him. Calling out for Xirre the founder only got angrier...he couldn't seem to find the poor boy. Though at a bang the Neko let out a yelp and was noticed. His discipline for hiding from the man had cost him his eye. At that point Xiree was fourteen. After losing his eye he became secluded and dark...not really liking no one. He kept to himself. Though at the age of sixteen he decided to run away and was founded by his current master, Luim. There he lived a happy life.

Name: Luim

Age:30

Appearance:

Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links.

Personality: Cocky, intelligent, open-minded, teaser and sour sport.

Bio/Background: Lium had always admired the Neko contests every since he was young. He had sworn to find him one when he grew up. At the age of twenty six he had found a small abused teen, but on closer inspection it was a pet! He was excited and quickly took the boy in. After helping him into better shape he began to train the other. He hated whenever Xirre lost. The judges were all liars! He couldn't take failure. Though he would continue and make him and his Neko a legend.

Xirre was sitting in the comfort of his bed listening to his master talk of....well basically nonsense. Luim, his master, was now upset that he had once again lost against Sage. Sage was a neko at the age of 27. He was, in his Master's eyes, his rival. In all honesty Xirre didn't take much of a liking to the tournaments. He didn't take them serious at all, therefor he was berated with harsh comments from his master but that was all he ever got. Luim wasn't an abusive owner at all he was most friendly. Just...a sore loser. Couldn't take not being in first place. The Neko was not new to the tournaments at all. He had happened to join them at the age of eighteen...he was now 24. Looking to Luim he grimaced. He really wasn't up for his fussing today. "I'll do better next time. I promise." a fake promising in his voice.

His master has heard it many time before but it just wasn't enough for him. Xirre never took these things seriously. He just wanted to be know as a legend so he could be good enough to face off with bigger and better competition. Competition in which he knew that Xirre would actually have to try on. He knew that the boy could beat Sage if he wanted, he just was not trying. It made him nearly explode. Standing Luim sighed. "Fine, but next time I won't you to win or else I'm dumping you back onto the streets." with that he exited the room.

Xirre wasn't hurt much from that comment anymore. When younger it use to scare him and actually frightened him into doing his best. Now it was just a measly threat that his master use to make himself feel better. The boy rolled his eyes and layed back onto his bed. He guess next time, for his master's sake, he would win.

Sweat trailed down at his pale face; all he could do was endure the torment while his master was on a brink of satisfaction. Whatever the case between may be, Cadis had already known that he was not a masochist nor a sadist. As long as his master desired this pleasure and pain charade, he is, by all means, willing to comply.

Though his screams were hinted to be fake and such. His master's sharp gazes already noticed it and gave a bored expression.

"Let's stop this--" he gave an exasperating sigh as he released his Neko from his restraints.

"Now you see, my dear Neko---" suddenly a glare was set ablaze at Cadis' azure eyes.

"--HAHAHA you really hated that word" he snorted vigorously as the male heaved himself from the king size bed.

Richards immediately took a shower for all the sweat he'd withdrawn in the earlier moments. Returning back to the room, he'd already saw Cadis in front of him wearing his white military clothing, promptly awaiting for his whims. There was even no signs of pain on his face, it was firm and smart. The nobleman smirked, he thank God for choosing a competent Neko to serve him. Though Cadis rarely speaks and was so stiff, nonetheless, he felt content.

Richards is a taller man than Cadis, he's well built and has a facade of a charming man on his thirties. He may be strict, well even much malevolent than any masters, yet he'd always had a good balance between discipline and reward. He sees his very own Neko as his own possession; a toy which's always ready for his every requests.

"I want you to accompany me to a certain place, Cadis." As they ventured the south hall of the mansion down to the foreign vehicle awaiting for them.

"Yes, master." He lowered his head politely.

His master was the least contented from his reply. He really didn't know what was running inside his Neko's brain. All he did was 'yes' this or 'understood' that. Still, he isn't a child to berate for such trivial matters.

Xirre shook off the water that Luim had just applied to him minutes ago. He hated water....anything wet to be precise. Groaning he unknowingly glared at his master, the man looking at nothing in particular. "We should go somewhere...a place to treat myself since you really don't deserve it." the man explained now steering his eyes to the brown haired neko. The boy was so stubborn it was actually shameful. He knew when the other was still a kid that he should have shown him discipline but everytime he raised his hand to strike him in the slightest Xirre would whimper and dash away quickly. Luim had been only playing those times. He had learned that the kit had shown no form ideal to fighting.

Xirre stretched back arching as his tail swayed then stiffened. The brunette was actually pretty tired. He hadn't got much sleep last night but a day of outing sounded great. He was tired of being cramped up in the house all the time being let out only to go to those damned tournaments. Luim was a possessive and paranoid guy. He thought that if he let Xirre go out on his own someone would recognize him and kidnap him. Hmph...as if he couldn't defend himself. Glancing up to his master again he feigned a smile and stood nearly exerting his excitement, though forced it down. "Lets get this over with then." slowly walking from the room. Trailing down the corridor he ran on all fours and literally jumped into the car. His master tried to drive in style. it was actually pretty funny. The vehicle had no roof and was a dark blue color with a tinted window. Luim soon joined and they drove into town.

Xirre and his master lived in a large like home on the outskirts of town. It was peaceful and quiet there with many other wildlife roaming around. Looking to his left the neko watched the scenery flash by. It was more exciting in the city but as always Luim explained how it was also very dangerous. If the brunette could he would want to live here...or in a palace treated like a king or something. Though he knew that would never happen. What pet was ever treated that highly? If he said so himself maybe he was the only one treated with enough respect. He had seen many other owners when in the city and they were all seriously demanding. The boy couldn't take it if he was their pets. Xirre would probably break.

(Lol that's good!!)

"We're here." His master shortly stated.

The vehicle they've occupied stopped at a huge three-story building. It had Corinthian pillars at its entrance and is seemingly a crowded place where lot's of masters and cats were situated. The cats were patiently falling in line while their master were sitting comfortably at the chair. Cadis knew that the cat's disposition is lower than humans, hence they're concluded immediately as servants or even worse--slaves. Luckily his master had still given him an ounce of respect, though not as equals but an average attitude for a pet. Shoving his thoughts away, he immediately ushered his master outside the car. The rest just stared in awe from what had leap through the foreign vehicle. An elegant Neko clothed mainly in white while escorting a male wearing a three piece suit. All gazes were glued to them, their extravagance was immediately noted by many and concluded by few.

"Zei what are you spacing at, over here--" his master summoned him.

The male flushed slightly as his attention was called like of a child that was lost on the crowds. There were two guards rooted side by side Richards and Cadis was walking behind the two of them. They hadn't fallen to the line, to some of the crowd's disappointment, they directly went to the other door that were supposedly for the employees. The guard of that shady door, without even an inspection, welcomed the four of them.

There Cadis' master was then welcomed by the owner himself. His master was signing some papers consecutively as he on the other hand was standing tall beside the door, together with the guards.

"Listen Zei, You'll be entering this Neko whatsoever tournament." The male proudly displayed the paper containing the agreement in front of him.

Confused, Cadis ears twitched slightly as he continued reading the paper. He was a literate cat, since his master wanted an educated Neko that'll be sticking to him side-by-side.

"This will be a long tournament. I'll give you the rule book regarding about the said event. Now listen to me--" his tone was different as he close the distance between them.

"All I ask of you is to win this tournament. I'll grant you one wish but in return you must bring the bacon. Are we clear on this?" his eyes were staring at Cadis in all seriousness. He was expecting his Neko to win the game since he'd spent some of his riches and effort to teach his very own pet some skills in fighting and other educational matters.

"Certainly, master." He affirmed as he returned the gaze.

"I won't accept failures, Zei. And if you'll lose, I'll completely disown you." as Richards rubbed his index finger at Cadis' chest.

Though he stated it in a calm manner, just the thought of his master disowning him, made Cadis anxious. His master could see the contorted expression on his Neko's face. Cadis couldn't imagine a world without his master, a person who'd been beside him for the past seventeen years of his life gone? that's recklessly insane!

Awed in his expressionless servant finally having a reaction on his face he stated," I'll take that as your motivation on wining, Zei. "

"You have got to be fucking kidding me." the cat whined lowly. He should have know that when his master said a treat for himself that they would end up at this wretched building....the tournament building. There was nowhere else they could have went. Like a nice cafè or maybe a diner. A five star restaurant! NOWHERE! Groaning the brunette with blond fringes looked to the left. Hm....pretty well decent he thought staring at a blonde headed neko. Who was he? Dressed in an all white suit with an excellent posture. Looking down at himself he noticed he just had mere rags on....no literally. It was torn black material and his posture wasn't so perfect, more slouched. Eyes steering back to the other he stared silently...

"-e XIRRE!" jumping a mile high the boy looked to Luim. Why was he yelling at him like an idiot? "Did you not hear me?" the man asked frowning at his pet. Xirre folded his arm and looked to him in an are-you-serious way. Luim groaned and rolled his eyes shaking his head. "I said that, that cat right there belongs to the Duke of Luxor, Richards Ashenbert. That neko is one of the most famous and prized pets in this part of town.... I wouldn't be surprised if he is known worldwide. I know of many countries that know of the Duke of Luxor."

Xirre stared to his master. "He has a duke as his master?" feeling a little jealous. Glancing back to the spot the other was at, he was gone. Eyes roaming the crowd he couldn't seen to find him. Sighing he looked back to Luim. "Exciting....how do you know of this?"

"Well anyone who doesn't know the Duke of Luxor is absurd. Plus I do research." he smiled widely. The cat just stared at his master before turning once again forward. Hmph....still didn't matter who was here he didn't want to be. The tournament was holding the cuteness contest today. Luim had tried to make Xirre enter many times, and though the pet was good eye candy, he refused. He was not cute. He was handsome. The brunette hated when he was called this 'cute.'

After an estimated two hours they had finally made it into the tournament and were sitting middle row in the colosseum. Xirre boredly watched as other pets were prancing around and flaunting their beauty. It wasn't in the least exciting. It was all boring. So they could do a couple of...well extremely hard looking tricks, but that wouldn't help them survive the real world. Lazily tilting his head onto his owner's shoulder he fell asleep.

Feeling pressure from the occurring events, Cadis couldn't help but stiffen up. He could ran lots of scenarios on his head about his master disowning him. He was born to be a pessimist though it can't be lightly observed at his exterior. He didn't even noticed his master showing the outfit that he'd be wearing for the competition.

"Zei." The baritone voice ranged a bell in his ears.

"Don't be nervous." He continued, his left hands ruffling the huge cat's ears.

He couldn't help but purr slightly at his master's sudden tenderness. How lame could he get, instead giving his master the confidence to win, all he did was getting so down. In the end, he thought he was troubling his master by worrying him. Richards explained about the contest running today. He flinched at the word 'cute', not that it was bad or such. Cadis stared back at his body, there's no way he could be cute since he's tall and had an adult features engraved on his face.

They ventured the left wing of the Colosseum and was then glanced by many. Arriving at the dressing room, his master shoved the huge box to the couch as he ordered Cadis to wear it immediately. Upon half an hour of wait, his master was impatiently hovering around the private dressing room, walking back and forth.

"Master I'm done." Cadis flatly stated, though his face wasn't reeking of embarrassment, his insides where churning as how indecent were his clothes.

He was wearing a black leather garment that exposed his abdomen, it had no sleeves. A steel-toed boots up to the knee and a leather tight-fit pants. What added to its beauty is the amount of misplaced bandages and a long wrap of expensive fur all over his body. Though Cadis had placed the lump of fur on his arms, his master already knew he's beautiful with it. The bandages basically covered his earlier wounds though it was stylishly placed by him in a matter that it was just fashion. His hair was cut and messily displayed like an icon , thanks to the ladies who'd done his hair and arranged his clothes, Cadis looked extremely different from his previous state.

"rawr." his master whistled as he gave a deep chuckle.

"I like your new hair, Zei." As the male twirled his fingers to it.

"Thank you, Master." he closed his eyes and nodded.

Thus, he ushered his Neko outside the room and to the upper box of the Colosseum to wait for the opening ceremony.

Luim, upon feeling a small amount of drool roll its way down his arm, shook Xirre. The brunette lifted his head the strips of blonde fringe mixed in his brown covering his eye. The cat shook his head, his hair falling away from his eyes. Turning to look back at the ongoing contest he grimaced. How long had he been sleep? Obviously not long enough. Looking away from the contest he felt his bladder about to give. "Uh...excuse me I'm going to the restroom." upon that statement Luim also jumped up to follow the other. Rolling his eyes the boy continued to walk up the white stoned steps that led to the opening entrance to the corridor. At the entrance he looked both ways, albeit looking left he stopped. Who was that? The pet was littered in leather. The top showing plenty of flesh above his waist line. glancing back to the other's face he gasped. It was the same guy from before.

"T-that's the famous neko yeah?" he asked Luim his eyes still trailing the other as he walked forward. He was stumped .... Like an idiot. Then...the man must be the Duke of Luxor. Intimidating the brunette thought. To be honest....he looked to be a murderer. Slightly chuckling he looked back to the pet of the owner. There was just something about him. He seemed well disobedient too.

"Uh where?" Xirre's master asked looking around crazily.

"There." he pointed. Luim quickly slapped his hand. Xirre flinched jumping against the wall....his tail stiff... His owner's brown eyes meet his. A calming aura surrounding the smaller of the two. The Neko cleared his throat before slowly acting as if it didn't happen. Turning back to the left he seen that the other pet was now gone. Hmph.... He closed his eyes and made his way to the bathroom.

Looking after the brunette Luim followed after him. He had forgotten to not strike the boy. He was as frighten as a mice. That was why he always watched over the boy. There was no way that he could defend himself. Though...if the Duke of Luxor had seen him pointing who know what trouble that could have brought amongst them. Oh well....it was better than that outcome.

In the bathroom Xirre had just finished his business, now was washing his hands. From the sudden slap he had gained a small redness. That had hurted. Groaning he looked at himself in the mirror. He needed to get over this or....he would forever be a push over. Sighing he layed his head into the wall. This sucked!

On their way to the upper box, Cadis was far behind his master. Like the usual, his Master, Richards, was surrounded by two tough guards walking side-by-side with him. Cadis was left behind since he was not so used walking with those heavy steel boots. Added to the fact, that he felt embarrassed with his clothing. His sexy outfit might lead his stomach an indigestion. In the end, he placed most of the fur at his abdomen, trying not to expose much skin as what he thought.

While he was busy arranging his costume at his heart's content, he noticed two men fussing over in the left side. He paused a bit. What he saw was a Neko pointing rudely at him. He had striking features and a pierce on his brows. He was enigmatically gorgeous on a dangerous basis. Add to the fact that he was wearing an eye-patch. Cadis wanted to nod and greet him but he kind of remembered what his master had ordered him. The rule of not talking to strangers, nor even giving them the slight gesture of greetings. Cadis immediately turned away, ignoring both their presences. Every Neko in the Colosseum was his enemy and he should be cold towards them. In that way, Cadis gazes became cold as he instilled in his mind these thoughts.

The event had started, each and every Neko inside the Colosseum started parading their cuteness. Cadis felt nervous, the Cat's were literally cute since they're so young and small. He'd be the fiftieth person to walk on the center out of the hundreds of contestant. Now that his number was summoned, he tried to pull an act of confidence as he paraded strikingly at the center floor. He walked calmly showing no signs of pulling a cute stunt that might gross everyone inside the arena. He's just like a model walking charmingly; he's not a cute little kitten to everyone's surprise.

What shock him was the exaggerated cheer of the crowd. He never know he was that popular since he rarely goes out from the mansion. Whatever the case, it fueled his confidence as he pulled a smile that captivated the audience hearts.

Leaving the restroom Xirre began to the entrance to watch the rest of the contest. Though when he entered the crowd was going crazy... Whoever out there must have been extremely cute huh? Slowly He approached the column at which they sat before, but that striking blond hair caught his attention. Ears twitching the three rings in it making it stand out more.. That....famous neko was in the cuteness contest....he didn't seem one to actually do that, but.... Wasn't that cheating? Of course people would root for him. He was the pet of the Duke's for heaven's sake. Grimacing he walked to the edge of the colosseum holding onto the railing that prevented other's from falling over to their death. "CHEATER!!!!!" he yelled. The brunette's voice echoing around into the spherical building. Fans had started to all quiet, his scream carrying on until he was out of breath.

...... All eyes were now on Xirre. He had been repulsive and acted without thinking, but it was true. It wasn't fair. How could the judges even accept him. In other contests it would be fair game but not this one. Especially not this one. Glaring down at the Duke's pet he barred his teeth. He was a loser.... Taking advantages of this contest to gain ranks. It wasn't fair. The brunette didn't care who the guy belonged to. It just wasn't fair.

Luim had not been expecting that he was embarrased, upset and most off all...frightened. What would happen to Xirre since he performed that ignorant action. What the hell was he thinking. Grabbing the boy he snatched him back up the stone stairs and into the corridor. "What the fuck is your problem?" he yelled at the boy. That should have never happened. He had taught the man better than that.

"It's true. It's not fair to the others." he argued back. That pet knew he was bound to win it just wasn't right. It was all bullshit. He couldn't just stand there and let it happen.

"It has nothing to do with you! You aren't even in the competition so why would you care if someone else is cheated out of a rank?" Luim was not forgiving the boy so easily for this one. He had crossed the line. If it was anyone else's pet then maybe but not the Duke's!

Turning his head away from his owner he just stayed silent. He didn't know what to say. The brunette could tell that the black haired man was seriously pissed. There was nothing that he could do or say that would cool the man down so talking was just a waste of breath; albeit even though he regretted it if time rewinds he would do it again.

As the hordes cheered for him, he was a bit happy and had found a new piece of happiness. Not until someone had screamed at him the word, "cheater." He suddenly froze and stop at what he's doing. The tragedy that he didn't even expected, not in his wildest dreams. He surveyed at the crowds, finding that person who started it all. Shockingly, he saw a Neko, that one in the hallway, the one with the eye-patch. What had he done to him? He never cheated and never will. But the intelligent Cadis knew very well what the dark-haired male meant. It's him being a Cat of a man of a higher position. That may be true, the very fact that he was famous because he's the Duke's pet. But what if he wasn't? Will the crowd still cheer for him like how they'd cheer for him right now. No was his answer and that gave him an eye opener.

He genuinely pulled a fake smile as he finished his own show and walked back to the exit. What awaited him was his master, standing firmly behind the exit door.

"I need to talk to you~" Richards' cold eyes shut as he walked towards a private place. Cadis knew that this was going to be bad news.

"I didn't like what I heard earlier. Ridiculing you in front of those hordes of people was also degrading my name." Cadis felt a sharp pang in his chest.

"I'm sorry, Master." His eyes cast down, sincerely apologizing.

"It's not your apology I'm searching Zei since it wasn't your fault. I'm not going to beat around the bush anymore. Hence I'll tell you that I won't be appearing at your matches anymore. I should probably return to the man--"

"But Maste--" he was cut-short by Richards sigh

"I'm not done talking Zei, watch your manners." The Neko just lowered his head, angry for his sudden

outburst.

"Just me supporting you in this arena can ignite someone's temper. We both know that we're not cheating. The title was just an accessory and you're fighting like a normal neko here. And as I am your master, I don't want to see you lose your dignity over such trivial thing."

He grabbed something on the pocket behind his suit and handed a check at his Neko.

"You can live by yourself until the Tournament is over. This check contains sufficient money to aid your necessity. I'm not in the mood to drag this matters any longer Zei, I need to go." He ruffled his servants ears and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"Remeber the 'Tamer's Rule' by the way. Don't act foolish whilst I'm not looking." The broad back of his master slowly disappeared into thin air. It's childish of him to plead for the male to stay since he don't want to anger his master so he decided to stay rooted at the cold floor.

--It's all his fault... He punched the nearby wall beside him hardly as he glared into the empty space.

Xirre was standing with Luim sitting beside him highly disappointed. The cat looked down the the black haired man and sighed lowering himself to the floor also. "I apologize. I won't do it again. This time I'm being sincere." all honesty was present in his eyes. The brunette really did meant it, his apology. If he had to swallow his pride and apologize, then so be it. The man really didn't mind when his owner was mad at him but, unlike all the rest, this time it was serious. A mistake that the man could have keep to himself.

"What will your apologies mean when you never make anything better." Luim was beyond this fuckery. Nothing Xirre ever said was trusted. Had he really been that bad of an owner. This man without discipline would be nothing but trouble. A sadness clouding Luim's eyes he frowned to the cat before standing. "You..I can't do this. Until you learn how to respect me and have a written acceptance of your apology from the Duke himself... You can Not return."

At those words Xirre's eyes widened. W-was his owner seriously leaving him? B-but he had nowhere to go. "I have nowhere to go and you know that. Stop being foolish and lets just go home."

The black haired man glanced to the brunette and shook his head. "It's true that I was lenient with you. That my threat thus far was as stated only threats, but this time I'm serious." with those words he started to walk away. Tears building in the Neko's eyes he reached for the man.

"I'm sorry dammit! Forgive me!" he yelled. Xirre did not know that his actions would lead to this. He would take it back, all of it. He just didn't want to be left alone. Though it didn't help. Through all his pleas the man had disappeeared. He had left him to feign for himself. Clutching his hair he screamed. This was not suppose to happen.

None if it!

They called it a day and since the tournament had a rule on announcing every winner at the final day , Awarding night, Cadis returned home. No wait, he wasn't allowed to, he ventured the streets as the spectators was still crowding at him. He attracts too much of unwanted attention, he finally escaped the crowd and ventured another alley. Now what will he do? Just his master watching each of his match made his motivation boost but now that he's gone, he didn't felt like competing at all. Though the thought of him disowning the Neko made him flinch as he withdrew all his thoughts. Damn his mind was completely in a disarray as of the moment.

He noticed his clothes weren't suited for the city, he immediately removed it and went to a shop. He'd basically just accept the things, the way it is. Hoping that the tournament would end soon so he can go back to his master, back to the man's embrace. The retailer immediately recognized him as she almost followed Cadis almost everywhere in the shop. He picked a black and white sweater followed by a decent jean. He'd chosen items of a lower price since he didn't want to spend much of his master's money. His ears and tail were too obvious and he doesn't want to display it much on the crowd. Cadis slowly inserted his tale to the jeans and bought a black colored cap to cover his ears. His getup looked ordinary. When he left the shop, he perfectly blended in the crowd.

Though he might be released from his master's shackles, Cadis couldn't comprehend the freedom he was experiencing. It was empty--almost cruel. He took glances at some Nekos happily talking with their masters, his eyes full of envy.

He felt a chill on his nape and noticed that his hair was likely cut into short. It was all a bluff, he even forgot his appearance drastically change. Damn that Neko tournament, why was his master so adamant in letting his Cat join in the first place?

The brunette had seriously lost something good. One of the best owner that anyone could ask for. All over some damned famous pet. He hadn't meant to do what he did. It had all seemed like instinct. Instinct that his body did on its own. Sighing lightly the other now lay among a dirted alley way. Where else could he go? He had no food...no money....no shelter. Nothing! The man had nothing. Looking up he sneered at all the other pets walking by with their master's. Hmph... He wouldn't care because his master was the best. But... ...could he really call the man his owner now. Luim had left him. Left him without anywhere to go. Without anything to survive with. Laying his head onto his arm he closed his eyes. The man had just left the brunette to die.

Commotion filled the space around him in the everlasting bustling streets. Now he knew what Luim meant by not enough quiet. The discarded pet had no time to fucking think. "Shut up!" he yelled loudly though, unlike the stadium, the noise continued. Continued with no will to stop.

The ground was cold underneath him. It didn't help that it was going into summer either. That meant that it was in the midst of January. It was cold, wet and sticky. Xirre's three most hateful thing, wet being first. He just wanted Luim back. That way the brunette could now be basking in the warmth underneath the covers keeping warm. He hated this. "I hate this!" he screamed over and over. Ok....maybe Xirre could get obnoxious at times but only when things aren't going his way. He screamed banging his head against the wall. How long will his master take to come and retrieve him. The man had to be playing. He would come to get him in a minute now.

As the cold breeze passed by, Cadis couldn't help but shiver lightly. He was still on the process of searching the cheapest place in town. He was wandering from east to west, north to south. The male kept a note on his mind, arranging the most affordable place he thought of--listing whether their incentives were good or bad. He had gotten used of the merry streets. There's no use lamenting and thinking about the situation that happened earlier. He'd tried to be a pessimist since he's already left alone. Without his master's guidance, all Cadis can do was live with the use of his instincts.

He didn't like the stares that were darted towards him. He never expected that he feared the crowd. It gave him a slight stress just looking at hundreds of people filling all the empty spaces on the streets. It's as if they were like living zombies. Though the cold weather made him comfortable and content.

The man continued walking, looking for the structures that were considered as an inn, hotel or something that could be used as a resting place. Then he heard someone screaming at the street. He also noted that city people can do whatever they want, scream or dance, whatever they wanted. He wanted to approach the taller male but he suddenly bumped at some salary men walking. The neko staggered a bit, his cap had fallen on the wet concrete floor.

"Watch where you're going." The male reprimanded Cadis as it resumed back to walking.

"I'm sorry." he deeply apologized.

Still, for Cadis, the huge city was still a place which he didn't belong to. He wanted to go back to his master, immediately. That trail of thought had always been redundant in his head.

The streets were steady loud, annoying, a ruckus. Something that Xirre wanted to end. Something he did not want to be around at the moment. Standing he frowned. Luim was taking absolutely too long to come back. The game was not that fun anymore. The brunette now understood not to do something as reckless and absurd as his actions before. It wouldn't happen again. If only he could tell his master that.

The noise was seriously mind wrecking. Xirre thought solely on peace. The neko wanted it NOW. sluggishly standing his blonde fringe in his eye he walked forward, away from the filthy alley. He needed a place to stay. There was no way he could survive in this temperature. Shivering the brunette glanced around. His rags blowing with the wind. At a time like this he wanted a warm bed. How much longer did the torture have to continue? Luim knew that he could not live on his own. Did he really require the signed acceptance of apology letter from the Duke himself? That was basically impossible. How could someone as lowly as him talk to a man of such power.

The cat strolled out of the alley standing in the entrance. The brunette knew nothing about the city. The stores where all a mystery to him. He did not know of where to go. He remember an inn his master had took him to once. That place had allowed him to stay, but it required money. Sighing his eyes roaming the streets looking for nothing in particular. Though a striking blonde caught his attention. It was the same famed pet as before. The one that was the reason for his current troubles. He was clothed in jeans and a cheap shirt. What was he doing here? Padding across the street he stood only centimeters away from the other. This blond was the sole reason of everything. Bad luck.

Seeing the men's shadow retreating away from him, Cadis sighed tiredly. The place added headache to him. His sensitive nose was picking up strange scent as it wafted forcefully inside his nose. He covered his nose slightly, trying to avoid whatever stench the was likely going to enter his nose. He immediately grabbed his cap, now that some of the citizens had found out his identity. Cadis admitted to live a life of luxury with his master giving him unwanted things. But a life of someone which society could easily distinguish was new to him. He's like a criminal on a wanted list, and he'd foreseen its great inconvenience. Being famous at all, was out of his option.

After all, he'd always go back to square one. The first thing his master had instilled in his head, the Tamer's Rule. The male slightly massaged his temple as he entered a cafe for his dinner. The rule itself was etched on his head like a branding iron stamped to a flesh. Whatever this Tamer's Rule all about, Cadis felt the urge to stop thinking about it, stop pressing on such matters.

"Can I have this Lasagna and meatballs; add a soda too."

From the start, Cadis wasn't a fist lover. Though he's a cat, he didn't had a penchant for the members of the sea. Even some catnip aren't good for him. Basically, he's a simple definition of one weird specie of a Neko race. As the food was serve, he immediately dug in. Fine dining was still obvious on his actions, strange for a man wearing a cheap clothing.

The brunette watched as the other walked away and into a building. What was he doing and what exactly did he walk into? By the display through the window it seemed like a restaurant....an elegant one at that. Envious he sat outside the building beside the large window. This is where Xirre wanted to go instead of that idiotic cuteness contest. Then he wouldn't have to be in this predicament. Groaning he banged his head against the window. Glaring in at the blonde.

Hmm... ...wait! The Duke of Luxor was his master. If I just asked him where the man was located he would surely tell me. Right? I would apologize first. Hm...and if that doesn't work my master said to always use my charms against others. the cat's mind was really working, thinking of scenarios and the actions between. Though none of them worked out. The pierced neko thought of the famed pet as a stuck up asshole. Tsk. as if he would succeed, this blond might hate him now. Hate him for ruining his show, but did it actually really matter? He would still win regardless of the interruption.

He regretted his action now more than ever. Banging the glass again he stared at the one of his stress. Why would his body react the way that it did. "Ok so I obviously did it on my own...but still..." he trailed off words dying slowly. He needed the information to see if he could even talk to the Duke. The brunette knew that he needed help from the one inside the restaurant. The most valued neko... Hm and he didn't even know the other's name.

"Sir, is that by any chance your acquaintance?" A waitress approached Cadis.

The both of them stared at the Neko banging his head, in all craziness, outside the restaurant. He had a face of disbelief upon seeing the Neko that was acting hysterical as it kept glaring at him. He had sworn that this man was really starting to annoy the hell out of him.

"We would really be happy if he's gonna stop banging his head into the establishment's property." The waitress glanced at the cashier who was also troubled by the male.

Torn between admitting or ignoring him, Cadis stood up and walked calmly at the door. He needed to cease this man's insanity and ask him not to trouble the shop any longer. Though anger was still seething at Cadis' aura, it isn't the time to act like a child together with the male.

"Could you please stop banging your head at the glass? It's disturbing the customers. If you want to relieve your stress, kindly release it somewhere else." He calmly stated as he stood beside the wooden door. Everyone remained silent, trying hard to pry what's going to happen next. His azure eyes darted at the piercings all over the male's ear.

--He reeks with a low-life feel. Suddenly realized that his thought went overboard, Cadis deeply cleared his throat, erasing his stereotypes away. He wanted to punch the male hard, but thinking it thoroughly, he should not. That would cause an uproar and it will obviously reach his master's ears. And that would be one of the closest step for Richards to disown him. He's already part of the Ashenbert family, he even carried the name; might as well handle it with respect and care.

Xirre looked to the source of his stress. He was standing in the opening of the restaurant, the door slung open. Frowning he stood and stepped away from the window. "Uh... Can I talk to you for a minute?" the cat could see that everyone surrounding the restaurant was all quiet watching for his reaction. They expected him to be all obnoxious and ignorant like before but he wouldn't be. Even though most the people here knew nothing of his earlier action he would not repeat it for those who did.

Taking another step back he stared at the other cat to see if he would actually give him the time of day to speak with him. His life depended on it. Literally. If he didn't get an acceptance from the Duke himself he would die. Frozen to the core. No place to go. There were many ways for him to die. He had nothing to eat... His life was basically over.

"Please? Just a minute." he really hoped that the boy would at least give him that, though the humans around the elegant building was annoying. The brunette wanted to talk somewhere secluded... Or as secluded as this city could provide. There was no way he was taking no for an answer, he refused to.

He seems pretty upset. With his food being served would he actually talk to me? the man wasn't asking for much. Just information on the other's current residence. He had not known the other was in a similar situation than he but the famed pet had providence. The brunette didn't.

Cadis stared at him for a brief moment and there's no way that pleading eyes would work on him. He need not pull that embarrassing stunt if he'd just wanted to converse with the male. He was diplomatic, he can handle things in a manner that won't end with chaos. He nodded as his approval and went inside the restaurant.

"Could you please pack these food and add another order. I deeply apologize for the disturbance earlier, " he smiled ruefully as he snatched a debit card in his pocket.

The money in a form of a check was transmitted into a debit card by Cadis since bringing a huge amount of cash with him would stir a lot of trouble. He went outside the shop and gaze at the male, leaning at the stone-brick, waiting for him. Cadis had said nothing and just followed his lead.

"In case you haven't eaten, here's some food."

For a male that Cadis hated, why bought him the food? Though in reality he was basically the cause of all his mishaps. Yet, he'd always been like that. Just like the accident that occurred on the past few days. He just couldn't help but give such assistance to other's. He didn't know if what'd he was doing was between the line of boosting his ego or self-satisfaction. He just acted randomly.

--old habits die hard...

Watching the other nod the blond returned into the building. So the famous pet had agreed it seemed. The tall male was willing to meet with him. To talk with him in a private manner. It was a bit of a surprise to the brunette that the other had agreed so solemnly. The blonde, after moments of waiting, had decided to once again assault Xirre with his grace of presence.

The brunette began to walk down the sidewalk pushing past people as they rubbed and bumped against him. Luim was right. The city was absolutely too crowded. Slowly scrolling to a stop he turned to look at the other at the mention of food.

The cat in front of him had bought him a meal, but why? That was nice of the other at least. Slightly smiling at the blonde he quickly grabbed the container from the other. Xirre was actually pretty hungry. His stomach growling from the scent of the food as it snaked its way into his nose.

"You don't mind if maybe we sit here to eat?" they were in a small area it seemed. It was laced in decoration all glowing to attract attention. They seemed to be a place where the older could all go to hang, play cards and gamble. Sitting on the bench the brunette looked to the blond. Would he sit with him? He was starved and was restraining himself from tearing into the food set in his lap.

"I apologize for what happened back in the Colosseum. I was being irrational an repulsive." he admitted. Well he had to suck up a bit for the boy to give him the information needed, though with the blond male it seemed different. He didn't seem one to blackmail or one to take compliments with delight. Indeed if only it was his master. Hm...but then again this cat seemed well experienced with that area. Xirre didn't really know. The blonde was hard to read. Just looking to him he had no emotions. No expressions drawned. Cold.

Shivering because of the cold Xirre wished that this nightmare could end. He could be, right now, sleeping in his bed.

The both of them glided within the crowds. Flare of lights were strikingly appearing all over the streets. He'd stared at the people hovering in every shops. His azure eyes then trailed back at the eye-patched Neko as it requested to eat the food.

The place they were staying for a moment attracted older men. It had a display of a 'Casino' word with a voluptuous woman in a play-boy outfit posing as its model. The dark-haired Neko finally sat down as it enthusiastically opened the paper bag. He, on the other hand, remained standing on his right side--his posture never faltering.

The neko suddenly had spoken about the nature of the scenario earlier. How he'd sincerely apologize for that simple thing that made Cadis miserable. Remembering his Master's face, he slowly closed his eyes and jabbed his hands inside his pocket, forming fist. The neko beside him was stealing glances. It's Cadis cue to speak as of the moment, and the Neko was waiting for his reply.

"That I know." He calmly stated as his face remained fixed at the crowd.

"I know where your hatred was coming from. And I really hope that you'll understand that I haven't done anything wrong. If I haven't heard your apology then I had concluded that you're a thorn and thorns should be immediately eliminat---" Cadis paused as he finally realized that his talking was somewhat off.

--not this again-- He gritted his teeth as he hurriedly search for something that could reflect his image. Saw no changes, he sighed as he closed his eyes.

"I guess we should call this a day and I deeply apologize if I had, in some way, offended you--" he slightly bowed and walked away before he can arouse suspicion from the other male.

Digging his teeth into the meal below him the brunette listened as the other explain that he was aware of his apology. The wind blowing bringing shivers to the man once again. What caught Xirre's attention is what the male said next. Thorns should be eliminated? What exactly was he talking about? Explaining that if the dark haired neko was a throne he should be killed? Steering his eyes to the blonde, mouth still wrapped around his food, he continued to stare with curiosity. He was lost. Not knowing what the hell the other was saying.

Slowly biting into the food he raised his head to say a word but the other continued to talk. Announcing that he was leaving the brunette reached for him. He was already gone. What? He hadn't even learned the blond's name nor the information in which he came for. Groaning softly he looked back to his food before wrapping it up. Appetite gone...and once again nowhere to go.

Standing to find a place to go he roamed the area in which he occupied. Maybe there would be an inn here also. Slowly walking into a building with a flashy lights of 'Demise' Hn.. This could possible be a place to sleep. Upon walking in he encountered a group of women all bustled in one corner. Upon staring he noticed they were all cats. Not one a single female Human. Footsteps began Xirre's was startled and glanced to the right. There, a female human.

"Mm sir....did you come in for a night of pleasurrrre~" she asked dragging her 'r' to make it seem like a purr. Oh! So this was more so an escort building, or as Luim says a whore house. Xirre glanced back to the female before shaking his head.

"No thank you. I wondered into the wrong building." taking a step back he twist forward and began to the door. Opening it he exited the house. Well that wasn't it. Where exactly will I go tonight? the man asked himself. Luim was cruel for this....so so cruel!

He didn't expected that it would happen earlier. Cadis was so sure that he had already buried that side of him on the deepest part of his soul. The male knew that the main cause was the fact that his master had deserted him alone in that city where he had no knowledge of.

He paused for a bit to check himself at the reflection of a damp water on the street. Contented that he's finally alright he'd hurriedly seek for a place of shelter. He even felt bad for leaving that Neko out of the blue. Cadis needed to calm down for a bit, his master even told him not to bottle up his emotions. The question is, if he had any... what kind of emotion was he feeling as of the moment?

He dragged his body at the spotted telephone booth, dialing the number of the place he's so familiar of. Finally someone from the other line had picked the phone.

"Who is this?" The familiar low voice made Cadis happy

"Hello, it's me, Zei. Mast---"

"....----"

He didn't even finished speaking as his master immediately ended the phone call. Cadis had redialed the number again, but this time, no one answered. It's just the redundant cold voice of the operator, nothing else. In Cadis frustration, he slammed the telephone booth's door. Even his master had no plans of talking to him. He even thought that they'll just be calling each other as their communication. But he was wrong, very wrong, his master had abandoned him in this dire moments.

The male's body slid and is now squatting at the floor. He needed to think straight, that this was all for his sake. Cadis repeated this thoughts like a mantra and was heading to the inn that he'd chosen. Those were the thoughts that kept his tranquil mind intact.

"A room please-"

The tenant handed him the key as he hurriedly went upstairs. It was a cramped inn, the cheapest, located near the south park.
