Asta bit his lip as Leon spoke. His words were comforting. Sort of like a cold glass of water on a hot summer day. He held no resentment towards him, and his feelings hadn't changed. When there eyes met, Asta felt something shift, when was the last time he really looked at Leon? Ah, that's right...he was avoiding it because Leon had this ability to see right through him. As if he was peeking into his very soul...and if Asta stared into his eyes for too long, he'd be swept away by those ocean blue eyes of his. [ “I know there’s still a lot left to fix, but… I’m glad you told me. Really.”] He felt a gentle squeeze on his hand before Leon leaned in closer...Asta didn't move...and he found himself blushing ever so faintly. It was only a kiss on the cheek, but still. Progress. Leon thanked him for expressing how he felt. The human nodded, his eyes falling to the floor, and the next few minutes were spent in silence while holding each other's hands. A silent agreement to stay together and work through this difficult chapter in their relationship. A gentle reminder of Leon's promise he made back in the hospital... ' I'm not going anywhere. ' It was nice, and for Asta it was enough. [ “You were gonna order food, right?”] Leon's touch was gone, but hearing his voice pulled Asta out of his thoughts. He nodded, he had almost forgotten. [ “Then I’ll pick out a movie. But even if it’s cheesy, you have to watch it with me. Deal?”] Asta returned Leon's playful smile as a soft chuckle escape his lips. "Deal." -------------------------------------------- Ray studied Sora, taking in his behavior and body language. From it, it wasn't hard to see that he cared about Fang. When Sora admitted that he didn't know enough about them or Fangs back story he exhaled a clear sigh of disappointment, shaking his head. He was more disappointed in Fang than Sora. "Figures," he muttered under his breath. He took a sip of his beer as Sora continued. He knew that Fang was connected to him. He was aware of the amulet and the tranquilizer cleverly concealed as a pen and quickly deduced that Fang probably got these items from him. "Ain't you sharp," he grinned. Fang did tell him that his mate was extremely perceptive for the average human, though he hadn't believed him until now. [ “And that is pretty much it." ] " I see..." Ray's gaze shifted over to Fang. Ray only knew half of Fangs story, and he wasn't quite sure how much he should tell Sora. "We'll... It ain't my place to tell you his story...but I can tell you alittle about us. Werewolves have been around for centuries. We got a system you see...You got Omegas, Betas, and Alphas. Omegas are at the bottom, Alphas at the top. We got plenty of Omegas and Betas but Alphas are rare. Im talking less then 1% of what's left. There True bloods, meaning they were born Werewolves and their ancestors never got mixed up with humans or other creatures. Fang here, is an Alpha, but...Ive never met anyone quite like him." A smile tugged at the corner of his lips. " The majority of us like to live in packs. There's strength in numbers and what not but we do it for the sense of safety and community, family...but I dont think Fangs ever been apart of a pack his entire life. It's rare to see a lone wolf nowadays, and an Alpha at that. " He shrugged, fiddling with the beer bottle in his hand. He took another sip, letting a soft ah~ slip from his lips. His gaze shifted back over to Sora. He was honestly amazed and rather curious how a mere human manged to turn Fangs life upside down. " That boy didn't just 'bite' you son, but marked you. We call it imprinting. We werewolves have always been pretty loyal, and when it comes to imprinting it's like... hmmm... how should I put it...its like forming a powerful bond with another person. Sort of like marriage for humans but, yall can't divorce. Death do you part and what not." He fell silent for a moment. This was probably the safest place to stop but Ray was conflicted. How much should he reveal ? " You got hurt awhile back right? I reckon that stirred up some truama for Fang. " He muttered that last sentence, as if hesitant to go on. " You ain't Fang's first mate..." @M-jow
