His arms tightened around Haruhi, grounding, steady. “I know it’s not easy. Watching him grow… it’s a privilege, but it’s also the hardest part. Letting him change, letting him become his own person.” He exhaled softly, resting his cheek against Haruhi. “But you’re doing so well. Better than you think. Don’t doubt yourself.” His voice dropped, more intimate, more earnest. “We all love you. We depend on you. You’re the one who holds us together, the heart of all of this.” He pulled Haruhi just a little closer, as if to make sure his words were felt as much as heard. “You’re a devoted parent, and… the most amazing person in my world.” A small pause, then, softer still: “Even when it feels overwhelming, I’m here. I’ll always support you.”

Like your name, what you do for work?” Yu asked sweetly as he turned the charm on and lead the man towards the very public exit as if testing him to see if being in full view of the cameras and security would make him squirm. “I would like something to call you for the night.” Yu added as he wrapped his arms around the man’s and pulled him happily towards the front.

The goal is to do better than our parents did, and keep them alive and healthy.” Haruhi teased with a small sigh as he felt his heart ache at the thought of Haru leaving but he knew Haru needed to see the world. It was the only way he could right the upbringing he should have had.
