[Leon] After they'd both reach orgasm. Leon held Asta close to his chest, placing soft, unhurried kisses along his neck and cheeks as they both lingered in the afterglow. “Whatever you want to tell me in your letter, I’m looking forward to reading it.” -------------------------------------- [Sora] [Rule number one... Don't start something...you can't finish."] “…shut up,” Sora mumbled, too tired to fight back as he rested with his eyes closed, though still awake. But he couldn’t stay annoyed with him—not when Fang was being so sweet, even telling him he loved him. Sora groaned softly and squeezed Fang tightly in his arms. “I love you too. So very much.” [Graduation] The auditorium was loud and crowded with people. Students and families Sora shifted slightly trying not to fidget even though every instinct told him to. The fabric of his gown felt too big, just like everyone had warned him it would be, because he didn’t take time out to get measured. He’d brushed it off at the time, insisting it didn’t matter. Now the sleeves swallowed part of his hands, and his cap kept slipping just enough for the tassel to drift into his line of sight. He resisted the urge to fix it again. This was fine. He was fine. It was just for a few hours anyway. Around him, the other graduates buzzed with nervous excitement, whispering, laughing, adjusting their caps and gowns. Sora exhaled slowly, his fingers curling at his sides. It’s just a ceremony, he told himself. But it didn’t feel like just that either. When they stood and began to walk, the weight of it hit him all at once. The stage ahead. The crowd beyond the it. Marking the end of something and the terrifying beginning of something new. He walked, trying to look confident. But probably looking awkward. His eyes flickered across the crowd, but it was almost impossible to make out faces at first—just a blur of people, movement and colors. But, he searched around for one special person. He didn’t know why he expected to find him so easily in all this chaos. But then he did spot Fang near the back, his breath caught in his throat. Even from a distance, Sora recognized him instantly. Something in Sora’s chest tightened. Just seeing him there, arms crossed, pretending like he wasn’t invested. Sent a quiet warmth through him that cut through the noise, and the nerves. 'He came.' Of course he did. Fang had said he would. But still… seeing it was different. The ceremony dragged. Speeches blurred together. Names were called one after another, each step bringing Sora closer to his turn. His heartbeat picked up, louder than the applause, louder than the echoing voice at the podium. Then his name was finally called up to the stage. “Sora Sato.” For a split second, everything went silent. Then the world rushed back in. He stepped forward. His gaze shifted toward the back again. And he saw Fang wasn’t sitting anymore. He was standing and cheering. Actually cheering. Loud. Unrestrained. Completely unapologetic. Sora’s breath caught and his cap chose that moment to tip as he blushed. He adjusted it back. A smile had broken across his face . Their eyes met across the sea of strangers. And just like that, everything else faded. Sora accepted his diploma, barely registering the handshake or the formalities. Because that look in Fang’s eyes as he watched him, burned brighter than anything else. 'He’s proud of me.' The thought hit him deep and carried him all the way off the stage. After the ceremony, everything became chaos. Voices overlapped. People shouted, laughed, cried. Sora barely had time to orient himself before— “SORA!!” He turned just in time to get nearly tackled in a hug. “Asta—!” “WE DID IT! We did it! I can't believe we did it!” Sora laughed, breathless, returning the hug just as tightly. “Yeah—yeah, we did—!” Before he could say more, Asta’s attention snapped elsewhere as his mother's voice called out. Sora followed his gaze. Asta’s mother was rushing toward them, tears already streaming down her face. And beside her was Leon. He wore a cap and sunglasses but Sora could clearly recognize him. Through the sunglasses he could see Leon’s eyes were fixed on Asta. The look he was giving his friend looked very close to the one Fang had been giving him from the stage. Sora’s smile softly then stepped back, giving Asta space as the reunion unfolded. Watching it stirred something quiet and complicated in his chest—warm, but heavy too. He was happy for him. ----------------------------------------------- [Graduation Leon] Leon didn’t mind crowds. He was used to busy environments—from back in the club he used to work at, to the packed events and flashing photoshoots that now came with his career. What he did mind was how closely everyone was packed together into the hall. It made him a little uneasy. There was always the chance someone would recognize him, and he didn’t want that kind of attention—not today, not here, not when he was just trying to support his boyfriend. That was why he stayed quietly close to Asta’s mother, careful not to draw unnecessary attention. His cap was pulled low, sunglasses resting on his nose despite the indoor lighting. It was the simplest way to avoid complications, for Asta’s sake as much as his own. Asta’s mother clutched her hands together, already emotional, her eyes locked on the stage. Leon glanced at her, the corner of his mouth softening. “He’ll do great,” he said quietly. “I know,” she replied, her voice trembling. “I just… I can’t believe how fast time flies. It feels like just yesterday was his very first day of school. And now my baby is graduating…” Leon smiled faintly. He had seen many of Asta’s baby pictures and knew Asta as a kid had been really cute and full of life. They turned their attention back to the stage as names were called. One by one, students crossed, shaking hands, receiving applause. Then it was Asta’s turn. Leon straightened instantly, his posture sharpening as his focus locked onto him the moment he stepped onto the stage. Asta’s mother grabbed Leon’s arm and pulled him up with her, already clapping. Leon followed, a bit more reserved—but no less invested. It still felt surreal, standing here, watching Asta take each step forward. The gown wasn’t anything special. It didn’t make him stand out. But Asta did that on his own. Even with the nerves, even under the weight of so many eyes, he kept going. Steady. Determined. Leon felt something tighten in his chest. Gratitude. Pride. Something deeper. He clapped louder. Beside him, Asta’s mother let out a soft, emotional sound, tears already slipping free as she applauded. Asta reached the center of the stage, shook hands, received his diploma, and paused briefly for the photo. His mother was already snapping pictures on her phone—her hands shaking so much Leon had to gently steady it for her. — After the ceremony, the room dissolved into chaos almost instantly. Graduates flooded the space. Laughter, crying, voices calling out names—it was loud, messy, alive. Leon stayed close as Asta’s mother dabbed at her eyes. “Oh, I’m going to cry all over him,” she said, half-laughing. “You definitely are,” Leon replied lightly. She nudged his arm. “Well, I’m allowed to.” Leon huffed, trying to hide a small chuckle. Then— “SORA!!” Leon’s head turned immediately. His eyes found Asta in the crowd, just in time to see him break through and crash straight into Sora. The two of them collided in a tight hug, both overflowing with excitement. Something warm settled deep in Leon’s chest. After a moment, Asta’s mother couldn’t wait any longer. She moved quickly, and Leon followed just behind her. “Asta!” Her voice cut through the noise. Leon saw the exact moment Asta looked up—saw recognition hit. He slowed slightly, staying just behind her shoulder, giving her that first moment. It belonged to her. She pulled Asta into a tight embrace as tears started flowing again. “Oh, my baby—my beautiful, smart boy,” she cried, cupping his face with both hands, smiling through it all. “Congratulations, sweetie. Mum is so proud of you.” Leon watched quietly, something soft settling in his expression. Then, when the space opened— He stepped forward. Sliding his sunglasses down just enough to properly meet Asta’s eyes. For a brief second, he said nothing. “Congratulations,” he said softly. “You really worked hard.” Then he pulled Asta into a firm embrace, one hand settling at the back of his head. “I’m proud of you too.” Leon let out a quiet breath of laughter against his shoulder before pulling back slightly, just enough to look at him again. There it was. That look. Worth everything. “…So,” Asta’s mother spoke up, dabbing at her eyes with a napkin, a small smirk replacing her tears, “are you kidnapping my boy right away?” Leon smiled, reaching up to adjust Asta’s cap slightly. “The car’s ready and packed,” he said. “We can head out whenever you and the others want. But there’s no rush.” He had already received the code for the key box to the beach cabin on his phone. Everything was set. -------------- [Sora] [“Hey, pipesqueek!”] Sora smiled and turned. There he was. That familiar smirk. That infuriating nickname he had never liked. And yet— Sora lit up instantly. He didn’t even think about it. Didn’t hesitate. Didn’t care about the crowd or the noise or the dozens of eyes around them. He just ran. Straight into him. Fang caught him easily, lifting him off the ground like it was nothing. Sora laughed, arms wrapping tightly around his neck, holding on like he’d been waiting for this exact moment all day. “You came,” he said, softer now, the words almost getting lost in everything else. [“I said I would.”] Sora pulled back just enough to look at him—and whatever he was about to say next never made it out. Fang kissed him. Right there. In the middle of everything. Sora’s eyes widened for half a second before he melted into it, the noise of the crowd fading into the background once again. Because this..this moment..this feeling was everything he had wanted. And for the first time that day, Sora stopped worrying about what came next. Fang’s hands were grounding him. The kiss was warm and certain, like a whisper of a promise. He leaned into it without hesitation. Then.. “Sora.” The voice cut through everything. A sharp, recognisable voice that made something cold settle in his chest. Sora went still. Slowly, he pulled back, his hands still resting against Fang’s shoulders as he turned toward the sound. And there he was. His father. Standing a few steps away, dressed awful formally with a straight posture and a tight expression. Next to him stood his wife, Sora’s stepmother. Her face already twisted with thinly veiled disgust. A small girl held onto her hand, peeking around curiously. Sora blinked. Once...twice. For a second, it didn’t make sense. They weren’t supposed to be here. They were never… there. A strange, hollow feeling spread through him, pushing out the warmth that had filled his chest just seconds ago. “You…” Sora’s voice came out quieter than he expected. “You’re here.” His father gave a small nod, like this was a routine obligation. “We received a notice in the mail from the school.” ..Of course.. Not, I wanted to come. Not, I’m proud of you. Just… because they suddenly remembered he existed. Sora swallowed as he felt something tight forming in his throat. His stepmother’s gaze flicked between him and Fang, her expression sharpening further, lips pressing into a thin line. Her grip on her daughter’s hand tightened slightly, pulling the girl behind her as if shielding her. “This,” she said under her breath restlessly “how can you show such a disgusting display out in public.” Sora flinched as something inside him recoiled at her words. The little girl looked confused, glancing up at her mother, then back at Sora. There was no judgment there, she didn’t under stand the situation at all. Sora forced himself to take a calm breath. His eyes returned to his father, searching it out for something. Anything. Recognition. Discomfort. Pride. But his father’s expression remained distant. Clinical. Like he was observing a situation he didn’t quite want to engage with. “Sora,” he said, measured, “I think you should be more mindful of how your behavior effects others.” There it was. No, congratulations. No, how have you been. Sora let out a small, humorless exhale. Of course. For a fleeting second, the old instinct kicked in. That quiet, familiar urge to shrink, to apologize, to make things easier for everyone. To be smaller. Less inconvenient and to just follow what they said. The version of himself they had always preferred. But it wasn’t who he was anymore. But still, hearing his father talking to him like that, made Sora feel incredibly ashame. Because Fang was right there, hearing it all. Because he could hear Asta’s laughter somewhere in the background with his family. Because of all the hard work Sora had put himself through to stand here today —standing in a graduation gown he'd earned himself, following a future he'd chose for himself. Not for them or anyone else's sake. Sora straightened slightly. His hand, almost unconsciously, found Fang’s and held onto it firm and tightly. “I am being mindful,” Sora said, his voice calm and clear. His father’s brow furrowed faintly, like he didn’t quite understand that response. Sora meet his gaze fully. “You just don’t know me well enough to recognize it.” Sora glanced briefly at the little girl, offering her a small, gentle smile. She hesitated, then gave a tiny one back, still half-hidden behind her mother. Something in Sora’s chest softened at that. Although he had insert that he wouldn't want to meet her. It wasn’t her fault it was her parents. Sora looked back at his father. “I graduated,” he said simply. “…Yes,” his father replied. “You did.” It sounded almost like an afterthought. Sora nodded once. And for the first time, it didn’t hurt the way it used to. Because he realized something. Standing there in the middle of the noise and the tension and the distance that had always defined them. He didn’t need more from them. “I have people waiting for me,” Sora said, looking at Fang. Toward something that actually felt like 'home'. Then back again. “It was… good to see you.” That was a lie. Sora turned, to get away from them, from the weight of expectations that were never really his to carry. But he wasn’t allowed to. “Oh no—you don’t get to walk away like that.” the sharp edge in his stepmother’s voice cut through the air as she stepped forward, heels striking hard against the floor. People nearby began to glance over. “How can you be so disrespectful?” she snapped. “Speaking to your father like that. After everything he’s done for you?” Sora stopped in this tracks the slowly he turned back, but this time there was no calm obedience in his eyes. “And what exactly has he done?” he asked. And she pressed on, her voice rising. “If it wasn’t for him, you wouldn’t even be graduating today. Everything you have—” “That’s not true.” Sora’s voice cut her off, sharp louder than before. A few more heads turned. She blinked, startled. “Excuse me?” “I said that’s not true.” Sora wasn’t gonna let her play down his achievements. His chest rose and fell a little faster, his jaw tight as he stepped forward just enough to close some of the distance. “You don’t get to stand there,” he continued, voice steady but raised, “and act like I owe you anything.” Her expression hardened. “Watch your tone—” “No. You watch yours.” Sora shot back. “Don’t think I didn’t hear what you said,” Sora added, the anger finally breaking through fully. “Calling me, calling us disgusting!” His hand tightened slightly at his side, his body angling just enough to make it clear exactly who he meant. “You don’t get to come into my life out of nowhere and judge me like that.” There was a flicker of something in her eyes, shock, maybe, but it didn’t last. “If you had any decency—” “Decency?” Sora let out a short, disbelieving laugh. “You want to talk about decency?” His voice rose another notch. Yeah, he knew his father and stepmom had been together before his parents was divorced. How else would it explaine his half sister's arrival just 7 months later? “Neither my mother or father has given me a cent since I was sixteen.” People were definitely watching now. Curious by nature of the commotion His father shifted, like he might step in, but Sora didn’t look at him. “I paid for everything on my own,” Sora went on, words coming faster now, years of frustration finally spilling out. “School. Living expenses. Everything.” He gestured vaguely, frustrated energy bleeding into his gestures. “The only think he has given me was a roof over my head when I was a minor. And that apartment” he added. “I’ve paid back almost all of it.” His stepmother opened her mouth, but Sora didn’t give her the chance. “I kept track,” he said, voice firm. “So don’t stand there and pretend like I owe my life to you. I don’t.” The space between them felt charged with electricity.
