did you know that Kuwabara Mizuna has wrote some Novel (prequel) it's about the first time all the Uesugi Yashashuu has met after their death

Mirage of Blaze: a prequel (vol.4) Naoe/Kagetora afterthought

 

What's going on in Naoe's mind as he's sitting there watching Kagetora (who is ill or injured, I gather, not just sleeping), is how he keeps having this dream of "pinning Kagetora down", even though he's never had even a single moment of desiring another man before. And he recalls feeding Kagetora mouth-to-mouth when he'd been ill, and that it was of course, he adds, no different than giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to someone who wasn't breathing. But, he remembers, he pressed his lips against Kagetora's once more after that, without any reason to. And he's thinking that these dreams he's been having (every night)

is a result of him having felt Kagetora's lips and that he can't tell anyone about it. At which point Irobe Katsunaga walks up, saying, "What are you doing here?"… for character development and such, it seems like a good indication that, given how Naoe is only now realizing how he feels about Kagetora, Kagetora himself is probably completely unaware of it. Naoe at this point, in what I've read, is very restrained about these particular feelings. Naoe is already ensnared in the baby grip of his obsession, but Kagetora is still clueless and therefore being, you know, ultra serious about mizugori. (I just had to add that, in Kagetora's defense.

Of course, I could be wrong, but this is my grasp of things so far.) Meanwhile, Naoe is angsting and probably thinking something similar to what he once told Takaya. "You have no idea what I want from you."
