M-jow
Julius nodded then thought for a moment. "If you don't mind a big cake then how about a tower weeding cake? That way we can do all the flavours instead of just one. As you just said" Julius asked as folded the napkin in his lap. Or more like, his fingers just played with the napkin absent mindedly. "That reminds me." On a more serious note he turned face fully to Yukie. "How many people are we gonna expect? Are we gonna invite all the elders and tribe leaders? Or someone more quiet with just friends and family?" He asked as he couldn't reminds if they'd actually really talked about that. Julius had only told Yukie that he wouldn't expect his own father to come. He would send the man an invite but he highly doubted he would hear back from him. Maybe a cousin or two would show if Julius invited them. Although he hadn't really spoken much with them since childhood. Thinking of his family always made Julius feel quiet sad.. but he had been used to it for a long time by now, so his face almost gave nothing away. Julius leaned his shoulders against Yukie's. Searching for reassurance by the person he loved the most. Yukie's family would be his new family. If the old one couldn't accept him. He chose to be with the onces who did. .............. Honey you could pick the most expensive bottle and I still wouldn't mind it" he assured him as he got up slowly. On 7/25/2025 at 7:17 AM, Yukonwolfspirit said: "Why don’t I join you outside? I’m a bit more hearty in the sun in this form provided I cover the skin half.” "Sure but there is barely any sun left now, so maybe a shirt to keep you warm, just in case?." Yumro suggested. Yumro’s ears had already picked up on two sets of hoves coming from the bath before Haru appeared. Apparently Haru somehow now remembered how to change into this form after stressing about not being able to for a long time. "Haruhi are you definitely sure you didn't clone him?" Yumro tried to put on a serious face although he could barely hold a grin back. "This young centaur looks exactly like you did. He even belives every word coming out of Yukie's mouth.. just like you" He nugded Haruhi then duck back before his mate could hit him. He chuckled. Then turned to Haru and gently petted the young centaur's back. "Yukie would never shoot either of you. If any of you got hurt I will take care of you. There are a big driffrence between you guys and a regular horse. Oh and don’t worry about slipping in the sand even if you do its a soft landing. Only on hard slippy surfaces like hardwood floors or ice should you be careful." "Now lets turn the grill on and prepare for delicious food." Yumro smiled as he leaded the small group outside onto the deck. There were outdoor sitting area. But when they got out onto the deck Yumro noticed how driffrent it looked. Shan had hung fariy lights up around the walls and trees. In the setting sun it looked like fireflies and there were flowers on the table along with lots of pretty blue and green seashells in. Yukonwolfspirit
“The wedding I would like to be a touch smaller, more intimate with close family and friends….while the reception I think should be bigger more of a party and less pressure and eyes on us.” Yukie explained as he held Julius’s hand and gently kissed it. “The elders will be there for the wedding, my mother and children and grandchildren…and your guests.” Yukie stated very delicately at the end as he knew Julius’s father was most likely against their union. “Then everyone else will be at the reception. I’ve got everything planned and ready for it course I’ll have to ask for Yumro to help with some technical things.” Yukie added as he had been working up the demon symbols in his spare time to make a grand arena for the many guests where everyone could come and go as they pleased. “You just need to worry about making sure you get your beauty sleep~” Yukie teased as he pulled Julius easily on his lap only to instantly start snuggling and smothering Julius in delicate kisses. “And then there’s the honeymoon~ we can go wherever and for as long as you want. Your choice~” Yukie promised with a happy smirk at them enjoying a romantic getaway. ———— “mmh defiantly not a clone, though he’s looking much like he use to.” Haruhi stated his voice uneasy as he scoffed at Yumros sudden comment about them being so gullible and lightly moved to smack him only to find Yumro had expected this and moved away from him. Haruhi had seen over time small bits and pieces of this form Haru used. He would catch him shifted when sleeping on those rare relaxed nights, Haruhi would never admit to Haru he saw this form though. He knew Haru couldn’t fully master it and half transforming as a way to start was always met with icy anger and frustration from Haru who refused to try. To see Haru like this now forcing so many new full forms without regard and without exhaustion…or worse concern for his health…it worried him and it was hard for Haruhi to accept and let Haru make his own choices when they were dangerous. Letting out a small sigh Haruhi only took Yumros hand in a show of needing support before releasing him as he moved away. Haru refused to meet his mother’s eyes, still feeling uneasy in this skin. He still felt so much shame for what he was, he felt unease wondering if he looked more like his bastard father than mother. He so desperately wished he had been Yumros…to look like the man he wanted as a father. He was sure Yumro was just being kind saying he look just like Haruhi but he didn’t see it…he didn’t want to see it at times because he didn’t feel like one steady person. Haru had forced this form he wanted to belong…to feel like he was Haruhi’s…to feel like he could be Yumros…he had learned that even the eel had others like him though smaller in form in a way it belonged. Haru so desperately wanted to fit in somewhere in the world in some way with the family he chose, even if it was agonizing and painful at times to fit that mold. As Haru stood there listening to Yumro he subconsciously flinched at Yumros gentle touch the touch being so new and with his nerves on edge it had been more of a knee jerk reaction. Frowning more at the mention of his worry of death being something so minor and a joke Haru could only huff in annoyance. “I don’t see much difference…in either…demons are boiled down to basic monstrous animals it’s how they were created and formed.” Haru mumbled as he moved away from Yumro and followed them outside only to stop and look at the yard and than Shan wondering how long he had planned this surprise. ”Oh this is beautiful.” Haruhi gasped as he looked around the sitting area admiring Shans handiwork. “Where did you get the lights?” Haruhi asked as he walked over and ruffled Shans head lovingly. M-jow
"I like that" Julius nodded genuine glad for a smaller gathering around the weeding it self. That meant they could just relaxe and enjoy the moment without any pressure to keep an image infront of any elders or journalists. 16 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: "You just need to worry about making sure you get your beauty sleep~” Julius let out a flat, dry chuckle “Ha ha” but it quickly turned into a startled squeak as Yukie pulled him onto his lap. He wasn’t exactly opposed to it, just completely unprepared. A soft blush colored his cheeks from the sound he’d made, but the warmth of Yukie’s arms around him and the gentle kisses that followed quickly melted his embarrassment away. He leaned in closer, nestling comfortably against him. His fingers curled into the fabric of Yukie’s shirt. He’d faced spirits, curses, magical blunders that would make most people run screaming… and yet one unexpected pull into a lap, and he was squeaking like a startled mouse. Julius giggled, eyes sparkling. “Babe~ don’t eat me, I’m not cake,” he teased, lips brushing Yukie’s ear. “You’ve really got a sweet tooth today.” His heart fluttering like it had no intention of calming down. The scent of Yukie’s skin was dizzying, like comfort laced with something dangerously addictive. His arms were warm around him, firm but gentle, and the kisses soft, teasing, and far too sweet. A quiet laugh slipped from his lips, this one smaller, more vulnerable. “Seriously,” he murmured against Yukie’s collar, “you’re the only person I know who would pull an grown man into his lap for snuggles in the middle of a bakery." They were pretty much the only once here right now, but even if there been others Julius wouldn't have care anyway. The human sighed. "What am I to do when you go huh?.. I really don’t wanna let go" he said more to himself than Yukie. As he breathed his mate's scent in like he was gonna save this moment forever. "You know I'm gonna be sleeping on your side of the bed, in your shirts. You better be back before they loss your scent." ---------------------- 16 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: "I don’t see much difference…in either…demons are boiled down to basic monstrous animals it’s how they were created and formed.” "Well, for one a horse wouldn’t put weight off the bad leg long enough for it to heal on its own. But a demon knowes how to act for themself to survive." Yumro simply replied. "Yukie just has a habit to think fear is the best way of parenting. Stopped you from running around the house didn't it?" Point pretty much proven. Shan had just lid the last candle on the table when the family came out side. He blow out the match and smiled at everyones suprised faces. He wanted to cheer Haru up and he hoped it worked. 16 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: "Oh this is beautiful... Where did you get the lights?” Shan shrugged. He just picked them up by traveling through the shadow-ralm and going across the ocean. "It's a shadow thing... I want to brightened then deck and so" the boy blushed as Haruhi ruffled his hair. Then he looked at Haru. I found all kinds of more flowers and took one of each back. I picked them just as you showed me without damaging the roots. I thought maybe you'd like to add some to your collection or something."
Yukonwolfspirit
23 hours ago, M-jow said: "What am I to do when you go huh?.. I really don’t wanna let go" “mmmh I’ll make sure to visit often, if I can weekly.” Yukie murmured as he played with Julius’s hair knowing he couldn’t promise anything but he would try. As he continued to play with Julius’s hair he moved down to his lovers face and kissed Julius’s lips softly a deep sigh escaping his lips as he snuggled into Julius even more, holding his precious mate all the closer to his heart. If the thought of leaving was painful, Yukie could only imagine how it would feel to really leave. 23 hours ago, M-jow said: "You know I'm gonna be sleeping on your side of the bed, in your shirts. You better be back before they loss your scent." “I wouldn’t ever let you lose my scent~” Yukie teased as he smirked at how much Julius adored his smell. “Maybe I’ll make sure you’re drowning in my scent before I leave, make every inch of you smell like me.” Yukie teased as he let Julius go from his arms and set him on his feet so they could go fix themselves and look at flowers with the time they had left together. ———————— “Thank you, I’ll make sure to put them away after dinner.” Haru said as he blushed at Shans kindness while he looked over the beautiful flowers. “You might have to water them while I’m gone.” Haru mumbled as he settled down in the sand by the table finding the warm sand rather relaxing. “If I write will you write back?” Haru asked Shan not wanting to loose contact with his friend. ”Maybe we should put a bell on Shan, he seems able to vanish to easily. It worries me.” Haruhi chuckled amused by Shans shenanigans as he stood beside Yumro now and watched him working the grill with great skill. “Need any help?” Haruhi asked as he wanted to just spend time with Yumro but well didn’t know how to do such a thing while Yumro was busy cooking. M-jow
Julius barely had time to steady himself as Yukie set him down, his knees a little too soft, his breath a little too shallow. His body still hummed from the heat of those kisses, from the way Yukie had held him like he belonged there. Like he was something to savor. He reached for the edge of the counter to brace himself, though part of him still wanted to reach for Yukie instead. The spot where those arms had wrapped around him felt achingly bare now, like a jacket shrugged off too soon in the cold. His fingers grazed the hem of his shirt and he smiled faintly, his lips tingling from the ghost of a kiss that hadn't quite been enough. “Drowning in your scent,” he murmured under his breath, lips curling as he watched Yukie walk ahead. “You say that like it’s a threat.” His gaze dipped lower, shameless, hungry in a quiet, private way. There were moments when Yukie looked like danger disguised as desire. Julius had always had a weakness for beautiful, dangerous things. Every step Yukie took away from him stretched thin the string of tension between them, taut with longing. He was already counting the seconds until they could be tangled up again, skin to skin, breath to breath. The bakery was still mostly empty, the smell of sugar and spice thick in the air, but none of it compared to Yukie’s scent still clinging to his skin. Julius swore he could still feel the press of lips at his neck, the promise of more left lingering like fingerprints. He followed, slowly, letting his fingers brush the edge of the table they passed. his way of staying grounded, when everything inside him was threatening to float. His eyes never left Yukie. There was something unbearably tender in the ache between wanting and not having, and Julius was caught in it. He didn't say anything as they neared the flowers, but the look he gave Yukie said enough: 'I want more time. I want more of you. I’m not done feeling you on me.' And as he walked just a step behind, he thought. 'Next time you pull me into your lap like that, don’t let go so soon.' ------------------ “I doubt a bell would make any difference, and he’s not a cat,” Yumro laughed. Of course, he could always sense where Shan was, thanks to his innate connection to all beings from his realm (the Shadow Realm.) He didn’t monitor every creature individually; that would be far too exhausting. Besides, he believed Shan deserved more privacy than most. The boy had become part of the family. And yet, Yumro could never quite see Shan the same way he saw Haru. He loved Haru like his own flesh and blood. But Shan... Shan was different. Sweet and endearing, yes. Haru’s best friend, and someone Haruhi clearly adored. Shan even called Haruhi "Mom," which brought joy to Yumro’s mate. But Yumro wasn’t sure he could truly step into a parental role for the boy. Especially given that, technically, he was Shan’s superior. Did he care about Shan? Absolutely. But Yumro struggled to reconcile that care with the boundaries of duty. After all, Shan had originally been placed with Haru to protect him. If necessary, he had been expected to give his life to fulfill that purpose. Haruhi had practically adopted the boy by now... but Yumro couldn’t bring himself to see Shan as his own, not in the same way he saw Haru. --- Yumro smirked as he was firing up the grill. He hadn't done this in forever. Atleast not since they were young. But he had prepared his own food over open fire while out on missions for years. It had taught him great cooking skills on an open fire. 15 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: “Need any help?” "Are you offering?" Yumro smiled lovingly at his mate. He didn’t need help but he wasn't gonna reject Haruhi when the other clearly need an exuse to be close to him. "You can help with the spices. Just don’t get too close to the fire. I don't want you to get hurt." He leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on Haruhi's cheek. Then he glanced back at the boys. Haru properly prefered his food not touching any meat so he made sure to devide the grill so there were no risk for vegetables and meat to cross contaminate. 15 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: "Thank you, I’ll make sure to put them away after dinner.” Shan beamed like a dog whom had just resived praise. He hoped this had helped Haru into a better mood. He didn’t like the thought of Haru being stressed, angry or sad. He like it much better when Haru smiled. He had the most brightest one that always made Shan feel warm inside. 16 hours ago, Yukonwolfspirit said: “If I write will you write back?” Shan nodded. “Of course I will! I’ll write to you no matter what—otherwise, you might forget all about me. My writing may not be as good as yours, but you still have to read every single one,” he said firmly. “And you’ll have to leave me a guide on how to take care of your entire collection.” He hesitated for a moment, then looked at Haru, his voice quieter but more intense. “I’m really going to miss you, you know. Like... more than I probably even realize right now. It already feels strange thinking about you not being here. You’ve just always been part of my day. And I don’t know what it’s going to be like without that.” He forced a smile, but his eyes betrayed the emotion behind it. “So yeah, write back, okay?.”
Yukonwolfspirit
Yukie smiled as he caught Julius’s look to him, one of longing and a deep sadness of letting go. Yukie gently took Julius’s hand and lead him inside before he let it go only to stand in front of the flowers his back to Julius as he seemed to play with the colors of flowers at hand. To anyone else watching it looked like he was hell bent on making a bouquet to test out color patterns and flowers and was overly busy enjoying the task. Yukie hummed as he walked around almost ignoring Julius in a way as he picked and matched some flowers and other things, only stopping once he gathered everything at a table with vases and ribbons on it. After a few minutes of mysterious work Yukie finally turned quickly back to Julius a smile on his face as he placed a delicate yet intricately crafted flower crown on Julius’s head. “Here we go, something blue and beautiful, course I think the silver ribbon is nice touch along with the floral diamond pins.” Yukie said as he held some crystal bobby pins in his mouth. Mumbling as he spoke he stood still in front of Julius, his hands worked endlessly as they carefully pinned up his mates beautiful blonde hair. (hopefully I’m right on the color >_<; ) Looking at Julius Yukie just smiled as he added delicate fresh forget me nots, some small pearl pins, and then pulled out from the top of the table, the items rising from in a deep black a cloud of smoke, some silver forget me not hair clips. The custom hair clips were a shining silver adding an enchanting sparkle and shine that to Yukie only completed the look. “There, all done. I think something like this would be fun for the reception if you would like, or maybe a design for the bouquet? Or just a special treat for today? I thought that the hair pins would be a surprise little gift for you, to make you smile.” Yukie explained as he didn’t want to see such a deep longing sadness in Julius’s eyes. Waving a hand a long mirror moved in front of them showing Julius in full his handiwork before wrapping his arms lovingly around his mate just holding him in the moment. (Hair clips like this, but grand in beauty and well hair clips.) —————————- “Oh spices eh? Not as exciting as the grill, I would much rather play with the fire and lose my gorgeous eyebrows.” Haruhi teased with a roll of his eyes as he grabbed a small bowl and mixed together the spices before handing it over to Yumro. “Despite the worry, I’m going to miss him.” Haruhi admitted as he glanced at the boys a small pang of worry hitting him at how soon Haru would be leaving them. “Going to have to get a very time consuming hobby…maybe I should grow mushrooms or something?” Haruhi admitted with a small chuckle at how silly growing mushrooms would be as a hobby since he had no interest in the hobby. “Maybe you could teach me a skill or something?” Haruhi teased Yumro as he settled down beside him in the sand just watching Yumro cook comfortably from his laid down position since he was quite tall in his centaur form. —————— “Oh, I’ll write back to you I’ll send something every day if I can. As for the plants…I-I already have a carebook…kinda wrote one out for you when I first thought about going. I wrote a few for you…I don’t think anyone else would be able to take such good care of them.” Haru mumbled as he played in the sand for a moment his face a little red at admitting all of this to Shan. He was honest when it came to how much he trusted Shan to care for everything. “I’m going to miss you also…I mean, I’ve never had a friend like you…or someone I cared about so much outside of mom and dad.” Haru added as he looked up at Shan. “I promise to write often…but you need to promise to be careful and safe I don’t think I could handle coming back to you being hurt….or worse.” Haru whispered a hint of deep worry in his voice at the thought of Shan getting hurt or leaving forever while he was away. M-jow
Julius blinked at his reflection, caught between breathless surprise and a slow-building warmth that spread like sunlight through his chest. The mirror showed him not as he always saw himself. The flower crown rested light and cool against his hair, the silver ribbon catching the light like moonlight on water. The pins sparkled like stars tucked into golden strands, each touch speaking of thoughtfulness, of time spent with him in mind. Julius raised a hand, brushing his fingers along the edge of the crown, then down to one of the delicate forget-me-nots nestled near his temple. It was beautiful. Not just the design, but the gesture. The care and thoughtfulness from Yukieto include his favourite flower. He exhaled a quiet laugh, short and breathy, as the last of that ache inside him began to ebb away. He wasn’t alone now. Yukie always found ways to bring him back to the present, to remind him that this wasn’t some dream waiting to dissolve. “I look like something out of a midsummer fairytale,” Julius murmured, lips quirking in a crooked grin as he tilted his head to catch the light. His voice had lost that earlier edge of longing, now replaced by something gentler, awed and a little amused. “Didn’t know you were secretly trying to impress me with your crafting skills.” His hand dropped, brushing lightly against Yukie’s where they’d wrapped around him. And for once, he didn’t think about how it would feel when the moment ended. He just leaned back into it, letting himself rest in that quiet embrace. The warmth of Yukie’s chest at his back, the faint scent of flowers and magic still lingering in the air. It grounded him, even as it made him want to laugh at how utterly ridiculous and good it all felt. “I love it,” Julius said simply, not needing to dress it up in anything more. "And the pins… You’re really something else, you know that?” He turned slightly, just enough to glance up at Yukie over his shoulder. His expression was open now, all the edges softened by affection, by the weight of what had just been given to him. Not the crown, not the pins, but the reminder: Yukie would always be here with him in his heart. Just as he would carry Julius in his. Julius smiled, and this time it reached all the way to his eyes. “Let’s make it a design for the bouquet. And… yeah. Maybe for the reception too. It's so pretty. I knew you were good with your hands but you always suprises me. I’m really a lucky guy, to get all of this.” Julius blushed as he signal to all of Yukie with his hand. He didn’t shy away, he really meant it. He stood there, proud and glowing in Yukie’s embrace. "Honesty I've never actually been good with arranging flowers. Cutting them up into potions, or growing them, are more my speciality. I like flowers and plants, but well.. don't laugh at me." Julius explain as he turned in Yukie’s arms. Yukie energy was contentious. He was so cute when he smiled like this. Julius took the last diamond pin from Yukie's hand and tangled it into the right side of Yukie’s hair just above his ear. He bite a small bit of his bottom lip. Yukie was always so good looking. Like all the best put together to create the perfect being. Although Yukie himself didn’t always see himself that way, Julius did. "I really, really like it. But it’s it a bit too much?" He asked unsure. "I don't need a crown to feel like I'm marrying a prince" he teased light the kissed the corner of Yukie’s lips. -------------- Shan nodded. " Of course. Nothing is gonna happen anyway with you not here is gonna be quiet boring actually.... I mean. I like them and all but you know how Haruhi and Yumro can be when together. Like they are caught up in their own world and I'll just be a third weel. That part I am not looking forward to" Shan made a face. He wasn’t against them at all. But as a kid it felt awkward watching your parents kiss and cuddle. ---------------- The fire crackled low as Yumro stood over the grill, adjusting skewers with practiced hands. The smoke curled upward, spiced and savory, mixing with the salty scent of the nearby sea. Cooking like this brought back years of memory. Late nights in wild terrain and survival training. He glanced over his shoulder toward Haruhi, who rested not far off in his natural centaur form. Yumro’s gaze softened instantly. Behind him, Haruhi lounged in the sand in his tall centaur form, tail flicking lazily, a soft smile on his lips as he watched the boys from afar. Yumro didn’t need to look to know where Haruhi’s gaze lingered. It was always on Haru, with that quiet blend of pride and sorrow only a parent could carry. Yumro turned from the fire briefly, to lean over to where Haruhi lay stretched out. He reached down, brushing a strand of hair from Haruhi’s face, then leaned in to press a lingering kiss to his cheek. “You’re staring,” Yumro murmured, affection in his voice. "You made a good kid there, you are a wonderful parent no matter what you may think." The boys were nearby, seated in the sand. Haru was speaking. His voice animated even in low tones, but Shan sat mostly still, listening more than talking. Yumro’s eyes flicked to the boys for a beat longer. Then he returned his attention to the grill so their food wouldn't get burned. Footsteps approached, slow and light. Yumro didn’t look up until Shan spoke up softly, almost reluctant. “…It smells really good.” Yumro didn’t smile, but his tone lost its usual edge. “It’s almost ready.” Shan didn’t move closer, just stood at a distance where the heat of the fire barely reached. He wasn’t looking to talk. Yumro knew that. “You handled Haru well earlier,” Yumro said after a long pause, his voice low, almost casual. Shan looked down, shifting his weight. “I didn’t do much.” “You didn’t need to.” Yumro glanced over, just briefly then nodded. Shan didn’t respond. But he didn’t leave, either. The fire popped and hissed as Yumro turned the last skewer, checking for doneness. Haru’s vegetables were carefully kept separate, untouched by meat. He took that seriously. Behind him, Haruhi shifted slightly in the sand, Yumro could hear the soft movement, hooves in sand, the familiar presence drawing his awareness like gravity. Without turning, he reached for a prepared plate and set it on a nearby flat stone and positioned it where Haruhi could easily reach it without needing to ask. Yumro didn’t say anything, but the way he placed it. Carefully arranged it so with Haruhi’s favorites at the top. Spoke louder than any words would have. Then, to Shan: “Let Haru know it’s time to eat. You can help carry the rest to the table if you want.” Shan gave a quiet nod and turned without a word. Yumro returned his attention to the fire, adding another piece of wood, adjusting the coals. The rhythm of it was comforting. Behind him, the low sounds of conversation drifted. As everyone gathered.
