Luca had been taken, taken... wasn't the right word. Luca had been forced to go with his father, who he had never met. He'd spent his life with his mother and step father, and whenever she spoke of him she spoke of him like he was an angel. White hair and teal eyes that were flecked with gold - Luca looked a lot like him, he had the teal eyes the white hair, the slender build and jawline. The man he now knew was his father ground against his gears. He had come out of no where, much to his mother's dismay, and demanded that Luca come with him, if he didn't the man would kill his mother, brothers and sisters. It was enough to get Luca to give in to the demands of the lunatic, leaving his mother and younger siblings behind. Luca had just graduated high school and was headed into his first year of college... the only positive he could find in this was at least he didn't have to figure out a way to finish paying for college. He was on a scholarship but now none of it mattered. Hearing not only that there was another world where magical creatures existed was a shock, but what was almost more shocking was the fact that their world wasn't very different from the one Luca came from. Because magical creatures could walk back and forth between the worlds (with quite a bit of effort as Luca found out) they had brought electricity, hell they'd even magically enhanced cell phones - making them better, faster. There was a whole profession in magical engineering in this world... but there were bigger things to worry about - everything here had its own powers - everything here had the ability to kill you, quickly.

Luca was brought in bound so that he didn't run, despite him promising he wouldn't go - for the sake of his family. Then was given a crash course in how to use magic the half pixie didn't even know he had until that time. He was shown how to fly, how to use magic and the basics of how court worked in this new world. Apparently they only had a week - when he found out ~why~ they only had a week he about lost it. Engaged to a prince? A prince himself?! A peace offering so that the kingdoms could stop warring with each other?! Pixies and demons were enemies by birthright?! Fuck it was all so confusing. But it didn't matter, when the day came Luca was dressed in his kingdoms best. His hair was long so it had been braided down the nape of his neck and they had put makeup on him, customary pixie thing is what they told him. Fucking ridiculous, so he showed up to what was his wedding in a royal blue jacket that looked like it was from the 1800s (Because apparently fashion in this world moved at the pace of a snail covered in salt), black pants and a white button down. He looked livid as they got ready, minor talk about whether he should wear white happened... apparently he was considered the bride, and at the last minute they changed his outfit. He still didn't even know who he was marrying! The blue jacket came off after he had some time to get acquainted with some duke from his father's kingdom and they threw him into a white jacket that was similar enough to the blue.

This made Luca look ethereal, beautiful even. There was no doubt in his shimmering eye makeup and bright blue eyes that he was royal, he walked like a royal, he seemed put off of the whole even through. So when time came to walk down the isle he waited a few seconds too long - alerting the guests of his hesitation before his father literally -forced- him to get moving. As he walked he allowed his head to bow, he didn't want to see these faces, or look onto the face of the prince he was being forced to marry. He didn't even know what a prince did in a place like this, in a time such as the one this culture apparently lived in. He had a small box in his hand, apparently when families were joined royally they exchanged heirlooms... Luca had been sent up with a star-rose broach. It was actually quite beautiful, a silver piece with stars embedded into deep teal gems, the stars resembled a rose that grew in his kingdom and it was on the family crest. When he finally reached where he was meant to stand he lifted his eyes slowly - taking in the image of his fiancé for the first time since he heard of this whole ordeal a week ago, and his breath caught. He didn't want to do this... fuck did he not want this.

The pixie king had a son. Sui couldn't believe it. The pixie king had a son, who Sui was going to marry. It felt like a nightmare, all the plans Sui had made went out the window as soon as the wedding was arranged. His father had let the country fall apart, and now some incompetent pixie was going to get involved. Sui had even heard that his fiance had been living in another world his whole life, how could he be allowed to have any input in running a country he probably had never heard of?

But Sui wasn't the king yet, so he had no choice. Even if he did it would be extremely rude to reject a proposal and could spark another war between the kingdoms.

His plans could change, but the biggest question was how much his husband might get involved. If this 'Luca' insisted on having a say in all the country's decisions then the state of the country could get even worse. He wondered if his fiance even knew about Sui's race, he had heard that the word 'demon' meant something horrible and evil in many worlds. Was Luca's world one of those?

Sui had to push all those thoughts to the back of his mind as the wedding preparations began. He was dressed in flowing robes made of purple silk and feathers. His neck and horns were decorated with thin cords of gold and silver that sparkled with his every movement. His face was lightly decorated with shimmery makeup which made him look almost ethereal. Every movement he made was extremely graceful from years of practice, when he walked he looked like he was gliding across the ground.

For now he waited at the alter, standing straight and tall His gaze followed the other man down the aisle, noting his reluctance. Or perhaps it was fear? Either way Sui refrained from showing his own emotions.

Sui had his own heirloom in a box in his hands, it was a necklace made out of a type pearl that could only be found in his country. Each pearl was pale purple with a pink sheen. In the center of the necklace was Sui's family crest carved into a golden pendant.

Luca's eyes traced over the demon, well... he was very pink. That was unusual enough to note, then the antlers, ugh, he thought he might pass out. Luca was lucky enough that apparently english was the language the mystical creatures had chosen to bring back with them from the human world, so his father assured him that most races spoke multiple languages, and one of them was almost always English. What a freakin universe, if the American's ever found out that =EVERYONE= spoke English, even people in other worlds they would feel so validated Luca didn't even want to think about it.

Still, his face as it gazed upon the other showed know joy, no happiness, it had been obvious by puffy eyes that he had recently cried and now he was numb, standing on the alter and staring at his future with someone he had never met. Arranged marriage... what a crock. Luca had even asked why his father hadn't set one of his apparent many brother's and sisters, but they had already been assigned their husbands and wives and this would avoid a war. It was important... apparently.

The person anointing the marriage began speaking, and on cue Luca lifted his heirloom box, handing it to his fiance, and then sliding the ring onto his finger, he spoke his short vow of loyalty to the prince, avoiding his eyes whenever he could.

Sui handed the pixie his own heirloom box and slid his ring onto his own finger. The puffy eyes of his finace- no, his husband, made his heart hurt. It brought back too many painful memories. Luca looked so small and vulnerable, for a moment Sui just wanted to forget their differences and pull the other male into his arms. But he couldn't. He didn't even know if Luca's emotions were genuine. It was entirely possible that he was faking and would just act as a spy.

The demon prince spoke his vows in his native language before the common language of English. He kept his eyes on Luca's face, showing him with respect even if the other wasn't showing the same respect. Finally the moment came. He stepped closer and lifted Luca's chin with one hand, staring into his eyes for a moment before sealing their union with a gentle kiss. He could only assume that the other wasn't exactly thrilled about this, but it was necessary so he hoped that Luca wouldn't try to pull away. Even if Sui didn't take it as an insult, it could be taken as one by someone else of importance in his country. If the wedding went wrong then it could cause even more problems for their countries.

  • 3 weeks later...

When the demon in front of him lifted his chin Luca's bottom lip wobbled, tears brimmed his eyes but he managed to keep them from falling. Terrified, angry, it was all flooding through him - but he didn't pull away for the kiss. He knew better, the lives of his family back home were on the line, and after seeing how his father lived for a few short weeks before the wedding he didn't doubt for a moment he would execute his plan to kill his family one by one in order to get his way. Luca bit his bottom lip hard, after the kiss, drawing a bit of blood to his pale, shimmering skin. He tasted the iron, and wiped it away with the sleeve of his attire, not thinking how that impropriety must have looked.

The crimson on his jacket brought him crashing back to reality, and he looked up at his... at his husband. "I'm sorry." He turned his head - unable to keep his eyes on the demon for long at any given time. When they were released from the alter Luca moved with his husband to the dance floor where they had to dance. It was tradition. He'd even learned the dance of Sui's homeland, in order to better please his new husband, but once this pomp and circumstance was over he hoped that Sui didn't believe he would be thrilled with all of this, and compliant with the lifestyle he was forced into.

A soft sigh escaped Sui's lips as the pixie wiped his mouth. He glanced around to make sure no one had noticed before turning his attention to his new husband. "It's fine..." He murmured in response to the apology. He really didn't mind, there was no reason for him to think that Luca would want to kiss.

His hand moved to hold Luca's waist as they walked to the dance floor, it was just for appearances of course. Sui had learned some of the pixie kingdom's dances in case his new husband wished to do more than just one dance. But Sui highly doubted that would be the case.

He wordless began to dance with the pixie in the middle of the floor, careful not to move too quickly in case Luca wasn't familiar with all the steps. The guests stood in a circle around them, watching the movements as the music swelled. It all felt like some kind of strange, impossible dream that Sui wished he could wake from.

Luca allowed himself to be lead to the dance floor, his body easily guided by Sui's lead. The faces that spun around him blurred, none of them mattered. His father was the only one he knew in the crowd, and the sneer on his lips was unnerving. Luca hoped no one noticed the man's appearance, it was embarrassing to see the man watching the two of them as though they were a meal ticket even though Luca's marriage was supposed to be saving Sui's kingdom, not the other way around. When the dance came to an end guests flooded the floor to dance as well.

Luca dislodged himself with a low bow, excusing himself from the dance floor. He wandered away from his husband in the opposite direction of his father, and found a chair that was out of view of most people. He'd not felt so small in a long time, it was suffocating to feel so out of place. Demons of every manner swirled around the dance floor, though none quite as pink as the man he would spend the rest of his life with. He wondered if suicide was an option, or if he could "accidentally" fall from a great height.

The reality was almost anything sounded better than spending his life with a stuck up prince in a place he didn't know without his family. At least they were safe. They had to be, he was sure that his father wasn't done exploiting Luca and he would need them alive as leverage. The man could go back whenever he wanted and kill them all, but if they were dead Luca would rather die than keep serving his father's selfish ways.

Sui watched as his husband pulled away and went off somewhere to hide. He couldn't help but feel a tinge of annoyance with the man for running off. The annoyance quickly faded as he remembered how difficult it must be for Luca, he was leaving his home after all...

For the next hour or so he went around and greeted guests. When asked about Luca he said the pixie was feeling unwell and had just gone to take a brief rest before dinner was served. Eventually he did have to go look for his husband, he would need to have enough time to calm down before joining the guests again.

He did find the pixie after just a few moments, his chest tightening when he did. The pitiful appearance reminded him of his own siblings at their weddings, suddenly bound to a stranger for life. He slowly sat down to the other man, unsure of what he could say. It was true that he didn't want this person as a husband, Sui didn't trust Luca's family at all. But if Luca would just stay out of running the country then at least it would be tolerable.

Luca didn't mean to sulk, it was just a lot to take in the whole frame of his life was shifted greatly and he didn't particularly care for where it had ended up. He watched the figures dancing, eyeing them and their elegance. It was a world he might have been born to, but one he didn't feel he fit in with. Just as he was planning to sneak off to the kitchen in an attempt to do something that might calm his nerves a bit, his new husband had found him, crafty devil, and sat net to him.

Luca looked up, then away, dreaming of making a pie to settle his nerves, even here he was sure the chemistry of making a pie was the same as it was anywhere else. There was a commotion that caused him to look up and over at where the noise had come from, a group of pixies and demons were celebrating - loudly- the joining of their countries. At least someone was happy, as the two princes sat across from each other neither looked happy about the situation.

He assumed it must have been rude for him to just leave his husband on the dance floor to fend for himself in the masses so after a long silence he looked up once more, "I'm sorry... that I left you." He chewed the corner of his mouth, a nervous habit, and looked away again, unable to really handle the sight of his pink counter part.

"There is no need to apologize..." Sui lowered his gaze to the ground, letting out a soft sigh. "I can only imagine how difficult this is for you, and I do not wish to make it any more difficult for you." He looked back up at his husband's face. "I will be here if you would like to talk, but for now it seems like you would like to have time to yourself."

"There will be a banquet soon, I will need you to join me for that. Once dessert is finished we will just have to see the guests off, then we can return to... Our room" He trailed off, realizing that there was no way to avoid sharing a room. If it was to come out that they weren't sharing a bed it would be seen as a sign of distrust.

The demon took a deep breath and rose to his feet again. "Would you like to wait here for a few more minutes, or come with me now?" He offered his hand to the pixie. "I can escort you to the dining table, so you can have a few minutes to settle in before the guests start to sit down."
