Nope. You do not have to watch the movie first before the series because the series is taking an alternative route compared to the movie. They are similar but *coughs coughs* the ending is going to be different. That's all I am going to say without spoiling the series or the film.

People who haven't seen the movie would hate us for being so open about the bittersweet slash sad ending.

I'm not saying the ending was bad — it honestly made me shed a few tears — but I would have wished for a happier ending... because... because I'm an optimist! XD

That being said, I really hope they give us a happy ending here!

The ending in the movie destroyed me. I was genuinely angry after watching this film because of how unnecessary it was. Especially when P'Bank recovered and he found out what happened to his brother but then it turned out in an extra short film that P'Golf was just faking it? I'm not too sure. All I am saying is I really like where this is series is going and hopefully it DOES NOT push the angst upon us. Like... I feel this is going to be like a slow burn.

I hope that this series does not end up like Grey Rainbow or at the ending of My Bromance. Those two plots were the best until they made the seme die. Grey Rainbow ruined me, I was in love with that series until the sad ending happened.
