Phillip was fully alert as soon as he felt the creature draw close, but something seemed strange about it. It seemed somewhat crazed as if with a human-like feeling of pure anger. The snarl made the prince get goosebumps and having sharpened his instinct the majority of his life, he did not hesistate drawing his sword with his left while withdrawing a portion of the powder with his right.

The beast was quick to react but obviously not quite as intelligent as the previous night, attempting to take the brunette's left arm. Phillip reacted quickly as his shoulder was headbutted, throwing the powder bomb into the monster's face, simultanously managing to stab down.

The steel pierced into the abomination's flesh with some effort, slashing open a wound and causing blood to ooze out, for only so long until the monster retreated.

Phillip already expected such reaction. The creature seemed to have lost its minds after just one powder bomb despite the prince being completely unaffected, having been designed specially for it and it alone, somwthing that was to aid him in slaughtering the beast.

A second powder bomb was prepared and the prince's grip on the sword tightened, his eyes completely focused on following the creature, choosing to deliverately taunt it. If it kept moving at such speed, he would have no chance to touch it.

"Did you get so scared you cannot help but run around like a coward?" The prince mocked, not even sure if the abomination could even understand the human languages.

When the prince made fun of the beast, it snarled before licking it's paw and wiping the extra powder off his head. Shaking it out, the creature jumped a little now noticing it's wound. He looked over and began licking it while keeping his attention on the prince. By the time he finished licking the wound, it was no longer bleeding. Still, it hurt so the beast turned away and jumped onto the roof of a building. The creature put himself out of the prince's reach and laid on the roof watching him. The beast could gain strength from the full moon which was why it could stay out the following day and heal wounds, though this was one of the first few times he'd ever had been wounded.

When the prince wouldn't leave him alone, the beast huffed and jumped away from the building and the prince before running off towards the elders house. He climbed onto the roof of the inn and laid down on top of there. Now he was two stories up quite the distance from the prince so Phillip would have a ways to go before catching up. By then, the beasts wound would be healed plenty for him to take the prince. When Phillip finally caught up, the beast looked down at him before making its way down onto the same level. The creature was pretty irritated with the prince but he was ready to fight.

Clawing at the ground a little, the beast stared before starting to circle the human. The beast's fur didn't grow back and it had a weak scar still that was still healing but he wasn't hurt anymore. This was the worst night the prince could take him. Now that his head was clear, the beast was ready to fight. It looked at the sword and how it was held. The beast also kept a close eye on the right hand and what it grabbed. Whatever that powder was, it was not good news.

The beast finally took off towards the prince before jumping to his left so to not be near the powder and the beast tried to grab the prince's left wrist or at least tackle him down.

The beast seemed to have a certain degree of intelligence indeed. Even with his mocking, it did not carelessly charge in. Smart choice. But again. If it wanted to win, it could not hide on the roofs forever.

The abomination seemed to be healing. Phillip half expected such outcome so he was not all that surprised. The full moon was out and shining. Each and every monster that bis family had deslt with up until now was affected by the moonlight in one way or another, and it looked like this one was no exception to the rule.

He watched the circling beast from the corner of his eyes, not breaking his battle stance and staying calm. Panic would easily cost him his life. It was not even a guess but a complete certainty. A smirk appeared on his lips.

The beast finally made its move, aiming surprisingly to the left, away from the powder. But how could he possibly allow himself to be disarmed so easily?

As if having predicted such move, Phillip pulled his elbow back, his sword help straight forward and took a step to the left, halfway spinning his body enough to throw a second powder bomb toward the creature. The prince was smaller in size and not as agile but also he was not going to be that easy to tackle. His entire life was spent in training afterall, and he never slacked off. If he wanted to survive and be victorious, he had to do his best at reading the beast's movements.

The beast brought its tail around towards its face so the to knock the power bomb away. Of course, it exploded but this time, it didn't explode off his head and the creature continued forward, lowering its head farther away from the cloud of powder as the beast continued its momentum forward into the prince's legs. No matter what angle his legs were hit, the prince was going down but if he tried to resist or the beast managed to get him at a bad angle, there was the risk of the prince having his knees broken.

Because its tail hadn't come back to a safe position, the beast had to take a few extra steps before it was able to turn itself around safely. The tail helped keep his balance and made turning a lot easier. Once it was again facing the prince, the beast let out a hissing snarl before going again to try and kill Phillip where he was. The beast didn't care what he got a hold of this time because any injury would hinder the human. If he could get his fangs into the torso or the neck, even better but if Phillip shoved his right arm in the beast's face, he'd lose a limb but would probably live. The best option would be to stuff his left arm out with the sword and hope it makes contact before the beast tears the arm away.

The creature was getting really hungry and this meal was putting up more of a fight than expected. Plus, the sun was starting to rise so the beast only had so much more time before it lost the full moon's direct light. If the full moon wasn't being hindered by the sun, then the beast could draw strength from it but the sun was starting to rise. The beast started to get a bit worried and because of that, got a bit stressed and lunged forward a little more sloppy, getting the sword right across its shoulder.

Roaring in pain, the beast tried to at least scratch Phillip's face with its sharp claws before jumping away and limping a safe distance. This human was way too much trouble. With a huff, the beast turned towards the woods and started to run away. It cradled the injured leg making sure not to put too much pressure. Of course, the beast was considerably slower but was still too fast for a human to keep up with.

The beast returned to the woods for a bit to lick its wound until it was ok to go back. The sun fully rose and no one came out of their houses. The creature hunted for deer and had a meal of it once it's leg was feeling a bit better but the beast stayed near the village just in case another human came out. It kept its eyes out for the prince while still moving around and seeing what else it could do to terrorize the humans.

The fight with the beast did not really give Phillip any time to rest, his guard up the entire time. Any sort of mistake would be costing him his life. He was stressfully aware of it. Yet the prince, with a nearly perfect pokerface, did not betray his feelings. Instead, it seemed that the abomination was the one getting panicky.

The prince caught sight of the slightly sloppy jump and took his chance, striking yet again, managing to land another hit. The price however, despite the monster's failure in scratching his face was getting his ear getting injuried a little instead as a result to turning his head. It was bleeding, warm wetness spreading over his skin.

Phillip dis not pursue. He would not be able to catch up. Plus, there was one more thing.

He placed the sword back into its sheath. The now bladeless hand was shaking, obviously unsteady. His entire upper arm was bruised from the previous night and it seemed that the pain, even if he did not show it on his face, was getting to him. That was exavtly why he chose to fall back instead of following.

The brunette headed towards the inn where he was staying, entering and shutting the door behind him tightly, only to ensure everyone else's safety.

"Your majesty! Your ear!" The oldest guard was quick to noticed the blood, obviously getting agitated, going completely pale at the sight.

"Disinfect this for me. Also help me bandage my arm and get me one of the spare capes. This day is going to be interesting."

The aides could do nothing but grit their teeth, speaking simultaneously. "Yes your majesty!"

He was already set on giving the beast the time of its life during this day. But the first thing Phillip needed was some food and a good hour of rest. This had to not be his last day afterall.

The prince was probably up and running by the time the beast returned to the village but he focused more on tearing up crops half way up the hill and just making a mess. The beast kept clear of the main village for now not wanting to confront the prince. It was still limping and the wound was still bleeding slightly so it didn't want to fight the prince unless it was up to full strength again. Who knows, he didn't manage to kill this one so maybe humans healed pretty quick.

The beast broke its way into a barn and looked at all the live stock. Though, none of the animals seemed scared except for the occasional chicken doing a bit of extra clucking. The creature really didn't like the sun so he jumped into a pen with one of the cows and laid down in some clean hay. It lowered its head onto its paws and soon fell asleep. None of the animals were afraid because the beast never let on that it would kill anything. In fact, it just wanted a dark place to sleep but not in the woods because it would be too easily found there. No one would think the beast could get into the barn let alone sleep in there without the animals putting up a fuss.

Once it was about late noon, the beast woke up and listened to see if it could hear the prince. If not it wanted to nap more. However, thirst was itching at the beast's throat and the best source of water was the river that ran deep in the woods. It didn't really want to be seen though... The beast leaned down and tried to drink milk from the cow but the animal wasn't having it. The beast's fangs were too sharp so it mooed in protest letting the beast know it wasn't working. With an irritated huff, the beast jumped out of the pen and left the barn for the woods.

The beast made sure the prince wasn't around because it just didn't feel like fighting until the sun went down. For now, the creature hurried off towards the woods.

With his injuries finaly treated, the prince did not plan to waste too much time all for nothing. Afterall, why did the beast choose to run away now that it was daylight? The wound did not seem to heal like the previous one. Perhaps... there was some sort of link to the full moon and daylight.

He could not know. So he had to make sure. His entire left arm was now more or less bandaged but he wore a long sleeve shirt to hide the white wraps, a new cape resting upon him shoulders giving him an imposing aura. His ear had been treated as well, now no longer bleeding.

He felt like up until now, given how the beast did not know much of his abilities, they had been more or less on par. But that could easily change now that he could not use his left arm's full strength. So the best way to go about it was to fake it.

What he needed was a plan. With his lips pressed together in annoyance, Phillip did not choose to rest any longer. If he wanted to do something, he had to act now so he went outside, reversing the roles. The brunette was not sure where the creature went, but the destroyed crops did give him a pretty good idea as to where it was before.

Finding the adomination was just a matter of time, and now he had a plan.

As the beast bound for the woods, it paused for a moment and looked over towards the fields. The prince was in there searching for it. They were only a few paces apart but the neither could see each other. That was where the beast had the upper hand. It could hear and smell the prince and know exactly where he was while the prince could not. Sure the beast wasn't completely silent as it ran but at least now it could creep quietly past while the prince had to try and listen over the sound of his own feet crunching over the fallen crops.

Getting a safe distance wasn't all that hard and the beast quickly started to run up the rest of the hill. Sure, it was completely exposed in this way but at the same time, the beast was much farther ahead and faster than Phillip. It quickly vanished into the woods and made its way to the river for a nice drink. The beast finally made it and drank quite a bit before beginning to stroll around some more about the woods.

It wasn't long before the beast found the hut in the woods where Hikyuu called home. The beast clawed at the ground and started pacing clearly disturbed by the structure. It couldn't seem to get within 20 feet of the building. The beast huffed and growled completely uneasy as it took a good long look at the building with each pace but still couldn't bring itself to take another step closer.

Clawing at the ground once more, the beast turned and walked away heading for the village again. The sun was still a couple hours from setting but the prince was probably growing tired of his search for the creature.

Phillip was focused on the crops, frowning when he heard a noise which caused him to turn. It was fairly quick but he managed to spot his prey running away. No matter if it wanted to avoid him or if it just tried to lure him somewhere, the prince was quick to pursue, at least quick enough for a human.

It was not long however until he had lost the abomination out of his sight completely, the woods obstructing his vision. But at this point, he was too irritated to simply walk hinself to the village without even trying to play a blind game of hide and seek through the woods, in an attempt to spot the creature once more.

The attempt proved to be futile only minutes later however, and he could not help but resign in his heart for time being and head back towards the village. It was in those circumstances that he came upon a faorlg small cabin. Surprisingly, there were claw marks on the soil, all a good distance away from the structure and looking rather fresh. His curiosity got piqued.

Phillip knocked on the house's door, simply curious as to wether someone lived there or not and why it was not thorn up by the beast. "Excuse me.It is alright to open the door, I shall protect you. Is anyone home?"

There was absolutely no answer. "Excuse me!" he tried yet again, being greeted by silence. Perhaps... here had been another victim they had not know about? Or perhaps no one lived there? There way too many questions.

As the door to the hut was farther tested, the banging made the old door creek open. It hadn't been locked and didn't even shut properly. The hut was extremely worn out and old, never really being taken care of. Within the dust of the floor, there were foot prints, quite a few showing someone entering and exiting fairly often. However, the footsteps stayed within one path, never touching any of the grey-toned furniture that was tore up and a mess.

One of the larger couches had scratch marks and bites as if a small animal had attacked it. Perhaps a cat. However, the amount of dust would suggest it was ripped many years ago. There was another couch a bit farther in that had little dust on the cushions. It was less damaged as well but had a good scratch across the side. The footprints were around there a lot as well. On the couch sat a pile of neatly folded clothes, Hikyuu's clothes, his sword still hidden and stuck between the cushions. That was as far as the footsteps went but there was a sickly smell coming from somewhere within the house.

The prince could have left but going a bit farther and he'd discover a door that lead down stairs into the basement. It would take some effort to open the door but once it was pried open, this wave of death would just come up and fill Phillip's nose. The basement was dark, no light could get to it as it was under ground. There was no lamp, no source of light what-so-ever for the prince to use. Only the smell of death and rotting flesh could be smelled raising from the darkness.

[/hr]

The beast returned to the village in search for the prince. His scent was already all over but he didn't seem to be anywhere. The creature circled for a long time, even climbed onto a building to get a better view but he didn't seem to be in the village. Maybe he had given up? No, something was screaming to go home.

The creature took off for the woods once more.

As the door opened, the prince found worry washing over him. He entered the house, no longer making noise. The air was truly... heavy. There was a certain unsettling smell filling the room, along with the dust. It both looked like no one had been there in ages and like someone regularly entered and left, using the very same route everytime.

Phillip followed the same route up to a certain extent, his eyes scanning the surroundings. It was the pile of neatly placed clothes that really made his skin crawl. There was no dust set on the clothes, they were not like the rest of the room. They... were certainly placed there recently, perhaps a day or so ago.

With his guard raised up, the brunette did not leave but went in further. Something about this place gave him a really bad feeling and it felt like there was something to be discovered. It was then that he noticed the door. It was stuck so Phillip did have some difficulty to open it, especially given the fact that he could not use his left's full strength.

A putrid smell of rotting flesh and blood assaulted his nostrils as soon as the door was pulled open, making him instantly nauseous. What... was hidden there? The prince frowned deeply, covering his nose and mouth with a corner of his cape. He did not proceed any further. It was clear that the stairs were leading down, perhaps to a basement, but it was too dark. There was no lightsource that could be used, therefore he did not venture in.

Instead he slammed the door shut once more, carefully making his way back. The night was about to come and staying here seemed to be a bad idea. A very bad one. He would inspect the place the following day and find out who exactly live there. He carefully made his way out of the strange place.

When Phillip exited the building, there, still keeping a 20 foot radius, was the beast. It snarled loudly and clawed at the ground some more. It was completely livid to find the prince snooping in the house. The sun was only an hour or two from setting and the beast would gain its strength from the moon once again. The wound was still on its shoulder but the creature was walking better and it was no longer bleeding. Though, that could have been from it being focused on the intruder.

The beast let out a terrible roar and jumped up and down slightly, clawing up the dirt more and more. The creature still couldn't bring itself to step closer. The barrier that kept the beast away was the strongest one anyone could make... its past. The anger continued to flare as the beast struggled with itself to go closer. It slammed its tail against the ground making a loud whip sound and even leaving a perfect dent in the soft dirt.

Clearly, the creature was attempting to get the prince to move far enough away from the hut that it could tear him apart. How dare he enter that home. How dare he snoop!! The beast never entered a human's home and here this one was entering his even though the beast couldn't go there himself... not in this form.

Ha? As soon as the brunette exited the building, he was greeted by the sight of the abomination. It seemed to be truly enraged, clawing at the ground once more. He was right. The marks on the ground had been proof of the beast paying the house a visit, the new claw marks matching the already existent ones perfectly. He froze in the doorstep, looking at the sight on front of him.

Why did it not approach? If it was that enraged... why did it not just attack? It was afraid of the sword? That did not seem to be it. Not at all.

Phillip had never been anything close to stupid. A strange light shone in his eyes. The house was much more mysterious than he initially thought. It was holding secrets. Plenty of them it seemed. It was not that the creature was afraid nor was it unwilling to attack. Instead... it couldn't?

The prince sat down in the doorstep, a smile on his face. "What is it? Cannot reach me? This house is somehow linked to you? How nice of you, showing up to make me decide to check this place tomorrow during daylight. If you want to keep me from discover whatever is here, how about you come here to kill me?" His character was definitely not the best in situations like these, but he knew what he was doing. His suspicion had to be proved.

As the prince sat down, the beast roared again out of anger and continued to bash at the ground, pace around, trying to convince himself to get closer. Still, no matter how angry it got, the more impossible it was to get to the intended goal. The ore the prince taunted, the more the beast put up a fuss. It honestly wasn't long before it started to look more like a little kid throwing a tantrum then it did a vicious beast hunting its prey.

It took several hours for the beast to calm down even a little and eventually it just paced back and forth watching the prince. In time, the beast calmed down enough to stop moving around like a shark. It laid down and just stared, ready to kill the prince should he step away from the safety of the building. The beast had no need for sleep so it was able to wait patiently. Eventually the prince would get too hungry and would have to return to the village. There was no food in that hut and no water so it was only a matter of time.

While it was true that if Phillip should fall asleep there, the beast wouldn't be able to get him but would he be confident enough to test that? What if it was all an act so when the prince did fall asleep to conserve his energy, the beast sneaked up on him and ripped his head off? For now, the creature would just have to wait and hope that the prince walked away before the sun rose. If he wasn't gone a few hours before, the beast would walk away. Even though the creature had no memories of being human, it was just as aware of its transformations as Hikyuu was.

Phillip watched the agitated beast, his eyes growing brighter and brighter at the display he was given. His words were effective, sign that indeed the beast understood human speech. It was simply strange. Yet as expected the creature did not approach him, only throwing a fit until probably tired, left to be circling around without being able to jump at him.

The prince did take his time just to observe, keeping his guard up as much as possible, keeping his eyes on the ground. Yet as time passed, more and more did it look that he was right. There was one way to test it out, despite it being risky but this was something he needed to know.

The brunette leaned on the door frame, putting his sword down next to him. He pulled his knees close to his chest and stretched his arms, feeling actually tired. After chasing the creature like a mad man for so long with minimal sleep, he was exhausted.

"Hey. If you want me come here and try. I am really tired after playing hide and seek the entire day with you, you see? So I will just take a nap here. If you run away, it means that I was right and this place is linked to you. I found clothes inside. They were fresh and neatly placed there. So that person is surely... linked to you as well. I will find out soon enough."

There existed the possibility of the invisible barrier to be a limited thing, but Phillip had decided to risk it all for some clues.

The beast perked up and stared as the prince finally started to really move. Of course, he didn't move in the way the beast expected. Instead of trying to leave, that stupid human felt the need to mock him farther and get even more comfortable and just decided to settle in for a nap. The creature's anger flared again but this time he tried to think things through. If he fled, Phillip would only get more suspicious. Should the beast stay, he would end up transforming right here and be vulnerable. There had to be another way.

Just then, the beast thought of something. Pulling out a major trump card it planned to keep hidden but this was an emergency. Slowly, the creature rose to its feet and stared at the prince before grinning hungrily. If it couldn't have the prince, then a villager would have to do. The beast turned towards the village and ran off. Of course, it only actually ran so it was out of sight and climbed a huge tree and hid within the leaves. There, the beast opened its mouth, raised its head like it was about to howl, and let off this terrible scream that sounded exactly like a woman screaming for her life. Perfect voice mimicry. It was one hell of a trick that was impossible to tell the difference between the beast, or reality.

After about a minute, the beast changed to its growls and anger as if it was killing someone just at the edge of the woods before letting everything go quiet. So prince, what were you going to do now? Go to see the woman or continue to remain within the safety of that terrible hut? The beast waited patiently for the prince hoping he would run by soon so the beast could go and defend the hut should he stupidly attempt to return.

Phillip peeked at the beast from low-lidded eyes, looking as if he truly were about to fall asleep. The strange part however was that the creature seemed to be hesistating. When it darted off towards the village, his suspicions about the place, at least the fact that the adomination could not reach him if he were next to the small house for whatever reason, were confirmed.

A scream that sent shivers down his spine could be heard from the woods, and he did not hesistate, grabbing his sword and equipping it properly. Someone was attacked. It seemed that the beast, in its rage had changed its target, and it did not make Phillip any happier. He grit his teeth and dashed towards the source os noises.

Yet one thing was strange. The previous time when the beast killed someone in front of him, the creature itself had been quiet. Yet now, it growled as if it had lost its minds. The prince, even without growls would have charged in at the sound of a screaming woman... it was as if... As if the abomination had done it on purpose, in the hopes of attracting him.

Phillip held onto a powder bomb in his left, his sword actually in the right side rather than his dominant, hidden by the cape, with his guard up.

The beast watched as the prince fantically sprinted under the tree he was perched in, in an attempt to save a no existent woman from a nonexistent attack. The creature snickered and jumped straight from the branch to the ground, landing gently on his feet. The beast felt over joyed to think it had won and rushed back to the hut keeping his distance but now he could keep the prince away.

It may take a little while for the prince to realize that it was all a trick and finds no one around, but by the time he turns around, the beast is already laying in place. Once he showed up, the creature rose to all fours and smiled evilly at the prince. The beast was only focused on the sword and completely forgot about the powder so when he snapped to make Phillip back off, he would probably get the powder right in his face.

The beast let out a roar and backed up before pausing and shaking it's head from the temporary blindness. It reared back and tried to attack or at least avoid being hurt. Still, when the beast exposed it's injured shoulder, the prince would have plenty opurtunity to re-open and deepen the wound. The beast yelped in pain and tried to grab the prince but he was much slower than usual. Damn.... that powderanged really had an effect.

Phillip looked around, his brows furrowing. There was no corpse or beast for that reason, nor was there any blood. Could it be? As soon as he figured out that most likely he had been indeed lured away from the house, he hurried back, only to find the beast defending the hut with all its might, confident in its ability to keep him away.

Perhaps he himself would have cursed himself for being so naive and fall for such trick, unaware that the abomination had such unsettling ability. The ability to... sound human.

With no hesistation, as the creature rose up, the brunette withdrawed his left arm out of the sheltee of his cape, but not to hold a sword but a small bomb of powder which hit its target. He was injuried himself, true. But unlike the monster, he was not underestimating his opponent at all, actually aware that his life was in danger.

With his right - which was not as stable but equally strong- Phillip stabbed the sword with all his might into the beast's shoulder once more, managing to dodge and fall back before getting seriously hurt, with enough time to withdraw a second powder bomb from his pouch, prepared to use it.

"It's easier for me if you restrict yourself to this place. If you want to protect the hut you have no choice but to stay here afteralla and I have plenty of them left." The prince chuckled, even tho it was all a bluff. With the exception of the one in his hand, he only had 2 others- but the fact that three of them could easily put the beast to sleep still remained. He even had one to spare.

The beast could feel the blood dripping down its leg, the pain was worse than it had ever felt but then.... when you don't feel something for so long, you can't get use to it. This human was far more trouble than any other and was it really alright to keep fighting him in this state? Sure, the prince was injured but had found a way around those injuries and could keep fighting. At this rate, the beast wasn't going to be able to keep up. Phillip had to be tired but those powder bombs were quickly evening the playing field there.

Would another attack work? No... neither of them could make a proper strike but while Phillip's blade merely had to graze the beast to injure him, the creature had to get his jaws around Phillip and bite. That's it.

The beast moved forward carefully and grabbed the sword in his jaws. They were so powerful and this way, the prince couldn't move away or cut the creature. At the same time, the beast was fully open for another powder bomb. The beast then used its injured leg and dug the long claws deep into the downed prince's leg. There, now he couldn't possibly do anything for the next couple days while that healed. Humans can't walk on one leg but the beast could easily walk on three.

Before getting a third bomb in the face, the beast jumped as far back as it could in one forceful leap, releasing the sword at the last second. It managed to go about 10 feet back and the back half of the beast crossed the barrier it set for itself. Clearly the barrier wasn't something physical. Now the beast wanted to run away but stayed put for a minute.

What was the prince going to do? Would he stay there and wait for help, would he try to get to the hut? Or, would he try and return to the village? The beast was panting now for the first time with all of its focus on the prince. Should he decided to try and return to the village, the creature would not attack and let him go. If he stayed put, maybe a nice threat would work but if he tried to the hut, he'd lose his head.

The prince let out a muffled shout of pain as his leg was pierced into, ready to throw the other poweder bomb into the creature's face. Yet it looked like the creature knew what was coming, having human intelligence and chose to let go of the sword, leaping backwards, crossing the "barrier" that it kept refusing to enter before.

It was not phisical? Phillip was bleeding out of his leg, his complexion having turned pale from the pain yet he grit his teeth and did not let any sound get out. The abomination stopped there, just watching.

He had to admit he was at a loss. Earlier, he had no idea that the creature could actually pass and had taken some really huge risks. Yet strangely enough, the beast did not jump on him initially, choosing to trick him rather than that. Why? What was that about the house? And what was that foul smell coming from the basement? It was becoming more and more complicated.

The brunette lowered himself to the ground, sitting down, his complexion not looking any better. The wound was bleeding a lot, enough that he could be passing out from blood loss were it to be elft unattended for too long.

"I am not moving from here." His voice was clear. "If you still have the strength to come at me, go ahead." he moved the sword back to his left arm, pulling out the last two powder bombs with his right. "If you get close i will throw these at you. Just a warning tho. One more should act as an instant tranquilizer. Even if you take me down with you, I will still cut youe head off." Half of it was bluffing but the creature could not know. Those were the last two bombs he had prepared, and due to having missed once, in order to actually work, he would have to aim both of them to the beast's face. That was highly unlikely. Yet again, the monster did not know. That was exactly why he had chosen such route.

On the other hand, not getting medical help would make him lose a lot of blood and ultimatey faint. The monster could wait for that, but again, it might not necessarily happen while the night was still present. Were he to resist until daylight, it would be the prince's win.

Man, this human pissed him off. As the prince sat down and settled in, the beast knew all too well with the injury he created, that the human wouldn't be able to last until Morning. After all, the sun had only set about 2 hours ago so they had a long way to go. The beast knew from experience alone that humans couldn't last very long while bleeding. Maybe Phillip could slow the bleeding but if he didn't stop it right this second, he'd surely pass out, and soon die, if not from blood loss then from the cold.

The creature moved closer just enough to get over his barrier line and laid down, his injured side showing to the prince. Once he passed out, the creature would drag him back to the village if he had to. For now, they were both at a loss. It was no longer fun to try and kill Phillip, so, he didn't. Hopefully the prince wouldn't try anything stupid as well and would just pass out already.

The beast laid its head down no longer staring at the prince and closed its eyes, curling the long tail around to its side. There the beast would rest his body and hope the pain in its shoulder would ease up soon so it could get up and get this wretched human away from his home. Only a minute passed when the beast raised its ears, perking right up, its head lifted and it began to look around as if something was wrong. The beast looked over at the house again and lowered its ears. It seemed even being this close was still too much.

Feeling nervous, the beast rose to its feet and began walking slowly towards the prince but seemed rather withdrawn. It wasn't so worried about the human, after all, it still had enough speed to avoid at least one of those powder bombs. The creature stopped in front of him for a second but then walked around him and dropped to the ground again about 5 feet behind the prince. The beast stared at the house again before looking away for now. It had its back to the enemy but was more concerned with something else.

A few hours passed and the beast looked over to see if the prince was unconscious yet. If not, it would turn away again, but if he was, the creature would force itself onto its feet and pull the prince onto its back and carry him carefully back to the village and leave him out front the inn he was staying at.

Phillip teared up his cape amd wrapped it around his leg like a bandage, wishing to slow down the bleeding at least by a bit in the hopes that he would last until the morning. His eyes did not leave the beast, commiting every small detail about its behavior to memory, trying -and failing- to understand the reason for its strange reactions.

As the hours passed, he realized he was not going to make it. Even as stubborn as the brunette was, he could not overcome his own body's limit. At the very least, he could keep the creature busy, away from the village for as long as he managed to keep his consciousness. His body was growing colder and colder and his complexion turning sickly but he did not give up. Yet he was getting lightheaded.

For the longest time, the prince simply kept looking at the creature. It was hours later when the abomination turned its head towards him that he smiled. "Heh. It looks like it's your win." He was going to die, with the second prince to take over the duty of slaying the creature. He wished he could have at last told him what he already knew. All strength left his body and the world turned black, his cold body losing ballance and falling on the ground, beads of sweat forming on his face as his breathing got heavy. He had passed out.

The cold was not merciful. Even more, he had pretty much lost a small pool of blood which decorated both the improvised bandage and the ground. A human's limits were easily reached.

The beast watched as the prince lost consciousness before hoisting him onto its back and slowly carrying him down to the village. The beast gave off lots of extra heat and was a lot warmer then one would expect. However, that probably had to do with it having thick fur and a faster heart rate. The good thing was that it's heat was being sent directly into the prince now keeping him somewhat warm during their little trip. it would sort of suck if the prince died now. He certainly was a worthy opponent.

The beast placed the human on the ground and knocked on the door of the inn before taking off and disappearing before anyone could see it. Someone walked over and peeked out to see the prince. They panicked and brought the prince in where the doctor was already waiting and brought him up to get medical care. With the sun a few hours out from rising, the beast returned to the woods and went straight for the rivery leaving the villagers for the rest of the night.

The beast went to the river and washed the blood out of its fur but only got out to find its wound hadn't yet healed. It hadn't even stopped bleeding and the beast was pissed. It returned to the tree where it laid down and after another of rested hours, it transformed to human form and woke in more pain then usual. Hikyuu looked at his shoulder, it needed help now. He got up and walked to the hut where he got dressed and found some bandages for his shoulder. This wasn't enough.

The human went down to the village and quickly bought more materials and hid himself where he finished wrapping up and walked out, bandage almost fully covered by his sleeve. If this was what the beast looked like, what was the prince like? Hikyuu went to the inn to find out but no one would even let him near the room.

The disappearance if coldness caused Phillip to try and open his eyes, but his eyelids were too heavy to go all the way. Through his eyelashes he saw fur, he was moving. But actually keeping his eyes open to observe, much less thinking about what was going on was way too much for him in his current condition. His eyelids closed, his consciousness completely fading once more.

When he awoke oncre more, it was the middle of the day. He somehow pried his eyes open. He was alive. The brunette looked around confused, pulling himself to sit up on the bed. He wore nothing but underwear and inside the room were only his two aides, which did not fail to notice Phillip finally opening his eyes.

"Your Majesty! Thank the Heavens!"

"Your Majesty!"

The brunette pulled off the sheets, only to reveal a bandaged leg. It hurt so surely he would be unable to walk properly for a couple of days. The only worrying sign was the constant feeling of being lightheaded. He had lost quite a lot of blood.

"You two. Bring me some clothes, my sword and prepare my horse." The prince's brows were furrowed.

"Your majesty! What are you saying!"

"Shut up and prepare it!"

Both of the guards were startled, no longer able to say anything but do as they were asked.

The brunette's head was full of questions but he knew where to start, even if it meant putting more pressure on his leg and not resting. It was perhaps his only chance to get things figured out.
