This is a great forum! I am amazed at the number of films and series being released this year, especially in China and Thailand.

 

I try to keep up with them in the 'Future Releases' section of my blog page listing Yaoi/BL live action films and series with happy endings and English subtitles:

Definitely add Shi Bu Ke Dang to the list. An upcoming adaptation of Chai Jidan's novel, queen of HE Bl novels. This story is soooo full of crack like you wouldn't believe. :Excited:

It's true BL is blooming in China and Thailand`~~~!! However what happened to Japan??? There are too few or none at all. They don't do web series. It's like their BL world is stopped at standstill or halted!! Like come on! They invented BL! I'm a big fan of Japan... so sad ]:

Japan seems to specialize in long-form Yaio/BL live action formats - anything less than a full movie doesn't seem to capture their interest. I would rate Seven Days and Udagawachou De Mattete Yo/Wait for Me at Udagawachou, both made just last year, as among the finest Yaoi/BL movies ever made.

 

Like you, I'd love to see more live action short films and series from Japan. I cut them some slack because they are pretty much the ultimate source of all the Yaoi/BL manga, anime and live action entertainment that we enjoy today - I think it's safe to say that no other country could have done what they've done Of course, that doesn't mean we can't ask for more!
