Can anyone recommend novels similar to War Prisoner?

I thought I could not find a yaoi novel that topped ai no Kusabi but as much as I love ai no Kusabi I really like War prisoner better. It was dark at times but at the same time it had a happy ending unlike ai no Kusabi. I felt that this book had the perfect balance
