I’ve sat idly by and

watched as you suffered in

silence.

out of the

three years I've known you

two were spent wordlessly

Viewing you on a glorified TV.

 

I did nothing, whilst you spiraled

deeper

and

deeper

into the depths of your own psyche.

But little did i know.

the problem was much deeper.

 

you see

depression is not so black and white.

Some people don’t even know they have it

others,rarely seek help.

You were one of them.

you thought that your pain

your hurt was lesser than

but not to me.

 

Because depression is your curse

But my blessing.

your pain and your suffering gives me

Warmth

Because if it wasn't for your mind boggling affliction

You'd have no need to show Affection

To me

Friendly or otherwise

 

Your deep sighs

and red rimmed eyes

Strained from trying not to cry

Sends shivers

down my spine

Because I know the

Shoulder you'll eventually

Fall to will be

Mine.

And I revel

In your sadness

Thrive in your heartache.
