Finally, a character that's hard to get so that I can have fun making my own character suffer from rejection. And he's the best type to suffer from rejection... teehee. Not a lot is generally known about the youth – at least not publicly. His early childhood memories are extremely vague, though most of what he remember is all but pleasant. Born the child of a young servant girl, he was raised under rather harsh conditions. Some would claim that he at least had a roof above his head and a place to sleep each night, but life was still harsh. Especially after his mother, the only one who'd been offering him any kind of protection, passed away in illness. Anubis was not treated kindly by his master, though found refugee and light comfort in the arms of an elderly maid. As he was a quiet and obedient child, he wasn't very likely to tell anyone if he was mistreated or hurt – something which seemed to happen more and more frequently with each passing week. As he accompanied the old maid to the market one day, the little six year old managed to get lost in the masses. No matter how frantically he searched, Anubis never found his way back to the maid. By the time night fell, the little boy had walked his feet sore and cried his eyes dry. Hungry, tired and cold, the child collapsed in a street corner, believing that this would truly be the end. Yet fate had other plans for him. Eventually a masked figure appeared before him, crouching down as he offered the exhausted child an apple. Then he picked him up and wrapped him in his cloak. After this, the boy disappeared for several years. He was trained as an assassin by a secret order. At the age of eleven, he assassinated his first victim. At the age of sixteen he completed his training, relinquishing his given name for 'Anubis'. It was during his training that he discovered his lost magus. ⚔PERSONALITY⚔ ⚔ Silent but Deadly: Anubis only speaks when spoken to or when something is worth saying. He's well versed in his trade and should not be underestimated. ⚔ Stubborn: Despite his silent nature, Anubis is very stubborn. Particularly when it concerns something he cares for – or a job. ⚔ Loyal: To the point where it could be considered a fault. Of course, only to the people he serves. If he had a partner, he'd most likely be even more loyal to them. ⚔ Dedicated: To complete his missions. ⚔ Humble: Anubis is very modest in nature. He isn't the kind of person to do things because he wants praise or fame, but rather does them because he wants to. Simultaneously, he doesn't take orders or tasks he's given lightly and would never think to question the people he trusts. ⚔ Honest: Anubis doesn't say a lot, but when he does you can be sure it's not a lie. ⚔ Unselfish: He is very thoughtful and always puts the safety of others above his own. He isn't the kind of person to show it or tell you if he's in pain, sad or hurting. ⚔ Philosophic: While he doesn't say a lot, there is a lot going on in his mind. He often takes a philosophic view on thinks. ⚔ Weapon Aficionado: Anubis claims he'll take swords over women (or men) any day. He could go on for hours talking about them. ⚔ Shy: He is very aloof and shy towards girls in general. Though he handles men somewhat better – as soon as they become potential love interests the way he acts around them becomes pretty much the same. ⚔ Gentle and Elegant: Despite Anubis' deadly nature, he's a very gentle person at heart. He acts gracefully, and tends to treat his surroundings with respect. ⚔MAGUS SKILLS⚔ ⚔Weapon Summon⚔ Reveal hidden contents [TABLE=class: grid, width: 260, align: center] [TR] [TD=align: center] The magus summons one of the sister blades of destiny; a pair of almost identical swords. The golden sword is only effective on living flesh, whereas the silvery sword serves well in battles against the dead and inhabitants of the spirit world. Wounds caused by either will not heal by natural means. It should be noted that both swords cannot be summoned at once. Their presence cancel each other out and they become highly ineffective. [/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE] [TABLE=class: grid, width: 260, align: center] [TR][TD=align: center] The magus summons an infinite amount of throwing knives (aka, until he runs out of energy). The blades are poisonous. However, as they dissolve shortly after hitting their target, the target must at least have been hit three times for it to become lethal. The poison is slow and as such, it takes quite a while before going into full effect. Spanning hours – sometimes even days – death by the Infinity Blade slow and painful. Snake like and made out of a shadowy substance, their flexible forms make them excellent spies and battle companions. It should be noted that the user needs to have sufficient amount of energy left for the erebus to maintain its form. [/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE] ⚔Abilities⚔ Reveal hidden contents [TABLE=class: grid, width: 260, align: center] [TR] [TD=align: center] The magus has excellent night vision; the ability to see in low light conditions and even total darkness. Night vision is made possible by a combination of two approaches: sufficient spectral range, and sufficient intensity range. It should be noted that it takes some time for the users eyes to readapt to normal light. Then in particular, but also normally, the user is sensitive to bright flashes. [/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE] [TABLE=class: grid, width: 260, align: center] [TR][TD=align: center] The magus shrouds himself in a veil of shadows, making it next to impossible to detect him. Even sound is contained within the cloak. While under the veil, the user is unable to see colors. This ability can only be used if there is a sufficient amount of shadows nearby. If there aren't any shadows to merge with, the ability becomes useless. As such, it is highly ineffective in bright and open areas. To them, it will just seem like the user is able to teleport or moves extremely quickly. It should be noted that this ability is extremely draining. Overuse will result in severe physical consequences for the magus. It is not recommended to be used more than perhaps once a day, and should be considered a trump card rather than a solid tactic. As he barely have enough money to survive, he resorted to stealing. Everyday, he took things which weren't his back home. It started with money then food and stationaries then it escalated to something more. It can be Treasures, Family heirlooms or Potions, Keith snatched them away without a single hesitation. When fate decided to bite back, it bit on really hard. As he never once feel the guilt of taking things that weren't his, it was his precious sister who felt the guilt and had to force up a smile when Keith brought those things back. Years of building up the guilt, his sister lost her sanity. One day she exploded and was screaming at her brother in gibberish words, Keith witness his sister hanging herself after the commotion ended. Confused and upset, Keith ended up selling the things he stole to give his sister a proper burial. Back to square one, the male spent his days loitering around a back alley. One day, he encountered a group of teenagers around his age, gambling with coins. With nothing to do in life, Keith decided to join them. It is fun winning and Keith got ahead of himself as he is good with cards. He sneaked into the casino, preparing to win a wealth but only to find that he lost almost everything. With only the poker cards within his hand, Keith used the seemingly useless cards to protect himself. Who knew that the cards could slice skins as easily like blades when one were to flung them right at the opponents, Keith was responsible for the bloodshed. Quickly collect his cards after the unintentional murder, the male fled from the scene. It seemed like his valued cards have thin pieces of metal in the middle of each cards. Keeping a low profile, he started training himself with the cards, honing on his self defense as well. Treating the cards like a teacher, he mastered techniques in cheating with poker cards and killing people silently with these deadly stuff. He has yet to find out his ancestor's name. The only thing he knows was that his cards had a surname "S.Alacias" imprinted at the right bottom part of the non-playable side of every poker card. Being a regular in gambling as soon as he reached 15, he learnt that most sneakily gamblers have the surname "Silverdo". He started learning the history of his family and figured out that he possessed one of the magus. If his sister was still alive, Keith thinks that she could be the better one if she were to hold the powers.[/TD] [/TR] [TR] [TD=align: center]Magus Skills Offensive Skills Reveal hidden contents Picture Imprisonment : Holding any picture card, Keith is able to summon either the King, Queen or Jack to assist him in holding one opponent down. Usually used against the highest authoritative person or strongest person. Can only be used when he have his joker card with him. Numbered bombs : Throwing out any numbered cards (from ace to ten), he can create an explosive reaction. It can only be used 40 times every battle per deck. Can only be used for when he have his joker card with him. Support Skills Reveal hidden contents Joker Possession : If he is too weak to fight, one of his joker card will sent out ribbons of energy, wrapping around his limbs and can control him like a puppet. Joker's skills are usually fast agility, good reflexes and it often attack people's pressure points Card Shield : Keith was given the ability to manipulate the cards' sizes to protect himself in life-and-death situations. Before he was able to master it, it will only work when he panics. Abilities Reveal hidden contents Speed Enhancement : Keith was given the ability of have the same speed as the cards when they are being fling. Can only be used when he have his joker card with him.
