Case 01:

Higashi Chaya Gai Operation

 

 

 

The Geisha community has been long abolished but an underground group simply called X have decided to reinvent and relieve the district's vibrancy. And so to say, the perfect location to revive the Geisha era is in Kanazawa. The Higashi Chaya District is the biggest of the four chaya (Geisha) districts in Kanazawa. The X group had made the city's tourism overwhelmingy successful that it had became another legal business in the country. It seems a yet another unsuspecting cultural revival but that was just the facade of it all. As unquestioning as it may seem, the geisha houses offers a "freebie" on whoever avails their special X promo. A single pill that will change their experience and will definitely add bliss during their stay in the chaya.

 

 

The Pill-X

 

A plain white pill with an X mark on either side. It's so small you'd think it's harmless once taken. But Pill X is what its inventors say a 'revolutionary drug' ever made in history. The certain drug plays a big role in the sex industry in Japan. Sure, people can just use rohypnol or MDMA for the enhancement of sexual pleasure. But Pill-X can outmatch the benefits given by the said drugs. It has a much higher psychoactive effects of creates euphoria, hallucinations and enhanced sensation, specifically the sexual senses. It could be like any other sex drugs but Pill-X, much to the developer's surprise have a very high toxic side-effect. After a few hours of bliss and euphoria, the user will experience blurred vision that leads to temporary loss of sight but doesn't have a reassurance of ever returning to normal, loss of appetite then afterwards, coughing up blood and then a high probability of death.

 

The Kanazawa Intelligence Department was called forth to investigate the said drug trade in the hearth of the Geisha district, bust the illegal drug operations and to stop putting the entertainer's and other people's life from sure death.

Work Background:

Hajime was once in the police force but then he got injured by a gunshot on his left arm leaving it to have a very limited movement. Having such injury, he decided to join the investigative force instead so he could still be of service.

 

Personal Background:

Hajime lives in an apartment on his own where the company had leased to him with a lower interest. The place isn't much but he had learned to like it. He had a sister but died because of an accident. The forensics showed otherwise that it wasn't an accident at all and she was poisoned. Now Hajime promised himself to find those who killed her sister and make them pay for what they've done.

Past: Rei was a bright young student, always at the top of his class. He had a keen interest in computers and wanted to work in an IT firm. However, his dreams were shattered because of a paper leak. It was his last semester and he had just one exam left. It was the toughest one too but Rei was really smart so he wasn't stressing out too much. However the damn paper got leaked a few hours before the exam and the person who leaked it made sure to lead all traces pointing towards Rei.

 

Rei was banned from giving his exam and got expelled. He was furious but he couldn't prove his innocence. He was frustrated and decided to put his computer skills to use. That is why he decided to join the investigative force.

 

Personal Background: Rei was an orphan and had no idea who were his parents nor what his roots were. He grew up in an orphanage and showed a keen interest in computers at a very young age. His mentor, guide and father figure noticed it and encouraged him. Thus, he studied hard and wanted to be one of the best computer engineers around. When his dreams were shattered, he put his heard and soul in his work and even though he was a junior, he was dedicated and a very hard worker.
