Name: Nori Nishimura

Age: 18

Position: Uke

Favorite Saying: Fear the Name: Nori Nishimura you mere mortals! The God of Death has come.

Criminal Record:Four accounts of assault, two accounts of aiding & abetting, six accounts of theft, one account of arson, two accounts of extortion, six accounts of drug possession, and one account of attempt at murder

“It’ll be easy!” Glancing out the side of his eyes at the man who had talked, Nori’s main focus stayed on the little Mario jumping over a mushroom on the television as he listened to the other talk. “A real easy score; break in, crack the safe, get the money and that’s it! What do ya say, you in?” Clicking away fiercely at the X button, trying to make Mario jump into the green tunnel, Nori shrugged his shoulders – the fact that the job sounded so easy really meant it would be unnecessarily hard.

Making Mario jump over the fire balls getting thrown his way, Nori absentmindedly questioned Ayumu on the so called “easy score”;

“So? Where are we hitting?”

The teen was too focused on the game to see the evil smirk spread across the male’s face. “We? Meaning you’re going to help?”

“Whatever, sure, fine…” Ayumu’s smirked widened, his hands rubbing together the way all people planning something evil did.

“We're going to hit the Mizuho Financial Group.” Whipping his head around to stare at the other in shock, Nori missed avoiding one of the fire balls that was getting throw Mario’s way; the words Game Over flashing across the screen as Nori stared widely at Ayumu.

Name: Athan Lanine, known by the police as the phoenix since the only clues he has left at any crime scenes were calling cards that looked like a drawing of a phoenix

Age: 19

Position: Seke

Criminal record: Three accounts of drug possession, five accounts of fraud, two accounts of theft, four accounts of arson, two accounts of murder.

"Sir, your credit card doesn't seem to have sufficient funds for this purchase... Do you have cash or...?" The cashier trailed off as his eyes met Athan's cold gaze.

The young man looked down at his purchase with an annoyed sigh. He had thought that he would still have enough money from the last time he had 'obtained funding.' But apparently it had been longer than he thought. He really wanted the new jacket, he wondered if they would be out of stock tomorrow.

He was brought out of his thoughts by the cashier clearing his throat and glancing meaningfully at the long line.

"I'll come back later" Athan muttered, quickly leaving the store.

He went through a mental list of places that wouldn't take too much preparation to get into. He always had a bunch of places that he could rob at anytime, just in case this happened. His gaze wandered up to the headquarters of the Mizuho Financial Group's headquarters.

"They'll do..." Athan said to himself, turning back to head to his apartment to get ready for that night.

“The Mizuho Financial Group...? You want to rob one of the three largest financial institutions in Japan?”

Ayumu simply smiled at the teen that had finally decided to give him full attention. “Name brand places like that only rely on their name for protection. The security is crap, and the guards aren’t even allowed to carry guns – it’s a joke.” Nori looked skeptically at the other…that didn’t sound right. Wasn’t it the name brand places that could afford high security the places with the cameras everywhere and armed guards at every corner?

Though Ayumu looked so sure of himself… Ayumu’s confidence making Nori’s doubt dwindle.

Grumbling to himself about how this was probably going to be a mistake, Nori turned back to the TV, his silence letting Aymu know he was going to do it. Picking up the controller, Nori scrolled to the Replay option and ignored the other as he got up to leave.

“See you tonight, kid!” The resounding slam of his apartment door was the only thing left of Ayumu as Nori clicked hurriedly away at his controller. Well, even if something happens and I have to leave Ayumu to die – tonight should be fun.

Athan soon got back to his apartment. He spent the afternoon preparing for the break in. He had already scoped out the place, but he had to make sure they hadn't updated their security. Fortunately they relied mostly on intimidation as well as the security on the first floor. If he could get past that then there was almost nothing on the upper floors.

The young criminal mapped out a few routes. All of his plans had backups and escapes in case something went wrong. He didn't take any chances.

A little after ten midnight he left his apartment. He was wearing all black clothes that were easy to move in. He had on thin gloves to stop himself from leaving any finger prints and had a black face mask that covered his mouth and nose. He pulled up his hood and headed to the building, keeping to back streets so he wasn't noticed.

Soon he found himself looking up at the tall building. He didn't waste any time before circling around to the back entrance. Athan didn't want to risk the first floor security, so he immediately began to climb up the side of the building. There were decorative carvings on the walls that made it easy to climb, and soon he was at the second floor window.

It only took him a couple minutes to pick the lock and slip inside.

“What do you mean you left the rope behind?!” Glaring at Nori, Ayumu ripped the backpack the other was wearing from off his shoulders and looked through it. The only thing his frantic search turning up can after can of spray-paint, the different color cans seeming to be the only thing inside the bag.

“The only thing I asked you to bring was rope and you couldn’t even do that?! What the hell is with all this spray-paint anyway?” Nori stared blankly at the other, his blank face saying the other was dumb for not already knowing what the paint was for.

“Tagging,” being Nori’s simply reply. Ayumu looked at the other wearily; already knowing that if he tried to argue the other anymore about the paint he would lose. Sighing Ayumu looked up at the tall building before them – his perfect plan of scaling the building now gone with the other’s fetish for paint.

“Fine,” Changing the subject, Ayumu looked expectantly at the other. “How are we supposed to get in now?” Taking his bag back from the other, Nori smiled – walking to the glass doors that stood proudly at the front of the building, Nori looked back at the Ayumu, a wicked smile on his face.

“Since we’re visitors it should be fine to use the front door, right?” Before Ayumu could stop the other, Nori had already raised his elbow and slammed in into the glass door - repeating the action until in broke under his steady hits.

Athan flattened to the floor as he heard a sound from downstairs. He waited for a moment before pulling out his phone. He had set up the device to be able to see the security camera footage and quickly brought up the images from the downstairs cameras.

He almost burst out laughing at the sight of two men stepping in through the broken glass. The few security guards downstairs clearly hadn't been alerted yet. The two idiots would be a perfect distraction while Athan grabbed the money.

He tucked his phone away and silently moved through the rooms. He soon found the safe tucked away in the main office. He sat down and set to work cracking the safe. He glanced up every couple of minutes to make sure that no one was coming, but otherwise was completely focused on his work.

“What the hell are you doing?!” Ayumu could barely keep his heatedly spoken words as just a whisper, hands doing most of the shouting as he waved them franticly at the broken door.

“Getting us in.” Nori stated calmly, the grin on his face betraying his outer calm. What was crime without a little risk after all? Nori loved making the job’s as exciting as possible and what was more exciting then walking right through the front door not knowing if a guard would catch them or not.

“In what world does robbery equal busting the window and entering through the front door?!” Letting the irony of his own words sink in, Nori stuck his hand through the gaping hole he had created and twisted the knob – his heart beating wildly as he encountered their first problem: motion sensor or not?

Athan jumped at the sound of alarms going off downstairs. For a split second he thought that he had somehow missed an alarm system on the safe. But he soon realized it was coming from somewhere else. He pulled out his phone and checked the security cameras again.

"Don't they have any kind of plan?" He murmured at the sight of the young man. He briefly wondered if they were druggies or drunks. But he just shrugged it off, it didn't really matter to him anyway.

He opened the safe while keeping an eye on the security footage. The guards were going after the two men, and Athan didn't want them to lead any security right to him.

He removed all the money from the safe, neatly packing it in his bag and covering it with a couple tourist guide books and random papers.

Athan made sure that he hadn't forgotten anything that belonged to him before pulling out a business card with his symbol on it and slipping it into the safe. He took a moment to lock the safe, just as an extra insult to whoever opened it.

Nori let out a snigger at the sound of alarms going off, the sound of footsteps handing their way only making the teen happier – he knew tonight would be fun. If they got out alive he would have to thank Ayumu for the fu–

Damnitt! We have to go, Nori! Now!” The sound of Ayumu’s shout was followed by the older male grapping his arm and dragging the teen away just as the first glow of flashlights shined their way – heavy cries for them to stop following the yellow glow.

Nori let out a carefree laugh, throwing his head back as his crazed laughter grew louder, the way Ayumu dragged him along the side of the building down towards the back entrance of the Mizuho Financial Group doing nothing to quill Nori’s mad laughter.

Two unseen flashlight wielding guards hot on their tail as the two grew closer to the back of the building.

Athan stepped out of the safe room. He made sure that his mask and hood were covering his face all the way. He checked the security camera footage again to see the two young men running from the guards. He thought for a moment before pressing the intercom button on the desk.

The speakers throughout the building crackled into life. Athan's voice was muffled by his mask and completely unrecognizable.

"I would like to congratulate the two young men who made it all the way to the front door before being discovered. You're almost as graceful as a pair of drunk bears. Unfortunately for you, the main safe has already been emptied. So if you're still after some cash you should just try to steal the security's wallets, something that simple doesn't require as much planning."

He took his finger off the button. Athan couldn't resist mocking less talented criminals, even if it meant putting himself in more danger. He slipped out the window again and began to carefully climb back down to the ground.

Cursing angrily at the news – Ayumu threw insult after insult over his shoulder at Nori: “foolish brat”, “dumb fucking idiot”, “useless kid” though his berating seemed to do little to Nori’s enjoyment. Running freely with the frigid night air blowing across his skin, and guards in hot pursuit of them was enough for Nori – stealing was only half the fun anyway – the other half lied in the getaway.

Though the message over the intercom seemed to be taking care of that part of their trip too – the sound of the guards following them coming to a halt as they seemed to notice they were chasing the wrong individuals.

Laughing even more Nori couldn’t help finding himself wanting to thank the person who insulted them; Mr. Intercom bringing the attention on himself was making it easier for them to get away. Hearing the guards turn away, Nori wanted to turn around and take a look at the fools, but as he turned to look behind them the sight of someone climbing down the bank’s wall caught Nori’s attention better than some stupid guards.

Athan frowned when he noticed the two guys from the security cameras. He climbed down about another foot before letting go and dropping for the last three feet. He examined them through the window for a moment before turning away and quickly started walking back out towards the busy streets. He made a slight gesture for the other two thieves to follow him.

He knew that as soon as he was in the crowd there would be no way that he could be found again. It was already too late for the security to find him, but if the two strangers made a fuss or tried to chase him for the money then he might be in trouble. They could draw attention and get him caught.

Athan figured that the best plan would be to trick them into thinking that he had some kind of intention of working with them, or at least talking to them, before slipping away. He kept walking towards the main street, assuming that the others would be following.

Mr. Intercom or an angry Ayumu? As Noir watched the masked assailant slip through the crowd – the teen’s want to follow the other grew the farther into the crowd the masked person drifted. The promise of mysterious fun to be had and the gain of another criminal friend beside Ayumu were things the teen didn’t even want to think about passing up.

Acting on the slight chance that the other wasn’t some crazed mass murder, Nori ripped his arm out of Ayumu’s hand and took off towards the main street – knowing that the deeper into the crowd the other went the easier it would be for them to disappear.

The slight hop Nori added to his step making it seem like the teen was skipping merrily through the crowd; his eyes scanning the crowd for a person in a mask as he lazily pranced through the street. Nori’s happy yell of: Wait for me, Mr. Intercom. Only coming in second to Ayumu’s furious shouts for the other to come back and the heavy sound Ayumu’s boots made as he chased after the other – both heading deep into the prong of people littering the street, one in search of the masked assailant who had beat them to their prize and the other just going along for the ride.

Athan pulled his mask off as soon as he was in the crowd, having his face covered only made him stand out among everyone else. He also slipped off his gloves and stuck them in his pocket and unzipped his hoodie to reveal a perfectly normal looking t-shirt underneath.

All in all, he looked like an average teenager who was out past his curfew. He glanced over his shoulder and noticed the boy from before moving through the crowd. Athan considered his options for a moment before pulling his hood off and slipping down a side street.

If the stranger could still recognize him then it could be dangerous to have him wandering around, if he couldn't 'then Athan would be home free. He didn't really care about the strange young man, he had no interest in teaming up with other criminals since they could just get in the way.

Nori was sure looking for someone that was wearing a mask should be easier than this – person after person he checked each of them, but the only thing he saw were different faces. Nori thought about giving up the chase after tugging on the arm of someone he was sure was the masked robber based on the hoodie the male was wearing; Nori’s mistake ending with the teen almost getting punched in his face– the only thing saving him from the stranger’s anger his flexibly which Ayumu claimed was the only good thing about him.

In fact, it was when he was weaving backwards trying to avoid then man’s sloppy punch that Nori caught a glimpse of someone else wearing a hoodie walking down a side street– his whole demeanor screaming he didn’t want people to notice him.

Giving a sloppy bow to the one who helped him find his prey, Nori threw quick words of gratitude to the one who was just about to punch him before hurrying after the other.

Heh, heh! And the chase continues; Nori Nishimura is coming right at ‘cha♪

Athan sighed softly when he heard footsteps in the alley. His hand slipped into his pocket to fondle the handle of his knife. After a brief moment of thought he slipped his thin gloves back on. If he had to kill this person then he wouldn't want to be found.

When they were a good distance away from the busy street, he stopped walking and slowly turned to the stranger. His expression was blank and almost bored. "What do you want?" he asked, lightly brushing his hair out of his eyes.

He had heard of criminals working together and briefly wondered if this man wanted this kind of thing. Athan himself wasn't too interested, but it could end up being somewhat fun.

What did he want? Nori blinked the question completely puzzling him. The teen hadn’t thought anymore about chasing the other then having fun with the relentless chase. He hadn’t even really cared if he caught the other. He just thought trying would be fun, which was why having the other ask him what he wanted confused the teen – Nori had already gotten what he wanted: something fun to pass the time. Passing time interestingly was the driving force behind everything Nori did – chasing the bored male in front of him just another pastime

Scratching the back of his head absentmindedly Nori gave the other the only reason he could think of for following him so far;

“You were the one who started it, weren’t you, Mr. Intercom? If you don’t want me to come, you shouldn’t have told me to follow.”

"You wouldn't have come if you didn't want something" Athan said simply. He pushed his hair out of his eyes to get a better look at the other. "I hope that you don't have any plans to try to reveal my identity to the police... Killing you would be such an annoyance" he pulled his knife out, tilting it so the blade shone in the light.

He was completely serious, if this boy had any intention of going to the police then Athan wouldn't hesitate to kill him. He didn't enjoy killing people, but it didn't really bother him. Sometimes it was just necessary.

Nori pondered the other’s words, the knife held by Mr. Intercom being completely ignored as a laugh pushed through the teen’s lips, his mind registering what the other said;

“You know, I was trying to rob that place too. If I turned you in that would be like indirectly turning myself in. Ayumu calls me dumb all the time, but I’m not stupid. Well, at least not enough to walk into a police station.” Letting a smile form on his face, Nori walked farther into the alleyway – his eyes twinkling in mirth as he neared the other;

“But if you really wanna know what I want,” looping his hands behind his head in a carefree manor Nori kept walking till the knife’s blade was touching his chest. “I’ll tell you, but you have to promise to help me get it

Athan put his knife away as he realized that he had no reason to kill the stranger. He lightly pushed at the man's chest to get him to back off, he didn't like being this close to people.

"I'll only help you if I get something out of it, I have no reason to go out of my way for someone else's sake" he said bluntly. "And unless it involves me I really don't care what you want"

He really didn't get this guy, wouldn't it make sense to threaten to expose his identity unless he shared the money? Athan quickly tried to push the confusion out of his mind, that wasn't important right now.

Nori’s smile only seemed to grow wider – the aversion the other showed to Nori’s invasion of his space making the teen laugh a little, someone’s a little touchy. It was something Nori would have to bookmark if they would be working together in the future – no impromptu hugs unless I want Mr. Intercom to show me what he can do with his knife. Though…a part of Nori wouldn’t mind seeing how good the other was with a blade…

Ugh, stuffing his thoughts aside Nori went on with telling the other his answer;

“What I want involves everyone in the whole world!” To emphasize his words Nori spread his arms and spun around, eyes closing as he made his little circle; without pausing for a second in his twirl the teen spoke again, his voice coming out breathlessly;

“I want fun! Fun without reason or restraint; fun in the face of danger – the type that paralyzes you to your very bones, the only thing keeping you moving the adrenaline pumping through your veins! That’s what I want. And I need your help to get it because there’s only one person I know who can give me that feeling.” Coming to a sudden stop Nori took a deep breath trying to make his dizziness subside, his hands rising to his forehead – calming circles being rubbed into his temple.

“And sadly,” the pounding in his head subsiding enough for him to look up at the other, Nori flashed a sheepish smile. “That person is in jail.”

"so you want me to be your playmate until your little friend gets out of jail?" Athan's voice was extremely condescending. He watched the stranger like someone might watch a particularly annoying child. He didn't know why this person was telling him all this. He really didn't have any reason to get involved in this.

"Look kid, I don't have any reason to play some stupid game with you that could put me in jail. You look like too much of an idiot to stick around" his tone was cold and blunt. To be honest Athan didn't have anything better to do with his time, but it seemed to risky to spend time with someone like this. Plus, the boy seemed like he might get annoying pretty quickly.

“I have a reason,” still bent over, hands resting on his forehead, sheepish smile growing into more of a smirk – Nori matched the other’s condescending tone with one of complete innocence;

“I’ve seen your face, and received a death threat from you, Mr. Intercom. And while I’m conscious of the police, you seem to be even more so – almost like no matter what you don’t want the police to know where you are.” Finally being able to stand up straight, now staring down the other at his full height – Nori’s gentle, innocent tone didn’t change in the least as he continued to speak. “Then there’s also the fact that you’ve put your weapon away and I’ve always been a fast runner.”

Athan clenched his hands into fists, cursing himself for letting his guard down so easily. "Fine" he snapped. "But what the hell do you expect me to do to entertain you? I'm not the least bit interesting, I just steal shit when I need it. I don't even have anyone entertaining to introduce you to."

He crossed his arms over his chest and tapped his foot impatiently. He didn't want to put forth the effort it would take to kill this boy, but the idea of keeping him entertained was still completely unappealing. Athan decided that he'd just kill him when it was less difficult.

“You’re entertaining enough,” Nori practically purred, the more angry the other got the more Nori’s mood seemed to rise – it was like winding up a jack in the box, waiting and waiting for it to pop.

“Plus, what I need from you is the fact that you can steal. I’m not the best at thieving, which you probably already saw, Mr. Intercom… I’m more into the fun of being a criminal not the art. Which makes you perfect!” Walking closer to the other, his steps slow and deliberate, Nori leaned in so he was speaking right into the other’s ear;

“So –” making sure his breath blew across the other’s ear, Nori crackled madly in his head wondering how the other would react to his sudden closeness. “– won’t you become my thief?”
