Points of interest:

Damian has been working as a private detective for several years now and is renown in his branch. Usually called in when the police forces are at their wit's end, Damian does often take on normal inquiries from civilians. At the moment he's currently hunting down a person who has been ruthlessly murdering in his neighborhood. Plagued by nightmares for several months now, from which Damian awakes drenched in sweat after having been forced to helplessly watch his own death, he's grown weary of life as such. Dedicated totally to his job, Damian has few good friends and of late, he's found himself thinking more and more often to the guardian angel who saved him years ago when he once willingly plunged to his death, but who has deserted him ever since...

Myron had been wondering the earth for a long time solving cases filling his time - Trying to get over the loss of his mate. . Trying to clean up any messes before the human detectives arrive to discover their species. It was a tough mission to do but he would do his best to see to those that have gone missing return to their families. He knows it's not always possible. Despite having a monster of a reputation. Being anti-social, the grim reaper. Other times he's following his new found interest in what he thought was his reincarnation lover.

Dammed if he did stay away too tired to not give in to the hope. His friends that he talks to say's he's mad that there's no such thing as reincarnations but he belives

this Damian is the key to open his heart again and move on from the past. He had been suffering an injury since the accident occurred to Damian. He had a bad limb in his leg.

Damian smiled at the young couple as they embraced, the woman crying as she clutched the broach that her mother-in-law had tried to sell to cause the dispute between the young couple. “As you’d suspected, your mother-in-law took it to the shabbiest and least trusted pawn broker in town,” he explained as the young man pulled out his cheque book to sign him a nice fat sum. “Once I had checked the man out, it wasn’t difficult to get him to hand the broach over to me at no expense whatsoever.” Except for the attempted knife stab in his side, which had thankfully missed him, albeit skimmed his skin…not that Damian was about to tell these nice people about it. Smiling as he shook hands with the couple, trying not to blush at the effusive words of gratitude and well-wishing from the woman, he closed the door on his customers and picking up the cheque, waved it triumphantly. It hadn’t been a difficult case, but it had been a welcomed intermezzo to the murder series he was currently working on by night.

Night time. Damian sighed as he crossed to the window and lowered the shutters. That night he would be out on the street on the lookout for that murderer, so it was thankfully a night where he wouldn’t be cursed to lying in his bed, tossing and turning as he tried to fight off sleep that, of late, brought him nightmares. But on the other hand, Damian couldn’t shake off the feeling that when he was out on the streets at night, he was being watched. It wasn’t a completely unnatural sensation- an occupational hazard, one would say: Damian had enough lags out there on the streets who would have loved to have got back at him for having put them into the pen. Maybe it was one of the usual suspects or, and this seemed likelier, the murderer he was currently after, had already realized that Damian was after him and ad turned the game around, instead deciding to stalk him.

Damian shuddered. But not for the reason most people would feel: he wasn’t afraid of encountering the murderer. If worst came to worst, he was pretty confident that he could out-shoot the other man in self-defense. The problem was, of late…well, let’s just say that Damian had one or two moments when, while he’d been in peril, he’d acted dumb on purpose to…increase the chances of his not surviving. He purposefully turned away from the window. No, those were dark thoughts he was thinking and he wouldn’t allow for them to cloud his judgment that night. He had a mission and, at least until this mission was over, he would see it through to the end.

Myron wasn't far from Damian's current location, blending into the shadows. Green eyes absorbing, scanning years of practice to become the shadow it's self. Making no sound a professional killer. This guy he was following was annoying him tremendously. The game plan was something he adapted to quite quickly but now the human was involved it was harder. He was old and weary of the years on him. He had no doubt that he was dealing with someone that didn't want to get caught, which made them harder to find. Not the cocky type who loose their cool and intelligence. Which

made them easier to catch.

Myron limped in the shadow he could feel Damian's equal to his own weariness made him smile in a weird way. He breathed in the evening air for the first time in years he was going to contact Damian. 'I didn't save your life so you could throw it away and do something stupid like getting killed' The voice in Damian's head teased slightly. 'Why not sleep and let the big boy's handle it?' He sounded tired. He couldn't keep that from Damian. His true self. Surely Damian felt the darkest side of him.

Not bothering to hide anymore Myron stood in the view of the moonlight casting a shadow. It was something majestic. The raven haired passed Damian's window. He sat on the brick wall let out a soft groan his leg hadn't been the same again. It had bad infections since the accident.

Damian had his back to the window inside his study when a voice he knew wasn’t his sounded inside his head. Freezing up in midstride, Damian whirled around, startled. Was someone inside his office? But a quick inspection showed that he was alone…except for a shadow that had fallen partly through the window, blocking out part of the moon. His heart thumping faster, Damian reached for the Glock he kept by his side and hurried to the window, careful not to step directly in front of the window and thus stupidly making himself an easy target. Carefully reaching out to push down one of the shutters, Damian held his breath.

Sure enough, the shadow that had fallen into his office belonged to a man. The voice he’d heard inside his head had been weary, as if the man had seen a lot- too much, perhaps. In that respect, he and Damian had something in common. But then that sentence about “letting the big guys” handle the situation just irked him. He’d been a detective for years and had successfully solved almost every one of his cases. This one would be no exception- who the hell was he even talking to? Damian wondered in disgust, wrinkling up his nose. Ducking slightly to spy better, Damian’s eyes widened.

Yes, there really was a man sitting on the brick wall on the edge of the apartment house opposite his office. A man- tall, by the looks of it- with dark hair. He had an athletic build and there was something about him- an aura? Something that drew Damian to him, something…that felt…familiar? Safe? He shook his head. No, that couldn’t be. How could someone, a stranger he’d never met before, cause such an emotion? And what was a normal guy doing at a time like that, sitting on top of a building and staring into his office? Certainly not someone with a white vest. Damian’s eyes widened- was that perhaps the murderer himself? Come to spy on him, turn the game around? Anger suddenly began to course through Damian’s veins and, gripping onto his Glock tighter, turned and ran out his office, prepared to face the man head on and question him.

Myron stood on the wall he was currently sitting on, he could feel the breeze brushing against his hair. It was a soft as a females hand. It brushed against his cheek spending more time with Damian allowed him to think he was more certain to believe that Damian was his, not now but along time ago before Damian tried to protect Myron. It was Myron that was meant to protect him, not the other way round. - The guilt never left him, Damian might not remember but it haunted his short comings, every day when he was asleep. He couldn't stand the thought seeing them beautiful

eyes glowing with disapproval of his failure.

He frowned mentally, waves of sadness of his aura. Not that he realised he was vulnerable, mourning over the loss of his mate. 'I'm no killer if I wanted to kill you I'd kill you the moment I got the chance' he mentally hissed. Myron stared directly at the boy without warning, he seemed to disappear.

He dematerialized as most Vampires were capable of doing. And stared directly into Damian's eyes within the room he was in. "What do you think you were going to do with that weapon" He raised an eyebrow. "I told you a warning not to perused this restless mission, give up. It is my mission alone" He was being a boy at this point. Not that he would of admit it. But he didn't want Damian hurt. Not again.

Damian flung the door to the apartment house his office was in, the cool night air hitting his face. It was chillier than he had believed, yet even as he raised his eyes to the ceiling of the building opposite him, to his amazement and horror, the man disappeared. Damian skidded to a halt, startled: one moment the man was there, in the next he wasn’t anymore. And once again, that disembodied voice returned inside his head, warning him against taking any action. Stumped, Damian remained inside the street, turning this way and that, craning his neck to stare up at the opposite building from all angles. But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn’t see the other man again.

Maybe he had imagined the man. What other logical explanation could there be? When a woman screamed, Damian blinked, realizing that he was pointing his Glock skywards. Right then, he was the one who looked pretty suspicious. Hastily returning his Glock to the back of his waistband, where he kept it well hidden beneath his blazer, Damian raised the neck of his suit and hurriedly disappeared between two buildings, disappearing into the night. When he came out on the well-lit other side, the feeling of being followed had become smaller…and he’d more or less convinced himself that he’d only imagined the man he’d seen. I’m overworking myself, that’s why I’m hearing voices, he kept repeating inside his head like a mantra until, as he ducked into a café for a small coffee, his cell phone rang.

“Firth?” he barked out, handing over some coins. “Damian, here’s Simon,” the head of the homicide department tiredly sighed into Damian’s ear. “We’ve found another one.” The detective tensed up. These were bad news. So another body had been found? “Where?” “Two streets north of where you live,” the policeman told him, giving him a rundown. “It’s the same like the past few: hardly any blood left, no signs of a forced entry- we’re really tapping around in the dark. I’d be really helpful for any tips you could give me.” Damian hung up, more determined than ever to succeed that night. It was his district, damn it. Taking a short sip of his coffee, Damian walked into the shadows, already having forgotten the appearance on the roof.
