How long have you been reading yaoi?

About 4 or 5 years now. My cousin got me into shojo manga but then one day I came across yaoi while reading shojo on the internet, I don't remember what it was, but it just went from there. I don't really read shojo anymore even though I liked it a lot when I started...

my first yaoi manga was Sojou no Koi wa Nido Haneru. I think that was about 2 years ago. Back then, I was an innocent young gal who only knows the world of shoujo. But after reading that, I got curious and searched for other yaoi manga. And there goes my sweet innocence, slowly walking awayrabbit10 HAHA

I've start reading yaoi by chance and curiosity since a long time ago, but it was in the past 3~4 years that I actually hype up about it. XD

Well I discovered it when I was around 13? But didn't really like it that much so I just kind of left it alone until I met a friend who explained what yaoi was to me,I think I was around 14/15. and well... I was introduced with my first yaoi which was Sensitive Pornograph.

I remember I had to keep pausing because I was blushing so much watching it, then I moved onto softer stuff like Gravitation and Loveless, and my all time favourite Junjou Romantica!

 

So uh...around 6 years. But its only been lately that my interest has been hyped up.

I started reading yaoi, 11 years ago. My first manga was read n.y n.y by Marimo Ragawa, when it was published in France. 11 years already. My first manga was read ny ny when it was published in France. Then I mostly read fanfiction (mostly gundam wing), around 2006 I started to read manga and I have not stopped since.

I started at the Storm in Heaven, mochi mochi, Shi-Ran and Obsession scanlations era... when internet is painfully slow.. so much that 4mb takes more than 30minutes to finish downloading.

Demian Syndrome was my first but I stopped halfway because I was looking for "swordfights" and it didn't feel like it was going anywhere. If you have that slow of a net connection then you'd grow impatient too. (Years later, I finished it anyway! Yay!) Then I found "Inu mo Arukeba Fallin' Love" and then... I was suddenly opened to the world of BL.

it is been 6 months i am reading yaoi so i am new at this but i know some, i started with sekai ichi hatsukoi anime then just started watching what ever got my interest that is all and read anything that had some sexual drawing i like that

Omg, I remeber all the scanlations group you mentions. I esp like Mochi Mochi out of all the groups. Remember back then most of the groups hosting their projects in IRC? Lol, I don't know how to dl from IRC so I always dl a lot of Yaoi from Aarinfantasy.

 

For me it would be almost 9 years as well. If I'm not wrong it would be around November or December of 2005.

Wow! You guys sure have a long history with yaoi. I started about 4 years ago when I came across Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. It's classic and at first I had no idea what I was doing but that's where it all started. I still remember blushing so much while watching.

It's only been about 4-5 years since I first read yaoi? of course Junjou Romantica since a friend introduced it to me. I've read a lot of yaoi manga but I'm very picky with them so im still a noobie~
